Being my first online class and being nervous about it, I didin't expect to learn so much, feel like part of a class and get an 4.0. Nancy was so helpful and responvie to all my questions and concerns.

I want to be a broker and I work full time so I took this online course this summer. I was suprised how excellent it was. It was organized so I could easily learn the material and required projects that gave you a taste of being a broker. The tests were tough (to prepare us for the state exam & there were great extra credit projects.

Also I would have never learned what the difference is from property insurance if I hadn't taken this class. Now I know the differences and why it is soimportance to have both types of insurance for you own protection. Thanks for help

This was my first online course. One of the reasons why I marked this course as difficult is because the material is dry and I found online courses to be very difficult to stay engaged and driven. The professor was very helpful during the course of the class and always went out of her way to answer any questions. Web lessons would've been helpful

Nancy is one of my favourite teachers at North. I walked into BUS 101 (online) with no interest and now I'm thinking about actively pursuing business because of her! Her encouragement throughout the quarter is beyond incredible. The online class is fairly easy except for the quizzes and start early on the final business project! highly recommended

Hard tests but lots of extra credit given to make up for poor test scores. Tends to talk a lot about everything but text and stuff we need to know about for tests but nice, friendly, knowledgeable.

Nancy is the best professor and this Marketing class was actually fun! If you read the textbook and go to class and work on the open book quizzes as you go, you'll learn a ton and get an A. If you do poorly on a quiz, then you can do extra credit. Take this class!

Angel site and Connect site were very confusing in how they were set up. Calendar was incorrect in Connect so I completed the wrong assignment a few times trying to understand what was due.

Easy class

She is very nice! If you read the book and stay on top of assignments you will get an A. The material is not hard you just have to put in the time to do the assignments.

Makes students do there home work and tests are tough which require a lot of analysis which in turn requires students to do there homework in detail. Class discussions are helpful because Professor answers and explains any questions asked which helps everyone learn and understand in more detail. The take home midterm really prepares for final exam.

There is not that much interaction with Nancy in the online RES class but her instructions were very clear and easy to understand.

Nancy Adelson is very passionate about business and real estate. She is very inspiring and concerned about her students education, experience and participation. She gives exams and projects not just to make her students work but to help them learn. I greatly appreciate her style, willingness to help and passion for the subject.

Nancy she is a great teacher

I enjoyed the class because Nancy accepts late work, which allowed me to keep up on note taking without the stress of posting discussions last minute. I was able to go at my own pace and refine my answers, and better understand the content instead of rushing to meet a deadline.

It is great overall class. I would definitely take it again. My preference though would be I like being in class around my teachers and peers I wish there were more classes in real estate courses like that. She's fun, energetic and really wants you to be successful. Massive amounts of extra credit offered.

Good class, awesome hands on extra credit assignments. Get ready for lots of good discussion on the internet forums. I would recommend taking both RES100 (in person) and RES140 (online) at the same time. Its easier because there is a lot of cross over in the material.

Another round of butt kicking real estate course! Though not as tough as RES100, this RES140 seemed a bit tamer maybe because I seen some of the material before or the text book wasn't written by RE lawyers this time. Test questions I think are a straight forward yet there are some that are arguable. Great class, I learned a lot!

Using the main headings as an outline, take notes. Writing the information may help you remember it later as much of the information will be on tests. I found note cards to also be helpful.

This was my first online course ans anytime I emailed a question or comment she was quick (within 24 hrs) to respond and very positively. I really enjoyed this class and res175 which she also taught. I would enjoy taking another class with her.

I am working on my real estate license so this class is mandatory. I found it very easy to follow and because the projects were due on certain dates, I was sure to do them

Overall, this isn't my first class with this teacher at this college. She is a great teacher to have.

Class is well organized and managed. I personally do not like to participate in discussion forums for class credit, and online classes require it. It takes just a little bit of time, but the class is great if you are into it. I would like to see a hybrid course, so I can participate in person, whatever I can do to avoid discussion forums!

Lengthy reading with online posts required each week, in addition to an assignment almost every week. The quizzes are difficult but are designed that way in order to prep you for the Real Estate Licensing exam. Must be self motivated in order to succeed in this online class. Various extra credit opportunities are available.

Some of the quizzes and final are tough, unless you study hard. I thought this class was more difficult than RES 140which is strange because this is a 100 class. I'm glad I took the class even if I never become a Broker. This class should be taken by everyone who is a home owner or going to become one.

No words other than simply the best to be teaching neophytes the real estate profession. When I leave this institution, I will be well prepared to embark on a successful career in real estate with complete confidence!

I found it hard to get started with the class, but I don't think this was Nancy's fault, but more the forum for the class. Overall, I thought the assignments were well thought out, and the quizzes were challenging, but she gives you plenty of opportunities to earn extra credit.

My teacher seems to be hands on and most be incredibly organized because she is teaching multiple classes.

This online course was fun. There is a lot of reading required, but it's not that bad. Also, Nancy gives you lots of extra credit options which is great.

Professor Adelson did a great job encouraging us to participate for discussion by giving us extra credits if we posted more than the required posts. Our discussion sessions were always interesting and most of the classmates posted more than the requirement. That really helped us learn more and became more interested in the topics.

The quizs are difficult, but I think professor designed that way in order to prepare for the students to take State Real Estate license exam. She give extra credit of opportunities to made up and help student a lot. Excellent online professor, well organized and managed

The course, overall, is simple and quite easy. The discussion boards are pretty self explanatory and you can find all the answers in the book. The only book you need for this course if The Fundamental of Real Estate in WA. The other book isn't necessary even though it is required in the syllabus. Great class and I learned a lot!

I've never taken an online course before, so wasn't sure what to expect. I would have liked the instructor to join in on the eLearning weekly discussions.

Classroom expectations are easily understood. But there is a heavy amount of reading. Getting feedback & grades takes patience & that was a drawback for me. Basically a self taught class. Ive taken RES100 twice now because I find there is a lot to consume. The powerpoints were awesome study tools. Highlighters & sticky notes became my RES BFFL

The midterm was particularly difficult. It was open-book, but many of the answers couldn't be found anywhere in the assigned reading or the power points.

Nancy always gives great feedback, is informative regarding next steps to pursue your career and it available when needed to answer questions. I have had her in the past and always look forward to attending her class.

Group discussions every week, suggest writing early to not be repetitive of others posts. Quizes are hard but extra credit makes up for it.

You are required to post discussions and responses to other student's posts based on questions about the weekly chapter assignments. The only complaint that I had is that the professor didn't offer insight or corrections on any of the discussion, so you never knew if you had a valid point or were way off.
