She is more than willing to give students many opportunities to raise their grades in this class. It's hard to get anything lower than a B in this class because she also gives extra credit and attendance is mandatory.
This class was easy. She is a great teacher who loves to talk about her own experiences. Her power points are extremely helpful for exams. The book is not needed.
This class was easier than high school. Reads directly from power points, and it doesn't seem like she actually has any real knowledge of the subject.
Easiest class ive ever had. She tells you what exactly is on each test...and i mean EXACTLY! Memorize all the things she tells u to on the powerpoints and you will get an A. You need the text, but its easy to read. Overall, pretty cool class and professor!
Probably the easiest class ive ever had. She tells you what exactly is on each test...and i mean EXACTLY! Memorize all the things she tells u to on the powerpoints and you will get an A. You need the text, but its easy to read. Overall, pretty cool class and professor!
Great teacher! Easy class and on easy paper to do.pretty chill. Pay attention in class because she tells you what is going to be on the exam.
She is so nice and cares a lot for students. This class is RIDICULOUSLY EASY. The only downside is that the two papers are worth 10 points each and the group project is worth 5 points, while the 2 exams and final add up to 400 points. The group project is a lot of time and effort as is the second paper. They should count more towards grade!!
The nicest professor at CSUF. Truly cares about the well being of her students. She is so nice, and her class is so enjoyable. RECOMMEND HIGHLY.
I love Professor Just. I had her a couple semesters ago for HESC101 and now just had her for 220. She is a sweet lady and explains everything very well. Her assignments are pretty basic, just follow all directions and you'll be fine. We had 3 small projects, a midterm, and final. She takes attendance!
Easy prof. Dont buy book. Show up to class and highlight everything she says is gonna be on the test. Do the worksheets and the projects. everything is super easy and the class is an easy A is you show up to it and take notes. Attendance is mandatory!
easy class if you study. every class is powerpoint. she straight out tells you what to know for the test. just bring your laptop to chill and look out for when she says, "you're gonna want to know that"
Super chill class. Outlines are up online so theres very little use of the book. Nancy reads off a powerpoint with the lights off so bring a pillow if you sit in the back.
Soooo helpful. Really cares about her students!
Best 101 you'll ever take. Super chill easy class. Her exams = every piece of info she starts with "you'll need to know this for exam". She's ridiculously nice and fun to take. There's a food project we do and you literally are provided with snacks for a month in that class. Passed with an A; you could put in little to no effort and still get a B.
Shes really loud but it keeps you awake! Her class is very basic information you already know. Her exams are easy as long as you thoroughly study the study guide provided. Don't buy textbook! Take her if you need this class shes one of the best 220 professors out there. She takes attendance every day so you must show up!
Her tone of voice is somewhat irritating. Test is everything on the study guide. Pretty lenient, but strict on grading (esp APA format).
You don't need the textbook. Every point counts cause there's only 300 and half of it is the final. Always show up to class cause there's in-class assignments and lots of important annoucements
Great professor. Super helpful. Responds to emails super quick. Even late at night. Provides extra help and examples. Very clear on what she is looking for. Power points all available online. She posts grades up quick. Take her! She is super passionate about public health!
She's very passionate about the subject and is very approachable. She replies to emails quickly. Know everything about APA citation.
Always attend class! Only 5 points extra credit. The class is worth 300 only! Know APA!!! DON'T NEED THE TEXTBOOK!
Really nice and helpful teacher. Really informative class. Wish they had this class for other majors. Really helped organize my career goals. NEVER opened my book. Tests: study notes and power points. Visit office hours anytime for help. Learned a lot and actual useful information.
super fun class! had a great time, learned so much, exams are easy if you study, would only study 2 hours and would get a 96 on the exams, she makes it seem like the final is hard but its not just need to really study so just STUDY STUDY
She is great! Her lectures are clear and posted online so you can just study those a couple hours before the test and you'll get a good grade! You write two essays about yourself & get in a group to do a healthy snack project. That means the whole class gets fed for weeks!
By far the BEST professor ever! I learned a lot in this class and happy that I took it with her. She gives you ALL the answers to the 2 midterms except the final. If you do the study guide than you should be more than fine. 2 easy essays and a healthy snack project, which the whole class gets fed everyday.
