easy professor if you do the hw and take good notes
Not bad...boring and redundant. Lecture is useless (notes online)
So boring...lecture is useless, my particular TA was more useless (X. Tang)
boring and hard tests
everything is online, tests are identical in format to tests online
VERY boring, can study by yourself online. TA's and workshops are more helpful

Notes online, lecture useless
No Comments
Good & extensive notes. Not too exciting, but not bad. She loves her subject!
Fair tests but did not explain course material very well. Took her lectures directly out of the book.
lecutres are pretty pointless, but her tests are predictable. no surprises. got an A in the class.
SO BORING, Tests not hard, but very long.
Lectures were so incredibly boring. I found myself sleeping through all of them. Her tests are predictable though- just like the practice midterms.
BORING! Lecture is useless but atleast the notes are online. I stopped going to class after a while.
lectures organized. teaches really fast. tests and grading fair/easy
Lectures are useless and boring. Tests are easy and straight forward. If you've taken ap chem the class is real easy.
She's pretty easy...and her tests won't give you too much of a headache. An easy teacher and she presents the material very well (and it's CHE 2a, simple stuff =P ). I'd recommend her.
Not to bad of a class. Pretty boring. It was pretty difficult but the curve brought my grade up to an A. Just make sure you do better than everyone else.
Direct with expectations, clear with material, organized
she doesn't teach anything. it's a boring class. her tests are hard.
She is VERY boring, but laughs a lot when she does experiments during lectures. She tries to be clear and fair, but is only probably fair. Midterms get excellent curves. Expect to work hard, but review a lot from AP Chemistry.
does not explain things very well but overall is not too difficult
Lectures are a bunch of jibber-jabber if you actually manage to stay awake. Practice midterms help, nice online notes.
she grades on a curve and the curve is really nice. notes posted online. lectures very boring.
rambles a little in her lectures, but online notes are the greatest-her lectures follow the notes exactly. tests are more complicated than the practice midterms she gives online, so study hard
no comment
She loves and knows her material, so she can answer any questions I have. Lectures are funny when she does experiments. The practice midterms are similar to the real ones.
boring!!! she does not make the class even worth going to. online notes are nice, but keeps you from not attending lecture.
She is a nice person. Her tests are really, really hard. But, her lecture notes are very concise and clear. (You don't have to read the book to understand). Do all the homework and the practice exams... be prepared for some hard questions on the exams.
Online notes are a plus. Her lectures can be a bit dull, but otherwise, the class is good. Do the practice midterms and finals religiously, and you'll do fine in the course.
Although online notes are helpful, they don't cover the more difficult example problems. Her lectures are SOOOOOOOO BORING!!! MY GOD!!! SHE SPEAKS IN FRIGGIN' MONOTONE!!! IMPOSSIBLE TO STAY AWAKE OR LEARN!!!
Very boring lectures, monotone voice; hard tests; huge curves; need more hard example questions so we can understand the material and prepare for the exams
She can't teach! Just read the lecture notes and do the practice exams and you should be fine!
some of the info in true's lectures is much clearer than in the book, but she can be a confusing at times. it's hard to know what material to expect on the tests for free response sections.
Lectures weren't stimulating, but explained material well. Posts all lecture notes online, I recommend studying them instead of the textbook. Tests closely follow sample tests.
Bah! She is, by far, one of the worst teachers I have had. She goes on rants, boasting her own mastery of chemistry by relating useless facts and random first year college physics interjections to scare the children...a solid waste.
She is very BORING at her lectures, but her lecture notes clear everything up you need to learn in her class. Don't waste time on reading the chapters, lecture notes explain them all. Tests are fairly easy if you STUDY for them.

Boring, ineffectual teacher. But nice legs.
She was a really cool professor. Her lecture notes were really helpful, examples made a lot of sense, tests had a huge curve, and she likes to bring stuff to play with like liquid nitrogen and hydrogen+oxygen to play with as a demo during lecture. =)
If you can stay awake through her lectures, bravo to you. Very dry, but clear. Looking at the book helps.
Tests are very easy as long as you study for them. Almost identical to practice exams. Lecture is a little boring, but at times she does things to change it up a little bit.
Though lectures were not the most exciting, the information provided made Chem make sense. Tests nearly mirrored the sample exams. Lecture notes posted online, and quite possibly the best part of the class. Demos livened up the lecture some.

