she does have weekly homework assignments which are seemingly out of place with a college course. but they are easy and she doesn't correct them. you get full credit just for answering. her tests are marginal but not difficult. overall she's a good teacher and the class is not difficult

Don't pay attention to the first review that is on this page; if she teaches the class like it's elementary school, why give it a low easiness score? Go back to 5th grade then. This was the most enjoyable class I have taken so far @CSUCI and if you don't want to do h/w then don't go to school.

I really liked her. She is very experienced in her feild and loves to teach us about what she knows. She is very energetic, and keeps the long class entertaining. Try to get to class early because it fills up really fast.

Just remeber to study the multiple choice and her answers to the homework. You can write any kind of BS on the HW. she does not look at it and she gives the answers to the mutiple choice at the end of class. But she is okay.

Nancy is the nicest lady ever! She loves to teach developmental so the class is very fun. Just know that for the essay part on the test, she grade very specifically, so make sure you write the answer as she says it when correcting the hw. (since the tests questions are directly from the hw)

Nancy Loman is amazing. Pay no attention to the people that put poor quality. They probably didn't pass the class and just had a grudge against her or something. Classes are always interesting. Really study the homework because homework questions are test questions. Always ask for help if you need it; she is always open to answering questions.

She is the sweetest lady ever! Pay attention in class and study what she tells you to for her tests and you will be fine. Her grading system is different than other teachers Ex: A-93%, B-83% and so on. Such a great class!

Love this professor! She is all lecture but interesting. You must read before class to do well on the true/false quizzes. Only 5 questions. Her exams are every 4 chapters 50 multiple choice + essay. You have an option for the prompt of 3. The exams are average, if you read you will do well.

Very sweet lady, super smart. Dont expect curves on anything ever. She tells you up front what she expects and where to get the answers for the tests. You need to get the book but you get a quiz each class on the chapter

She is a fantastic teacher. She is very clear about what she expects from students and at least in her psych 100, makes it very easy to obtain an A as long as you READ. READ READ READ before every class or you will not get the grade you want. She is passionate about her work and compassionate toward her students. Don't expect to pass if you slack.

The personality of everybody's favorite aunt. Super nice and knows her stuff. No homework. No extra credit. 80% of grade is exams. Other 20% is quizzes you take everyday. I personally did not use the book and did fine. Pay attention in class and review online before tests and you should be fine. :-). Quizzes are 5 true-false everyday.

Grading is super unfair, teacher is non-sympathetic. If you have a death in the family she could care less. Shows a person's true character, and hers is ugly unfortunately

Prof Loman is great. You can get an A in her class but you have to work for it. You have daily quizzes, four exams and a final. No paper.

I love this professor as an individual, very sweet but her teaching and grading techniques are horrible. She gives the answers to the test so the only thing you learn is how to memorize. My 80% in the class is a C in her grading scale (I did not miss one day of class), constantly made mistakes on the answers for our exams.

I HATE how long class takes to get started. For a 1:50 minute class, this cuts into lecture. Exams are easy, just memorize all that's online. Quizzes are so-so and sometimes worded weird, but you have to read the chapter before hand or you won't do well. Loman is really smart and loves this topic, so she can go off on tangents sometimes.

She gives you the answers to the exams, you just need to study them. It is really easy to fall behind on the readings, so find a good strategy to keep up.

Had her for psyc 213 & 100 her class is made up of daily quizzes off the textbook each worth five point which later adds up to 100 to create an exam. There are 4 exams total all multiple choice fill in the blank vocab and an essay portion super easy because she provides you with the answers so you have to memorize it

Dr. Loman is by far the best professor I've had on campus! She's a real sweet lady and is always supportive; it's mandatory you show up to class. If you skip, just stay for the first couple of minutes because of her quizzes, but as long as you do the readings and study for her tests (everything is posted online) then you'll be fine!

She's a professor that definitely enjoys what she teaches and is more than willing to help. Kind and enthusiastic. Attendance is important for a good grade, as quizzes are taken at the beginning of every class. A little over 90% is required for an A, but tests are not too difficult, they're essentially just what's on the study guide.

Loman is an amazing teacher, but a tough grader on the essays. She also has a messed up grading scale so watch out for that a 90% is a B in her class.

all the answers to her exams are on blackboard! study the practice test, fill in the blanks, and vocabulary. there is also a essay portion, look over the lecture notes she posts on blackboard to study for those.

