A really great teacher. Very fair marker, and tests are very easy. she even gives out essay questions ahead of time... and you can choose which one you want!!! also if you do better on the final than on unit tests she'll take the better mark of the two!!!

I have really enjoyed her as a teacher. she is a bit odd but very easy and a fun class to go to. i always look forward to her class!!!

Nancy is a great teacher. The class is interesting if Psychology is your thing, and the course load isn't that tough if you can choke down a few multiple choice tests. She really wants her students to succeed, and it comes through in her marking.

She is an excellent teacher. Great sense of humor, she makes the class laugh. You will do well if you study. They are MC, very easy if u read the text book.

Friendly, cares about her students. MC quizes, goes over essay questions beforehand. Too bad there is so much material to cover and not enough discussion time. Actually when we stop to discuss we go overtime...but Nancy is so friendly and fun that its ok!

She was one of the nicest profs i've had. Extremely helpful and makes class as interesting as possible. Shows videos and provides good and helpful handouts. Her tests are quite easy because she provides essay questions ahead of time. She is very kind.

Nancy is great!!!!!! So HELPFUL!!!!!! For the essay questions,she gives you the answers all you have to do is study. Her tests are tough but fair!!!

Yeah easy test, straight forward memorization. No tricks. I was only upset that she wouldnt raise my percentage up .3% in order to get me a higher letter grade.

She's very very nice, she would help you no matter what..if she's busy..she would still reply all your emails and would stay longer at school for students if they need help..Tests are easy if you understand what the text book says

Nancy is the biggest sweetheart, and will make the time to help you if you ask! She likes to give out a lot of newspaper clippings, she makes the course really interesting, I enjoyed being in her class.

Nancy is such an excellent teacher; she cares about her students! It is really fun going to her classes. As for tests wise, it is very straight forward, just read the text and knows key terms you will get As. Hint: used study guides, really help.

She is a complete sweetheart. Best teacher I've had so far at Douglas College. Really knows what she's talking about and obviously loves psychology. Very interesting to talk to and makes time for everyone whether it's a personal or academic topic.

She is such a sweetheart. Shes the best instructor anyone could ever have. Keeps you engaged in her lectures and has such a cute voice. Nancy has a great sense of personality and attitude. Is always motivated to help her students do good. A++++

She is soooo nice! There are alot of ums & ohs the first couple of days, then she hits her stride. So helpful and quite willing to discuss how topics relate to you or people you know. Obviously passionate about her work and about rights/dignity for the mentally ill.

Loved her on her class!!! makes class so interesting, didn't think I would like psychology until I had her!! GREAT TEACHER! cares about her students alot! very clear about what's on the test. Gonna taking every class she teaches!

Nancy is a very nice woman, with a very interesting background in the field. She is a very compassionate person, and highly understanding. Exams are generally all text based, while her lectures are not. She speaks about practical/life issues, and really aims for group discussion and personal reflect

By far the best teacher I have ever had. Do your readings, pay attention and study the notes. Has several movie clips in class that make it helpful. Tests are relevant to material. Paper is very clear. Tells you essay question for exam beforehand. The sweetest lady I have ever met!!!

Ms. Maloney class isn't hard. However it does require a lot of reading and memorization. and it does require good knowledgeable writing skills for the APA paper she gives out. However all the material she covers is in the "book" and "study guide" so you don't even have to show up for class just study the books and you're almost bound to pass.

She cares about the process of explaining her materials more than how the students progress. It seems that she focuses on herself, her job, her materials. She concerns "How am I going to explain [this theory]? Do my job?" more than hoping to create future psychologists.

Very nice teacher.However, lectures lack depth. You don't need to attend class to get a decent mark just read text.Gives interesting examples and film clips. Seems to lack focus and doesn't put a lot of thought into lectures at times.She is incredibly kind though and a good person.

Nancy is one of the best. She takes time to actually know the students. All tests are based on the text - read it and get an A. Lectures aren't that relevant to the exams, but very interesting. Lots of videos too. She is so sweet - I'm going to miss her!!!

Extremely nice teacher!!! Her class isn't hard at all. Like some are saying, attend class b/c sometimes she shows videos in class & asks questions about it on the exam. Her exams are fairly easy as long as u read the textbook. Great grading system too if u do bad on a test. She takes da higher mark from the same topic in the final exam as the mark!

Nancy Rocks! Her test structure is amazing- u can make up for everything on ur final. She gives essay questions in advance, and will help u if you go to her a few days before the test with ur essay question. organizes great experiences (riverview hospital) and always tells u whats going on in the community

Awesome professor, best teacher, however very shy and has a fear of speaking so may "oh's and ums" thoughout lectures that make them incredible borking, but all around an awesome class with her!!!!! shes the best!

I really enjoyed her class! She is super involved with the mental health community and has so much to offer students. Take advantage of the oppourtunity to have her as your teacher if you can.

NANCY IS AN AMAZINGLY EASY TEACHER. SHOW UP FOR CLASS, TAKE THE NOTES, AND READ THE TEXT: YOU CAN GUARANTEE YOURSELF A "B". SHE LOVES LENGTHY MULTIPLE CHOICE TESTS, AND THE FEW ESSAY QUESTIONS ON EXAMS ARE GIVEN TO YOU BEFORE THE TEST. VERY INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY, LOVES ANIMALS AND IS A NEAT PERSON! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND HAVING HER AS A TEACHER!

