DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER! She has the biggest monotoned voice on the planet. She is a nice lady but she seriously cannot teach, she always confuses herself and backtracks. She also grades way too hard and her tests are also very challenging as well.
DO NOT TAKE FROM HER! She is NOT a good math teacher at all. She can only teach w/ notes from another math teacher. It seems like if u took her notes away she wouldnt be able to teach the class. She is always messing up & the students are correcting her!
Teaches from someone else's notes. She doesnt even know what she is talking about. Her tests are not easy.

OMG!! Dont and i repeat do not take this woman's class. If you are expecting to learn i strongly suggest about finding a different class. this is is mad confusing, and so clumsy. she always backtracks and using other teachers notes. Avoid this lady!!!!!!!
This was suppose to be an easy course, but turned out to be extremely difficult. She doesn't explain the subject matter clearly and moves at a quick pace. I wouldn't recommend taking this class with her unless you're really good at Algebra.
This is a horrible teacher who confuses even the smartest students. She makes more mistakes in teaching one class than any other teacher I have ever had! Stay far away from this women's classes.
this is a really easy course, I got an A in this class and Im not good at math, easy points for doing homework, easy tests and quizzes

Horrible Teacher!She confused me so much,that I had to get up and leave class. This is the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. With a name like Nancy Domm(dumb)do I have to say anymore.
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. By the 2 week, 15 people dropped the class. In one class period, she made 4 mistakes, it took a student to recognize them before she did. Then she couldnt even figure out the answer and had to ask that student! Never ever take her!!!!
She can hardly count...mistakes are her forte...dont do it!

ALl I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT SHE WILL NEVER EVER GIVE YOU A REVIEW. SHE EXPECTS YOU TO KNOW THE MATERIAL YOUR SELF AS IF YOU DID NOT COME TO LEARN.
She seems frazzled all the time... She's kind of disorganized and she has some trouble explaining herself to less astute students. I've had to help explain concepts on several occasions. She gives homework (always minimal) about 85-90% of the time and grades it, but throws out about 1/4 of them at the end of the semester. You'll teach yourself.
SHE IS THE WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! SHE HAD TO GIVE ALL OF HER CLASSES A 15 TO 17 POINT CURVE ON ALL OF HER TEST JUST SO WE WOULD MAKE A PASSING GRADE!! SHE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE US AN EXAM REVIEW! I HAVE NEVER FAILED A CLASS UNTILL HERS! PLEASE DON'T TAKE HER!!
She is a horrible teacher. She never understands any question you try to ask her, so you become more confused after her "help" than before you opened your mouth.
She is confusing. She made me look bad in front of the class when I was unsure of the answer. She gives too many quizzes and a stupid assignment to locate the math center. She tries to hold us past the end of class. I feel frustrated. Ms Holmes is the best teacher for math!
This teacher was VERY bad at teaching. she didn't explain the material or the homework. she didn't tell people to shut off their phones or not talk during class. she would let students talk, and do things to distract the other students while she was teaching.

Not a bad person but one of the worst teachers I ever had. Everyone was doing terrible in my class. My sister took her years later after me and had the same experience.
She is tough, very monotone, would advice taking someone who will keep you awake during this class. Good thing is that attendance does not matter what so ever, and the tests are pretty straight foreward, she gives you everything you need to know on the studyguides and you shouldnt have any excuse not to make an A in this class, she is just so borin
i had a 68 in her class she wouldn't give 2 pts even though i didnt miss a class went over all my tests with another math teacher who said some of my answers would have been marked right in their class, she wouldn't even here me when i told her this, very bad teacher and will not give you anything even if you earned it dont take her please
She's ok, a really easy class. She takes attendance everyday and you have to stay for the entire class because she sometimes gives bonus quizes to people who stay. Quite dumb though, she went out of town two days before the final, never told anyone in class, got a sub, and no one showed up.
This is an easy class but I don't know what went wrong. If you take this class you will get everything that she does in class,you'll pass all the quizes and homework. I did that but I felt dumb becuase I couldn't pass was test. I was bored throughout the whole class. If you actually want to learn the material take someone else.

I cant stand her, we have atleast 50 people in my class in the beg of the semester, and now when i do attend class, theres like 18-20 people that show up,half way through the class half of that amount has already left. She's super boring and talks to herself, and doesnt teach too well.
This teacher was terrible. You ask her a question and doesnt answer it and keeps on going with lecture and note taking. She gives a ridiculous amount of quizzes(22 last semester). She also doesnt explain course data clearly.
The class is easy especially if you have had prior knowledge, but she is kinda boring. Plus, at times you will say "HUH" or "WHAT" to yourself!! I only recommend her if you know this stuff already!
She is a sweet lady but her teaching style is boring and hard to pay attention to if you are not interested. She is very by-the-book and usually not too helpful with answering questions. There is homework every class but only a few problems. As long as you have a good grade attendance is not required. She posts homework online so you can keep up.
She does not teach well at all. She is very boring, and talks to herself all the time, and if you ask her a question, she does not answer. Gives lots of"quizzes" (20 this past semester SP09). EXTREMELY DITZY so if you don't know stuff, do not take her!

