Fun Classes, Cool Projects
At times the class seemed pointless. But overall not bad...
Don't do much on a daily basis. Posting online is a drag and pointless.
Projects are great, but lectures seem to drag on, despite the use of PowerPoint.
good teacher but at tiomes seemed to be "fake"
Group Project is very beneficial; great class; very friendly lady
class was boring, she was fair at times
What a flake... I could teach by reading slides too! No need to go to class.
has no clue how to teach, bias, absolute@!#!@$@#%#@, never would suggest her
just print out the slides and teach yourself, no need, at all to buy book. bias!
Seems nice in class, but wait 'til you get exam back. Doesn't teach; powerpoint
Nice person. Great teacher.
She is a very hard teacher to read- you never know where you stand with her.
Never had a more fair teacher. Great lady!
AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! Very helpful. Very friendly.
Really good class. I learned a lot about marketing on the Internet.
Very useful course!!! Learned alot about how marketing really works.
Disrespectful to students. Phony. Only professor in 4 years that I did not like.
This class was so boring! I learned about 2 things the whole semester.
Great course so far! I'm really enjoying it!
Great class!Alot of work is outside classroom.Learned essential internet stuff!!
two-faced, does not teach subject.
Will tell what she wants and then will tear it apart during grading, very anal!
Learned a lot from the project, hard grader, open book test, boring lectures
Very unfair, bias, boring, and ignorant. Needs more schooling herself.
Be ready to do work. 60% of grade on project.
do whatever you can to stay out of her classes, she will put you to sleep daily
Very Picky...Look for another teacher if possible
This is one of the most biased and unfair profs I've had in 4yrs here. AVOID!!!
worst teacher ever
Good class. Very fair in grading
She is seriously the meanest teacher ever, she says she will help...Yeah right!!
AVOID!!!! Unfair grading. Loves to rip your work apart!!!
Good teacher. She works hard to help students succeed.
Do not ask her to help, she doesn't even know what she wants.
Terrible class and don't get slackers in group you will stress all semester
Worst class/teacher ever. Paper was 200+ pages, directions were very unclear
UNFAIR grading. Do not expect an A if you are an A student. She is Bad!!!
Can we say self-taught. Don't expect any help, gets off on ripping work apart
Project is like having second job, very picky grader
Don't take. She is the worst prof. @GVSU. Not helpful at all. Unclear and biased
Great class! I learned a lot about Internet marketing.
One of the best at GVSU. Caring teacher. She really knows her stuff.
Doesn't use texts! Doesn't hardly teach! U Do LOTS of presentations!
I worked hard, did good work, and got an A! Very fair teacher.
Class was good preparation for the real world! Very business-like.
I got a job BECAUSE of this course. Prof. was a huge help. Highly recommend!
She's a really nice person, knows her stuff. Has has high expectations!
People say she is nice. But I didn't see it. Not helpful. Pawned us off on SBDC.
Super teacher. Super lady. I really admire her.
Super teacher. Super course. Highly recommend to anyone.
Learned practical useful things finally ... I wish other classes did the same
Great prof, I highly recommend
Interesting course. Nice lady who is REALLY helpful.
Super person. Really cares about students and helps them to do their best.
She was very understanding and a HUGE help with our project. Very nice lady.
SUPER helpful. She is patient with students and really wants them to do well. I admire her.
Excellent Prof., Tests are open book, Research project is big but I enjoyed it.
She was very understanding and a HUGE help with our project. Bends over backwords for students.
HORRIBLE!!!!!! RUDE. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. DOESN'T CARE ABOUT STUDENTS AT ALL!!!
Worst Prof at GVSU! Large projects that are graded unfairly. Steer clear!!
coolest teacher I have ever had! Recommend!
She really knows her stuff & is passionate about marketing. Very tough class, but you leave with a great understanding of the subject.
One of the best teachers at GVSU! She's GREAT!
Good Prof, learned a lot. Big projects, but not difficult. Gives you a lot of chances for XC and to succeed.
Projects are lots of work but she is the best prof in marketing department! Nice person too.
ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!
