Mrs.Olsen is a very refreshing class; however if you don't like doing a lot of work, you know actually earning your grade then don't bother taking her class. With all the work she gives you it's hard not to pass her class. She's always in her office hours and very helpful.

She is one of those cool teachers who always makes small joke in class.She is also clear about her lectures, if you had a problem understanding it she would help you out. But never come late to her classes or she marks you absent and your only allowed 4 absences. And always do your homework and do well on all the test including the vocab every week

This teacher is clear and simple in subject, if you don't understand something she will help you understand. Gives extra credits like, office visits, ect. Of course, like any other good class you would have to do work, but you will finish that class with something in your head about reading that will help you in your other classes and future life

She's a pretty cool, laidback teacher. Her grading seemed a little tough but she did it for our own good. She has a very open mind, don't be afraid to tell her how you're feeling about an assignment. Make sure you type everything. I wasn't looking forward to this class at all but it really wasn't so bad. I'd recommend her. :)

The final project was a 2 page paper. She's open to change. She kind of lets the class decide. A lot of in class discussion. Always interesting. She's the best!

One of the greatest teacher. She's very understanding and fun. There's about 3-4 vocab test and about 2-3 midterms. Trust me, it's not hard. Anyone is able to pass. You need the require book for her class for homework. Gives out alot of extra credit points. I passed the class with an A. I would recommend taking her.

I absolutely loved this teacher. She is super and I passed the class very easily. She is always willing to clarify misunderstandings and help students pass. She gave 5 vocab unit test and a few other test on topic, thesis, pattern of organization, etc. all of which are easy if you pay attention and take notes in class. I Highly recommend her!

This professor teaches more than just subject matter. She engages us as individuals, and also teaches the proper steps to become better at studying English, along with lessons that will help in real life situations. I am thoroughly impressed with her as a student, and look fwd to learning more from her in the future!

Dr. Olsen is the definition of the energizer bunny. She always come to class energetic and brings the atmosphere up. Be prepared to get to know all your neighbors. If you do all the reading and the homework = Easy A

If you are not a morning person, I wouldn't recommend taking her in the morning. She makes you move around a lot and get to know your neighbor. She's a good prof. She cares; sometimes a little too much, but she does.

She is a easy teacher. No doing homework on text book only reading and answer easy question that she assign you to do. Attendance is mandatory or you will lose points. Great teacher nothing hard and she make sure you understand her very well if you don't you can come by to her office for better understanding in class.

This is a legit teacher. One that you actually learn something from attending. She makes you work for your grade in the beginning but towards the end assignments and class work ends up being easier. She makes class interesting and is really approachable. I personally hate reading but her reading assignment are interesting and worth reading.

Prof O is a great teacher. Very knowledgeable and diplomatic. Attendance is mandatory, but she makes class fun. I learned a lot from her class and liked her on a personal level. I had to take her for the reading lab and she was super nice and helpful. She let me bring in the 2012 voter handbook and I got a bunch of hours reading something I wanted.

CLASS A professor, period. She is helpful, patient, knowledgeable, passionate about her class and teaching her students.She is very funny, easy going, expects you to do your job just as much as she does hers, which does us very well!! There's a big load of reading, but every step of the way is a learning experience with Dr. Olsen. Simply AMAZING!!!

Dr.O is an amazing teacher. Her vocab tests aren't like the other English reading classes I have taken. I only had to buy 1 book so yeah! It's really easy to pass her class but really easy to fall behind in class. She gets everyone involved in discussions. Her lectures are not boring. One advice don't text in her class.

She's the best English teacher I've had. She cares about her students and that's pretty rare for a college professor. To me, her class had a lot of reading. They're mostly articles and you annotate. A LOT. Every homework assignment seemed like it was annotating. She gives a few vocab tests as well. Heads up, she does call on students randomly.

You can really tell this professor will do everything to help her students pass. She gives many chances to help you succeed in her class and is really understandable. She will have you participate someday. You do annotate a lot though. But the practice tests she gives out are exactly the same as the real test which helps out a lot.

One of the best professors at Sac city! The course isn't easy but the way she teaches makes it easy to follow. She truly does care about her student and wants them to succeed. Professor Olsen has an unique way teaching. Her class is interesting and fun. She cares about her students, and if you work hard, she will work just as hard to help you. She will call on you for your opinion on the topic at hand. The reading is complexed, but by the end of semester you will be able to read any college level book.

Dr. O was my first English Writing professor and I couldn't have asked more: she gives you every chance to do well, but she's no push over. She uses what some students may deem very high level reading material, but she creates a practical framework to understand how to approach it all. Above all she is the best and you will love her.

Easiest English class you will ever take. No test, and only 1 big paper (but she guides you through it step by step). She makes her own textbook using articles and there is a lot of reading, annotating, and discussing in class. She makes sure everyone participates, but it is really no big deal. Truly the easiest class I've ever taken.

Dr. Olsen has been, by far, my most beloved teacher at Sac City. Not only did she instruct me on how to write a research paper, she also made learning fun and exciting. My favorite Professor, she's so caring! Enjoyed this class so much, I enrolled in Dr.O's ENGRD310. There's weekly homework, and about 7 writing essay assignments throughout the semester. No exams. Free online textbook. She always teaches you information before expecting you to understand it which I appreciated. Def take her if you can!

I wish I could keep taking classes with Dr.O because she's my favorite! She gives clear instructions and constructive feedback. She allows you to fix your mistakes by resubmitting things and allows extra credit opportunities. We had to read a book this semester and discussed in groups each chapter. No mid-term or final.

She was a great teacher. There was a routine for the class so you'll know what each week looks like. She is a very nice and has great things to say about our work. We have a weekly announcement and that's her opportunity to get to know the students as it was an online class. She unlocks modules for later weeks if you want to get it done early.

A prof that wants you to pass & cares for your wellbeing. Her online class was fairly outline w/ 5-6 assignments wkly. Her asgnmnts really sets you up for success, so if you put in the work every wk, you will do well. Prof O understands that sometimes life happens, therefore she created a late policy to help her students map out their situation.

Definitely recommend taking Prof. O's ENGWR 302 class. The biggest assignments we had were 2 essays but she broke them down to make it easier on students. Amazing late policy and she's very understanding. Gives good feedback and gives you a chance to fix anything if needed. Attendance isn't mandatory but you do receive credit for attending.

Professor Olsen is such a kind and caring person and this shows throughout her teaching! I took ENGWR301 and I thought it was an enjoyable and interesting class. There is a lot of reading (it's an english class? what do you expect?) but the readings are entertaining enough to get you through the semester. Annotate/Summarize!! It helps you & ask Qs!

I really liked Dr. Olsen. She is very caring and is available during office hours for questions. I found this course to be easy and I enjoyed writing a myth as my final paper. It's an easy A if you do the work.

One of the most caring professors I have ever encountered, easy class but I feel like I still learned a lot. Two discussion board posts, annotations, a video, and announcement every week. She makes wonderful little videos for her students to update us about anything each week, providing a really great personal component to the online course.

I was so scared to take this course because its English and I'm not very good at it but she is an amazing professor and this is the first time in my life I've gotten an A in an English class. It is a bit reading heavy but the book is SO amazing and actually worth reading. It's more of a psychology book than your regular English book+no essays!

She's a great professor! The coursework is organized and consistent, and the assignments are consistent and pretty easy. There is LOTS of extra credit available and she's an easy grader, so this class is perfect if you're taking it as a gen ed. She did encourage AI use for citing works, which can be a red flag, but overall her class was really fun.
