Tests were pretty easy and if you go to class this one can be an easy A.
Very nice, funny...is always there to help :)
Awesome teacher. Just go to class and do your homework and you'll get an A.
She can't get the material across. Also, she's just a terrible teacher and expects us to understand her accounting lingo when she uses it. Seems like an advanced class, yet only beginner class.
Class can be difficult...you have to attend class all the time and go to see her for help...once you fall behind you are screwed
Great teacher. One of the best large lecture course teachers that I've encountered at WVU. She tries real hard. If you put just a little effort and *do the practice tests* you're good.
do the practice tests and your good to go
Nice Lady, Easy to understand, Willing to help after class if needed. Moves at understandable pace.
Gets the material across well. Has a sense of humor. Practice tests are reflextive of actual tests. Trys to help if at all possible.
Class is kind of hard. Tests are really hard for me. She seems to know what shes talking about but expects us to know what she is talking about all the time
Mrs. Lynch is a great large class professor. Accounting is very boring to me and i have to study a lot to get this stuff, but i am getting a B. She is very clear with what she does and will go over and over information til EVERYONE understands. Very good teacher, but a tough class.

Good teacher! As long as you pay attention you will be good to go. Doing the practice tests are helpful too. How many other teachers give you practice tests that are like the real ones?
She's obviously a good teacher, but i feel that she expects all the students there to be accounting majors or have had previous acct in high school, which makes the class hard
Great teacher!
hard to understand in class, but helpful in her office outside of class- probably the best accounting teacher though
This lady just talks all day and doesn't do a good job at making accounting easy for you. Avoid her at all risks.
Super nice & helpful! Makes tests too long for amount of time given to complete. Projects are kind of rough, but help your grade. Sometimes unclear in explanations. Very knowlegable & friendly though!
She is passionate about the topic, and able to get her point accross extremely well. She is also willing to help whenever you need it.
She was really nice but could have taught the subject in a much easier way. Seemed like she wanted to take the long way for everything. Her study guides were WAY too big for the test that she gives. Overall she seemed really nice and knew what she was talking about.
I cannot rave enough about prof. Lynch. She makes hard topics seem so easy by providing great examples. She is always willing to help and is super nice and friendly. Take her if you can!
She is a GREAT teacher. My best so far at WVU. She makes difficult things so easy, and the tests are always exactly like she says. If you go to class and take notes, you weill have an A for sure. Awesome lady...nice and friendly!
Lynch is an idiot. I went to her office to ask for help she wouldnt even turn away from her computer to help me. Dont take her, you will be sorry!
She is the worst teacher and I am agree with the last comments, very unhelpful teacher
Nancy is an amazing teacher. Tests are super hard but she will take as much time as you need to make sure you know the material. Go to class and do the assignments out of the book. She is a great lady with lots of energy, and is extremely helpful.
This class wasn't fun, but I guess she made it alright. Tests are fairly diffcult and it's hard to recover from one bad one. Project aren't too bad. No curving of grades. Nice teacher.
Lynck is an idiot
please go stoned to class that is the only way youll be able to stand her, also i hope you pass it the 2nd 3 rd 4th time
Definition of a computer--an accountant with a personality. I can't imagine why a normal person would major in accounting.
The class actually wasnt that bad the 2nd time around, i mean it was harder than hell, but she was helpful god bless that woman for my C

She is great! Very willing to help you if you need it. She knows her stuff and truely wants you to do well. I would take her again if I could.
She demands a lot, but if you keep up with the homework the tests are easy. Good teacher, not easy, but youll learn a lot in her class. I recommend her if you dont mind a little work.
a lot of work but if you do it and go to class, the tests are easy, she is helpful too. but she is kind of annoying in class b/c she goes to the very last second everyday and sometimes makes you do problems in class and will physically go around and look at everyone's until they have done it
Her tests are way to hard. She moves fast and expects the people who are struggling to move right with her.She doesnt realize that not everyone doesnt want to be an acct major.and pushkin and amoruso are the ones to take if you want to get through acct201.
Too fair in grading. Nice woman. Knows her stuff (too well... she wrote the book). Since she wrote the textbook, she makes you do EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM. Very boring class, but don't skip! You basically have to have a CPA already to do well on the tests. And don't call her out on a mistake. According to her, she doesn't make them, and she'll prove it
Perfect professor! You know exactly what will be going on and exactly what the tests will be. Extremely organized and knows her stuff. Makes great use of examples. She's pretty nice, too.