I am afraid to get on her bad side. Book is useless except for on quizzes which are hard and worded incorrectly. Fight anything you get wrong on them she will change grades.
VERY tough grader...thinks that a C average is what the class should get. I should of gotten a B to B+, but barely got a B-.
Want to say bad things here, but class isn't THAT hard and she tells you what she wants. Uses your work for her personal acheivement gain though. You can deal with her for 15 weeks.
Tough as nails grader. Your work gets her recognition. She treats you like a baby and doens't respect you. Avoid like AIDS.

horrible
Thinks we want to hear about hern snobby daughter, plays favorites, only gives A's to those that playcate and are brown nosers, unwilling to help or meet students in the middle, worst teacher I have ever had
Our group project was clearly the best done in the class and we got a B- on it. Our client even recommended we get very good grades, but nancy grades on how well your powerpoint looks and if you can give flashy presentations.
Quizes are straight from the book but are still very hard. She words things very unclearly and is defensive when questioned about answers.helpfull, willing to meet and explain the project. not that bad, you can stand her for a semester just smile
I wouldn't take this course unless I only had 12 or less credits and DID NOT have a job. This class will take nearly all your free time. she's an impossible grader, plays favorites, her quizzes are impossible to get A's on, and she's VERY defensive.
Terrible, one of the worst I've had at GVSU. She thinks she is doing everyone a huge favor, but that couldn't be farther from the truth!
Stay away!
good prof. gives clear directions and is always their for questions. She is a bit anal w/ grading, but not more than she should be. all her bad ratings are from the lazy ass students who are pissed because she is the only prof grading at a college level
TAKE HER! TAKE HER! TAKE HER! She's the quickest response on emails, requests for homework help, etc. Her class is a good pace and she works hard to deliver whatever the students need to understand. She's the best prof I've had at GVSU!!!
Awesome prof! Puts so much energy into class time. Best prof I've ever had. Very helpful and understanding. Take her if at all possible!
Great professor. Class is a lot of work but she is very helpful and cares about her students. Definately recommend her.
She is the worst prof I have had at GVSU. She doesn't know how to teach and takes forever to do anything. She has her favorites and unless you are one of them...good luck.
Stay Away!!!
Avoid if possible, tests are unfair, little is learned!!
Tests are totally unfair. She is nice enough in class but her teaching methods are ludacris and the tests don't even translate what are the main points in the chapter or what is on her "Study Guides" AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
I enjoyed her enthusaiasm and willingness to help students. She really gets into this stuff which is not the most interesting of material. Arrogant people in this class that thought they knew everything always tried to prove her wrong and confuse her which made it hard at times to follow b/c of those dumb students.I would take a class with her again
I write this comment with no intention to offend this professor. Her teaching style is worse than an elementary teacher. Waste of my money and time. Spends time on covering mathematics than anythng else. Could not even answer general questions that students made. Nice but should not be teaching, because it's the last thing she can do. AVOID HER!
I loved her & took her twice! She's peppy and goes through everything slowly so that everyone can understand it. She makes available lots of points so you get a good grade. Tests aren't hard if you attend class, attempt to read book and follow study guides.

Very nice lady, and very enthusiastic about teaching. She often brings a different perspective that the textbook doesn't give. Really cares about students, and is willing to work with those who will work hard. Is a very reasonable grader, and gives tons of extra credit. She is very bright and can teach you a lot if you decide you want to learn.
awful communicator. very hard. find someone else to take. but not koste either...
Mood swings! You better hope she's not having a bad day when she grades your assignment. The most inconsistent grader I've ever had. Very frustrating. I thing she enjoys screwing with students. She's been on a power trip since she got back from her trip to India where supposedly her students gave her a lot more respect.
class is terrible and so is the professor, she thinks very highly of herself and is often rude
This prof is terrible. Her tests are ridiculous. You get a cheat sheet but it doesnt help. She thinks of herself as donald trump and the students are the aprentinces. So she holds the rights to take off 5 points for any spelling errors. She is full of herself and not into explaining things well. Do not take her!!!!
This prof is one of the best I've had at GVSU. Continually asks for student input on class/lecture improvement and has such a passion for OM. I learned a ton! THIS is what an MBA class should be - take her if you can!!
