He's a young teacher, who grades conservatively. He designs this course to be slightly harder than most professors, it's psuedo Harvard style.

NICE TEACHER, BUT TOUGH GRADER.

We used the book at first, then sort of gave up. As long as you work your butt off on the papers and try, you'll get an A. Make sure you know how to do works cited, annotated biblio, and citing a source within the paper. If you have any questions, stay after and talk to him. He'll help and he's a GREAT GUY. Bought us doughnuts on last day!

He is an awsome teacher. It is a very laid back class. We always end up rambling on about stuff for almost the entire class and yet it helps us in our essays. He is a tough grader though, but if you try hard and do all that you are assigned to do, then you should be fine.

The main thing (if not the ONLY thing) you gotta worry about are the ESSAYS! There are a few like 5. Yes extra credit (ex: watch Borat -movie). Laid-back class, participation, kind, cool, major movie fan!, sometimes gets sidetracked by students. Recite a poem in front of class, talk about your book while in your seat. Bought Krispy Kreme- last day.

I had so much fun in his class, We did very little work and talked about movies the whole time. It was a class to just have fun, as long as you did the few assignments that he has.

Hes a nice guy and very smart. I liked his class and I think if you take advantage of his help you can learn a lot from his class. He's kind of bad about grading stuff and he'll tell you something is due one day but then forgets and doesn't expect it due for another week or two which can be frustrating if you do your work ontime.

Mr. Pant is a great teacher. At times he may seem kind of scatter-brained, but if you ask him a question after class, or email it to him, he answers it to the best of his ability. He is a very nice guy, and very fun. The class is extremely fun, since he allows his students to debate or deeply discuss a subject.

Mr. Pant is very nice and makes a lot of class discussions which are fun if you get involved. He is very picky when grade his essays and his summary/critiques so don't make a lot of silly mistakes and you'll be fine.

Class itself is fun. Teacher is kind of creepy.

Mr. Pant is knowledgeable and grades tough but he allows rewrites and late papers :)

Being that this was a online summer course, I have never met the man; however, he assignments are easy essay and reading assignment that he will promptly help with directional difficulties. He does require thought put into every assignment but is fair giving what is gained. He would have to be the best online professor I have ever had.

I took Dr. Pant's class as an 8-week course. There were a total of three 2-3 page essays due and one 5-page research paper. He gave very few smaller assignments. He dropped the lowest grade of the three essays as well. Great teacher and very willing to help with proof-reading and review of papers.

Fun to attend class=D.only class i dont get sleepy.he is willing to help you out on essays.His essays are bit too broad, so might be bit difficult to know exactly what he is looking for.Overall good teacher=)

Nalin is awsome. He is a great teacher. He is very clear, helpful, and instructive. He is funny and constantly engages the class in discussions to stress the point of our assingments. He likes Justin Biber, but is not very fond of Megan Fox. Great teacher I highly recommend his classes.

Such a fantastic teacher! He made the class fun and interesting. I love this guy! Hes very lenient about due-dates, just make sure you actually do the work. He made a lot of relevant jokes and was very chill. I wish I could take him for 102 but its not available :( Hes good at teaching if you're willing to learn. He also makes many movie references

Great professor ! I am glad I got the chance to meet such a good professor. Very helpful! Answered all my questions and always gave me feedback towards all my essays. He always answered all my emails and concerns. I highly recommend this professor! Take him you won't regret it.

easy class. about 4 papers and 12 or so discussion posts... i only received the grade from my very first paper. after that the professor never responded to my emails. he said there was a final exam nut when i asked him about it he never responded and I never took one. Overall, an easy class but I never knew my grade till it was on my transcript

His class feels like a high school class. He's very helpful if you ask questions. Only downfall is he takes forever to grade assignments!

Prof. Pant is great. I have him for English 223 online and his assignments are super clear, and overall they are very easy. You read books and then watch their movie equivalent, write a few papers, and do some discussion posts. It's honestly the easiest class ever if you like to read and watch films.

