be prepared to do alot of work. moves along fast, need to pay attention and attend every class. hang in there gets a little easier as the class goes along. she says the tests cover everthing she goes over, but the test aren't that bad

Class moves along pretty quickly after the first week or so, but she hands out lots of study sheets, and gives a practice test before, then a key after, each test so you can figure out what's going wrong. VERY nice and willing to help even the dumbest kid

Ms. Eschen is a wonderful instructor. Do not go into this class and not expect to work. She will help you in any way possible but you have to do the work. Very sweet!

She is an awesome teacher. I ended up with a B in her class. Like another poster had said before, she makes you work, but it helps a lot. The test to me were very easy.

Excellent Professor. She is very clear on explaining things, but like other people have said you have to work for your grade. She is very helpful, if you do not understand it, she will go out of her way to excplain it.

I am a math idiot, and I got an A. I have taken her twice hybrid and was pleased both times. It is a lot of work but she is willing to bend over backwards for her students.

I took Eschen for Algebra, Trig, and Precalc. All other teachers should be like her.

I'm very math illiterate. I took Eschen for College Algebra, got a B and PreCalc and got an A. She is a wonderful, caring lady & an excellent teacher. She's very soft spoken so try to sit up front! :)

Sweetest. Lady. Ever. And a great teacher to boot.

She is a good teacher but she rushes through subjects really fast. You might have two minuets left in class and she feels that is time enough to cover another section. If you are a speed writer and don't mind having to learn on your own this is the class for you. Good Luck!

Great teacher, I reccommend her for Calculus. SHE KNOWS HER STUFF, and willing to help. She gives you a review sheet and test questions are very similar! Prof. Eschen has left me with a great understanding of Cal 1. Do the work and get an A AND take with you a great understanding of the material.

She is a wonderful Professor with a great ability to push her students to achieve success. The only students who struggled were those not willing to do the homework or study. You will be comfortable with the material at the end and prepared for the next level.

easiest class ever. just do some hw before the test and ull be fine. the final was freakin multiple choice!!!! all u had to do was plug in one of the choices for x in ur calculator. hahaha

Mrs. Eshen is a really good teacher. To teach, you need two things: To know how to teach, and know the stuff you are teaching and she has both. I highly recommend her as a teacher she is awesome!!!

Would recommend anyone to take her. Very clear. Does require alot of outside work (i.e. quizzes and online quizzes) but do all the work and you'll get a good grade. Is easy to talk to for help and will take personal time to explain it to you. Started out bad in class and studied and pulled off an A.

A great professor; explains things very clearly and goes over problems step by step.She also gave us most of the in-class quizes home and made the final test multiple choice. I recommend her to everyone.

Professor Eschen was very helpful. I would highly recommend her. The practice tests are helpful, and her tests are very fair. Math is my worst subject and I got an A in her class. If you do the work you can get a good grade.

This class was pretty easy. I thought she explained things well, & she is really nice & patient if you have questions. If you do homework then the tests seem pretty easy. I got an A.

Very Hard Teacher. Gives u hw and quizes on things she does not go over. no study sheets. goes over mulitple lessons a day. The worst teacher i ever had and i have been here for 2 years. Last time ill take her.

I like Eschen. While she was a little floaty, she was approachable and helpful. She made her class notes available and offered pretests to study for each exam. She breaks the class into groups - usually group work is a joke, but she used it effectively. I would not recommend her if you are going beyond calc 1, as she could be more rigorous.