I've taken most of the Psyc courses Douglas has and Nancy is one of my favorites. Nancy's knowledge of mental illness is immense (comment below) - she's a registered psychologist and does great work in the community. Her handouts are for those who have an outside interest in the area she is teaching. Her exams and essays are easy. She's awesome

Nancy is an interesting, fun and easy to follow instructor. She likes to be invloved in her students' learning and is open for help whenever you need her. Plus you'll love her laugh!!

OOOOOOOO UUUUUMMMMM, wonderful teacher, but needs a little more self-confidence in her lectures. Plan to take her again, HINT come to class, it may be a little boring with all the movies, but you get free answers for the tests!!!! take her and you will NOT regret it!

Nice lady, but her class is really boring (and she plays video tapes that basically repeat what she already said). However, it's easy to get an A in this class and the paper is helpful because you learn how to write a good APA stye paper.

Nancy is wonderful. I found her lectures incredibly helpful, and I learned a lot in her class. I would highly recommend her.

Nancy is a very nice and thoughtful teacher. She likes mature students who have an interest in the field and she gives her students every opportunity to succeed. If you work hard throughout the course, every test score can be brought up on the final.

I thought she was great! She's willing to spend the time to make help you understand and ace the class! She seems a little frazzled, but the class was great! She's good enough that I signed up for her adolescent psych class as well. She's a hard but fair marker, lots of test questions are right from the study guide. I highly recommend her!

She was fantastic and the sweetest lady you'll ever meet. She does stutter but it's because she's trying to think of an even better way to put things. Had an absolute blast in adolescent psyc. Honestly she got me so interested in the topics that I never missed a class! Fun incredible person with vast experience in fields other than teaching!

I have no complaints. This is one of the most interesting classes I have taken at Douglas College. Nancy is a very knowledgeable and kind instructor. Tests are fairly easy. The project requires some time in detail if you want to get a good mark.

oohh ummmm she's a decent teacher oooh um ohh but if you read the textbook and use the study guide you can do very well on tests. oohh umm some of her habits are distracting like the onoffonoffonoff of the overhead. ooohhh but she's a nice teacher over all. :)

Amazing teacher beautiful heart.

Great teacher, genuine good character, cares for her students and will go out of her way to help you out. Can come across as nervous at times, asks a lot of rhetorical seeming questions during lectures which can get annoying. Tests are mostly MC, with one essay question given out prior to the date in class. Would take classes with her again!

Wonderful teacher. some annoying pet peeves (umms, oohh, and constantly switching overhead on and off) but you get used to that. Very clear, helpful, and passionate about her work. Paper is extremely straight forward-easy A. and final exam can replace past exam marks if you do better! Overall extremely fun class and completely dedicated teacher :)

She has some annoying habits, and doesn't lecture about some of the stuff on tests. But overall she is an awesome teacher. You can tell that she loves her students and that she wants you to do well. Work, not even hard, and you will pass. Like her a lot, but unfortunately not love her.

One of my favourite instructors at Douglas! She is just a genuinely sweet lady. Her "ohs" & "umms" just add to her character. :) I loved taking this class, & would definitely recommend it. She kept the class very interesting and relevent, and the term paper was very clear. She does everything she can to help you from giving you. Awesome instructor!

She's a bit "scatterbrained" at times and certainly does have some annoying habits (see other comments), but she's very fair and very passionate about the subject matter. She relates a lot to the community and her work, making it interesting. She also gives chances to make up for low grades. Review notes and text and you'll be fine!

Nancy is one of the best professors I have had to date. She is extremely kind hearted and is always willing to help you. If you need an extension, ask and she'll be happy to give one. Tests are easy, she tells you the essay questions beforehand. There is no reason to do poorly in her class! Her odd jokes make the lecture more interesting. Take it!

Best prof at Douglas, knows her stuff, she is tough but fair, will help you if you make the effort. You will get know where if she knows your a slacker. She will take her own time to help you, just ask.

She's an amazing teacher!! She is very helpful and tries to explain everything by using examples and showing videos in class and her exams are very easy.But she is a little picky about apa style but overall she is a great teacher. DEF would recommend her to anyone

Great class, great teacher! She makes it very easy to get an A. Plenty of extra credit and about 90% of her test questions are from past exams, which she puts online for you to see. Attendance not mandatory per se, but she grades on participation. Speak up, ask questions, and read the one required novel.

Nancy is one of my favorite professor in Douglas College! She tries to make everything clear by sharing her experiences and showing us some cute cartoons. Lots of videos with interesting topics. Just make sure to read the textbook before the test. Tests are extremely easy. All based on her lecture and textbook.

Nancy is a sweetheart. She genuinely cares about her students' well-being and success. She has a wealth of experience and I took a lot away from this course. She incorporates current research (interesting) and textbook material. I wish more profs were like Nancy!

Nancy is an amazing teacher! She's there to help and uses videos and comics to make the topics more interesting. There was one paper in the class and she's a little picky on APA style but this will only help with other APA papers. She let us write the paper in sections which was really helpful! I wish she taught more classes!

Nancy is fantastic. She is so cute and has great stories. Her classes can be a bit boring. All of her assignments and quizzes are fairly easy, as long as you follow along and don't fall behind. She's an amazing prof, very passionate and caring. If you speak with her or get her to proof read papers she's extremely helpful and you're almost guaranteed an A. Would recommend her to anyone. She has some weird habits but I found them to be quite funny.