Very helpful professor. He has a really easy class. His class has a lot of participation. Only problem is that I wished he just grades faster.

the BEST eng prof EVER! assigns two essays (3 pgs), one research essay (5-7 pgs). Three presentations, two of which are group presentations. He also has a few more assignments that are the simplest of all. Very interesting class topics and discussions. He makes sure everyone's opinions are voiced. Taken over summer 4 wk & it was very manageable.

He is a very good teacher I would recommend this class, the only thing is there are a few essays as expected and his a tough grader on them. But he gives a grade for going to the writing center and getting help from them with you papers.

Professor Pant is a very good teacher. He makes learning English fun, very funny. He is a tough grader especially with grammar but helps in any way he can. He does take a while to grade essays which is annoying. Gives a lot of assignments and some quizzes which helps to bring your grade up if you don't do that well on essays. I recommend it.

I loved World Lit with Nalin Pant. There is a lot of reading involved, and as he said before every quiz, "You either read it or you didn't." He would tell you generally things you should know and understand about the reading, and that would definitely show up on the quizzes. He does take awhile to grade, but the grades do end up in the book.

awesome professor. I would recommend him to any student out there. The important key to remember is attendance never be absent and second just read the books and do the homework. I would definitely look into taking his class eng 231

If you turn in the essays and try you will get a great grade! Not a lot of tests or quizzes or assignments. You literally go to class to learn about the essay you'll be doing next. 5 essays total.

This is English 101 and reading and essays are required. The syllabus and outline are clear cut and to the point. Professor takes a while to grade papers or answer comments. I found my grade out by pulling transcript and tried to contact him because the grades were still not posted for me to review. Be aware and just call or email to stay on top!

I love Nalin's class! The only drawback is the amount of time it takes to receive your grade for your essays! He is great with everything else, clarity and reasonable with work. He is also a fast grader on all the assignments except essays! Expect not to know the grades of essays till the end or after the semseter

If I gave this class a LITTLE more attention I would've easily gotten an A+. First off, he gives a clear guideline with what he wants in the syllabus. So take note and stay organized and prepared for tests/quizzes. Honestly,most of the questions he asks on the test are pretty basic, so if you read the book (Sparknotes too) you will do fine.

He is cool. I took him online. I messed up grammatically and he let me redo it.

Easy online class. Majority of grade comes from four essays, so as long as you do well on those, you'll pass. There were technical difficulties with the program used, but he was very understanding and cool about it. The only downside is that he waits until the end of the course to grade essays, so you won't know what u did wrong until later.

The 4 week class was easy i guess. 2 essays 1 research 3 discussions. He didnt put grades for my essays so I didnt know my grade until I checked my transcript after the class ended.

I had him for ENG 101 online and I want him for ENG 102 so go for it. This course was very layed out for you if you do the work you will walk away with an A. the non research and the research papers you pick the topic he simply tells you some topics that are no goes. He is very understanding if something happens in your personal life he cares.

Great teacher ! Warning there are pop quizzes almost every single week; I have received bad grades on some of them but he gives you several extra credit options to bring it back up. Caring and over all great teacher ! Entertaining and kind as well. Be prepared to read as well !

many books are required for this class to read. Not sure if he provides cheaper ways to access these, but I has to buy all my books. Fair grading, nice guy, fun assignments

This class is about what you'd expect, if not easy, for an english class. I really like all the books we read, connected to immigration. I'm glad it finally got me to read The Kite Runner! All you have to do is read the books and take a few tests and write a couple papers.

Relaxed atmosphere. Got through his class relatively easy. No textbook used. It is a requirement to go to the writing center for points. He is understanding and very charismatic. Most people that would complain about this teacher are the kind of people that never really wanted to try to begin with.

