Dr. Soliman is the man! His class is very easy and he gets you interested in programing even if you aren't that into it. Show up, do the assignment for the day, and study the exam guides and you are guaranteed and A. Definitely recommend him!

Took as an 8 week class this past summer, but it was fairly easy. He is there when you need help understanding material. Just show up do the in class assignments and study his study guide for his exams. All the questions come from the study guide except he changes it from multiple choice to Tor F.

This is the only PhD professor we have in this field. He is brilliant and makes love programming. He is very helpful and understanding if you have a problem and can't submit an assignment on time. The assignments are very helpful for practice. He gives us a chance to improve our grades and stays after class for hours to help us. Wonderful professor

This professor is great! Very helpful, and answers emails promptly. Very patient with if you can't complete the assignments on time. He made me love engineering and maths. He is the man for this course.

Dr. Soliman was very helpful. He went through things very quickly, but was very willing to help students when questions were asked. He has an accent but he's usually still pretty easy to understand. If you miss class, he lets you make up hands-on activities to get points.

Dr. Soliman is am amazing professor. I would highly recommend taking him. His exams are easy as he gives a set of questions to study. And the rest of the assignments are hands on, so you are guaranteed to receive a grade for them. I took his 6 eek summer class and got an A. Take him if you can, highly recommended.

Accent can be tough to follow, but will go back if you have issues. 2 main tests that are mostly True/False. Most of the work is the projects, you do one a day. He lectures through the project then prints out the code for you to check your own, once he sees the code working, you are given a Windows project. Overall an easy A if you show up.

The only problem is that his English isn't well polished. Just show up to class and you'll get an A. Seriously. His mid term and final are extremely easy since he gives a study guide for each.

Just attend the class, complete the projects and get a good grade on a very easy test you'll get an A.

I am not a math person, but I loved this class. I learned a lot, and it was also great to complete it knowing how to do stuff in practice. His lab sessions are great. I think Dr. Soliman is new in this school. Glad they hired him, even if I think he should be in George Washington where he graduated from. Strongly recommend if you reallwant to learn

This professor is a real gem. Very knowledgeable and nice. If you really want to learn, take him, work and you'll never regret it. He made me love engineering. He uses his own Apps he created for the class. It's so hands-on that if you study seriously, you'll end up as a great engineer. Hs method is great . Loved his class

I read a post by a student who took the same class. I am confident he did is a failure. In class, every item is carefully explained. He shows you every step to follow, and asks you to work on it in class. If you miss a class, counts on you to study and come with questions (I missed 1). He also asks you to practice at home. Great Teacher

Just don't understand why students lie about professors. If you failed in your tests with Dr. Soliman it's because you failed to study. Before any test, he makes a review in class about the course material and gives examples very similar to the tests. I am doing well till now (7/10/2018). But, I never leave early & wok on my assignments

I saw the post about the accent. Well if you are focused on the accent its' because you are not focused on the course. Despite his accent, his lectures are very clear. You have to work and practice to pass this class. You have to be patient & practice. This is engineering. I enjoy the hand-on part. He is excellent and very helpful.

I am taking a 5 weeks course. It's expected to be intensive. Great professor who is very organized. Every class, we also practice for the last hour. You are expected to practice and review course material at home. So far am exited about this class. You learn while you study. Must be serious. So far, I have an A

I took his 8-week spring class. The points were out of 100 total so very small margin to get things wrong. I only got three questions wrong the entire semester and barely got an A. I also studied very hard the entire time. This class was online. He is flexible and somewhat responsive. I am not an A student so that shows you that its possible.

He really cares about his students' success. He made the class very simple and easy to pass. He might be confusing if you ask him general questions about the material but if you focus on his assignments you should be fine.

I took his summer class, and Dr. Soliman is very clear and explains the concepts really well, although he's a little repetitive and annoying. He's also nice, caring, and understanding. We had a graded worksheet based on each lecture at the end of class and practice exams similar to the actual ones. He's basically everything you want in a professor.

Good Prof, do homework and pay attention and you should be fine.

Here is the truth, if you are starting ECE at NVCC, you only have 2 choices. DrSoliman or DrCharbel. Neither professor covers the content of the class well. The key difference is that this guy is nice and wants his students to pass. If you are serious about transferring, take DrSoliman and read and practice from the book. it is your best bet.

Failing students always lie. I saw the other reviews. It is not true. He really knows his stuff. He is a modest professor with a PhD earned a long time ago. If you want to succeed you must review your lectures & focus in class. I did. He is a mathematician who knows engineering. He is an asset for the college. He should be at Princeton not NOVA

Excellent professor. Must be ready to learn in class and follow the lecture. In class projects. Very knowledgeable. No kidding. I could have failed. But realized I needed to work harder. So all can do it.

This is honest review. Take him. He knows his stuff, ask questions, he is honest, he will help you if you show effort, he is understanding and wants all the students to succeed. If you use your phone he will say  «  you paid for this class! You need to be attentive » he gives clear study guide for finals

CLASS WAS EASY AS PROF SOLIMAN PROVIDED ALL THE MATERIALS NEEDED. EXTRA CREDIT, FLEXIBLE DEADLINES, STUDY GUIDE WILL BE PROVIDED OF WHICH 90 PERCENT IS SURE. TAKE HIM..!!

i transferred to UVa, and his class for EGR251 was on point. He teaches it better than the profs here! I would not recommend taking EGR265 at NOVA though

Great professor, makes electrical circuits easy to understand. Does not use complicated numbers to solve problems as that is not the main factor. Lectures are straightforward, organized. Although he would make minor mistakes in solving problems. Little homework, test is same as study guide, different numbers.

Really nice Professor. I took his online class for 7 weeks, and he is courteous and always grade on time. His lecture video really does help. This is an engineering class so you can't expect him to just hand you good grades. watch his lectures, do the lab and you will be fine. He also offers extra credit and lab redo if you want.

Professor Soliman comes up as a very fast paced and disregarding professor, but he is a good professor. I liked his labs/tests and grading. He can come up as being very fast paced but if you rewatch his lectures and read his notes from his website, you will understand. It is not easy material, I took it with another professor before and I did bad.

Amazing professor, records the lectures and goes over how to do assignments and the labs are really easy. It's an easy class and he really does care about your grade and gives you as many opportunities as possible to help you succeed, and he knows what he's talking about so don't be afraid to ask your questions.

One of the nicest professors. Just do the homework. class is divided in percentages totaling up to 100. 8 homework assignments all worth 5 % individually. attendance 1 point for each lecture 10 lectures. 25% mid-term 25% for final exam. He gave extra credit. EXTREMELY CARING ITS NOT HARD JUST TAKE HIM YOU WONT REGRET IT.

I've had Dr. Soliman for 2 classes - EGR 125 and EGR 272. I wish I would have had him for both Circuits 1 and 2; Dr. Soliman actually explains things. Homework is easy as long as you follow his lectures. He also answers questions about math techniques and methods to solve problems.

Professor Soliman is not the most intuitive with modern technology, however he makes EGR 271 very simple. He is always quick to respond and grades very quickly. For the first half of the course, he will let you resubmit assignments for full credit if mistakes are fixed. All lectures are pre-recorded and he only posts one a week (no working ahead).
