Great teacher! Come to class, participate, take notes, and do the study guides and you will ace the class.

Interesting class. Very nice. Curves tests and always has some form of extra credit. All tests are open note, open book...open everything (except for computer and person). If you get the study guide to the book you'll be fine. Loved the class

She's a bit boring but don't let her fool you! She's really a cool teacher and gives lots of extra credit. I recommend getting the study guide book that goes along with the book, I just filled in those and I have a 96 in the course because I studied that and I went to class once a week. Just because its open book doesnt mean her tests are easy.

Her lectures are kind of boring but tests are open book so its pretty easy. Go to class and highlight what she goes over in the book and you will be fine. Gives lots of extra credit opportunities.

Very wonderful taecher. She is very easy to take. If you got o class with your book and highlight everything she says, then there would be no problem. What she talks about in calss is exactly what is on the test. I made an easy A. Definitely take her!!

Great lecturer and class was good and there was opportunities to improve your grade but I was surprized at how 2 faced this teacher was.Comes off as pleasant but is very bitter when your back is turned. She will act as she likes you when she doesn't at all. Very dissapointing. I would have given this teacher a perfect rating but that ruined it.

Not sure what that last rating was about, because I thought this lady was very nice. She was very patient, even when people were rude to her in class. Gives lots of extra credit.

Her class can be interesting since she lets the students discuss things openly. The outlines she provides online are very handing for note taking. The test are open book, but you need to read the material before the test. She also gives ample extra credit for each test. Make sure you go to class.

This professor gave a lot of extra credit so it was pretty easy to repair any damage on your grade that testing can sometimes cause. Tests are open book but you MUST read the material first and conceptualize quite a bit. Overall, a very interesting class with a very helpful professor. She wants you to do well.

If you have to take this class and you don't pick Nancy Ray then you might as well not take it. period.

Awesome teacher....go to class and print out her outlines is a guaranteed A. Don't have to take the final if you have an A before it. Open book open note tests with an outline that goes right in order with the test. Fill out the outline in great detail and you'll get an A.

Great teacher, go to class. She is really nice and the tests and assignments are easy, but seriously go to class. She gives mad Extra Credit, but she is a little boring. It's a pretty easy A but I didn't go to class, so thats why I keep saying go to class!

Definetly take Ms. Ray. She is a lawyer in Greenville and she knows what she is talking about when teaching this class. Also, buy the book b/c all her tests are open book. Go to class b/c she gives attendance quizzes. You do not need to answer any questions, just arrive and sit there. We always got out early too.

Ms. Ray is awesome. She knows what she is talking about. Attendance is not mandatory, but she does give random attendance quizzes and talks about laws specific to North Carolina that WILL be on the tests. Tests are open note/open book. Her class can get kind of boring, but she lets you out early pretty much every class. TAKE HER!

Ms.Ray was a very good professor who was ethusiastic about the material. All the notes were online in outlines, so all you have to do is fill them in class. Tests are open book & open note, plus she gives a lot of extra credit. Take her, easy A!

This teacher was amazing! Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Her class is TOO easy. Attendance not mandatory but if you don't miss any days and have an A avg on tests you can be exempt from her final. Plenty of extra credit opportunities before and after tests. All tests are open book.

Seriously, there is no reason why you should not make an A in this class. Easy 100 for attendance, write about a court case (like two paragraphs) for a 100, and her tests are open-book, though there are 50 questions and the class is only 50 minutes. But go to class and takes notes-you can use those on the test too. Dr. Ray is such a sweet professor

She is a great teacher! Class can be both boring and interesting but every once in a while you get extra credit for going. All tests are open book and the quizzes are gone over before handed in; only two projects required: court case summary out of the textbook and a paper about your experience when attending court for 2 hours. Overall easy class!

First off i want to say if you want an easy A take this class. Just go to class write down the notes on the board and maybe somethings she says, tests r take home online so u can use ur book and notes and internet. My friend slept through the class all year and got an A

Test are hard & the notes you take in her class kinda go with the test. You need to have a good understanding of the cases in each chapter for her tests. However, she gives extra a TON of extra credit after her test that could add an additional 10 points to each test & sometimes all you have to do is show up the day after the test which are online

Everyone said this class was easy so I signed up for the class with Ms. Ray. She definitely made the test harder but they're not extremely hard I got a B in the class just by going to class and taking notes. The book is very useful because you will not get all of the notes from class since she moves fast. Overall I recommend this class with her.

I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed Professor Ray's class. I don't agree with those people who said that her class was hard. You have to work but you learn the material. I think those who say it is hard, don't study. but college isn't supposed to be a breeze. She is definitely a great teacher and I would highly recommend her to other people.

All test are online, very easy class! Should easily get an A or B at worst!

All of the tests are online and you are allowed to use your notes and text books. Some of the material is a little confusing, so get used to using the table of contents! As long as you take notes and pay attention in class, this should be an A! You are required to go to the court house and sit in on a case/trial and write up a summary for it, but nothing drastic. I would recommend her to anyone!