Take home quiz every class. Skips steps when doing problems, acts annoyed when you ask questions. No curves on grades, all tests are show your work not one mult choice. Mumbles, will drop you in a heartbeat if your grade is below a 70. Cant understand that other people are not math nerds like herself. Is not concerened with people passing her class
THRILLERRR!!! she reminded me all the time of the M.J. thriller video when she would forget her notes or calculator. U basically have to go into class knowing the math, or just figure it out via course compass & hope for the best. She gave a quiz everyday almost. Get to know her & become friends. She is actually a cool lady, just a little eccentric
Easy class for me b/c I already knew the material, but all my other classmates thought she was difficult. She gets confused when anyone asks her a question and forces you to stay in the class even when the lesson is over. Take her if ur good in math; don't take her if ur not.
HORRIBLE is what I hve to say. I am GREAT in math and had a hard time. This teacher knows her stuff but does not know how to explain it well. I learned everything outside of class! If you are not good in math DO NOT take this class. She gives quizes everyday! Everyone in my class feels the same way about her. Sweet lady but not a good teacher!!

She is most certainly NOT a "nice woman" or a good teacher. She forgets more formulas than she teaches & never fails to confuse the class. Gives quizzes daily. Doesn't care about students at all --- it's just an easy way to make money for her. Lost my test paper & couldn't care less. I feel for you if you end up with her. She's awful to the MAX.
She's not mean and she means well she's just the worst when it comes to teaching math. It's clear that she knows what she is doing but when it comes to relaying the meesage she fails, miserably! Just overall bad I don't want her to loose her job, but something needs to be done.
I took Ms. Domm for the Spring semester hoping that it would be my last semester before graduating. I didn't graduate. She gives Homework online along with take home quizzes every night. She is not clear. It's almost like she is doing the problems for herself. Worst part is I have to retake the class and she is the only teacher available. :(
Horrible, horrible, horrible. She is ALWAYS late to class, she waddles in with a confused smirk everyday. She takes FOREVER to finish a problem, because she has to re-work it a few times to get it right. DO NOT TAKE HER. You will not want to step foot into her class after your first day with her.
Awful!! Quizzes all the time! Makes no sense and easily gets confused. At least once per class someone has to correct her as she makes stupid mistakes in her lectures. And she is always late!! I seriously would not reccomend taking this professor.Takes over a week to get test grades back even though they are mostly scan tron tests!!!!
Her class is easy if you understand what she says. Just study,ask for help if you NEED it! Too many people just never take the time to help themselves with what they don't understand. This class was just a review for me. Easy.
This instructor deserves much higher ratings than she has. She is easily the most helpful instructor I have ever had; she answered questions for 10-15 minutes at the beginning of every class and scheduled study sessions outside of class, on her own time. People who are giving such low ratings must have unrealistic expectations for a college class.

professor domm is such a sweetheart! i had a rough semester and she did everything she could to help me and make everything easy for me. shes always offering extra help & make-up tests. love her, i'd take her every semester if i could. not a good class for people who arent already good at math, though... you basically can teach yourself online
please,I repeat,please don't do this to yourself! I'm very good in math&have never failed math until her class.This woman doesnt know her stuff, never use multiple choice, always gets her answers from students, and thats only because she dont know the answer.but,she is sweet, but if your'e trying to graduate like I am, this will be a set back.
Sweet, nice lady but TERRIBLE teacher. My teacher was TBA when I signed up so unfortuntely I didnt get to read these first. I barely passed and the prior 2 math classes I got A's. She doesnt explain things well, assumes you know. I learned more in the learning commons than in class. She is a sweet lady but DOES NOT have what it takes to teach math.
If you are mature and actually pay attention to the class, and worry about the work being taught, and less about what the teacher says, you will do good in this class. She is a very nice lady, and is willing to work with anybody, you just have to let her know what's up. She does spend extra time on some problems, but that's not a bad thing.

Thank God for course compass. I'd of never passed if not for it. Because Nancy is Terrible at teaching Math, routine is always the same, skipping steps all the time, gets the "correct" answer from a student after botching the problem horribly, waits until people start leaving to give a nice quiz. Real choice Nancy! If U pass, you taught yourself.
Attendance isn't mandatory but she likes to give quizzes after everyone leaves. Quizzes are the only hard part about the class because they're often one or two problems...so they're easy to fail. It's not a terribly tough class but she does mess up problems some times. She's nice and will help as best as she can
This teacher has no idea how to teach. She is nice but makes it so boring that it's nearly impossible to pay attention. She gives quizzes everyday and they are only worth 5%! I should have checked this website before taking her class. Big mistake.
Mostly uses Mathlab throughout the course. You can either print out notes from online or take them in class. She goes over everything in class and answers any question you may need help on. Only had 4 test and the final and there were a few in class quizzes.