Such a sweet professor, assignments are easy. Tests are multiple choice except for the final which is a combination of different forms (fill in the blank, short answer) healthy snack project was fun and she made this class enjoyable. Definitely recommend her
This was probably the easiest class I have ever taken in college. I did not buy the book and I'm glad I didn't because I never would have needed it and I got an A in the class. Anything that will be on your test she flat out says "this will be on your test" before telling you. Take this class for the weeks of free snacks, free condoms, and easy A.
she gives study guide for each exam which makes it so much easy to study. I learned a lot form her class I wish I could take more classes w/ her. u gonna hear lots of her life stories which r funny and interesting. her class is v easy I highly recommend
GREAT teacher. HIGHLY recommend taking her. Exams are easy. 2 (3-pg, 2x spaced)papers that are about you. About 3 dozen worksheets that can each be done in like 2 minutes. Spend 1 month eating free snacks every class. One of the BEST classes I have taken at CSUF.
I Love Professor Just. i think she is adorable but besides that she is a great teacher, her class is easy, she gives you points for attendance so show up it really helps your grade, i had fun in this class , learned a lot as well. She is very funny, and tries to make class entertaining. Take her!! you wont regret it :)
hands down easiest A ever. She's rad.
Best professor I have ever taken. I wish I could taker her for all my classes. Best class ever. WOW. Free snacks and condoms!!! Take this class you will never regret it. Its so mind blowing. EASIEST CLASS EVER.
She is one of the best professor! She makes health class very interesting for me. Plus, you get to eat healthy snacks every week! Easy class. Highly recommend :)
LOTS of worksheets that take a good bit of time. You can sign into class and leave, lectures are borderline unbearable, I sat through maybe 1 and managed to get a B+ (could've been an A with a little more effort). Tests are relatively easy. I've heard of better HESC 101 teachers... but it's a pretty easy A
Super easy class! Gives you study guides and basically gives you 100% on both essays as long as you follow guidelines(3 pages long). If you don't get an A in this class then you are an idiot! Don't buy the book either, you'll never use it.
Very nice professor! Interesting Lectures that can help you personally. Very clear with what she expects from our two papers. If you do the study guides the tests are pretty easy! Shares some very interesting stories. Only one group project which is bringing a snack for the whole class. Definitely recommend!!2722
Great professor. Lectures are interesting. Weekly snacks given. Thanksgiving gift of a bag of condoms to the class. 2 Midterms and 1 Final, fairly easy if you study the study guide before the tests. Book isn't needed for the class at all. Attendance is mandatory with a sign in sheet but don't need to be present to do good in the class. RECOMMEND
Professor Just is super nice and her lectures are not too dry. Her class is consist of three packets of worksheets, 2 midterms, 1 final, and a few mini projects(very easy though). She does check attendance. Her exams are easy if you study her powerpoints and her study guide. Though, I don't know how I messed up her final exam, thought it was easy.
It's an easy A class, but don't be fooled: STUDY. She assigns worksheets and papers, which are all easy. There are also 2 midterms that are fairly easy as well. But, what the others aren't telling you is that the final exam is worth HALF your grade. So you really can't mess up on assignments since the final is worth so much.
It seems like an easy class but don't play yourself. She assigns worksheets, small projects, and papers which are easy. She takes attendance so you MUST go to class. No book. Test are easy but you have to study. Midterm was okay. The final was hard and half of our grade. You should take her, just study.
2 exams and a final. 3 Wellness worksheets that takes quite a while for each but so easy to do. This class is a VERY easy introductory class that shouldn't stress you out at all. Prof. Just's study guides are on point of what will be on the test. There's one group project that doesn't even feel like a group project. TAKE HER!!! Better than online.
She takes up the whole class to lecture. To be honest, you don't even have to go to class or get the textbook because all the information is on the powerpoints. She also gives out a bunch of worksheets but all the answers are also on her powerpoints. As for the tests, as long as you study from her study guide you are good to go. Very easy class.
Such a sweet soul who cares about you and your grade!! She keeps the class fun and interesting. Class isn't mandatory, her powerpoint slides are online, and study guide is posted as well! I got B's on all of my exams, A+'s on every assignment, and a B+ on the final. SUPER EASY. TAKE HER.
Prof Just is amazing! There are papers due but she literally tells you what she expects you to inculde in them. Test are easy, everything you need to know are in the PowerPoints. The answers for the homework wksts (3 packets) are in the PPTs. Attendance is NOT mandatory and you can Still pass that class, just review the PPTs. No book is necessary.