Who ever writes anything positive about this professor has to be either related to her, or Nancy herself. This lady is a TERRIBLE teacher. She is tricky and rude. Her grading is aweful and she has no right being a professor. She asks for students input and then defends the reasons why she does what she does and trys to make it the student's fault.
She told us to buy simple function calculators at the book store to use on exams. The next exam involved equations that used the square root key that of which the calculators we just purchased did not have.
She will alienate you as a student, basically tell you you are stupid and you will never be able to compete with India. She is intent on making sure you know how much better India is than the U.S. She is sometimes unstable and has trouble coping with questions that are not cut and dry from the book. We live in the USA, she should live in India.
GREAT person. Really cares about students and wants to see them do well. TAke her courses and listen to her if you want to succeed in business and in life.
Not an easy class but you can learn alot about the real world from her b/c she tells it like it is. She is very helpful in going over problems and helping students. Lets you have a cheat sheet for the exams.
very, very nice person. hard though. works your BUTT OFF but helps A TON with work on the project for businesses. lots of work but you learn alot. I took 366 with her too. 366 was good but 362 was an amazing class esp. b/c she loves her students. Take her for any class that you can.
Awful teacher. I left class more confused about the topics than I was before I attended class! Lectures were confusing. She often does examples wrong and the students have to correct her several times a day. Grading was tough on homework and exams. Don't take her if you don't have to!
Horrible teacher. Rude to students, treats you like you are stupid when you ask a question. Needs to get off her high horse. Class itself is not bad, just find a different prof. Only good thing was she offered up to 30 points extra credit. Complained about our 13% tuition increase but made us buy $180 book. UGH!
Overall not a bad professor, very helpful and offers more than fair share of extra credit. However, this is the first college class I've failed. General assignments/material isn't bad only the tests aren't given proper time. At end of 2nd test 1/5 of class was still finishing and on the final over 1/2 remained uncompleted. A clear problem.
She is not ready to teach MBA classes. Actually, I learned more from a foundation class (MGT 561) than this class. Just waste of time. Too many cases. It seems like cases are used to pass the time. The classes are tedious and horrible. If you are wise enough, plan your schedule accordingly and avoid taking her class.
Amazingly fair prof. who is incredibly patient with students who can be rude and stupid. People who complain about her are just lazy. If you want to waste your tuition money, take a class from somebody else. If you want to learn, take one of her classes.
Dr. Levenburg is a realy great proffessor. She really wants her students to do well in her class. Make sure you read the book and do the homework. The test wasn't bad just make sure you read and know how to do problems. Studying the powerpoints alone won't get you a good grade. Overall a great prof!
Worst Prof I have had at GVSU. Talks about nonsense all of class then assigns homework and expects you to teach it to yourself. She spends most of class either talking either about how great india is or asking useless questions and staring into the quiet class until she relizes we are ignoring her. AVOID.
Pretty good prof. Need to attend class to keep up and get all points possible. You grade your own hmwk and quizzes. Test are pretty tough. about 20 MC and 20 TF and complex problems at the end. Offers extra credit often.
You can tell she prepared for a great deal of time before each class. She is also very enthusiastic and does a good job of getting students to participate in class discussion. Asks challenging questions. Grades fairly. Provides flexibility in learning by allowing students to choose direction (in regards to weighting of assignments). Nice lady!
Dr. Levenburg was one of the best instructors I have had at GVSU. Her passion for learning & the subject matter was very evident. I was impressed with her willingness to go the extra mile to assist students learning. I really enjoyed this class. All of the sessions were well thought out. Effective leader of discussions.
She is sure good at organizing her lectures and presenting them clearly. She answers all questions respectfully. Very friendly and is willing to help students get the grade if they put in the effort. She does a great job going over homework problems, and allows the class to work at the classes own speed.
Wow am I impressed with this lady! Some students were really being stupid in my class and her patience with these jerks was totally amazing. If you do the homework her exams are not bad at all. She lets you use a cheat sheet. And she also schedules extra reviews for students before exams. Take her.