A great guy who wants you to succeed and has a clear syllabus. Read all of the assignments he assigns and pay attention to detail in the stories for his quizzes. Spelling counts!

Definitely recommend taking his class! It was one of the best college classes I have had so far. Everyone knew each others name and he created a great environment where everyone actually talked to one another. There was a lot of reading but it was possible to get done. He does not tell you when there will be a quiz so make sure you read! Fun class!

(ACTUALLY I TOOK ENGLISH 231 WITH HIM) This is literature so expect to read. There will also be pop quizzes that aren't so hard if you read. The readings are kind of hard to understand at first and they get easier throughout the semester. One group project that's very easy. He's very nice and understanding. Definitely recommend him.

Very nice professor and easygoing. Relax and warm environment in his class. But tough on essay grading. Writing center stamp is required. Grammar takes lots of points.

This is the only english class I have ever been successful in. There is a lot of reading, but it is all short stories. Every essay needs a stamp from the writing center which gets annoying, but it honestly helps. I love his class and always leave feeling inspired. I wish he could be my eng prof for all of college, take him if you can!! (EASY A!)

Nalin Pant is a swell guy. He talks about different aspects of culture and how they can pertain to what we are reading or how it affects us in the real world. His quizzes are not that difficult, just read the material. Pant was a charming professor that you could talk about anything with.

Amazing professor, one of my favorites! He created a fun and caring classroom environment as he actually makes you learn students names. His lectures were always super fun and I was never bored. Attendance is mandatory and try not to miss class, lots of quizzes you can't make up. Super caring professor, but takes a while to grade things.

Professor Pant is a really cool guy! He gives 5 pages worth of reading every week and goes over it each class with interesting discussions. There's no pop quizzes or hard tests. The atmosphere is very chill and participation is always appreciated.

took the online summer 4 week class. As someone who hates writing papers, I expected a lot of HW as its only 4 weeks but there were only 3 essays that were super simple, with 1 discussion post each week (super easy too) & a few more assignments but nothing overwhelming. If you do the work you'll easily pass, 100/10 recommend (great feedback too)

Professor Pant is a good instructor. He is honest in his assessments and feedback and the module was fairly easy to follow along with. Overall I had a good experience and would take another class with him.

gives good feed back. However, he grades late. Assignments are not hard, but just be ready to read. You will pass his class if show up to class and study every now and then. One big writing paper that is worth 150 points&3 quizzes, but he gives you enough time. Attendance is not required, but strongly encourage.

Everything's fine. Show up, do the work, not much work honestly. However, always late on grading. This is my input but I my weakest link is english. I NEED* him to grade my assignments on time because how am I suppose to improve if I don't get feedback in time, and also apply it to the newer assignments.

He gives a big amount of work but it is a college class so it is expected, he can give you 5 assignments over the weekend, BUT they are easy assignments. He also really makes you interact with the class which is really great as you make new friends and get to network. Do the reading because he WILL have a pop quiz on it weather you read or not.

I was very nervous going into this class since I am not a good writer, but his lectures were inspiring and helped open up my mind. He thoroughly goes through all steps for an essay as well. He gives short stories to read that link with the essays you will write later. There is a handful of discussions, but they really help with your essays.

Nalin is such a kind and caring professor. By the end of the semester, your class feels like a family. His essays are very straight forward and easy to write. No extra credit or late work allowed but the class is very laid back and easy. I don't know about online but the in-person class was so much fun.

I really enjoyed having Professor Pant as a professor for Eng 231. It seemed like he really cares for his students and wants you to get the best grade as possible. I also appreciated that he provided extra credit. I don't really enjoy reading but I actually really liked the stories we read in this class as well as learning about Greek mythology.

He is really nice and very funny. The class isn't hard, you just need to complete all assignments because there is no makeup work. Only issue is he told us the final would mostly be on a certain subject and not much about the other stuff not true! You dont say this and do the opposite because it sets others up for failure! other than that great!