She is a great teacher and very nice. All the test are online open book open notes. You go to court for one hour and do a paper as the only other assignment in the entire class. She is very helpful and an easy class thats understandable.

I absolutely adored Ms. Ray! Her grading and classroom policies are extremely fair. She obviously loves her work and knows the material. She makes real effort to make the material more interesting and relatable to students. I would definitely take her again!

Not being familiar with any type of law prior to this class, it was a little tough for me, however Ms. Ray offered so much help. She is very organized and quick to respond to any emails. Her online lectures for notes are very helpful, especially when reviewing for tests. Would like to have her for another class!

One of the best teachers ive had at ECU. Such a nice lady makes the class interesting and is funny and is very understanding with assignments. Attendance isn't mandatory but you sometimes have pop quizzes that you use your notes on then she gives you the right answer. Would definitely recomend this lady

The way she presented the class was fantastic. Every single lecture & discussion bd. & writing assignment was posted to begin with so you could work at your own pace. Quizzes & tests were posted several weeks before due date. Tests were easy-- she gave plenty of time. I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it-- to my surprise.

Nancy Ray is one of the best professors I've had at ECU. She is a really nice lady and she makes class interesting with her sense of humor. She is always there for students. I think this is one of the best teachers that I will ever have. Im not a traditional student and sometimes I need things spelled out for me to catch the concept, and she did this. Her dignity, clear knowledge of the material, and side jokes made the class an all time favorite of mine. I wish I could take it again.. Go Navy!

Ms. Ray is a wonderful teacher. You only get around 3 homework assignments in the semester. She gives out extra credit out after every test. I recommend going to her classes because there are certain things she says in class that is not in the book for the tests. All the tests are open book but i would read the chapter over. Take this class!!!

Great teacher, very fair grading and easy assignments. Be careful of how you complete assignments and follow directions exactly or she will give you a zero. other than that, she provides recorded lectures and outlines for quizzes, which are really simple anyway. dont really need the book.

Easy A if you follow her instructions. You only get to write 3 papers throughout the sem, but make SURE that you read and follow the instructions or else you'll get a ZERO. Very smart lawyer/teacher. You can tell that shes very passionate on what she does. Quizzes and Tests arent hard if you listen to her recorded lectures.

This professor made this class super super easy. She posts note outlines on blackboard and you fill them in during her lecture in class. The tests are open note so the note outlines you fill out in class are important. I would recommend this professor for sure

Great prof! Except a weekly discussion board to mark attendance, weekly quizzes and several papers. The exams are harder than the quizzes and count for more. Prof did give extra credit and freebie questions on exams. Prof excepts you to read the textbook but does have lectures posted. Easy class if you do the work.

Offer 10 pts extra credit for every test. Sometimes does "quizzes" that aren't graded, but instead used as attendance. Book can HELP but I made a B + without it. All tests are open note and final is optional. TAKE NOTES DURING HER LECTURES. LOVES people that participate and answer questions. Make sure you have the RIGHT case for the case assignment

Professor Ray is a 10/10! She's hilarious and very straight forward with what she expects from the beginning. There is a textbook for the class, but as long as you go to class you really don't need to buy it.

Has a dry sense of humor but is very kind. Writing assignments can be tough but she lets you turn them in early and will give feedback for revisions.

Prof Ray is very knowledgeable of law, she has a great sense of humor as well. Do the weekly outlines and quizzes together and you're sure to pass. The papers aren't too bad if you start in advance, mostly opinion based. Overall, I learned a lot for a non-law student. If you need help just ask for it, she's great!

Ms. Ray has a been a lovely and wonderful professor. She is very sweet and has a dry, albeit funny, sense of humor. She makes the material interesting. Take notes as she lectures and your golden. Responds to questions quickly.

I nearly chose inspirational. Ms Ray is courteous and professional. She has a sense of humor and great personality. She gives great feedback if you ask for it. She offers recorded lectures (clear and helpful), outlines, and a variety of interesting choices for discussion (interaction not needed, but good reading). Heavy on reading.

If you are in Finance, take her online course, I heard the IRL class is easy too but the online was actually the best. Only 2 writing assignments and super easy quizzes w/ multiple tries and discussion boards.

I really enjoyed taking this class even though it was online she seems like a very chill person and graded pretty easily, essentially, I don't know how people would get a bad grade in this exact class.

The online version of this class is pretty minimal in difficulty. Light work and interesting topics. definitely take the class online with this professor if you can. It's a good GPA booster and the amount of work is light.

Professor Ray's class is an interesting mix - dry humor but engaging lectures. The material can be challenging, but with consistent attendance and using unstuck AI for extra prep, you can do well. Overall, a solid course.

If you can take Ms. Ray please do! Her lecture videos are very clear and easy to understand. Her assignments consist of tests, quizzes, discussions, and small writing assignments. She even gives extra credit points through email like watching a movie or video for points. If she is teaching any future course I need, I will register for her section.