Although she is a nice lady , she doesn't understand that not everyone is and accounting major. She will help you to the best of her ability but she teaches like everyone is already a CPA
This is a pretty difficult class, but I think she taught it extemely well. Shes very helpful and answers all questions very efficiently. Very nice too.
Not a bad teacher. Some positives & negatives. Tests are just like the homework, sometimes easier, and she explains everything clearly. No need to read the chapters in the book, but problems and quizzes are a must. Lectures are soooo boring as she just reviews the homework problems. She NEVER lets you out even a few minutes early.
tests are really hard. Make sure you do all problem sets because she gets frusterated very easily.Tests are hard, but similar to the homework. If you didn't understand it in the HW you won't get it in the test. Make sure you get help early if you need it.
great teacher
This is the best accounting teacher ever! I can't believe how easy it was to learn from her. Her tests are easy if you do the required homework. Take Lynch for 201, you won't regret it!
She is a very helpful and knowledgeable teacher. She really knows what she is talking about. If you do the Set B problems on a regular basis and understand them then you will have no problem aceing the tests. Take her for 201 if you can!
class is hard, but teacher is helpful. just go to class and do the work.
i hated this class, its absolutely terrible
Great Teacher! Some of these reviews had me wary, but Prof Lynch is nothing to worry about! Go to class. Do the exercises. She will ALWAYS answer questions adequately. Exams require you know the material, but she definitely gives you the oportunity to prepare. Again...I definitely recommend for acct 201. no final on finals week either!
i was so excited for the first week but after that she lost me and all of my friends.... her problem sets B take hours and mean like 5-9 hours... the tests arent hard cause they come right off of the prob set B. She is willing to help but the class sucks. no exams except the final. and its an 8:30...ewww
she is so hard!!! if you dont need this class dont take it. 7 of my friends including myself had her and everyone was in the same situation, we went to class everytime did the prob set a's ( i even had a tutor) and we came out with a D. i am no idiot and have never had below a 3.8 this is honestly a terrible class.
This class was insane, going to class is a must, but if you dont get it at first it'll all run together and you'll never be able to pull out of it - no one has time to do Set A and B every week - try taking someone else.
i can do well in any class no matter how boring. i could take "mind reading 301" and pass as long as i have a good teacher...this teacher...no good. the class sucks and so does the teacher. and i went to see her on several occasions and she was rude.
HORRIBLE teacher. She doesn't explain any of the material that is in the Set B problems, which is what teh test is based on. Her class was also painfully boring, and by the end of the year, I would say that 30 out of the 220 people that took that class still went. It was a pathetic class, and I would never recommend her to anyone.
Acct 201 is a hard subject becasue it is the first accounting many have taken. BUT If you work hard do the set a/b you will learn more than most classes at WVU. By working hard on the set a/b's you should only have to do very little studying for the exams. She was actually very helpful compared to what others have said, I saw her many times and
Mrs. Lynch is probably the best professor I've had thus far. She explains everything EXTREMELY well. It helps so much to do all the problems she assigns. It looks very much like her tests. Read the book, it helps. Sit in the front of the room and don't be afraid to ask questions. She'll do anything she can to help you. Great professor! Take her!
Some don't try. She gives out Set A answers, and set B is almost a photo-copy. She literally wrote the book. If you do a little most nights its an easy A. I do last min and get A. She sometimes talks her acct language too much in lecture, but try your work before asking, learn to ask a Q and your fine. The biggest thing is to participate in class.
After taking Taylor, I regret not taking Lynch. Lynch is an easy A compared to Taylor, you just gotta do the work. She has a ton of office hours and TA's to help. Class is kinda pointless, though. Book isn't great either. But Lynch will work w/ you so you can get through it.
Class is extremely hard, but that is not her fault. She is very helpful if you need assistance and an overall nice lady. Only gets bad ratings because of the difficulty of the class.
She is a great teacher. Very helpful. The class is taught through the financial book and tests are based on the work in the exercises and problems at the end of each chapter. Go to class and copy set a answers and set b are basically the same. she takes random attendances for extra credit. great class even if it isnt your field of interest
The class isn't that bad. The test are online and they come from the hw problems. Prof Lynch is a very nice lady and made it a point to learn most students names. I would def recommend lynch for anyone who has to take acct 201.