Nancy just is an amazing professor!! She includes great stories and personal experiences into her lectures. She has fun and easy projects that are graded very easily. Her exams are tough if you don't study her provided study guides. The most amazing part about her class is that she grades and posts exams scores the same day you take the exam.
You don't have to show up to lectures as she posts all the power points online. Class is an easy A as long as you study, do the worksheets, and the essays. Tests are straight from her study guide, and you can find the answers on her power points. Never bought the book.
Professor Just is great, and this is a fairly easy class. There is a lecture everyday, but she basically just elaborates on the ppts. I didn't go to class often and got an A. Make sure you do the wellness worksheets, super easy essays, and one group presentation where you literally speak 2 sentences outloud per person. STUDY for the exams. Easy!
This woman made me love her class, though it can be a bit too long at times with the powerpoints, her personality and energy made me want to come to class each day. She gives 2 very easy midterms and 1 final. The best part is her snack projects, made me love her class more. Going to miss her!
She is the best professor I have ever had! Her lectures are very interesting. You don't need to show up to class because she posts the powerpoint online. Her tests come straight from the study guide (one or two come from lectures in class). I loved her snack project too!
Love Professor Just! She is sooo funny and makes the lectures really interesting. She relates a lot of the content to her life and makes you want to go to class! The tests are pretty easy as long as you review the notes and study guide. 10/10 would recommend!
She's a nice lady whose really approachable. You don't really have to show up, she mostly reads the ppts and adds very small info. I found her class boring but she tries to be funny and personable. Always gives study guides and is willing to answer questions. Textbook isn't really required, her ppts cover everything on the test.
2 midterms, 1 final. The exams are not cumulative. Attending lectures are not mandatory, but it will help if you attend so you don't have to study as much, and you will understand what topic is important to know for the exams because she really emphasizes it when she lectures. Other than that, she is funny, amazing, and very clear on everything.
There are 2 midterms and 1 final, not cumulative. Class is not mandatory but the lectures are very helpful. There is a group project in which you make a healthy snack for the class, that was fun. She is very funny and cares about her students.
She is a phenomenal teacher and cares about what she lectures on! Classes aren't mandatory but there are powerpoints to look over! Would take her again!
The previous reviews say it all! I would definitely recommend taking her class because it's fairly what you expect out of a GE class. She posts all the lectures online so you don't really have to show up for class. The only downside that you should be aware of is that the final is worth 40% of your grade. That is such a significant amount!
Loved this class. She was always so excited to teach and it was the only class I was actually excited to go to.
honestly best class ive taken so far. She is wassss so good at lecturing and made it very interesting. Highly recommend. I never bought the book and still managed to get decent grades on my tests. best class and teacher overall.
Prof. Just is a very nice lady who is passionate about her job. She makes her lectures interesting and often brings in real life examples including her own . She doesn't take attendance, but it's better to go because her explanations are far better than the book itself. Overall, the homework and projects were not bad, but STUDY hard for the exams.
Take her class! This was the one class I didnt have to stress about. You only have 3 exams. Two midterms and a final. She gives out a study guide for each test which are exactly what youre going to see on each exam.
Amazing professor. Seems like she really cares about her students. 2 papers but are really easy. Have to turn in a packet for every exam, 3 total. Attendance not required but helpful. Book is not needed but for the extra help.
Best Professor I've ever had! Attendance is not mandatory but she is hilarious so it's too easy not to go. There are a couple papers, physical fitness test, 2 midterms and a final. All are a breeze, she gives you the powerpoints and the tests are multiple choice so know terms and you'll pass with flying colors. Definitely recommend!
Professor Just is a caring person and fair grader. Often times, she would share funny stories that relate to the lectures which is the reason why I always showed up to class! She is a very sweet and understanding person. There are 2 midterms and 1 final exam, which are not too difficult if you put in the effort to go over the study guides.
Professor Just is the best teacher I've ever had! She's so sweet and funny. Don't need to attend lectures bc she posts PPTs but go to class to make it less work for yourself. 3 packets to turn in and they reminded me of HS worksheets. One group snack project and you only needed to say like 2 sentences/facts about the snack you chose.
Professor Just does an amazing job at teaching and lecturing. Her classes consist of ppt's that are available on titanium. Her class is very easy. I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone.
Best professor ever. The class is easy A and the lectures are interesting. Her grading is very clear.