One of my only B's in a math class, and I'm a math tutor. I know the subject well now, and she was just not an easy teacher. Very monotone, but kind-hearted. Will help u if she can. Trig-A,Precal-B,Calc I-A,Calc II-A, Calc III-B, Diff. Eqn.-A

A bit hard to understand at first, but soon you'll catch on to her teaching style. If you're falling behind or need some extra help, she really is the best teacher to go to. But you need to show up to class, because just missing one day can really hurt you.

she was a great teacher! i would recommend her to everyone! esp if you do mathlab with her.. she always keeps her homework open so you can make a 100 no matter what!you get atleast 3 attempts on quizes! very helpful and will help you anytime you need it! if you forgot to do a quiz or somesort of somthing due she will give you more time! i loved her

Take this class. Mrs. Eschen is very caring. She is willing to help you outside of class. But be prepared to work! The class is not easy. There are lots of resources such as MyMathLab, videos, and notes online.

she was a very good teacher.. her test were really hard but we used mathlab so that was good. we had all semester to finish mathlab i failed all the test and still passed the class =]

She is a great teacher. She explains everything until you can understand it in full. She also gives you extra time on homework. She will have study groups outside of class to go over material that is covered in the chapters she goes over. She let you make extra points on tests that you did poorly on. She is a very helpful teacher. The BEST!

Excellent teacher! As someone who has hated math for my whole life, I wasn't looking forward to this class at all, but she is so energetic and willing to help that it was actually a fun class. You have to work hard, but she explains things so thoroughly that if you don't pass it's because you didn't try. Highly recommended!

Definitely helpful, and takes a lot of interest in students. Sometimes speaks a little over students' head, but you have to get through that by asking more questions if you don't understand. The workload is huge, although it is a 5 credit-hour class.

Prof Eschen, Is not a bad teacher, I guess in person if taking her class in the classroom. I recommend you do not sign up for a Math class online if you are not good at Math. You will be just wasting your money for this classes. Just save your money and enroll for the classroom portion.

This teacher is wonderful! she is very helpful. she will stay after class and help you if you don't understand anything. her work is easy if you pay attention. she always give practice test, which you should defiantly look over b/c the questions will be the same except different numbers. Take her she is wonderful.

Ms Eschen was a good teacher.. I enjoyed her class, though being a Hybrid I didn't do so well. She only had a little time to go over a lot so I got lost quick... don't take a hybrid unless you can teach yourself. Lots and Lots of homework and notes (she graded them) and she allowed us to retake tests.. .I would retake her but not as a hybrid

Prof. Eschen has to be the best math teacher ever! She will go out of her way to make sure you understand the material and what you are doing in class. The class I took was a fast-track class but she made it really easy to follow. If you want an awesome math teach take her, you won't regret it. I'm taking her for all my math classes!!!!!

I'm not sure I got the course right, I took it last semester. It was intermediate algebra. Anyhow, I would recommend her to everyone! This is a hard class but she gave us every opportunity to succeed. She was a bit textbook in her explanaitons but otherwise outstanding in her teaching methods!!! Really, I hate math but she's great!

Teacher is very helpful and knowledgeable upon the subject. If you have no problem with a self taught class, this one is for you!!

I took her for Trig. I personally thought she was a wonderful teacher. She gives you many of opportunities to improve your grade, by either test retakes or homework extensions. She returns emails quickly, and is a very nice lady. Take her, and you will not be disappointed! I got a B. =)

AWESOME teacher..I took college algebra over the summer , just a 8 week course.. Her information was clear and she really made the class interesting. Just come to class and do the homework and its a definite good grade. i could've had a A but I slipped up a couple times.

Awesome math teacher.. She trys different ways to get students to understand algebra. I recommend her. Come to class make time for homework, not alot but needs time, especially for someone like myself who took her class in 8 weeks.

Online- Professor is available to help when requested. This course conveys a lot of work that takes a lot of hours to complete every week. Weekly- a discussion board, 4-5 homeworks, 1-4 Quizzes depending on the lenght of the current chapter. There are 9 chapters.Hint: Look for the course in BB and start working before the class begins.

Took her online course. She's so helpful if you have any problems, and she always responds to emails quickly. She gives opportunities to go back to missed or poorly performed work. My Math Lab has great tools to learn the content.

Professor Eschen was very helpful throughout the course. She engages her students one on one and weekly let students know when she would be available for working with them outside of class. 1033 requires a ton of homework so expect it. Take her if you want to learn the material. You'll be better off when you move on to 1105.

she is very nice and VERY VERY helpful. I took her in class and her teaching technique is awesome. This was my 1st college class ever and I'm 28. She was willing to work together after class. I took 8 week course and was about to drop and she reassured me to keep working and that what I did. lots of work but shes to helpful! recommend!

