Very fair in grading and offers extra credit. Always very positive and very understanding to personal situations. If you pay attention to lecture and take notes you will no have problem with receiving an "A" in her class. She is super-d-duper

I found this class to be exciting and fun. Nancy is supportive of whatever you feel is inportant. She always has good to say to you and caringly points out where you need help.

She makes it easier to speak in front of people. She also saves you money on textbooks!

Awesome teacher, expressive and encourages it in others. too many people end up crying infront of the class for some weird reason... The speeches are easy to do, and shy people are easily welcomed. Time limit is too harsh in overall speech grade

Nancy is an enthusiastic teacher. You can tell she loves her job. She makes the subject as interesting as she can. There are no surprises on her tests. There are a lot of writing assignments but they are graded fairly.

Nancy is great! Her personality encourages you to have fun and learn a lot.

Easy class, she is a great teacher with a very positive attitude. Don't need a textbook. Oppertunities for extra credit. The only bad things were she was always late and the group project.

Great teacher. Very helpful and makes the class interesting. Comfortable class, just be respectful and she'll respect you. Intercultural Comm 124 was probably my favorite class at Cuyamaca (mostly because she taught it). Participation is important. Definetly recommend her!!!!!

I was terrified and completely uninterested in public speaking before this class. Nancy makes the class fun and easy to learn from. She gives a lot of help and reviews before every test. Tests are very easy if you read what she tells you to. I actually like speech now.

This was a very easy class.. I got an A.. I liked her notes they were exactly what was on the test. She was decent and I got a good grade so I have no complaints!!

I was terrified to take speech, but she really took the anxiety out of it. Very helpful, very clear expectations. She changed my perspective on "PC." All of the things she teaches you will help you in the "real world"

she was a nice teacher. a little strange and often late to class. However, her lectures were clear and the in class assignments and group projects were interesting and helpful. Communications is often an easy A, and this class is no exception.

Excellent teacher! Advanced Public Speaking was an excellent class, she made it very fun, very easy, and very comfortable. You do approx 7 speeches but you don't need to turn in outlines. Jennings is great, friendly, fun and extremely caring, and doesn't make the class hard. She wants to help you out! Very laid back and nice, too. 5 stars for sure!

What can I say Nancy is cool. she was always respectful and kind. yeah shes late but ill take late over smug anyday. class is easy, but she teaches easy classes, big woop. TAKE THIS TEACHER SHE ROCKS.

Phenomenal teacher! I've never liked public speaking, but Nancy made it fun. She puts you at ease, and will always take time to talk with you and answer any questions you have. Gives you the most points possible on assignments, cares mainly about the effort. 3 speeches (2 w/ outlines) + midterm and final. Very little reading. Highly recommended!!!

She's a wonderful woman! I've gotten to know her a bit on a more personal level, and she really loves what she does- and you can tell from her teaching.

Lovely lady, take this teacher and she might make you switch to a communication major because you will fall in love with the class. A lot of people I know are now comm majors because of her. Very informative and helpful and very easy! Just participate.

The BEST teacher at Cuyamaca College. Her classes are so much fun, I took three of them. She made public speaking fun and easy. I highly recommend her for any class. She should be teacher of the year every year she teaches.

Eh- I agree that she's a little weird, but for intersession it really doesn't matter. Easy A, so if you can use this for transfer instead of public speaking, try it.

Professor is well versed in the public speaking arena. Very nice and flexable. Got off to a strange relationship where I felt I was not getting an A no matter how hard I worked. So respect but maybe it was my subject matter

Jennings is a great speech teacher. She makes the class feel like a family and really understands how hard it is to get up in front of people and speak. She gives lectures frequently and we have to read the book all the time but its not a lot of work. We only had 3 graded speeches...nothing to sweat.

Jennings is a cool teacher. Not too much homework. and only a med term and a final. She is understanding and carefree. At times she may seem a little unorganized but it doesnt interfer with the class. Take her and get a good grade, just do the work.

