Professor Taylor is the most awesome instructor. She really knows her stuff, and I actually look forward to going to class.

WONDERFUL WOMAN AND TEACHER! This is a great class and I really got a lot out of it. She is patient, funny and passionate about her students and teaching.

This class is a joke, it feels like your in high school all over again. i would recommend this class to everyone until the day i die. prof taylor is so nice and is so easy, you literally write a weekly response. no test at all, no final, just one group project. best class i ever took best prof too

very dedicated to help kids pass.i was intimidated at first them warmed up.i had fun, i didn't even know i was learning. before taking this class i was dreding it, then it was the reason why i came to school.highly recommended.

I loved her. She was very nice and very hellful. She really wants you to succeed in her class. Always there when you have questions. I would advise her as a definite teacher.

All I need to say about this teacher is in one word..EXCELLENT! Very Understanding teacher and she teaches in fun way! Classes are taught in the "learning through discussion" style. Several short/simple papers (both reflective and analytical). Encourages student participation through group projects and online forums. Values feedback.

Prof. Taylor is all for humanities and kids passing. The class is more of a "self-discovery" type class. Responses you turn in are solely your personal opinion on the topic. Very funny lectures/discussions. Definately worth taking

Taylors class is not only interesting but also very informative. It opens your eyes to the arts of the humanities. I definitly would recomend this class to everyone. If you can take the class online cuz it's pretty easy!

She's pretty laid back and easy, you just gotta make sure you remember to do the online assignments and make sure you do at least the word minimum--shes really cool

Wonderful lady, wonderful professor. I loved her class and I love her! She's funny and she gives really interesting reading/writing assignments. Plus, she's always willing to speak with you in office hours, write letters of recommendation, and help you outside of class by email or meetings. She's great!

Relatively easy class. Online class is extremely convenient, as we never had to meet in person. All of the work was done from home. Pretty interesting subject. Professor Taylor is very cool. She addresses her students like she is one of them.

The class is easy! A lot of writing but it's not hard!! Taylor is a good teacher! She's sooo passionate about English it makes you interested in it too!

Online class was fairly easy- getting on the chat was a bit of a pickle but once you get going, things are great. She has awesome sense of humor and is easy to contact- homework is not hard but she loves English so you have to try- don't BS- MAKE SURE YOU get involed in chatting because she will love you for it. No final! No tests! A+++

This class was a wonderful experience. I learned a lot. There was a bit of work to keep up with but it was fair and the professor was quite supportive. I am planning to take her English 300 OL

Always there for her students. An easy AND fun class. Mainly consists of discussions and all opinions are accepted. Essays are easily graded as long as you put some effort and thought into them. Essays are usually short and easy. No final.

You will become a bibliophile after taking an online class with her. It's done online, so there are no rules. There are responses to the readings, and a midterm, but No FINAL...plus she's great! I recommend it!

Best English Teacher ever!!!!!!

If you need GE and are not willing to travel to Northridge. Log On to the internet and take English 300 with Nancy Taylor. There is a midterm and a couple of postings plus a presentation and you've got to be in the chatroom, but I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to read interesting stories and get credit for it. It's a great class.

A lot of writing you, but she is very nice, supportive and love to help students. one of great think-tanks i met @ csun. Stuff she teaches make human think sooo deeply. Awesome experience. I serioulsy i want to take Taylor's every class but i don't have enough money and time. ha ha Take her if you like to think and be great mind

Contemporary Lit. online was a blast! Taylor has the greatest line up of novels and assignments. Just don't miss any, but that aren't that hard. If you love to read and can write fairly well, you will love this course. And the final project was a blast!!

I took this course online. The professor was great. The assignments were not difficult; however, they were time consuming. She was an excellent instructor. I loved the way she responded so I would definitely recommend this class to anyone.

I dunno, she's a great teacher but whenever I emailed her questions about the online course she never responded. Maybe it's my bad luck.

She is awesome! Learning and having a bit of fun at the same time doesn't hurt. Highly recommended.

Her class is very interesting. The Webct assignments are very easy, no mid-term or final, and her four major papers are very simple.