She reads from the textbook. She got her degree from Phoenix online. You are better off reading the textbook because that is all she does. She does not understand the material she is teaching, she just spits it back out from the book. Homeworks are graded to the T. She is all around ridiculous.
Tough Class- I had no choice but to take her again and regretted it the ENTIRE semester. Teach yourself most of the work, and do the homework if you want to do well. Material is not easy, and Levenberg will not make it any easier. Scolded class because we were upset she wasnt present for an EXAM
she is frequently corrected by students while working through problems. test are very long, many students don't finish. she has no business teaching at GVSU. avoid this class!
She is one of teh BEST teachers at GVSU. She gives students many chances to improve their grades, use five best of 9 homework scores. Exams are long but she tells you exactly what will be on them if you show up for class and pay attention. I earned an A. Great prof who cares about her students!
Prof Levenburg is one delightful teacher! She makes a potentially very boring class entertaining and interesting but u do have to do the homework (she lets you grade your own). Is very helpful with answering questions about the homework to, so go see her if if you cant figure something out. Great class!
Frequently unprepared for the course; seemingly reads from her notes as though it's the first time she has looked at them in years. Plays to favorites; actively disregards people who aren't located in her circle of trust. Overall, I'm embarrassed that I had I to pay for this course. A true space cadet, like Ray Finkle's mom, but w/ less competence
Nancy did a really nice job holding well structured class discussions. They kept my attention & interest in the topic at hand. I learned a great deal throughout the course & enjoyed the non-traditional learning format. The OCS project was very challenging but I learned a great deal. I really enjoyed the class.
She is very helpful in going over problems and helping students. Very responsive and quick to answer emails. You have to do the homework, but she lets you use help sheets on exams. She really tries hard to help students to earn good grades.
MGT 366: Tough class, tougher professor. Professor fails to understand her students - she is very knowledgeable in her field but fails to understand students. She grades tough, but if you put in the hard work it will show. Overall, I would rate this professor a 5 or 6 out of 10.
MGT 366: If u r looking for an easy A then this is not the class for you b/c you have to read the book and do the homework. But she is probably one of the most fair profs at GVSU b/c she gives you so many chances to increase your grade. Very helpful to students.
The class had many cases to read, one analysis, and her OCS project. There was quite a bit of work for a short summer semester. I would suggest taking it during the full semester. Overall, she is a knowledgeable professor who wants you to understand the material and is willing to help.
This lady is very good with helping students understand how to solve problems. You just have to go to class and keep up with the homework. Its not hard and she is very helpful. even gives extra time to help students. Plus you can use a help sheet on exams.
Prof. Levenburg is probably one of the most clear and organized professors that I've had. She is very helpful when you go to see her. You will learn a lot in this class. Lets you use help sheets on exams. Not a hard class if you can do 5th grade math.
She cannot teach the material. Smart lady, but should not be in education. Gives students opportunities to recieve extra credit because her exams are tough and unfair -unreasonably long (75% of the students in my class did not finish the midterm or final in given time) Constantly lecturing about how she "thinks" she runs GV. Warning - GPA ruiner!
Worst teacher I have had at GVSU. She cant even figure out her own examples. When class gets over people just laugh because its a joke and we leave confused and pissed off..day after day.I hate this class! She says ratemyprofessor comments are by students that don't get good grades and are lying. I will graduate with honors, no thanks to her.
Decent teacher. Goes out of her way to help students. Lots of opportunity for extra credit and you can choose not to do homework and take only exam grades. Sometimes she can go fast and material can be somewhat monotonous and difficult. She isn't a bad prof
Professor Levenburg is one of the best professors I've had at GVSU! She goes out of her way to help students succeed. Her attitude is great, always trying to make the class fun.If you do the homework consistently, you will have no problem doing well in her class. She gives so many extra credit opportunities. Choose exams and HW grading scale.
She mentions that this site has false statements the first day of class. This is not one of them. Exams are long. She can not explain anything other than her specific way. I have no idea why she wants to be a teacher. If she really enjoyed doing this job she would show it in class. If she was paid on student satisfaction she would be fired.