I hate this class...It is so boring...accounting is definitely not for me.
she is an alright teacher bus she does everything weird. She will show an example and then try to teach it...very hard to comprehend...nice lady but not a good teacher
Took her for acct 201. I think she is the best accounting teacher at WVU. know how to She goes through pretty much all of the set A problems which you need to do for your set B, which is what the quizes are from. She's also very nice and always ther to help you when you need it. Highly recommended if you have to take this class.
Great teacher. Very willing to help.
Lynch has to be the worst ACCT teacher at WVU... I went to almost every lecture, got extra help, did all the homework and still failed. I got As and Bs in all the other classes I took this semester. I'm sure if I had another teacher I would have got an A or a B don't take her class she is horrible.
I think she is a pretty good teacher but the subject doesn't make any sense. This is why I got a C, she could be worse.. I wish she used powerpoints like the other teachers..
Good teacher, very nice and tries to get to know students. Go to class and do set A problems before set B and it's a pretty easy class. She always was willing to help if students didn't understand.
This class was not fun at all. Very difficult and pointless for most of the people that are required to take it. At one point, I stopped going to class completely because I was simply not learning anything at all. I generally am a good student and this class really showed me that I will never be an accountant.
Ok professor if you read the book the class is pretty easy, the book is a lot more hands on I only went to class for extra credit on occasion
Hard but good teacher
She wrote the book, but can't teach the class
She can't teach.. it was a waste of time and money
Cool nd simple
Great accounting teacher compared to all the others. Willing to listen and help if you have problems! Defiantly recommend this teacher.
Hard teacher, hard class
Go to class. She gives bonus to those who attend because so many people skip and sometimes, she even lets the class out early. Also, she makes time after class for any questions. Utilize this and you'll pass.
Fantastic. So willing to help, will answer any questions during class time. Go to class, do the work, get an A. She is a little more challenging than other teachers, but you learn a lot more. Highly recommend.
I couldn't imagine a better teacher. If you can't understand it from her, you're not going to get it. She has been helpful for me even after I finished her class. Do the homework and take notes in class. Easy A, you just have to put in the effort.
Best teacher I have ever had. Makes everything extremely clear, and understandable. She had a fantastic attitude, and was always willing to help. She has office hours everyday. Go to class, it helps tremendously. And make sure to do the assesments. The tests are a breeze if you know the info in the assesments.
She knows her stuff Accounting and how to teach it. Go to class take the notes in the workbook. Work through the homework and get an A. Great teacher helps whenever you need it. I will take her again if I ever get the chance to.
Mean woman. Tries to assign seats in a 300+ lecture hall. Boring class. It's confusing work that she doesn't explain. I would take another teacher.
Avoid at all costs. Your life depends on it.
It definitely is not an "easy A" class but if you go to every single class and actually pay attention to everything its easy. If you do well on the assessments you will do well on the tests. Don't skip class, missing just one will completely throw you off.
Would not recommend.. not the best teacher
She is a very nice lady who is very personal with all of her students. Her exams come straight from the online study plans. If you study 2-3 nights for the exams and ask her questions in class or during office hours then it is an easy A.
Great Professor, but I don't like accounting.
apparently when this class used to be the workbook it was easier but the online homework/quizzes suck. they will hardly help you on the exams... what you go over in class and on the homework arent really on exams and the book is pretty vague. its a tough class.
Online homework/tests are tedious and in class tests are nearly impossible. She tells her students to look at the study plan but tests are usually completely different. The final is extremely difficult. She is a nice lady but doesn't do anything to help her students.
She is an awful "professor" and only ranted during class. She missed multiple classes and had TA's do the teaching, do NOT take her. AVOID her at all costs, even if you have to wait a semester take another teacher, it'll be worth it!!
Read before class because she only goes over actual problems and hardly teaches the text. A lot of work but prepares you for exams successfully. If you read at home and like hands on help in class then she is the perfect professor.
Not a good teacher. During lecture she goes on and on and hardly any of the material shows up on the tests. You have to teach yourself the material through the book and online homeworks. Do NOT take her she is terrible!
Makes the subject much more confusing than it should be. Also refuses to help with student's grades.
