Take her. She is very easy grader. All you have to do read articles, give tests for the articles, do quizzes on the D2l, and speed reading in her class. You have to sign up for speed reading program and she will explain in the class. Just do your best, you will get good grade. e

Best reading teacher ever! She keeps the class interesting so I never felt bored. Has a lot of group assignments which aren't hard at all. Basically just do your homework and you'll pass her class with at least a B.

Professor Bertoglio is one of the best professors from the English Dept. at ARC. I really enjoy to be in her class, and it is a privilege for me to be one of her students. Wonderful Professor, very helpful whenever you need anything. There's lots of quizzes,but its usually less than five questions. Every assignment or tests graded results within two hours. Everything is explained clearly if you attend. Would recommend this Professor.

Professor Bertoglio is one of the best persons who really wants you to learn and she would always be ready to help you. There are quizzes, final exam, and many other reading assignments in her class. The plus point is she will grade your assignments within 2 hours. She barely use the textbooks. Definitely, I'll recommend her.

Great teacher, she makes sure that you understand the lecture, very accessible out of class. Fare grading you just need to do the work and do it good.

Class discussion was unorthodox and amusing. I have had the opportunity to resubmit some assignments after requesting notes for improvement, she gave me the better grade. She appears to be available at all hours, I have contacted her around midnight and four am and she responded within a half an hour. This was a six-week hybrid course.

She is an amazing professor. I took a 8 week class and I really enjoyed it. Homework was not overwhelming and evenly paced. She understands her students have other classes and responds to emails as soon as she gets them. I would take her for future english classes.

Great professor! Gives a little bit of homework. She explain step by step if you do not understand. Very caring! Took her for about 2 or 3 semesters. One of my favorite professors! Makes you laugh in class! She makes English and writing so much easier. Make sure you do all the homework and she will give you full credit instead of half credit.

Good professor, but be ready to write about a lot of political topics. Gives great feedback and overall an easy grader. About 1 discussion board a week, 2 activities on access code source, and 3 essays total. Only opened my book once but you do use the access code weekly.

I took her over the Summer, she was a pretty easy teacher. All her quizzes and discussions were super easy, you will prolly get full credit for all of them. You have unlimited attempts for the quizzes, so easy. She had 3 essay that were 4-5 pages. The topics she gave kinda sucked, and she was super critical about thesis and topic sentences.

This professor is phenomenal. You will not regret taking her class. She was so caring and was always willing to help if you sent her your work. The workload was not too bad and she always made sure to grade things in a timely fashion. 10/10 recommend!

Professor Bertogilo is a wonderful instructor who is always available to help any way she can. She cares about her students, and she over-communicates expectations to ensure you have a good understanding of what is expected of you to complete your assignments and received a good grade. You will work for your grade. This is called education.

she is one of the best professors that I have during my courses in American river college. she is so caring, kind, polite if I had the chance to get this class I would choose her. I took her for ENGWR 300 so can't say much about 305 but as a person, Professor Bertoglio was very understanding and patient. She would check my work and give it back giving me another chance o fix my mistakes before she graded them. She wanted to make sure every student passed her class while clearly understanding the material provided.

I was in her EngWR300 class over the summer and she is a great teacher. It was all online so I can't say I remember much of what I learned, but I do remember her being thorough and knowledgeable. I would definitely take another class she is the professor of.

Shes a good teacher, I took the 8-week class and it wasn't to much work. We had a rough draft one week and the next week the final essay. So In total, there was 4 essays and the essays were only a couple of pages double-spaced.

Professor Bertoglio was excellent; she is always friendly and willing to help; she reads your papers and gets them graded fast, and she gives you comments that help you get the opportunity to do your assignment again.

Very easy class; you can tell she cares about making you a better writer and gives very excellent feedback, so pay attention and do exactly what she asks, and you will pass with no problem.

This class assigns a fair amount of work, but it is pretty easy once you learn how to do it. She grades instantly and provides real feedback, and answers questions you might leave in the comments box on your assignments after she comments on them. She is easygoing and willing to give you more time if you need in order to get things in by due date.

Lots of busy work but not hard at all. Average 4 assignments a week but all are relatively easy to complete. Once you learn how to do them it gets easier as well. Definitely recommend taking this professor. Feedback given on every assignment. No final.

Professor Bertoglio helped me build critical reading skills that I could implement in my other classes. Her grading style was extremely fair and I felt that her assignments were genuinely useful for learning. I'm very satisfied with how she structured this class. Definitely recommend!

English Critical Reading and Critical Thinking Comprehension course workload homework assignments were engaging with resourceful module study guide materials and logical cohesive, concise instructions, especially there was fast communication responses and excellent grading structure feedback insights. I highly recommend Professor Bertoglio courses!

I truly enjoyed reading all McGraw-Hill Connect homework assignments and other Canvas modules improving every students fluency; comprehension;vocabulary;and grammar. Although,I highly recommend Professor Bertoglio possibly extending any difficult past overdue late homework assignments and authorize full credit points for struggling students please.

I truly benefitted from completing all of the Canvas and McGraw-Hill Connect homework assignments, although the rough start in the beginning strongly discouraged my work mode spirit and almost destroyed meaningful value through submitting missed workload assignments. Moving forward was quite challenging and despondent, which required stronger guts.

I particularly struggled catching up with partially finished homework assignments and barely got any credit points for work done after the due date deadline, which I emailed the professor and sadly I never resolved my own problems. I felt frustrated and overwhelmed even until nowadays, whereas raising my overall grade interferes learning processes.

At first, I honestly thought the critical reading and thinking course would be quite gratifying, unfortunately I was greatly mistaken, for new students the syllabus grading policy said McGraw-Hill Connect will not receive any credit past the due date deadline and other assignments are 50% credited past Sundays. Sadly, English is not my specialty.

Lots of homework at first, but it was very easy. Discussion posts are due Wednesday, two replies by Sunday. Full credit on McGraw-Hill assignments no matter what you scored. Quizzes are relatively easy. Answers emails pretty quick. Would definitely recommend if you want an easy English class.

This class was heaven sent compared to my other classes. At first there was quite a work load but once it lightened up I was so happy. Discussion boards every wednesday and at least 2 assignments that take 10 minutes tops. Very accessible outside of class.

Amazing professor. You can get an easy A if you just do the assignments and stay up to date on when assignments are due. No extra credit from what I remember. Very accessible from email as well.
