I took Professor Mcdonald for creative writing, comp. 2 English lit after 1800, and World lit after ren. and I am going to take her for WL before ren. So it is easy to see that i like her a lot other wise why would I take her so much. She's fun and very nice I'd recommend her to anyone and I wish I could say more about her, but they limit ur words

Incredibly smart woman with loads to teach. Always very helpful and understanding. You will amaze yourself at just how much she will teach you. You really have to work hard to get an F, she grades very fairly. If you do all the work, you'll get an A. She's awesome!!

I am so much smarter after taking her classes. She absolutely amazing, very helpful, really cares about each individual student and always willing to work with you. She is really the smartest person I know, and an amazing teacher. She's PBCC's saving grace, and the reason I took so long to transfer.

Professor M is the best teacher that I have ever had. She is enthuastic and enjoys exploring the great works of literature with her students. I would refer Professor M to anyone that goes to PBCC.

If one wants to get an easy A and learn a lot from somebody who has a great mind, he/she must take her. It is very lucky to have such a good teacher at a community college. She teached at a very good university, but she preferred to come to PBCC because she likes teaching so much.

Super cool super intelligent woman. She's down to earth and doesn't put up with all that over-analyzation of literature ****. She says it is what you make it (and even if it's obviously not, she'll listen obsequiously to your opinion and probably give you an A just for thought). Claims to have 180 IQ. She is a great teacher that makes you think outside of the box. She assigns papers that her students never expect. I truly never wanted to miss any of her classes. Each one is a whole new experience. If you have the oppurtunity to take her, do it!

She will do her best to stretch your mind and let you experience the literature in the beautiful way she experiences it. She will make you love literature even if you hate it now. she is the greatest teacher at CC, you must take her class. you will learn stuff that actually matters in the world. and get a easy A, if you do all the assignments. She gives quizzes everyday on the reading, but there SUPER easy if you read, not much reading about 5-15 pages per class. I hate reading and this class was great!

The BEST PROFESSOR you could ever have. She's funny and makes the learning entertaining. Never even thought of falling asleep in her class its fun (I guess you would say) I took her course in summer, so it felt like we were reading everyday. but the stories are short and u watch like 3 movies!

Good teacher, loves what she does and it shows. If you do not like reading this class is not for you. A great load of readings to do, but very interesting stories. If you turn in your papers on time, you'll get an A. I recommend her!

She is a good teacher. Her honors classes were hard and involved a lot of reading and quizzes pretty much every class. If you dont want to work hard she is not the teacher for you.

Great Professor, will read interesting stories. Nothing that will put you to sleep. and class discussion are good. her only requirements, are show up to class everyday, cell phones off, required to read the assignments take quiz after, which are no big deal and participate in discussions .plus she tells great stories.

I took the 'course in a box" for Pre Renaisance Lit. Basicaly just read the assigned passages of the anthology and do all the required assignments within the required time period and you should pass, she is not extremely critical as far as essays go.

She is AWESOME! She gets back to you within minutes with email. Her online literature class was a breeze!

Took for express summer session online. DON'T DO IT, unless you enjoy having tons of reading,quizzes, tests, writing assignments due EVERY day. She is crazy. Hour long video lectures, created 4 or more years ago, simply re-uploaded, and they are TORTURE. Find another professor she is just way to obsessed with loads of dippy work.

I took her Lit 2120 over summer A. She is very fair. As long as you are willinging to work, you will be fine in her class. She is very smart and a no nonsense lady, but very interesting and knowledgeable. Show up, be interestered in what she teaches do assignments and you will pass with an A.

I took her 1101 class online, and got an A. She is very helpful and clear in what you need to do. Great reviews on papers and really helps you learn to write better overall. Highly recommended!

Easy A+ online class. You can work ahead although quizzes are relased each week. She takes her quizzes directly from Sparknotes, so have that pulled up when you take you quiz. I had a 98 in the class but will 11 extra credit points added to the final grade... 109%! I hate lit and and now a great writier. Just try and i bet you get an A!

Best Literature teacher I've ever had! You must read what she tells you to read and you have to look for the little details. Can be hard and time consuming, but it is a very effective way of reading, analyzing, and ultimately appreciating Literature. I cant wait to take another class with her! She also is very funny and has a sharp sense of humor!