Her tests are nearly impossible and her lectures are pointless. She babbles on an on without showing students how to do the work. AVOID if possible. Impossible to do well.
AVOID! Her tests are impossible and homework assignments take forever to complete. No chances to bring up your grade either. Just terrible.
This class was tough, but the professor's explanation made it much easier. She reviewed topics in class over and over and over.Sometimes she chose really basic examples to explain difficult topics. If you pay attention in class and do the homework and exercises in the study plan, you can easily get an A+.I did get it. But you need to work really hard!
worst. teacher. ever. classes are useless and the tests are nothing like the homework. tests are impossible basically. getting a C is a good thing thats how hard they are.
Lynch is a very clear and the material is easy to understand. You can do very well in the class if you apply yourself and read the chapter before you come to class. The test are almost just like the homework, anyone can get a B in this class easy you just have to not be lazy and actually do the readings before hand and the study plan provided.
If you sit in the front row, pay attention, ask questions and do the homework this class is not that hard. Its not easy but its not as hard as people say. I didn't open the book once and got an A. Work Hard. Play Harder.
Not very helpful at all. I tried to get tutoring/help and it still didn't help either! Get another professor for Accounting 201 if you can.
Attendance checks are random. Miss 5 classes or more, you lose a letter grade. Assigned seats. Exams are hard. Online HW is not too hard. Final is cumulative. Praying to God that I pass this course to get into the College of B&E. I'd avoid this professor.
Teacher was very nice. But her class is terrible. She expects you to teach yourself and then to class to learn more. Doesn't teach; just does problems in class. Her HW is hard and takes hours. Exams are difficult and tricky. I am praying for a C and I've never had a C in my life.
I can definitely say this was the most difficult class I ever took in my entire life and it was my first "C". Professor Lynch makes her class VERY boring. She repetitively talks and talks with the notes on the board and you can't pay attention. You basically have to teach yourself. You have to try really hard to get the grade you want.
Hard class...put forth the effort (more effort than I've put into any class ever) and u can get an A like I did
If you are an accounting major, absolutely take Lynch. She is a great teacher and will help you to understand the basics of accounting if you put forth the effort. Taking the CPA now and I am much better prepared than people who chose the easier 201 professor. It makes a difference even at the entry level.
For Accounting 201 take Megan McBride-Schaupp. She's more exciting and overall a much better teacher. Nancy isn't a bad teacher, just kind of boring.
If you would like to teach yourself all of the material in this course, take nancy... otherwise stay far away. You will receive little to no help as she posts notes and reads them off to you in class. and taking an exam that is difficult to those even starting to major in accounting
Almost every test you can write a cheat sheet for. Self tests are the same concept as test. Prof makes sure students are as prepared as possible for tests, and offers attendance grades to make sure you come to learn. If you do not pass this class, it is because you never came to class, or you didn't study the PRACTICE TESTS, WHICH ARE THE TESTS.
I had very little interest in accounting until I had to take this class, but now it is my major. Nancy is a great teacher and will help you whenever you need it. If you go to class and actually pay attention, she makes the material very easy to understand. My favorite class I have ever taken at this school. Highly recommended!!
Worst teacher at WVU. At least in the Accounting Department. Teachers so fast and expects students to know all the information she's supposed to teach. Classes are long and boring and tests are ridiculous.
Great professor who cares. Attending class is a must to learn the basics, and you must self teach yourself to get a good grade. Make sure you understand every topic, as future chapters use previous chapters rules. If you don't have your priorities straight, you will not pass this class. I have several friends who failed 3x, I managed to get an A.
a lot of busy work. This class sucks. Online homework is annoying. More work than necessary.
Class was very hard, reading the text book is a MUST in order to pass the class. Class is more of a questioning time than learning. Teaching yourself is the course.
She's nice and cares if you do good. However, you really need to go to all of the classes to understand and the tests can get really hard if you don't understand whats going on in class
She's a great teacher. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you attend you will do well in the class. She's very helpful in explaining concepts if you don't understand. If you're looking for an easy A GEC or business minor class this is not it. Put forth a little effort & you will do well. There is a lot of online busy work, but it's not hard.
Lynch was well versed in the subject, but had a difficult time relaying it to students. I was often left feeling that the book assignments, online quizzes, and exams didn't line up. I stopped going to the class midway through the semester and began using the book to teach myself. I ended up with a B, so I must not of done too bad.