I took this class during intersession along with a difficult English class, the COMM course was so easy I spent all my time on the other class and still got an A+ in COMM. she is a great teacher, you will get an A on the mid term and final if you just pay attention and take notes. she clearly says what will be on the test and she is very energetic!

outstanding teacher for a communications class. I got an A in her class during the intercession. not much work to do, just a few homework, and the review before the exams are extremely helpful. pretty easy class, but she says its hard.

nancy is one of the best teachers i have ever had, and i'm old and have had many teachers. she is smart, funny, adorable and knows her discipline. she cares about her students and wants them to learn. even tho she makes her political convictions known, she is tolerant and accepting of opposing views, as long as they are not hurtful to anyone.

Nancy is one of the best teachers I've ever had. she always made the material interesting by adding her life stories. The tests were on the material though not the stories. This class made me so interested in Comm, I am glad I got her as a teacher. She does feel strongly about her views but does not force them on anyone.

By far the best teacher EVER! I love her class, its the only one i look forward to attending every week! requires no book and her exercises are easy and to the point. We have 1 group presentation, 2 exams but its all in your notes! she wouldn't teach you anything you won't need. Take her, you won't regret it! ENJOY!

She makes a difficult class fun and entertaining. You have to work hard for an A & do any extra credit she offers. She does express her political views but it doesn't effect how great of a teacher she is!

I had her for a 4 week summer session and I thought she was great! There is no textbook from the class so basically everything is lecture based except for a little book with reading assigments she quizzes the class on. She doesn't grade your opinions on things as some have commented. She is an easy grader. I'd definatley take her again.

Textbook not needed but helps with the exams. Yes she is nice but this is not an easy A. You must complete homework and come prepared for speeches. She does not grade speeches as nicely as she is. Personally am not a fan of her but was a fun interactive class. Not a grade rounder.

If you do the assignments and pay attention when she lectures, there is no way you should not pass this class. Lots of interaction, and group discussions, so if you are deathly afraid of communicating with others than you will hate this class. She is a very lenient grader. Very recommended.

AMAZING! Super sweet little lady. very open-minded. Uses her own life experiences to help explain what shes talking about, which is really helpful. Ask questions if you dont understand, she has no problem explaining again. No book which is nice. All around good teacher!

A great Prof! Currently have her for 120, 137 & 145. Taking her for one more comm class next year. That shows how good she is! Some required reading, maximum 10 pts of extra credit, & no textbook. She's very down to earth. Can only miss class 4 times before it affects grade. She is a pretty lenient grader and is nice, she will stand her ground.

Nancy is an outstanding Professor! She is extremely clear on what her expectations are and provides you with everything you need to get a great grade in her class. I have taken both Com 137 & Com 145 and loved her! The only way you do not get a great grade with her if you you do not follow instructions well! Highly recommend!

Her stories are heartwarming and her care for students apparent from the first day. In my opinion she's a stellar teacher who really became my favorite. Her expectations are clear and exams as straightforward as she prepares you. Go to class because not just to pass tests but to genuinely engage with her and the students.

I took this class in winter break! She is amazing and will teach you great skills for your everyday communication! Very fun, humorous, easy going class! Well respected professor. She is a brave and talented instructor. No book was required. Lectures are very amusing. Test are not difficult! You too will love this class!

Advance public speaking was pretty east and simple. There are 10-15 different speaking assignments which are pretty easy and fun. She does give detail on exactly what is required of the speeches, but again they are pretty simple and the class is pretty easy that if you fail I really don't know what to say.

Prof Jennings is amazing! She truly cares about her students and will go out of her way to help you if you ask. She is easy to understand and has a passion for what she does. Show up, pay attention and you'll be just fine!

I've been at Cuyamaca for about three semester's now and I must say Nancy is one of the best teachers i've had so far. She has an amazing teaching method which is simple yet effective. she's always looking for ways to help her students, she is very professional and very easy to get along with.