Very responsive to emails, blackboard, and office hours. Very patient with students in class. However, is very unclear when presenting new material. Often gets lost in her own presentations and examples. Powerpoints are not very helpful. I would not take her again.
She's very bad at what she does. Watch out for the night class. Extremely dry and boring. It makes it very difficult to stay focused. Don't bother going to her office hours as well. Shes not very helpful when it comes to that.
Good professor but boring class. Gives option of doing homework or not. If you do the homework, go to class and write down the examples then it's hard not to get an A. multiple choice on tests are difficult but you get a note page so it's pretty simple.
Great professor. Knows her material. If you like to work hard, do some math, and learn theory behind the concepts, you will like this class. Two options for grading which is nice and tons of extra credit. Tests are tests -- a few problems, 15 or so multiple choice, 15 t/f. If you aren't lazy, take the class. She is great.
I am in college I don't want to have to do extra credit to be able to get an A because she refuses to curve exams, which are absurdly difficult...
Nancy is not very helpful. She will respond quickly but not in a manner which helps solve problems at all. Also, the software presents an issue for this course if it doesn't work.
By far the worst professor I've ever had. She is an extremely tough grader, and a majority of the time someone asks her a question she doesn't understand what they are trying to ask, so she goes on a slightly relevant tangent to the question but avoids answering it. Do not take her class under any circumstances.
By far the worst professor I have ever had. I honestly believe she hates her students. If you ask a question she treats you like you know nothing and tries to avoid answering them. If you visit her in her office do not expect any help. Also, plan on teaching yourself all the material because she doesn't teach you anything during class. AVOID HER
Nancy is the worst professor I have ever had. She does nothing to help you as a student and when you ask her a question she avoids answering it. If you go to her office hours for help she seems annoyed with you and half the time is not there. She ALWAYS has to be right. I would recommend avoiding her at all costs and watch out for the night class.
Class overall was pretty easy. She goes slow in class so you're able to follow along which is nice. There's homework due about every week but she only keeps your best 5 scores which is nice. Exams are kinda hard but if you buy the blue notebook for the class, it is very helpful to study. Overall would recommend her for MGT 366.
She is a very sweet professor. I came to class hoping to learn a lot because it is a class that I have high interest in. However, she basically just go over the slides briefly with examples from the blue book (buy it!will be very useful). The exams are horrible, because she does not go over the homework problem very well. She is harsh on essays.
-Way to many cases in this class, she bases your grade on your case analyses off how well you format (APA)your paper and your grammar rather than what the main point of doing cases is: YOUR ANALYSIS (This is NOT a freaking English class).
Homework assignments correlate great with material covered in class, with a few expert problems thrown in every once in a while. If you go to class and do the homework you will do well in this course. If you participate in class she hands out "mulligan" stickers which you can stick on exams to earn points back or receive extra points.
Her lectures are reading off slides. She goes through some problems, but so fast you can't follow what she's doing. If you ask a question she acts like you are dumb and avoids answering it. Once she stormed out of class because we didn't know the answer to a question. Tests aren't too bad. She can be really nice, but other times she is really mean.
She has a lot of homework, not all of it is collected. problems are not difficult on the math side but concepts can be challenging. She is pretty funny, and hands out extra credit for exams for participating in class. There are times where she might not get her own problems, but overall she was a great professor.
Professor Levenburg is an interesting one. I have her for both MGT 366 & MGT 361 and she can be scatter-brained when doing problems. She is fair when grading tests as long as you try. Homework pretty much every night for both classes.
Nancy is one of my favorite professors at GV. I was worried taking a "math-y" class again after so long without one but she made it do-able. She's a great teacher and makes sure everyone understands the material before moving on. Tests are tough but you get a help sheet and study guides are given ahead of time. Do the homework! Buy the coursepack!
Tough class. Only 3 exams, first and last are 25% of your grade and the middle is worth 40%. Homework is assigned every night excluding exam days, she takes the best 5 out of 7-9 she collects, and they are collectively worth 10% of your grade. Good, but difficult teacher. Most likely lost my 4.0 at Seidman with an A-...