Extremely straight-forward professor teaching a straight-forward class. Highly recommend.
She's a great teacher and knows what she's doing but you have to be interested in accounting to enjoy this class. She is very helpful as well.
Great teacher and person. Gives help when you ask and can answer all questions. If you do all the work and go to class, it's an easy A.
Did not know anything about accounting before I took this class. I was completely lost the third day of class and ended up dropping it. All the work is online and it's hard. I do not recommend her. Taking this class again next semester with different professor.
If you aren't ready to do a lot of work then don't take her. If you do the work and actually try and take good notes then there is no reason why you can't pass the class. The projects and homework assignments aren't east but they help you learn the material.
Her online projects and tests are very challenging and there is little help given. Nice lady, but I have a hard time understanding the way she teaches. Only take her if you have prior accounting knowledge.
Professor was very helpful and good at explaining things. however, she moves through class so fast! You have to watch her videos online in order to know what is going on in class. You teach yourself at home, and then in class she helps you.
Wasn't essential to attend lecture but it's really helpful if you go and follow along. Her book gives detailed info and examples. Homework can be done multiple times & the questions are used again on the test. If you try and are somewhat interested, this class is super easy with a little work.
Best accounting teacher at Wvu. Her lectures and homework are so helpful. Will literally talk to you for hours if you need help. I have never had such an amazing teacher.
Her teaching style is poor and unclear. She expects you to know everything before you even walk into the class. Asking questions is pointless because she just tells you to look somewhere else for the answer. She doesn't care if you get behind or don't understand something. Hard tests and unclear, complicated assignments. Don't take her.
You have to work for your grade. Great professor though, and it helps a lot that she wrote her own book. Its color coordinated, which makes it easy to learn from. Make sure you attend class, she uses clicker points.
She was a wonderful Professor. She gets to know you by name. The textbook is essential to pass the class. If you don't attend class you most likely will not pass the class. Very helpful.
Professor Lynch made learning accounting enjoyable- a feat I didn't think was possible. This class is only offered in summer, so it is really condensed. Be prepared to work HARD to get an "A." There is a ton of material, but she offers youtube videos and multiple attempts on homework so you can retain and understand the information better.
Really great professor if you're leaning towards accounting. She cares for her students and wants the best for them. However she's not one to give in if you missed an assignment or need extra points, she makes you work for your grade. If quality of education is what you want to take away, shes the professor you need.
I didn't show up after the first day and still managed to pull a B because every source you need for the class is online. Don't take this class if you're not ready to work hard, because there is a ton of work. Her online videos are very helpful and walk you through just about everything you need to know. Buying her textbook is unnecessecary.
You really shouldn't take this professor unless you have been in an accounting class before and know what you're doing. She will leave you behind and not help you out much if you start to fall behind. She talks in terms that she understands and you probably won't, first chapter easy, after that, she gets 10x more difficult and speeds up.
You learn a lot which is good especially if you're planning on being an accounting major. She is very knowledgeable and has written her own textbook (cheap cost) along with 100's of practice questions for each chapter. She really cares about her students and their success!
LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!! GIVES ALOT OF WORK BUT IF YOU DO IT YOU LEARN.
Best teacher for accounting no doubt. Be ready to work but she is very helpful at explaining difficult concepts.
She teaches extremely fast and will not slow down if you're lost. She assumes you automatically know what is going on in the class, so she teaches as if you have already taken an accounting class. Do not recommend if you have no accounting background.
One of the hardest classes I have taken. She gives a lot of hw each week & you need to complete each hw with a certain score before Ecampus will allow you to begin the next hw. The only plus is the hw, quizes, AND EXAMS are all online & can be done at home. Spoke to a 400 level teacher and even he said her class covered hard topics for a 200 level
Very smart Professor she gives lots of Homework but it all helps you to do good on the exams. Very nice and will help you at anytime if need be. To get credit in my class you have to get the Iclickers right for attendance but it keeps you engaged and to study material before lecture.
No help whatsoever.
Worst professor I've ever had and hardest class I've taken by far. I went to her multiple times for help and asked for a tutor and she repeatedly told me that I didn't need one and her lectures were very clear. Her lectures suck and are extremely boring. If you're taking the Busa minor, I would recommend taking accounting at a community college.
