Dr. Nahla is very helpful and nice, and she explains difficult material very well. Her class is very organized, and you know what is expected of you. An excellent teacher all around.

I took her for a lab class. She is a very good teacher and can teach very well. But don't get on her bad side otherwise she will grade you harder and single you out when she has a problem with you (the whole class hears it). Her labs are very fun and her quizzes are straightfoward (she tells you what's going to be on it). Take her.

Dr. Nahla is one of those teachers that encourages you to keep trying. She really cares about her students and it shows. She explains everything very well and even offers extra credit when the class needs it. She even takes questions directly from her worksheets, and she warns you that she will. It doesn't get much easier than that! I loved her!

the test are easy if u do homework and take notes from lecture. The final isn't that hard either. Make sure u turn in ur homework and do well on the quiz. It will screw u if u don't. Besides that it will help u on the tests cause the test are way easier then the quiz and homework. Very good teacher

Dr. Nahla is the BEST. She assigns quite a bit of work, but its not difficult. She is an AWESOME TEACHER. If you have any questions she will explain it as many times as necessary until you understand. YOU MUST TAKE HER! Without a doubt the best teacher at SCC. She is the sweetest person on top of it. I took the online class and I enjoyed it. You definitely have to study though and go into the class knowing a little bit about Chem cuz otherwise you're screwed. You have a quiz every week and there's a lot of homework, but you need to do them if you want to pass. She also offers a lot of extra credit which helps a LOT.

I took her chem 209 online class and she was very helpful at all times. Once I was really confused and she helped me out through email, very clear and understandable. I have to say taht i am not a chem major, but she does her best to help you out learn, specially her online class. Love her! She is very sweet.

Dr. Nahla is a great Chemistry professor. She gives alot of worksheets that help with reinforcing lecture information and is always happy to help and answer questions in both office hours and the star center. Your grade in this class is determined by the amount of work you put in. Keep up with the schedule and you will love this class.

Dr. Nahla's hybrid class is difficult and she is a tough grader. You will not pass her class if you do not spend many hours weekly in the STAR center. She is in charge of the center, and set up her class to where you have to go there to succeed. If you don't already know chem, do not take this class, it will be a nightmare!!!

I took Dr. Nahla's 8 week course, and I definitely came into the class with the idea that I was going to hate this class. Nahla definitely turned that around for me, she was incredibly patient, always happy to be there. Don't feel shy to email her when needing help. Only downside of this class is you better be a fast test taker.

Only way to survive organic chemistry is to take it with Dr. Nahla. Best chem professor I have taken in my life. Offers extra credit and practice exams when the class does bad on exams. Exams are hard and challenges you but if you ask her for help she is more than willing to help. Cares about her students and knew everyones name early in semester.

Miss Nahla is the best Chemistry teacher I have ever had. I took her class during summer and passed with an A. Her lectures are fun and well understood. The best chem teacher I have ever had! If you want to do well in ochem, I suggest taking 249 & 259 with Nahla! Posts PowerPoint lectures online to print, and is an amazing lecturer. Also offers extra credit. Weekly quizzes, but they really help for the tests. Do the DLAs, worksheets, homework and practice exams, and tests shouldn't be terrible.

Dr Nahla is an AMAZING PROFESSOR. I wish she teaches Gen Chem, I'd instantly sign up for her class. She expects you to do you work, and come to class prepared with your hw, worksheet, and pre-lab. She'll keep going on and on on how to solve a problem, until you get it. I can tell she really cares for her students. She wants US to succeed in life.

Now here's a professor that know's how to really teach a chemistry class. Whoever wrote bad things about her must be lazy to do "WORK" as a student. Expect a lot of HW, Lab WS, Quizzes, Test, & some E.C. from her class. She's tough but very FAIR with students. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to take CHEM 209. Nahla is a great teacher! She is super nice and super clear and she's funny! I really enjoyed her class, she is down to earth. Shes offer plenty of extra credit and makes test and quizzes very clear so you can prepare well. Chemistry is not easy but she makes is very clear to understand. I would definitely take her again. I really enjoyed taking Chem 209 with Dr Nahla, it was a tough class but if you stay on top of everything you should be fine. If you do not memorize Nomenclature you will struggle in this class. She offered a large amount of extra credit n the form of DLAs which I found to be very helpful.

Dr. El-Said is one of the nicest professors on campus. She genuinely cares for her students and is passionate about teaching them everything that has to do with chemistry. She hands out a lot of extra credit through DLAs and homework points. There are 10 quizzes and 4 exams + final. I would recommend taking a morning lab bc it helps w/ review!