Do not do what we did over the summer.she is terrible. Takes forever To grade test and makes frequent mistakes. The last week of class we found out our grade for test 2. I was a student who went to the dean and paid out the pocket for this class. Shes horrible!
Anyone who uses another teachers notes to teach from, has no business teaching a college class,IMO.The lady also has a major problem with grades. Doesn't know the meaning of timely, both in coming to class and returning graded work; TESTS! Ms Domm also went out of her way to ensure it was impossible to get an A in her class, gleefully giving an 89
Domm, is an okay professor she teaches like its college algebra but its intermediate algebra. She has great clarity when it comes to explaining how to do problems that are difficult. I would not reccommend her to anyone who is struggling with math.
Worst professor ever; no teaching, no feedback, no grades and she does not even use blackboard. she is incompitant and cant even do her own math correctly. unless you feel like repeating this class pick another professor.
Well i'm a very clever and math oriented person. I've consistently gotten A's in every other TCC class. I found her to be confusing. She consistently gets her own problems wrong. She was unenthusiastic and rather bland and monotone. Kids seemed to drop that class like it was hot! Get a different professor guys :(
She does not have a out going personality but she warmed up as time passed. Math period is hard but practice, practice and practice. She does not give much extra credit but she will drop some quiz grades. My math lab will be your best friend.
She's a great teacher. If you don't understand something ask questions and she will help you get it.

Nancy Domm is one of the most vile human beings I have met throughout my entire college career. She is THE WORST teacher on campus, gets answers wrong to her own problems every other minute. Rude, speaks to college students like they are in kindergarten. I would suggest no one taking her, ever, in hopes she will finally leave TCC.

Great teacher if you are good at math but if you struggle then do yourself a favor and find someone else. A lot of self teaching. And when you ask a question you will more like get a response or than what you need.
She does not teach in this class. She has online notes that she redoes on the smartboard and gets half of them wrong while doing them. She takes attendance EVERY day so do not miss if you want to keep financial aid. I would highly recommend not taking her!

Absolutely the worst professor has no idea how to explain the work to students! Even when everyone is giving her blank or confused expressions she just continues to go over the problems without explaining the steps. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASSES!!
Terrible teacher, I've excelled in math but took algebra many years back and though this class would be an easy refresher. It wasn't. She doesn't know how to solve her own problems and doesn't explain anything. You're better off not going to class and trying to learn the material on your own.
She did not teach the lessons at all. She was not clear on instructions and her teaching overall was very poor. I would not ever have her again

Ms. Domm is very nice she is highly unorganized, the notes that are available online some of the answers are wrong and she refuses to go through and give you the correct answers you just have to come to class for her to catch it then she will point it out. She makes a lot of mistakes while teaching which is frustrating.

Forgets what she is talking about halway through a lesson and a lot of the notes online are wrong. Dont take. I was there for 2 classes before I decided to drop this class and switch professors. Glad I did.
This professor's lectures are impossible to follow because she makes mistakes so often and when she does notice and correct them she doesn't explain why it was wrong. I did not hate her originally because she seemed nice, but then I had to cancel Thanksgiving plans because she overbooked her office hours and so I couldn't make up a test.
Has all homework due dates the day before tests so if you tend to procrastinate this is gonna suck. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. To top it all of she is the only professor that fails to curve the final so while all of your friends who did the same on the final as you did pass with flying colors, you will have to retake the class.
Great teacher, she is very understanding, she gives a ton of quizzes to make sure you understand the material. I suggest taking her if you are not good in math.
She might not be the greatest teacher, but she is very sweet and understanding. I learned most of the material myself and passed with an A. The material is very easy to learn through the HW. MAKE SURE YOU DO THE HW. But she is still very helpful, and she will answer any questions you have.
One of the worst teachers ever. very nice but makes A LOT of mistakes in class. If you can take another teacher, do it. Express sessions are a lot of work with her. Makes simple explanations/ steps so much harder than they need to be, so don't be surprised if you end up teaching yourself the material.
The course was terribly boring, but fine. If you miss notes, which is taken everyday, you will become very confused. If you took Algebra 2 in high school, the information will look very similar. Professor Domm is very accommodating when notes take longer than expected or more review is needed and will change homework and test due dates as needed.