Prof Eschen was very attentive and available for questions, even on the weekends. If you’re looking for mathXL style class, mymathlab will be very familiar to you, though this course is unnecessarily tedious and time consuming.

Prof Eschen was very responsive to issues in MathLab. Like any online math course it is largely self driven. I never once looked at book. Assignments are due weekly unlike last math class. Must hustle to keep up pace. You must click every link in MathLab to get credit for assignments.

She is a very nice lady but don't take her if you plan to have life outside of math. She gives a ton of online homework. You can plan on doing math homework Friday and Saturday and Sunday nights if you take this class.

She's really nice but I feel like she's teaching kindergarteners. She repeats herself constantly and she takes forever to get to her point. Bottom line: She's nice, easy class, easy A, she doesn't go with her planned schedule, I just won't ever have her again.

Extremely nice professor. She is fair and stays after class to assist anyone who asks for it. Although she can at times "be human" and forget a thing or two, she is an excellent teacher. Wish she taught MAC2233, I would highly recommend her to anyone! Expect homeowrk, quizzes, and tests. If you work, you will get your "A"!

Prof Eschen is extremely thorough and patient with everyone. She goes out of her way to provide help. Math is not a subject i excel in but she thoroughly goes through everything in the notes. I hated mymathlab at first, but i really like it now after taking the class. It is a bit tedious but it gives you feedback right away. Highly recommend it!

Ms. Eschen is an competent Professor. She was very flexible and willing to work with you. The only problem was keeping up with her homework assignments. There were too many algebra problems to solve, which does not allow you the time to study for the test.The homework assignments were excessive to complete within her time frames. Not recommended.

I passed the class but make sure you attend class everyday and take good notes. Do all homework assignments and quizzes. She will extend due dates but just make sure you don't get behind.

She is a great teacher, especially if you struggle in math. She breaks it down to a first grade level if needed. She will make a mistake every once in a while, but who doesn't. Very nice and will work with you to the fullest of her ability. HW load isn't to bad and practice tests are crucial to taking the test. Take her class!

Prof. Eschen is an amazing professor. She assigns alot of work, but it is for your benefit to ensure you master the skills necessary to move on to the next level. She will go above and beyond to help, all you have to do is ask. She set up group study sessions outside of class on her time for additional review before major tests. GREAT PROFESSOR

As someone who hates math, I really enjoyed Eschen's class. She makes the material easy to understand and really wants everyone to learn. DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK!! She only uses mymathlab, which has an online version of the textbook and it is much cheaper. She makes you work for your grade, so if you want an easy professor I wouldn't recommend.

She's a wonderful teacher but I must say I fell asleep twice because the class consisted of lectures that were 3 hours long! She tends to talk to the students as if we're in elementary school which is weird and kind of demeaning. But her class was very easy and she did everything she could to help us understand!

I took Professor Eschen online for Pre-Calc. Be prepared for TONS of hw. I got an A in the class; however, the amount of time I had to put in to get an A was excessive. Although I got an A in her class, I wouldn't take her again because it took around 14 hrs each wk to do all the assignments.

Pretty standard online math class, but the Professor was nice. She answered emails promptly and gives you the opportunity to improve you grade throughout the class. If you fail her class, it's really a lack of effort on your part. She does everything she can to help you succeed. I enjoyed the class and felt like she was there if I needed her.

she was a great teacher who explained topics in class thoroughly. If you need help with a certain topic she discussed dont be afraid to ask. Her class is an easy A if you stay on top of the homework and online quizzes.

She wants you to pass. Answers emails within minutes, and calls you if you get stuck on math problems. Being that I'm not great with math, and this was an online class, I thought I'd have trouble with no tutor around, but she was there for any questions. Plenty of extra credit to make up for low scores. I would definitely take again. I got an A.