I just took humanities to fulfill a g.e. but i'm definetely glad i took it with nancy. she's really cool and she plays that mean, intense professor at first but is mad cool. she's relaxed, easy grader, no final, no midterms, 4 or 5 midterms. and weekly webct postings. very nice and helpful as well. not a lot of reading either

Professor Taylor is awesome. She really makes the class interesting because she is so interested in the topics. The assignments are really fun. You're supposed to read the chapters but you'll be safe if you don't. WebCT posts, and essays on turnitin.com. Discussion in groups as well as the entire class. Definitely take her if you can, she's great.

Professor Taylor is an excellent, funny, hepful, and overall superbteacher. Her ability to make the class fun, helps you to understand. Assignments are turnitin.com but its super easy. Work is online in advance so you know what you need to do in advance. I have taken her three of her classes and am taking Eng.300 with her again.Excellent Teacher

ENG 300oL and ENG 364 oL Nancy is a great English teacher -- she offers intelligent feedback, and has fun assignments. You have weekly posts, answer to five students (3-4 sentences), and a final that you work on with other students (all online!). Good Stuff. If you like Short Stories and Lit, you'll most def enjoy these courses.

Really really easy class.About 1-2 discussions due at the end of ea. week, plus a 2 sentence response to at least 5 other postings. I didn't really need the book you only need the Siddhartha & Tao teachings in order to do some small papers. EASY A!!!

easy easy A. 3 short simple papers. all you need to buy is the siddhartha book. dont waste your money on the humanities book, you really dont use it. i would definitely take another one of her classes. good gpa booster.

Awesome professor. Assignments are clear, a paper, a midterm and a final project. Books are enjoyable! Chat is mandatory for online class...pretty easy though. Take her!

I took both her English class and HUM 101. She is an amazing teacher. you learn a lot from her. There are lots of activities in her HUM 1o1 online class, but if you do the work and put the effort you will get an A. Totally recommend her, she is one of the bests in CSUN.

Great teacher! The class is pretty easy..although you don't really know your grade until the end. Although she doesn't provide much feedback, she encourages her students a lot. The great thing about her class is that you get to share your opinions. Online chat is mandatory for her online class.

This teacher was the best! I actually learned new things while making my life easy. There are usually 2discusions for week but they are SO easy and then you have to coment of 5of your peers.There are 3or 4 major papers but they are SUPER EASY!!! I loved This class. Take the Class you won't regrete it. Just do your work and you'll get an A

I took this class online and it was really nice! The class is very nature/environmentally based and is pretty easy. If taken online, you have responses to peers and 3 main papers to write. She dropped 2 assignments since there wasn't much time left in the semester. If you want a nice and easy class, TAKE HER! (WPE prep mostly)She's very sweet!!

She is an awesome and understanding teacher. Don't use your cell phone. I never missed her class because she took attendance all the time. She is also a teacher that you can ask for advice from. A lot work but worth the A. Do all the work and you will pass. Take her.

OMG!!! took this class online and it was the best class ive ever taken...she has little involvement in the class because it is structured so well..this class has helped improve my life 10 fold..dont take this class for an easy A..take this class with the purpose of learning..i was only fulfilling this class for a GE. wish i could take another

I took this class online & am very glad for it. Professor Taylor is very clear in what she expects & what improvements she is looking for in each draft of the major papers. Follow her suggestions & you will do well. No textbook necessary & the assignments are based on very interesting subjects; I enjoyed the writing. I would take her class again.

Best online class ever. She explains everything clearly and assigns work to improve your writing style. I learned a lot and also did well in the class. Stay updated with her assignments and it is an easy A. Theres about 5 essays total and discussion forums throughout the semester.

I actually loved how Professor Taylor ran the course. Very well organized and assignments were scheduled ahead of time. My only complaint is she is not very active in the course. She really didn't check in with the class until half way into the semester. She does not really respond to questions right away.Other than that she is a great professor.