She's an amazing professor & extremely passionate about the subject. If you try hard enough you will pass with an A. I enjoyed coming to this class bc she made the lessons pretty interesting. There were about 4 exams total I believe and a couple of projects+1 paper. She's not a hard grader & will give you feedback right away. TAKE HER CLASS!!!
This is an easy class. As long as you know all the answers to her study guides then you can definitely A's on her tests. The homework is super easy but it is just time consuming. Make sure you turn in things on time! She is nice and her lectures are very helpful and interesting! TAKE HER!
The class is easy as long as you go to class. No way youll pass without going. She reads off the slides which after a while, seems boring. She gave a lot of life stories and jokes. 3 worksheet packets (busy work), 1 paper and 1 presentation. Super easy. 3exams. FINAL IS HARD (makes you write out answers)
Professor Just was amazing! Her class was very entertaining and informative. She made the class very fun and it was very interactive. Attendance is not really mandatory, however you should just show up because it's interesting. No quizzes, a simple paper not very long, and 2 midtems + 1 final. Overall, would take her again!
She is the sweetest, most caring professor . She is clearly passionate about teaching and especially public health in general. She is always willing to help students and gives the best lectures- mainly stories that relate to her life- that help you to know her plus make the info much more interesting. Overall, shes amazing and plz take her class!
3 exams, 1 project and a couple of assignments throughout the semester. Work is simple and to the point. Doesn't ask for much. her lectures are always interesting because she uses her personal stories to connect to the coursework.
Professor Just is such a sweet lady. I recommend going to her lectures because they're interesting and she's very funny. She as well tells great stories. No need to take notes because she attaches a power point. Test were easy and there's a fun group project where you bring food for the class. Hw load is easy and 1 or 2 papers.
Funny and has a story to go along with everything. She does have problems fitting everything into the class period and rushes that last 5 minutes and usually goes over. If you know anything about health, the class is pretty easy. 1-2 homeworks a week, 2 midterms and a final (not comprehensive), and an easy paper. Can do without textbook
Professor Just is THE health science professor! Absolutely caring and great lectures, straightforward homework with answers on the slides, and thorough study guide and exam. Most of the exam is really easy, just go over the homework questions and slides and its again, straightforward so long as you got common knowledge. A blast of a class.
Great teacher and her exams are easy to prepare for. She is clear about what will be on the test and what information you need to know. Nothing is a surprise.
Professor Just is a great professor, clear about what is expected from the very start. Easy lectures to understand and exams are just like the study guide. Class is basically homework assignments that are easy and one paper that isn't hard at all. Just do your work and you'll pass. Only downside is you won't know your grade until the end.
Online class was a breeze. Do ur assignments and ur good. Had 1 paper about personalities. Very energetic professor. My whole class had our cam and mics off so when she would make jokes I would feel bad because it would be silent lol. You can find answers to the assignments on the slides, super easy. TAKE HER CLASS
Professor Just was a great professor. She made sure we understood her lectures and she made sure to keep it engaging with a few personal stories here and there. The one thing that really bothered me was that she puts grades in at the last minute. Her due dates sometimes just around but for the most part doable.
For the majority of people that take this class you should be fine. But for the people that prioritizes other classes you do ok. First of all she strictly grades hw answers. The essay, midterm, and final are easy. The only problem is the hw being worth too much when she or the ta grades too harshly. Also the check frequently for the due dates of Hw
She is a nice woman and is passionate about what she is teaching. What upset me, and many of my fellow classmates was that she did not post any grades throughout the semester, not one! We were left in the dark until the final. We begged her to post them so we could know going into the final. She said that is not her job and to not bother her.
Highly recommend. 18 homework assignments that are straight off the powerpoint. 2 tests and a non-cumulative final. Very easy tests. 1 easy paper. Lectures were straight forward an easy. TAKE THIS CLASS! No textbook needed.
Take this class if you want an easy A. Lectures are fun, hw is straight to the point, and gives a study guide for tests. She's a little slow when it comes to grading but honestly such a fun professor.
Hard to reason with, doesn't post grades the ENTIRE year!! Wouldn't recommend for a beginning class.
She is really rude to students. She doesn't seem to care for her students and ignores emails! She also does not post grades.