Great professor that really works with students to help them pass. She is very clear with what she expects from students and goes above and beyond to help them if they are actually trying. Even if you are not doing well but are putting in a big effort she will help you. Would definitely take her again.

Everything was completed through mymathlab and I used the online testing proctor vs going to the college to take the proctored exams. There is alot of work as expected in a math class so don't get behind. I would take her again if I needed additional math classes.

I love professor Eschen. She is so sweet and caring. The class has a lot of homework (online) but it is all to help you. 3 tests in total and a few in class and online quizzes. COME TO CLASS. Her lectures are very helpful and if you need help she will be there for you!

She did ah-mazing! She made it fun and the way she teaches makes it memorable. The class itself jumps around a lot because you are just learning the tip of the iceberg on multiple parts of calculus. She extends deadlines if you have a good reason for it, and drops the lowest grade at the end of the semester. I will take her for every math possible!

I am horrible in math I literally took 8 classes and have not passed til now with a B/ Due to my work schedule I did this course online. She was very helpful give extra credit at the end lets you make up quizzes and homework Take her wont regret it

Prof. Eschen is super charismatic and incredibly smart. She is hardcore and takes her teaching to the next level by incorporating the textbook, online, group discussion, etc. She really makes sure that you understand precalc so you are prepared for calculus. I highly recommend her. LOTS of homework (It's hard when you work) but she does it to help.

Great professor. Always makes sure you have what you need to succeed when it comes to proper format and technique when solving the problem. Definitely goes back to the basics to be sure the class fully understands. She's really great and always willing to help you.

This is a difficult class, she does give extra credit, no retakes on test, and a project at the end, I am pretty good at math but this class was a challenge.

I'm not sure why I thought taking this class online was a good idea, because it was a terrible idea. It's very difficult material and very hard to learn on your own. (unless you are a math whiz). However, she responds immediately to questions via email and seems very caring. There is a project to do and I'm hoping it will keep me at at least a B!

Professor Eschen was my first college professor and due to the coronavirus, everything was online. She is a Gem. Not only did I take her class once but I took her again immediately after finishing the first course. If you are not self-efficient this is not the Professor for you. She expects a lot from her students as any college professor should.

She is the teacher to take if you're looking for someone who's going to care your learning. She makes herself available out of class and is willing to work with you. There are opportunities for re-dos and corrections for nearly everything. We had three exams total including the final. Take advantage of the time she sets aside out of class for you!

The class was fairly easy. The mathlab software made it easy to learn the material and pass the exams. Professor Eschen checks in frequently to see if you need any help and offered several extra credit opportunities. If you're bad at math this is definitely the course for you

She was good! This course felt like a refresher course from everything we learned in high school. She had multiple tests which for me was a little challenging due to me not being a great test taker but they were relatively easy.

This is a pretty hard class, there are 3 exams and on your last exam if you get a higher grade then your first to exams, she will replace one of the lower ones if you did well on final exam. The class heavy on the homework and quizzes every week. My advice is studying every day and don't miss a class. Other than that, she is a very nice professor.

This class was very project heavy, nearly 1 to 2 mini-projects weekly, with smaller lesson plan assignments in-between. The classwork was not hard at all, it just took a while. Lectures often started with more than one handout, and she repeated subjects a few times. Other than this, she is willing to extend due dates and is very understanding.

She is very nice! Gives multiple bonus opportunities and also at end of semester lowest 2 study plans will be dropped as well as lowest 2 quizzes will be dropped. Class was fully online no meeting time but work was due every week and projects/ discussions weigh heavy. I did the 7 week class ended with an A.. Great professor just follow instructions

Overall, the class was pretty easy as long as you do your discussions, projects (2 power points) and quizzes. The projects may seem time consuming but once you do them you find out they are easy and take an hour or two. Plenty of easy extra credit opportunities.

Class participation is crucial for Prof. Eschen. She encourages questions and reviews material thoroughly if asked. Though you may need to correct her at times, she is kind and understanding. The homework is heavy but essential. Exams are 70% of the grade, with reviews beforehand. Once you get to know her, you'll appreciate her teaching style.