TAKE HER CLASS !! i never knew what the term "easy A" meant until i took this teacher! thats how easy it is. show up tho, she takes roll, also she puts you in groups for the rest of the class so if u dont like the people u with then your stuck. nice person. no need for book.

I've taken Nancy for 4 classes. That says it all. One of the best instructors I have ever had in my academic career. She knows her subject well, and is one of the last few professors that cares. Doesn't require a textbook. Creates a great learning environment, and very patient with students nervous of public speaking. One of the most caring people!

She was very clear about her lectures. Funny. The group work was the best apart of the class and the extra credit was fair.

Nancy's public speaking class was more of an experience than a college course. She is darn good at her profession and my classmates made the class so much fun. I am not a nervous person when it comes to public speaking, but if you are Nancy will help you overcome that. Her lectures10/10 and tests are easy, and she ACTUALLY HELPS YOU LEARN SOMETHING

Nancy is the BEST and truly cares about students, passionate about her job. Be prepared to write some essays and deliver them in speech form. Very little to no textbook use, but questions from book will be on exams. No quizzes, no homework except speech writing. Extra credit available. Easy class, easy A if you do the work and don't miss lectures.

shes a great gal! she is fair and respects everybody in her classroom and outside her class. You wont be disappointed- her class is lots of fun and you can get an easy grade if you just show up and do the work-dont need to study very much. her debates were the memorizing! good experiences! too bad trump won Nancy! we thought otherwise.......

Communications 122 She is a great teacher!!!! I would take her again. She made communications easy to do. You need to be in class or she uses it against you. The only thing I did not care for was her being open about being liberal. I think political views should be kept to a minimum.

I took this course over the summer. It was a little challenging because it was only 4 weeks with a lot of work! The teacher is great. However, she's a tough grader. We did 3 graded speeches, she always took points away for the very little things. Her lectures would've been so much better if presented electronically rather than a whiteboard.

Had a way of making her class interesting all the time. Only thing is she takes off points for every little thing, but nevertheless class was easy

I took Professor Jennings during the summer and I loved her. There was an abundant amount of information on her lectures but she explained them perfectly. She gives examples of everything. Just study hard, and you'll pass.

Professor Nancy has been one of the best teachers/instructor I have taken. She is so caring for all students, and she makes everything easier for us. She doesn't leave lots of homework, and she is very kind to everyone.

I had her Monday-Thursday for two communication classes and I wish I could have her again, honestly she understands college kids. Just study study study for the midterm and final and you will do great. Really Fun Class

She's the college's Beyonce. Timeless and genuinely compassionate. Her study guides are helpful. Shes an enthusiastic teacher and gives alot of extra credit. Really, she's a Queen B. Trust me.

Easy A if you try. Shes very caring and makes her class interesting. Those that are saying shes not good, Im sure you missed more that one class. Try not to be absent a lot and its an easy pass.

I highly recommend taking this professor. She's very caring and sweet plus accommodating. She truly cares for her students to succeed. 1 group debate at the end of the semester. This class does not meet weekly on zoom. There are a few homework assignments. Please take this class you won't regret it.

Great class! We had lectures on one day, group activities/lecture continuation on the other. There were weekly quizzes with 5 or 10 questions, a midterm, final, and group presentation. You're graded based on a point system which relieved a lot of stress. Her lectures were fun and informative so just show up to class and take detailed notes.

Honestly this was my favorite professor by far. She's so compassionate and kind. Be sure to attend lectures and take notes! This class was an easy A+ even with extra credit given with participation! There are quizzes due every Sunday, but it didn't take me more than 2-3 minutes to complete. No late work allowed but lectures are engaging! Amazing.

Great Professor who assigned a decent amount of homework that taught you while not taking up a majority of your time.

Professor Jennings is a caring instructor who makes the class engaging. While the exams can be challenging, the workload is manageable. Unstuckstudy was super helpful for preparing - it saved me time and boosted my understanding.