This was HS health all over again - complete with information from 2006! Seriously, the curriculum has not been updated in over 15 years (kind of important in a Health Sciences class). It also includes offensive definitions towards bisexual people and other information that contradicts a simple google search. Outdated and not worth your tuition.
Great professor her lectures are always enjoyable as she often shares stories and always elaborates on every topic taught. 1 paper, 2 midterms, 1 final, and about 18 homework assignments. Definitely would recommend. Easy class
Professor Just is a nice and funny teacher who sometimes goes off topic, but it's not too bad. Her lectures consist of her just reading off the slides, so it is kinda boring. The homework is easy and comes straight from the slides. The tests are also really easy if you memorize all the homework and study guide questions.
Professor Just provides Powerpoints with notes, so it made it much easier to study and absorb information. Her lectures are engaging and she gives clear expectations of what she expects from assignments/tests. Shes very caring and kind. I would definitely recommend taking her.
Easiest class I've ever taken. All you need to do is: turn in the homework which you base off the lecture slides before the due date (no late work accepted) and pass the exams. The exams are common sense, though it's 2x easier if you pay attention to her zoom sessions.
Professor Just was awesome! Her lectures were amazing and engaging! Her study guides contained everything that would be on the exam. Homework was also very easy to complete and prepares you for the exam. One paper and it was super easy and fun to write about and as long as you followed the rubric you got a good grade.
prof just isn't my favorite prof on campus, but she's a really good one. homework every week, just attend class and do it while she's lecturing as all of the answers are in the slides. 3 exams (2 midterms and a final, easy if you study+have some common sense lol) plus a paper (easy, three page paper on a personality quiz u take).
DID NOT GRADE ON TIME. We constantly had to submit homework on time and she would not accept late homework but she did not grade a single thing until the last three weeks of the semester. Additionally, she would get upset with us if we emailed her asking about our homework and our grades. The midterms and final are very lecture heavy.
DID NOT GRADE ALL SEMESTER!! There was no grading throughout the whole semester. Homework is given out weekly and is due Mondays and Fridays. Just hates it when students ask her about homework especially when emailing. Just kept mentioning grades would be done before finals but really disappointed. Class is overall easy would not take it again.
She is a great professor. The content she teaches us about is so interesting and I love how she engages her students. The homework assignments and exams consist of the information on her slides. Her class was overall straightforward and great.
take her !!!! she cuts out the work for you by providing EVERYTHING on the slides. attend the lectures, they help! you get ez hw (answers on slides) and only get tested on the study guides she gives you! 2 midterms, 1 final, 1 paper. nothing hard if you put in the effort. downside; takes forever to grade. took final not knowing my current grade
Took it online this semester; she seems to be upset that her students are doing well on the exams and automatically assumes everyone is cheating. Now she tries to make them more complex and harder to the point where she's going to "especially ask only information people in the lectures would hear" & fail kids who cannot always make it to class.
please avoid her. easy A (i think??), but literally hasnt graded any of our work since september. slides can range from 20-70 per chapter and anything could be on the exams which is dumb cause you're not really sure what to focus studying on. take literally anybody else if you want things to be graded on time and clear guidance.
an okay professor, would recommend taking it with someone else though. easy A class. lots of homework (18) but manageable. you can answer the questions based off the slides. slides are long though. tons of information to study for the exam. she does take a bit long to grade because she has hundreds of students
An easy class. 18 manageable assignments, 1 easy paper, 2 total tests, and the 200pt final. This class is easy but the tests cover a lot. She gives us a study guide so put in the time to study a week in advance and you'll do great. Class isn't mandatory, but she tried making the final "only lecture questions" which wasn't true. Easy class
Professor Just wasn't bad at all. People just like to complain but yet you see they passed with an A. Her lectures were interesting and her homework was super easy. Don't let the other reviews scare you!
Professor Just is amazing. She makes her lectures very easy to understand. All homework assignments are easy, they're straight from the lectures and she isn't trying to trick you. The tests are pretty easy as well, just make sure you study from the study guide she provides. Attendance isn't mandatory, but going to her class is beneficial for tests.
SURe its an easy A, but we aren't rating for how easy classes are, we are rating for the professor. some of the stuff she said was questionable? coming from a biology major. she also didn't grade anything until like after grades are due and she hasnt even uploaded the grade on the transcript. she is a very kind lady though! sweet and lecture heavy
Interesting lectures and easy assignments. Exams are not too difficult. Easy A.