She is a tough prof but genuinely cares about her students. Very much a part of my college experience. She is sweet and smart. She has always been willing to talk with me and help. Very quick to respond to emails and blackboard. Great instructor!
Professor Levenburg was awesome. She does this thing called "mulligans" which is basically just free points for participating in class to get back on the exam. Whenever I had questions, she was always able to answer them. Attend class, keep up on homework, and you'll be fine. Do the review packets she gives & tests are super easy! Would take again!
Pretty good teacher, exams are exam plus you get a cheat sheet. Go to class and study for the exam easy B or A if you try.
She will read directly from the book with no added clarity. Difficult exams. Will not give you enough time to take exams. Have a question? Read the rubric, she won't help you. If you do not do projects exactly the way she wants them done, she will torch your grade. Unimaginative, uninspiring, just plain "un." Worst instructor I've ever had.
Lots of opportunities for extra credit (up to 30 points), you get an 8x11 cheat sheet on each exam and she gives partial credit. For the plant tour project, make sure your group has the best report or you will not do well. My group was marked down for things that were not in the rubric. Lots of homework and quizzes, but only 5 out of 8 count.
Professor Levenburg is the worst professor I have had at Grand Valley. I learned absolutely nothing from her class besides how to deal with a rude, negative professor that does not care for her students. Do yourself a favor and take a different professor.
Professor Levenburg is a very smart person, but not a good professor at all. This is my first time ever writing a review in my four years at Grand Valley. She is a professor who is relatively easy but not worth taking. She is disrespectful to her students when they ask a simple question. Constantly makes mistakes when going over examples, no good.
90% of your grade relies on a plan tour project and 3 exams but does allow an 8.5X11 sheet for help. Exams are very math oriented but wasn't too bad. Forget about learning from her, she will just read slides and then jumps into problems without any explanation. (Watch Youtube Vids). She grades as if this is a SWS class. Take a different Prof!
Prof Levenburg was one of my favorite profs I've had at GV. She's quirky and funny, and explains everything we need to know in great detail. I was originally dreading this class but it ended up being my favorite of the semester. Also gives 30 points extra credit. Would highly recommend her and this class!!!
Terrible Professor!!! I have had not problem in excelling in school throughout my years at GVSU, and she put a halt to that. I would advise anyone and everyone to never take her!!! The worst professor I have ever had!!!!
She is very nice at appearance, but is not very understanding with students. If you ask a question her response is always very passive aggressive. Homework you grade yourself, quizzes are online, so you really get nailed on exams and the plant tour project. Shes very critical of your plant tour charter, benchmark questions, and written report.
I can honestly say she is one of the worst professors I've ever had. Her methods of teaching in class are sub par and do not prepare you for the overly packed exams she gives. She's very vague in her explanations and passive aggressive. Do not take her for any class. Also, be very thorough with everything that has to do with the plant tour.
DO NOT TAKE HER. She made her tests incredible hard and no one finished them on time. One time she even left the class with 10 people still taking the exam and we all had to chase her up to her office to hand it in. She gets distracted easily and lectures are her reading the powerpoint... which she goes too fast on so you cant even take notes on.
No matter who you take 1. MGT 366 is a hard class 2. There's no easy A. Putting aside she makes you feel dumb, there are good things about her class. She gives a lot of extra credit, tells you exactly what math problems will be on the exam (crucial, some teachers dont) and gives you a "help sheet" on exams. She makes sure you know the material tho.
She doesn't teach the material that is in the homework, or does simplified versions that are not helpful to learning the difficult material. She taught multiple concepts blatantly wrong. She gives rude responses to reasonable questions from students. Her lectures are ineffective at teaching the concepts and often focus on irrelevant material.
Prof. Levenburg is a very tough grader. She graded every sentences of your analysis and offered a 2-page feedback. Extra credit of 30 points were given. Besides being a very tough grader, she cared about her students and their learning progress. She encouraged participation and also student interaction in the class. Study well then you will pass!
An intelligent lady, absolutely no idea how to teach the material. Whatever you do, do not take her.
okay. nothing special, really boring class. hoping to get a B. she is dry but nice. final is not cumulative.