Took online. LOVED this class! Prof is AWESOME. Its a lot of reading and writing, this was the class I had the most work in, but I learned so much & really enjoyed her choice of readings! Pay close attention to her video lectures and TAKE NOTES on them. I highly recommend taking her if you can! One of the best professors I've had so far in college.

Prof. McDonald is a great lit teacher, who is very passionate about her subject. She gives rather engaging online lectures, and although there is alot of reading and writing (duh, lit class) if you make a honest effort everyone should be fine. Her tests can b a bit tricky till u get used to her style. Her essay grading was pretty lenient though

It's an on-line literature course, & 16 weeks of assignments in 6 weeks requires a lot of work. I expected that. But, she was with us all of the way. She answered questions quickly and got our grades out. The readings were interesting and the lectures really helped. You could tell she was there to help us succeed. I loved the course.

Very interesting class =) I enjoyed it, and yes there are essays, but she is such an easy grader just make sure you get the word count right...150 for short essays and 450 for long essays and you are golden. I got an A and I can honestly say Professor McDonald was a great teacher. Just don't try to skip out on the lectures and follow directions!

I did enjoy this online-class. Tons and tons of work, but I learned more than I could ever expect. This class requires a lot of commitment and dedication to complete the home work, essays, quizzes and readings. If you want to learn about literature take this class. The lectures are not boring at all. Professor Nancy seems to be a very nice lady

She is an excellent prof, teaches content well. I took it as a 6-week online course and yes it is a lot of work, she gives extra credit and grades easy if you do the work and think on your own. Surprised myself how well I did in the course, dedication WINS.

Easy class just extremely time consuming. Literally a new lesson every two days but assignments are not difficult. Took it for the 6 week course so that might be why the amount of work is so compact, besides the extreme workload very interesting class and would recommend it.

Took this class online after receiving a "D" in the spring because I could not quite understand the readings. Best decision ever. I finished this class with an "A+" I'm glad that I took this class. Although their are long essays due periodically and numerous long readings, you will learn a lot and you will earn the grade you deserve. Take her!

The class is a great learning experience and the professor is fun. She makes the lectures worth watching. Overall you will start to get use to the class and the teacher but then your time will be up. Class is short and sweet with good lessons along the way.

If you do all of your homework you will do great. She understands that Literature is not easy to understand so if you atlas try you will do great

The textbooks and attendance are mandatory to pass this class. She is a very sweet lady and definitely understands some of the readings she assigns are hard to understand. As long as you do the work and show her that you've done the readings you'll get an A. Would definitely take this professor again! Rarely any tests and super easy final.

She comes off as being strict in the beginning, but she really just wants you to become accustomed to classroom interaction. She makes you write ridiculous essays that aren't that long, but require you to access your deep thinking as you won't find these various topics online. Overall, a good teacher who can relate to our modern- college culture.

Dr. McDonald is literally like a second mother. Extremely sweet lady, absolutely hilarious, and HIGHLY intelligent. I had her for IDH2105 and ENC1101. If you have the opportunity, take IDH2105. It's barely a class; we discuss life and it is invaluable. I would take her for every class if I could. Next to impossible to get anything but an A. Do it!

Overall, the lectures and reading assignments are long and at times tedious, but essential for passing the class.

Best English teacher by far . Extremely easy class . Do all of your assignments and you will pass . Heck its college you will have work . Essays are actually fun . Nothing hard with long research. Barley any test . Final essay she bought in cookies and had use wrote about them. Food is always a win :) wish I could keep her. Truly amazing woman

Professor McDonald is an amazing teacher. I learned so much through extremely interesting assignments (this is a composition class so you should expect several essays). Also, Professor McDonald cares about your grade but you do have to earn it. Overall she is a great person and teacher and at the end of the semester you will be glad you took her.

For Western Literature it's just a lot of work and reading. It's by no means difficult it's just time consuming. Overall though it is a very easy class to get an A in.

I understand its a literature class, but WOW.. the amount of reading and assignments was insane. I am struggling to maintain an A in the class. Would not take her again.

Professor Mcdonald is truly passionate about her teachings, which makes the class that much more enjoyable. The readings were interesting, and for the ones that were difficult to understand she made to hold your hand so you honestly aren't left hanging.