She is the easiest and most straightforward professor ever! We have weekly homework assignments and a total of two midterms and a final exam. The homework assignment answers come directly from her lecture notes, which she posts and leaves up for students, so theres no reason not to get an A on all assignments. We never use the textbook either.
Don't take this class if you want to know your grades as soon as possible. This class was easy, you just have to keep up with the homework every week, a personality paper, 2 midterms, and 1 final exam. You will be given a study guide a week prior to the exam which will be helpful to filter out the other info you won't be tested on from the slides.
She definitely has... opinions. The lecture and homework are super easy though. Grade won't be inputted until pretty late though.
Easy class. Attendance is not mandatory, everything you need to complete the homeworks are on the lectures that she posts in Canvas. Exams are easy if you study them on Quizlet.
She was nice and her class was very easy, just simple lectures, weekly easy homework like one assignment with eight questions that are all found on the slides. Just takes a while to grade. Everyone went into midterms and final exam not knowing their current grade.
She told us told to buy a textbook but, tbh you don't need it. She's nice & straightforward but, she can be passive aggressive. She's a slow grader and hates it when you email her about it. Homework and this 1 paper was easy. Her test were doable as long as you study but, remind you, it's a lot of info's to take in since it's lecture heavy imo.
Class was lecture-heavy but not mandatory. All slides were posted on Canvas. She did take forever to grade assignments. Assignments were very easy and only once a week but answers are directly from lecture slides. We had one "big" paper about two personalities but it was pretty easy! Quizzes were easy if you used the study guide provided.
Amazing professor! As a PUBH major this was a perfect intro class to the field and completes a GE. Lectures are easy to follow and the homework follows exactly whats said in the lecture slides. 2 midterms and one paper, but the paper is interesting to write about so it isn't too difficult. Attendance is not mandatory, highly recommend!
Professor Just is a great professor to take for this course. There's weekly homework but you can copy the answers from the lecture. 2 midterms that are super easy and a 3-page paper which isn't difficult at all. Attendance wasn't mandatory and I showed up when I felt like it. Overall, take the class for the requirement. Super easy.
Strict on accepting late work but you just copy whats on the slides. Objectively, its easy, but your grade will tank easily if you do not turn in homework (personal experience)
The homework is very managable and can essentially be done in class. But don't underestimate the Exams since they may ask the smallest details imaginable, so definitely study hard for it.
Beware you won't know your real grade until you view it on your transcripts so if she makes grading mistakes which she does it would be too late to have it updated because she does all her grading on the day that is due and Canvas is never accurately updated
Even if you turn in assignments, it will be marked as "missing" and bring down your grade until she changes it. She's very slow at grading so you won't know your grade till the end of the semester. Homework and tests are easy and there is one paper about your personality that I really enjoyed. Great professor just wish she was better at grading.
Very nice and chill professor who genuinely seems to care about her students. Tests can be a bit difficult but as long as you study ahead of time you'll be fine. The only real downside is she takes forever to grade but there's very few homework and when there is it's super simple. There's only one paper and it's actually quite fun.
PUBH101 with this professor is a breeze. Lectures are straightforward, and homework is easy as the answers are directly from the slides. Study tools like unstuck AI and Quizlet make exam prep a breeze. Recommended for a hassle-free credit.
Don't take this class if you want to know your grades as soon as possible. Highly recommend that you take it with a different professor. A textbook is not required. The workload consists of 8 HW Assignments, a Personality paper, 2 midterms, and a final. It can be overwhelming, with 20-80 slides per chapter and unclear expectations for exam content.
To start her lectures were very boring because she read directly from the slides that were already posted so there was no motivation to go to class. She is an extremely slow grader. She didnt grade the homework assignments until 2 weeks after finals so there was so way to ask for feedback or extra credit. Exams are super long.
She is a nice professor but her lectures are agonizing. She has 60+ slides that she just reads from word for word every single day, there was not one day that we did something different. When comes time for the test its soo long and confusing and just doesnt reflect her lectures (i studied ALOT and went to all the classes) HW/Project are very easy.
SHE TAKES FOREVER TO GRADE. If u need feedback or have question you definetly will not get it. The whole semester I only had 2/3 hw assign. graded and to make things worse she makes u submit through dropbox and not canvas so it always shows 0 or missing; best to talk to her in person. Super lecture heavy. Other than that she is a nice teacher
Takes forever to grade, reads off slides, exams don't really match to lectures, homework every other week, 2 midterms, one paper, and a final. Tbh the only thing I liked was that her lectures were recorded and you didn't actually have to go to class. Other than that she's chill and uses real-life examples to make content understandable.