Really really bad professor. Not a bad person but just does not know how to make information stick for students. I had to drop and take with a different professor. If you have the option to take Mcbride instead do that. I would dread this class more than anything. Now im in McBride's class and got my first perfect score on a college exam.
I loved professor Lynch! She is a amazing teacher. There is lots of work on the class but it prepares you for the tests and finals. She offers lots of outside help. She wrote the textbook her self, it helps a lot because it is the same material.
Lynch is one of my favorite professors at WVU. I took her course a couple years ago and it prepared me very well for finance and accounting courses. Make sure to utilize the material she provides on eCampus. ALWAYS go through the modules before class, and NEVER skip class and you'll do great. If something doesn't make sense, ask immediately!
Avoid if possible if no prior experience in accounting. She teaches above what should be taught for the level of the class. It's almost as though you're expected to know the material before she repeats word for word from the notes without much explanation. God have mercy on your soul if this is a mandatory credit and you're stuck with her.
The only way I learned from this class was by teaching myself from the homework. The lectures don't exactly correlate with the homework, but they do for the projects. I failed the first 3 tests before memorizing homework questions with the feedback it provided and then started passing all the tests. I didn't learn from her lectures at all.
Professor Lynch wrote her own textbook for the course and it makes the course so easy to follow. She clearly cares about her students' success and encourages questions. Taking her course led to me choosing my major of accounting. She is awesome!
Get someone else.
She cares a lot about the course and will help you if needed... but there was so much homework.. and the class sessions were absolutely brutal, tests and homework are online and very difficult. If you care enough you will pass, not an easy A by any means
I'm in the middle of doing a project in this class and I had a mental breakdown so I went online to see if other people felt the same way as I do. This class is extremely hard and she expects us to know the information before she starts teaching. Don't take this class if it is not mandatory and take a different professor if it is. Save yourselves!!
Taking this class was the biggest mistake of college so far. The in class lectures do not relate to the homework, or tests which are very difficult. The attendance are difficult and class is not even worth going to. If you have to take this class do not take Nancy Lynch will regret it. Even the TA's in my section have zero clue what is going on.
Just transferring into the business college I heard rumors of the difficulty of the class. However, having Nancy Lynch as my professor really helped me understand the material better. You can honestly tell how much passion and care she has in accounting and how she wants to help her students to the fullest. Just do the work and you will be fine.
Great professor but the class is NOT easy. If you want an A in the class you better be studying at least 2 hours a day. Lots of homework/projects. Tests & exams are pretty tough and you need to study at least 4+ hours for them.
She is very respected, regarded as THE professor to take for Accounting at WVU, but she wasn't my favorite. She is nice but a bit odd. More importantly, for an intro Accounting class, she acts like we are all coming into the class as experts, so she expects a lot from you. The class is FILLED with material too.
At first I wasn't sure about Professor Lynch but I ended up loving her! She cares so much about her students and you can contact her at any hour for help. Class is difficult and reading the textbooks and using every attempt on the hw is recommended. Test is exactly like HW. Lectures can be confusing so ask questions. Lots of extra credit.
This class required you to study a lot, but nothing crazy. You do teach yourself a lot, but she is able to remedy whatever questions you have.
If you are an accounting major and do not take her to start you will have issues in all further accounting classes. She is tough on you but gives you plenty of points to get a good grade. She seems intimidating but really cares about the students. She will help you any way she can in class and outside of it. Best professor at WVU by far.
HONORS SECTION: Gets very sidetracked during class and lectures are very unhelpful for homework, quizzes, tests, etc. The projects are very harshly graded, so make sure you know how to use excel before taking this class. Even the tutors assigned had trouble understanding her. Miss class, you better be able to get those notes or understand the book
Lots of homework, quizzes every week & a project almost every week. I'm in the online class, so you will definitely need to read the textbook & do the homework questions to understand better. She's nice in email sometimes, but she can come off as rude when you need help. Go to TA's. Other than that, I'd recommend her for in person class
This class was insanely hard. It felt as though prior knowledge was needed, but not provided. I used my mother's 30 year old accounting textbook and it was quite literally a life saver. I was in the online course and our questions were all directed toward the TA's and we rarely heard from her outside of emails about due dates. Would not recommend.
