The best first-year psychology prof there is. Haddad cares so much about her students and their success. Lectures are engaging and focused. Does not post any slides online, but if you miss a class it is very easy to catch up in the textbook. She really is a wonderful woman!

Textbook is helpful for the exam, especially because it had the launchpad quizzes (DO THEM), however it's not really mandatory. I got over an 80% on the final without really studying. Midterms are slightly more difficult because they're more specific as there is less material to cover. Her lectures are amazing and I'd take her again whenever!!!!!!!

One of the best profs i have ever had, took the class as a retake to bump my GPA go to class and write down all the stuff she says (She repeats the important info) and read the textbook and you are guaranteed an A. No trick questions, straight from lectures and she tells you what types of questions to expect. Cool, or what?!

so I actually am not even enrolled in her class but still attend her lectures, her class is the reason why Im passing my psych class. Her lectures are super interesting as she knows how to keep everyone engaged using great examples that helps you understand the material and not just memorize it.

My favourite prof in uni - She is so approachable and hard working - always willing to spread her intellect. Attendance is not mandatory but her classes are always fun and she tries her best to give us as many examples as possible and make the class interesting, therefore, I would highly recommend attending classes. Readings are very important.

Show up to lectures because she doesn't post the notes online and there's no laptops allowed. She does repeat the important things over again though. She'll tell you some of the questions on the midterms and offers study tips for the final exam. She really cares about her students to the point where it seems fake. Read the textbook & notes!

Thought I would write this as a bit of a heads up. When looking at other reviews on here, it makes it look as though this class is not very difficult. However, I did not find for this to be the case. It is fairly content heavy and the wording of exams can be tricky. Do not think that the 10% from ISPR and quizzes will help your grade that much.

Professor Haddad clearly cares about her students and gives honest advice on how to do well in her course. The class overall was super easy, as long as you read the textbook youre guaranteed to pass! I recommend going to every lecture or at least having friends that do. Basically every answer to the exams are sentences within the textbook, so it was useful. Professor Haddad was always extremely positive and fun to listen to.

The best prof Do your ISPR Midterm 1 and 2 are a mixture of textbook and lecture. The final exam is like 90 percent textbook and 10 percent lectures. Make sure you attend every class, its not just about definitions, she asks questions that allows her to know if you understand the concept beyond the definition. Understand examples. Totally worth it

Tests are tough, I think it was just MC but they were tricky as all the MC answers were similar so receiving a grade above 95 is nearly impossible. Prof. Haddad was extremely considerate throughout the semester, she checked in on her students often to make sure if we had any doubts, etc. The course was run mainly on TopHat along with her lectures which you could follow along to and easily takes notes because she provides a template for it.

The material is fairly easy to understand, but there is a lot of it: the textbook is mandatory reading and the exam also covers that (but she will indicate which sections you should learn).

I've had Dr.Haddad for PSY1101, PSY1102 and PSY2110 and she's one of my favourite professors! Go to class, study and you will do well! In PSY2110 she doesn't allow computers, but will allow you to write on an ipad or notebook. This made it a little more difficult for some students, but it didn't affect my work too much.

When I took Dr. Haddad in first year, 1101, I didn't like her because her teaching style was unconventional: no words on the slides, mainly vocal, listening and taking notes class. In second year she limits her students to physical note-taking (no laptops/typing). But she is very caring towards her students and wants you to pass.

PSY1101, is a lot of content compared to PSY1102 so be prepared for that. Haddad is a really good prof, you can tell she is passionate about psychology and that she really does care for her students. I did find her a little too joyful for psychology at 8:30 in the morning but that's probably just my own problem lol, do practice questions a lot!

Prof is super accessible outside of class to go over exams/midterms, she also clearly loves to teach and cares deeply for her students. Course however is content heavy and lots of terms and examples to understand and apply. MAKE SURE TO UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPTS RATHER THAN MEMORIZING! Exams are all MC, and consist of 3 term marks.

Great prof. Easy marks through free 6% and ISPR (4% research participation). Exams are very fair, it's super light studying when you focus in class. The only times I found it hard was when I skipped and was teaching myself off the textbook and empty notes. Exams are pretty much focused on the lectures but have some textbook-specific questions.

Amazing prof and easy straight forward lectures. She even provides "bullet point" documents that state what she's going to cover during the lecture so it makes it really easy to follow. There's 2 midterms and one final. She states exactly what's going to be on each so you know what to study. I'd definitely recommend her!