Really nice, lectures boring, one paper due, exams are pretty simple and straightforward. I recommend taking her even though she takes a while to grade homework and so it will look like your grade is worse than it actually is, but overall VERY easy A.
she makes her lectures verrryyy enjoyable and a cool professor overall, one thing is that she grades homework very slow, but there are a couple of assignments here and there, not overwhelming at all, very doable if you are a freshman
Pretty easy class, her lectures and her commentary made health interesting and hilarious. Her class load is just a 3 tests and one paper. I would absolutely recommend her for anyone looking to take a course outside their elective
This class was fully online and so her zoom lectures consisted of 30-90 page slides, which she directly read from so sometimes it was overwhelming and boring. Her class had only 6 homework assignments and 3 tests (one is the final). She provides study guides. Easy class as an elective but I would not retake this professor.
Professor Just is so sweet and the content for her class is not particularly hard. However on weekly homework assignments she sometimes takes away points and doesn't leave any comment on what you did wrong or could fix in the future, which makes it harder. There were also a few tests (easy but some very specific questions) and a short paper.
Professor Just is one of the best professors I have ever had, classes are easy, just a little boring, but grades are dependent on 2 midterms, a final, and a paper, I got 100 percent on the paper even though I wrote it in an hour. She is very laid back and understands that you are a human being. She just grades a little slow.
Eh easy class but lectures can get kinda boring. HW is very easy and straightforward just do the work.
One of the best professors, Super organized and she honestly doesnt give out impossible tasks. Take her, trust me !!!
I liked her a lot in the beginning of the semester, since the homework she assigns comes straight from her lecture slides. Towards the end of the semester she took off points on the homework, even though I took the answers from her slides. She also didn't leave comments for you to know why points were taken off.
She was a good professor, a little bit older, she's been at the school for a while. She does tend to yap but her stories can be interesting. Class is based on weekly homework and answers are found in the slides online. There was a midterm and a final that you must be present for in person, but she doesn't take attendance. At your own risk
pofessor just was obviously passionate about public health. attendance not mandatory, but I showed up for most lectures bc she told several interesting stories. she assigned about 6 HW assignments (answers easily found in the slides), 1 paper, 2 midterms, and 1 exam (midterms and exams are in person). she was great!
A very nice and chill professor, she has a lot of love for her students and she can be quite funny with her stories. However throughout the semester her lectures start to feel stale and feel like she's yapping too much, however she's still great and fairly easy as long as you do the homework and make sure to study for exams.
Professor Just is an amazing professor. Her classes are lecture heavy but totally doable. Her tests are based on the study guide she provides. She is very kind and approachable. Take her class!
Her lectures are so funny. She doesn't just read from the slides; she tells stories to make the concept easier to understand. But always be prepared for her midterms.
Super funny and wholesome professor, who tells amazing stories. Her classes are fun and chill and she turns the lights off which is great. There's homework every month and it is so easy and fast.
Didn't reciprocate the level of respect she expects from students. Maintains strict deadlines while perpetually lagging behind grading far beyond an appropriate threshold. Becomes visibly agitated at questions she dislikes. Sprinkles health misinformation into lectures. This is an easy class unless you value health education.
I have no clue how this woman has such a high score. I would never take her again. She is the most boring class I've ever had. Learned nothing. She talks down to her students and makes you feel guilty for asking simple questions about when she will finish grading. Be ready to sleep during her class.
I thought this class would be chill because of the high ratings she got. But, it turns out that her class gets harder and harder. It's very TEST HEAVY course so BE PREPARED TO STUDY A LOT. Pro tip: when ur studying for her exams, study every single detail about each topic. I would not take this class and IF YOU CAN, take this class online.
Rating misleading, concepts are not necessarily difficult but study guides are vague and questions on the exam are very specific. Overall, not a difficult class to learn if you take the time to go to lectures and take notes. Still, frustrating that her study guides are vast and unspecific, but the exam questions test you on the slightest detail.
A nice lady, can be a little stern but she overall is a good professor, her class is pretty manageable, one homework assignment once every 2 weeks and only about 3 exams. Overall a fairly easy class. Definitely recommend taking