This class and teacher are horrible, get out while you still can. Nancy's style of teaching is teach yourself ask questions to her or the tutors. In my opinion it's terrible. She makes a medium difficulty class into the hardest class you will take. Also if you have anything causing an issue for you to do something in the class, to bad you get an F.
From experience, this is the most difficult class you'll take your entire college career. This woman will gaslight you and tell you it's your fault for not working hard enough when the reality is that she sucks at teaching! Also has no compassion for students who don't live perfect lives, and expects you to spend 4+ hours a day teaching yourself.
Tons of homework and projects, but that is what actually allows you to understand the work. Not a bad class but if you don't do the work then your screwed. Tests are exactly the same as the homework.
Nancy Lynch is the worst teacher I have ever had in entire time in the educational system. She does not teach and will gaslight you for not trying hard enough when you do not do good on her tedious, trick question-ridden assignments. In a online covid semester she showed no compassion or empahty for the students. Avoid her at all costs.
changed class online with no warning. way too hard.
I wasnt a fan of Nancy herself, but the class wasnt too bad. The best thing to do is to take the homework that you get unlimited attempts on, and memorize those questions and youll be set for the quizzes and exams. The quizzes and exams are exactly like the homework, so give yourself enough time and youll be fine.
She comes off as rude in her emails when you ask her questions. She then doesnt answer your questions, but makes it seem like whatever you did is your always going to be your fault. I took the class online and she was of no help, the class is mainly you teaching yourself form a book that she gives you online.
Anytime you try to get help or ask a question about materiel for assignments- prepare yourself for a seemingly rude answer. She has no sympathy for people who live a regular adult life. All assignments are due at 6 p.m and never at midnight. The instructions for projects are unclear and you will be figuring everything out on your own. Do better.
She literally won't help me she I reach out to email her. Also, she gives these projects that I actually enjoy doing but they are on excel and if you mess up one little cell block then it messes up your whole project and she doesn't care. so yeah she sucks. Just another professor that doesn't care about her students.
Nancy was a great professor, and she was really nice. It is really important to go to class or you won't understand anything. She really cares about student success and does her best to help. She never accepts late work for any reason, so keep up to date with assignments.
She is fair and fine, make sure to read the syllabus.
I have never had a professor that wants me to succeed more than Nancy Lynch. She is incredibly knowledgeable and is passionate about the subject matter. She is very easy to reach and responds to emails very quickly. I really liked the structure of the class, the homework assignments were a great way to study for the quizzes and exams.
She was amazing. She wants you to succeed. The only reason people claim she's "rude" is because 99% of the answers to your questions are in her syllabus and she wants you to find them on your own before asking her. She always accommodated me and I thought she was incredible. She made me declare accounting as my major I enjoyed her class THAT much.
Best professor i've had here. She cares about her students and wants you to actually learn. The class is structured exactly the same as 201 with homework, projects, and exams based on the homework questions. She makes it clear what is required if you decide to major in accounting and what the expectations are.
Good professor. Very hot headed. She does not have the best attitude, and gets mad easily, definitely not the nicest out there. But she does explain things okay, you do understand the class. SO MUCH HOMEWORK THOUGH.
DO NOT take Nancy. She is out for her students. VERY lecture heavy and only gives extra credit through iclicker...which is done in class. Gives zero guidance on projects. Only positive thing to say about her is that she gives time in class to ask questions and responds fast to emails.
I really enjoyed Professor Lynch. She cares so much about her students and wants them to succeed. If you go to class she explains every concept in depth and uses iclicker to make sure her students know the material, and the iclicker is for extra credit as well. It is structured exactly like Acct 201 which was nice. I liked this class!
Professor Lynch became a personal favorite. She deeply cares about student success only if the students also care. Class lectures are info heavy. Used iClicker in person for extra credit (can also be done remotely but more difficult). She created the acct 201 and 202 learning modules for all acct 201 & 202 classes so she knows what she's doing.
Professor Lynch is a tough but fair instructor who really wants her students to succeed. The class is structured well, and using unstuck study along with the provided materials helped me stay on top of the content.
Everything in this class was fairly easy besides the last few projects. I've taken numerous online classes and this was certainly the worst one I've taken. The lectures are fragmented in such a way that makes understanding course materials very difficult. As long as you go to the TA's office hours and study, getting an A is fairly easy.