She gives a lot of extra credit and that with the lab stuff, its an easy A! I recommend anyoneto take her. You really do learn a lot. I spent a lot of time in the STAR(?) lab doing the extra credit and preparing for the exams with classmates. I would take her again for 200A if she offered it. She's easy to approach and is easy going!

Dr. Nahla was definitely that professor that changed my educational journey for the better. What you put in is what you get from the class. Put in effort to show her you care and study ALL the material she provides and you will get an A in the class. She does go very into detail, but the material needs to be known for the MCAT/PCAT etc.

It was my first time taking a class with Dr. Nahla. I was intimated at first because people told me she was hard. Kind of true but that's ochem for you! She's a great teacher and makes sure you understand the material. She's just the sweetest professor at SCC! and genuinely cares for her students. Sucks I didn't get that full in-person experience.

Make sure to re-practice the homework questions for Ochem as they are not due but are on the exams. Master those problems and take advantage of her office hours! I took Dr. Nahla for chem100 online. Think about your dream professor. This is her! She cares about her students, and if you don't understand a concept she will make sure to help you as much as she can. This class was a tough one for me but it benefited me in the end. The exams are the hardest part of the class, remembering everything you have learned and no notes. If you memorize nomenclature you will do well.

Really caters to students' needs, extended test and quiz times, pushed back the exam to give us a review day, SO much extra credit, so happy all the time. It's been such a great class. She records all her lectures and labs so I don't know how you can't get an A. Just a tip though, don't take advantage of how chill she is, show up and participate.

Coming out of CHEM20B this semester with Dr. Nahla made me feel like I didn't learn ENOUGH chemistry this semester. Dr. Nahla is an amazing professor who prepares detailed and informational lectures and provides enough extra credit that anyone who studies hard and is dedicated can get an A in the class. Get ready for a lot of cyclic strutures!

OMG SHES AMAZING. She took the time to learn every one of her students' names and get to know everyone. I emailed her a question once and not only did she have a timely response, but she followed up with me in person the next class. She clearly loves her job and it makes class fun. Just show up to the lab and lecture and you'll do great.

She is patient, kind, and very fair. Chemistry was difficult for me, but she gave so much extra credit and helped me so much that I earned an A. Show up to every class, study, do the extra credit, show her you care, and she will make sure that you pass her class. She is a fantastic professor and I doubt you'll find a better option here at S.C.C.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Nahla!!!! In my two years of college so far, she has literally been the greatest professor ever! She definitely offers the extra support if you need it. SOOOO much extra credit, I got a low C on my final but with the extra credit i still got an A in the class!!!

I would 100% take Nahla again. She makes it very straight forward and easy to pass. About every week there is a short quiz on each chapter. She will tell you what is on the quiz and does not try and trick you.There are no lab exams or quizzes if you take her for lab. Each exam she gives a study guide which is exactly how the test is going to look.

There is no denying this class was hard, but Dr. Nahla makes it so worth it. The most kind, compassionate, energetic professors I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. REALLY knows her stuff, and is more than happy to explain it to you if you're struggling. Be prepared to do a lot of hw outside of class to prepare for lectures.

Dr. Nahla is easily one of the best professors I've had. Her lectures are easy to understand and she gave out over 60+ points of EC. She is forgiving on tests and gives credit for your work. Overall she's very compassionate and I'm happy to say I ended with an A. Be sure to ask questions and take good notes as each topic builds on each other.

She always goes above and beyond to support her students, providing extra help to anyone who needs it and offering opportunities like extra credit to make sure everyone has a fair chance to succeed. Professor El Said is the most genuine, kind, and inspiring Professors' I've met! She genuinely cares for her students and does an excellent job teaching! Her lectures are interactive and help so much with quizzes and exams. Additionally she provides over 70+ points in EC!! I can't recommend her enough! She makes a hard subject possible to excel in!

OChemB is the hardest class I've taken but it'd be worse w/o Dr Nahla's guidance. You won't find a prof as genuine and sweet as her. She wants her students to succeed so lots of EC is given. Great lectures, helpful HW, many resources, it's ur job to use them right. My tip: there's at least 200 rxns/mech, rewrite all in a notebook with labels/rules.

I took Dr. Nahla for both 280A and B. Ochem is a very hard class, but she makes it so much easier with her amazing lectures. I think B is harder than A no matter what anyone says, so be prepared. My advice is to do her practice exams because you'll see questions repeated from her practice exams on the real exams. She is the sweetest person ever!!