VERY EASY CLASS. Shes super clear about what she wants. Weekly moodle posts & 4 major essays. No tests. Gets back to emails in a timely manner. The class was online and if you do the work theres no worries about your grade. She isnt very active in the course at all, rarely sent out emails but the syllabus and calendar have everything.

Great, easy class with clear and precise instructions. She is not very quick in response to emails but when she does respond she is very clear in her answers. Class based mostly on discussion boards and 3 essays. The essays were easy to understand and get done. I enjoyed the class and would take her again.

This is my second time taking Professor Taylor and it was just as good the second time around. She doesn't require a book for 305 and I still have yet to find any other online professor that is better structured than she is. She gives feedback on essays and ultimately wants to see you grow as a writer. You won't be sorry if you take her.

Easiest Upper GE class taken at CSUN. Professor Taylor is nice and helpful. The class alone was easy weekly reading and writing assignments. Make sure you turn them in on time or do them before the due date and you will pass the class with a high grade.

Her online class was well organized, easy to understand and most if the discussions were very interesting. I would definitely take her again.

Professor Taylor is an awesome English instructor.I took her for Contemporary Literature & Short Story. Both classes were online, & were clear, organized, engaging, & I did not have trouble following instructions on assignments. There are about two posts required every week, 5 short comments, & 2 major papers. Take her!! You won't regret it.

Great professor who really tried to engage students into deeper class discussions. Class was super chill, you need the book in class, or you could share with your group. No tests, just essays.

Would recommend to anyone. Professor enjoys student engagement with other students and is very dedicated to what she teaches. Great course.

This is my third time taking her and she is truly an amazing professor. Her goal is for us to become better writers and one way to do that is through reading. Her selection is good and the assignments are interesting. On top of that, she is the most organized online professor! If you haven't taken her yet, you are truly missing out.

She is amazing! Wonderful professor. As a graduating senior, she was one of the best professors I have taken at CSUN. Clear, responds quickly, and as long as you do your work you will pass with a good grade!

Just post in weekly discussions and try on the 3 essays and you will get an A. She is an awesome professor and a generous grader. She will give you feedback on your essays which help you become a better writer. Im not very good at writing but two hours of work a week got me an A. Don't even know what she looks like, but NANCY FOR PRESIDENT

The class consists of going through eras in art history and evaluating works of art with a group. You don't have to know what you are talking about in the discussion because there are some who get away with rambling nonsense. There is an online element that basically pats others on the back for talking about art. Caring professor that loves art.

The easiest class you will ever have! I was packing on six classes during spring semester and thought I was going to collapse. Luckily, this class was the best to fall back on (still kept up, obviously). 3 main essays, easy as can be. Only 3/4 pages. TAKE HER IF YOU GET THE CHANCE! She makes the class enjoyable. Attendance is a part of your grade!!

if you're an English major this class should be pretty simple. A response is due each week (300 words), there are 4 books I think (2 novels, 1 poetry, 1 short story) and we had to write a 1200 word essay for each. She has good taste in books except for "Casual Vacancy" by J K Rowling, that book pissed me off and it was dumb long.

Discussion and Feedbacks are the only homework you MUST do, or else it can really bring your grade down. Few essay requirements, but no more than 2. The only downfall is her lack of communication through email, sent her email asking about my grade never ever got a response even until the end of semester. So just do the work and you'll pass.

Prof Taylor is THE BEST. She's hilarious. 2 papers and 1 final paper. Canvas discussion posts and 3 replies to classmates. Very easy, but you learn a lot. Textbook lightly used, just use at the library if you can. Buy Illusions - it is cheap. Takes attendance.

I agree with the others, she doesn't post any grades all semester so you don't really know and that's frustrating. But I did enjoy the class, as long as you do the weekly assignments and essays you should be good. It definitely is a lot of reading and writing, but it's an english class. I loved the novel she assigned, All The Light We Cannot See.

This is a very easy class. Every week we had two-three discussions and we had to reply to three other students. She provided an online book for us to read/ reference in the discussions. There were no tests, but we had three short essays. She responds very quickly to emails. However, she does not make grades visible on Canvas. Highly recommended!