4 exams, 3 essays (usually cancells the last essay). For exams, she gives u the questions and u have to memorize them, for essays u have to KNOW all of her lecture notes. There is a quiz every day. She is super nice! Try to do really well on the essays, she ROUNDS ur grade based on them. (She rounded my grade from B+ into A- bc of essay grades)

Super easy class. Loman puts every multiple choice test question on canvas with the answers and her lecture notes. There are daily quizzes that are not worth too much so you can miss a few but it's better to just go to class for an hour and get the points. Tests are multiple choice and you get to choose one essay from usually 3 or 4 prompts.

I absolutely adore Nancy Loman and her PSY 213 class!! Provides all study materials online. Daily 5 true/false question quizzes are simple and easy if you do the reading. Her lectures are fun and far from boring. I would recommend Loman to every single student if I could!!

Nancy Loman is one of the best teachers I have had my whole life. She is sweet, funny, and genuinely wants you to learn. All the test questions are on Canvas, and T/F question quizzes at the beginning of class. She recently adapted a no screen policy in her class, but I didnt even care because her lectures are so fun! Would recommend her to anyone.

LOVE DR. LOMAN!! i took her for psy100 and just HAD TO take her for 213 as well. Gives amazing lectures and is super clear on everything. No hw, just a couple of fieldwork assignment that are v easy. make sure to study! the class is only difficult is you procrastinate. Other than that, the quizzes before the lectures are fairly simple! highly rec!!

This class is an absolute breeze if you have a good memory. She posts all the test questions and answers online before. Literally the exact same questions which is nice because the questions are hard. Attendance is mandatory and pre class quizzes but those are mostly common sense. Very caring lady but could be rough if you have a bad memory.

You just gotta study for the pop quizzes at the beginning of every class and for the tests. If you do that well, you will probably get an A.

Nancy is just the best. She really cares about her students and is passionate about her profession. This class requires a lot of memorization for tests, but it helped me to not forget the information I learned. I suggest sitting up closer to the front and paying attention to her lectures to learn better.

Her written part of exams are important, at end of my sem she rounded up for those who got 7/8/9 out of 10s. The written portions are questions based on her lectures so PLS show up. Shes caring & super sweet! 10/10

Nancy is one of the greatest professors ive ever had. Her tests are Easy As (if studied), she provides study guides with all the exact test questions and answers. I have learned a lot from her doing that and really removes stress. I highly recommend her! But anyways, stream and buy Lose You To Love Me by Selena along with her album Rare!

She's the sweetest person ever but her class is a bit eh. Chapter quizzes everyday on the book and a few papers. During COVID she took away the daily quizzes, a paper, and essay portions of exams. She provides multiple choice, T/F, and vocab study sheets & chooses exam questions straight out of those! She's also really good at replying and helping!

Prof Loman is absolutely amazing. She is one of the sweetest, most caring professors I have ever head. I enjoyed every single lecture, and even switched my major to psychology because she made me fall in love with it. There are greenbook activities, and a quiz every class however, if you do the reading, you will be perfectly fine.

I would recommend taking this class. Professor Loman is understanding with your circumstances and this class is consisted of 3 exams excluding final, 1 reflection paper, and 1 case study. The lectures are pre recorded and sent out the night before class would normally start.

A great professor who really cares. She had my favorite lectures that I actually enjoyed watching. Work consists of reading the chapters and watching lectures then writing a small paragraph and having a quiz with true or false answers one every couple weeks. A few tests that were also true or false. Sweetest lady and I hope to take her again.

I really do wish she were to add more assignments in between to help our grade improve a little. Otherwise, make sure to study her lecture notes a lot in order to pass the T/F exams !

I took PSY 213 (online) from Dr. Loman and enjoyed my time in this class. Several reminders were sent out before each assignment/quiz/exam was due and that was a very kind courtesy that I appreciated. Dr. Loman's lectures, particularly about communication with children and aging/dying, were hilarious. She knows her stuff. No extra credit offered.

Took online. Great video lectures that keep you interested! She is passionate about what she teaches. Dr. Loman is also very accessible via email and is willing to meet just to chat. Her assignments are not necessarily difficult, just review the lecture notes provided and you will do just fine.

Professor Loman makes lectures engaging, though her grading system relies heavily on tough true/false exams. The textbook is essential, but unstuckstudy also proved a helpful resource for studying and test prep.