GREAT PROF! She cares about her students and gives us study guides for the exams, which have the same content as the actual tests making them helpful and very reliable. She jokes during class while purposefully telling us to take breaks and that makes it more engaging instead of monotone and tedious with typing.

Go to lectures and you'll go through this class smoothly. It's very easy to get a great grade with Haddad + she cares for her students and is available after class for questions. She uses TopHat (free!) and it's very helpful but mostly supplementary. Use it for the (again, free!) ungraded quizzes/tests to see if you understand the material.

If you listen and write notes during class, it will be very easy to pass the class as she teaches the material that are found on the midterms.

Best prof I have had so far. She explains things very clearly and her exams are fair (only MCQ). Honestly, if you attend most of her lectures and study off the textbook (and notes), this class should be an easy A. The only negative I could give is that she doesn't post slides :/

She honestly my favourite professor I've had. Not only is the class pretty easy to understand but her lectures make you understand the concept even more. We used TopHat so to be fair the textbook was pretty simple but I truly feel like her lectures got me with the class. Plus she has herr little jokes which makes it more engaging.

She is very good at giving entertaining lectures, it's clear she has a passion for what she does. She makes it easy to do well, only downside is she seems to only teach 8AMs and I can't do that to myself. Otherwise, a very lovely prof.

She's like a ball of sunshine. Her lectures were so engaging and fun that it made up for the class being at 8:30 for me (which says a lot). You don't HAVE to go to class, memorizing the textbook is enough for an A+. Study from both her notes and the textbook. Class notes alone are not enough for an A+.

Her lectures are so easy to follow, and she is always so energetic. She repeats her most important points twice so you can make sure you have notes. I have never had a professor keep me so locked in.

Have fun with her because she isn't one easy to forget. Do what she says it helps. Her exams were a breeze, you can finish within 30 mins with highest mark possible. Her exams are not made to trick you, the answer is literally always there. Good luck whoever has her next and cherish it!

Dr. Haddad is hands-down one of the best undergraduate professors that I have had at uOttawa. This wasn't even one of my required courses. It was merely an elective that I chose in my first year due to my interest in psychology in high school. She makes the lecture content accessible with clear examples, and actively engages the class. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The BEST prof you can come across. Her lectures are engaging and funny, she emphasizes certain content (hints at what's going to be on exams). Exams are extremely easy, even if you barely study but just simply go over the notes. She genuinely wants you to succeed. And she remembered my name months later even tho we talked once!! Beautiful soul >.<

Professor Haddad is amazing. She is passionate about psychology, and her passion will make you passionate about it, too. She cares about her students, has very clear grading criteria, and really wants you to do well. She is amazing. I find her tests very fair, not easy and not impossible. You definitely need to know your stuff.

It is very obvious she cares about being a professor, her lectures are engaging and she tries to help you as much she can. The course is very test heavy but other then that an amazing course!

Although attendance is not mandatory, I HIGHLY recommend going to class. I assumed I would be okay with just reading the textbook at home but many of the questions on the MC exams were in-class questions. Her lectures are super engaging anyways (but early.) She remembers your name and really, really makes you feel cared for. An absolute gift.

Prof. Haddad is a good professor. She is enthusiastic and inspirational to her students. However, her courses are to be taken more seriously after first year. As she really wants you to learn, so her exams are a bit harder. I would say that if you want to take one of her courses as an easy elective, then good luck!

Dr. Haddad is truly heaven sent. She is the sweetest professor I've ever met, she cares about all of her students, and even her 8:30 am lectures are easy to pay attention to. She is always full of life and energy. It's very refreshing to see :)

She's the kindest and most passionate professor at uOttawa. She's very generous and considerate when it comes to your learning/grade and gives you the chance to succeed. Unlike some profs at UO she actually wants you to succeed. And even though some of her classes are full with over 400 students she still makes you feel seen and appreciated.

Top-tier professor, absolutely pick her class if you get the choice. First-year psych tests are standardized so profs don't choose them, but after first year her exams are very fair and well-written. Cares about students and wants you to learn. I would take any of her classes anytime without question. Textbook required, need it for marks.

One of my favourite professors. Gives lecture outlines to follow along with which makes listening and engaging in the lectures very easy. She gives real life examples for almost every concept which really helps to understand and memorize materials. Loved her and the class