She looks to see when people leave class or there is a lot of people absent then decides to give pop quizzes. Will not tell you when test are. Takes about 2 months to grade test (not a joke). Does not communicate through canvas only tcc email. does not teach good, especially for online just uses other peoples videos. unclear when things are due
By far worst prof. I've ever had. I was taking College Algebra just as a pre req- its an easyish subject for me but I had an F in the class as she DIDN'T teach. Didn't do review for tests, all she did was go over homework, and when she finished that she moved onto the next assignment even if we weren't assigned it yet. Used past teachers' resources
Professor Domm is the most difficult teacher I've had. You teach yourself, and she is rude overall when you ask questions because of her poor handwriting and proceeding too quickly in class. She expects everyone to know the topics, doesn't teach them, then gives you assignments. I taught myself from online videos attached to the homework. DONT TAKE
Not the best professor. Quite a few pop quizzes with very limited amounts of time. Overall poor execution of lectures, the way she teaches is a bit confusing and most likely you will just have to teach yourself through the many homework assignments. I wouldnt recommend taking a course with this teacher but if you must its not impossible.
This professor is probably one of the worst teachers I have ever had. I haven't learned one thing in class, must teach myself everything. She takes a very long time to grade anything, and will hand you a pop quiz with 5 mins left in class. I would rather take this online just so I don't have to sit through these awful, non educating lectures. SMH.
One of the worst professors I have had. There is a mountain of homework to do and we are never taught how to do it. Rushes through lectures. Gives a lot of tests that are crazy hard. Never tells you when you have a test or when things are due. Took 3 weeks to get a syllabus. Rushed the final, never gave a review. the list goes on and on and on...
Has no idea what she is doing and barely looks back at the class during her unnecessary lectures. She is also one of the only professors that I have ever had that actually gets about half her examples wrong!

all her teaching is is putting a SINGULAR problem on the board for each thing were learning, solving it to herself, not explaining anything to the class, and ends up messing up the problem anyway. so quickly paced that your notes are half finished problems that you have to figure out yourself how they end. be prepared to teach yourself this class.
Definitely one of the more difficult classes i've taken. The study guides are very similar to the tests, and thats a very easy way to score highly on her tests. Lots of homework. It looks like all the people who gave her bad ratings also got bad grades. She is a little hard to follow at times during lecture i will admit.
She is sweet but isn't the best teacher. I used Khan Academy basically the whole semester. Her teaching just did not click with me.
She is very willing to help students understand and offers plenty of outside help along with test corrections and extra credit. Sometimes she can be a little confusing but when students don't seem to get it she does explain further. If you previously took 1105 and did okay in it, you'll probably get a fine grade in this course
Gives lots of extra credit and is willing to go over the material again. Tries her best to help accommodate students. The class does have a textbook, but you don't need to purchase it as long as you take notes. If you miss class you'll be fine as long as you check Canvas and lectures, just don't miss too much bc of pop quizzes.Easy to talk to
Professor Domm is a nice lady. Her lectures were not my favorite, but she is good about answering questions nicely and explains things good. She is very clear in her grading criteria for exams and gives good practice exams to help prepare you for the tests. She is understanding and attendance was not graded, and the homework was manageable.
Lessons go by very fast and can't be quite confusing and overwhelming. I've filled out a student issue form and nothing happened. I have a tutor and that's the only way I feel like I will pass.

Making it difficult to know what's going on- or to be confused about.
Professor Nancy's class is challenging, but using resources like Unstuckstudy along with the textbook can really help. She moves quickly, so staying engaged is key. Tough grader, but the study guides are a good way to prep for her tests.

I had already taken college algebra in HS so I knew the topics she was teaching, but the way she taught them made me feel like I had no clue what I was learning. Almost half the class stopped showing up bc it almost made no difference in going or not, since they were getting help elsewhere.
give a lot of homework due dates were extended no late points taken off.assignments you can easily use ai on to get the answers.allowed phones out during tests to "use" demos but I just was just looking up the answers instead If you actually care about learning the material don't take her but if you just need to pass this class definitely take her.
Would not recommend taking her online, she's not tech savvy at all. She doesn't know how to really explain the material online.
Horrible teacher. Had to buy two class codes which made me two aleks accounts unknowingly. did all my assignments then they said not done. so i did them again. said late so asked teacher. she said call aleks. aleks said only she could change the grade. she didn't. horrible teacher.
She's OK she could be better
She wasn't the best but she made it clear what she expects and when, I just got lazy because her class is painfully boring. Do Not Procrastinate she gives a ton of work, never stops; fortunately its fairly easy work.
This class is not hard, but it's not easy either. There is a lot of homework, and it's very easy to fall behind in this class. As long as you manage your time and actually understand the homework, then you will pass the class. As for the professor, she is very nice and understanding. She's always making sure that we understand the topic.