It takes eager chemists to stay awake in her lectures. However, exams are easy and all the lecture notes are online!! So u can sleep right through the lectures and still be able to keep up.
lectures are okay. she's very monotonous, so though i stay awake, my mind can start to fall asleep. but she seems like a nice person. last midterm pretty similar to practice exam but longer and a few more twists...dont underestimate...
zzzzzz.... its a class where she teaches the techniques of falling asleep.. her lectures are boring.. even though she occasionally brings in props to do demos and all... i barely go to class coz i can just sleep on my bed instead. however, her notes are very clear and its great they're online.:P
This class is very difficult. The lectures are so boring and she has a droning voice that definitely puts you to sleep. Thank goodness the lectures are posted online so you can read them when you've woken up later on in the day.
It is hard to stay awake in this class. She's good at talking people to sleep. Monotonous voice... zzzzzz...
Lemme just give you a couple quotes from Nancy True: "I try not to put questions on the test that I don't know." "Let's pretend I didn't do that." "It's kind of like a spinning top. Only not." Just to give you an idea. Her lectures are boring, I suggest just doing the Aggie crossword during class
Skip the class and read the lectures online. If I go to class I sleep through it, and I haven't opened my book yet and still have a B (don't read online lectures, either) = easy class.
wow,i thought i didn't have a big wardrobe, but nancy, she only has one outfit.blue jeans, a black turtle neck, black belt,& black boots & i thought comb overs were out.hmm maybe it's just me. rambles about stuff & then says "but you don't need to know that." so what was the point of lecture again?
A dry lecturer, but she clearly outlays things. She does seem to care about the students and how they find the tests. If you can read the textbook and stay awake during the lectures, you should do allright. She does tend to talk a lot about things that aren't directly relevent, so doublecheck.
she's a pretty good professor, lectures are kind of boring, and she does explain irrelevent material. but she's really helpful during office hours and her tests are pretty easy
Do everything you can to get a different professor. In her lectures, she simply mentions things that you might find on the final, and then she doesnt tell you how to find them. Very hard to stay awake during the class. The only good thing about the class is the curve.
DO NOT go to any lectures, study on ur own at her notes is 100x better. totally useless lectures..and ZZZzz at all time. Exams ain't so bad, she gives easiest exams out of all other chem2A professors. but it ain't that easy.
SHe is such a boring lecturer!!!! I hardly ever went to class because she posts her notes online and then basically reads off of them during lecture. One good thing is that she posts her notes online and they are pretty clear.
Difficult, but that's how the class is intended to be. If you have a hard time with Chem in this class, you'll have a hard time with Chem in any class. She has a funny nerdy personality, although could explain better. There's also potential for the best curve you've ever seen.
Nice online notes and wonderful curve on tests. I could do just as well without her. I've mostly learned from the book and practice problems. This is the only class I fall asleep in because it's so dry. She likes to spend half the class on a topic and then say "oh, you don't need to know this."
I wasn't impressed by the lextures, but she makes up for it by putting her notes online. The curve is gorgeous, because everyone else is a moron. It really depends on wether you get a good TA or not.
Lectures are boring beyond belief. With how she teaches, you can just read the book before the test and do fine. She goes over a million examples which is nice, but boring after a while. Good TAs make the lab part easy. Tests aren't really hard, but you have to know what you are doing.
Lectures are monotone, and you can sometimes just read her posted lecture notes in case you miss class. Definitely pray for a good TA so labs arent bad and discussions are helpful. The book can be very helpful if you get lost in lecture
Very boring lectures. I would fall asleep at the 9am section 4 out of 5 times. She does post her lecture on the web for easy access. Pray for a good TA.
wow she is boring. her tests arent bad though, just study. read the lec notes online and do the practice exams as well as prac problems from the book that she assigns. forget lecture...you dont need it.

Her lectured were BORING! Fell asleep a couple times, so attend class with some energy. Exams were challenging. Problems were confusing, so do the practice exams and the HARDEST exercise problems in the book. Overall, class is hard if you fall behind, so don't! BTW- class averages for exams were low
Her lectures are really boring. I didn’t learn anything from her lectures! Also don’t rely much on her practice midterms because they are not similar to the real test. Just do all the problems she assigns and you should be fine.
A nice woman; two people I know were sick when they took a midterm, and she helped them out. Just learn the material when she lectures on it. It's difficult to learn her material the day before an exam. Overall, a decent lecturer.
Professor True is a fantastic professor - I enjoyed all of her lectures. She puts a great deal of time and energy into ensuring the students learn as much as possible.Tests are fair, but difficult - put your all into it, and you'll do well. I did!!!:)
BASICALLY EVERYTHING SHE SAYS IN LECTURE ARE RIGHT FROM HER POSTED NOTES ONLINE. I WONDER WHY PEOPLE EVEN GO TO LECTURE, SO DONT FREAK OUT IF U HAPPEN TO MISS A LECTURE, CUZ ITS ALL GOOD IN THE HOOD. HER PRACTICE MIDTERMS ARE NOT MUCH HELP SINCE SHE BlTCH SLAPS U WITH A DIFF TEST ON THE REAL ONES.
Lectures are unfathomably boring, but she does test you on what she teaches. My advice...do the homework and I mean do ALL the practice problems...you'll regret it on the midterms. Just pray you get an easy lab TA.
class is pretty straight forward. notes are all online, just work at your own pace. do the hw or else u'll be stressing when midterms and final come around.
Lecture a bit boring. Has good online notes. Hint: do all the homework problems and practice tests.
True's printable online notes make up for boring lectures. They are very helpful for understanding and studying. Tip: do all assigned work, read for basic comprehension before class, print notes and take them to class -- she will stick to these notes for the entire lecture. Huge grade curve!
Her class was difficult, but if you do all the work, study for the tests using her lecture notes and past tests you should do fine. Make sure you know how to do all the types of word problems. Sometimes she puts a nasty one on the test. Good Luck!
Boring lectures. Online notes discourage concentrating and note taking in class. Doesnt collect homework.
She gives lectures straight from the book and provides great lecture notes online. It is probably possible to pass this class without going to lecture, though I didn't do it that way. If you read the book and do the practice problems you will do fine. Her tests are just like her practice tests.
Wow. Unless you have a chem translater or a smart friend to help you understand, or unless youve taken this class in the past, GOOD LUCK. It helps to do the practice problems, and her practice tests if anything. I felt her lectures were a yawner (// to teacher in Ferris Buller) & a waste of paper :)
monotonous
veryyy boring lectures, but she tells you what you need to know - just ignore the confusing extra side notes. i only went to them for the example problems. hook up with study groups and go to your TA's review sessions. tests are VERY similar to the practice examples posted online.
Notes very helpful in class, but pactice exams were the most helpful. Class not to hard just pay attention and do the work.
Seemed approachable. Her notes were very helpful, but her lectures were overall boring. She was pretty monotone, but she did get the information across. BE SURE TO GO TO CLASS, it helps a lot. Do the practice exams also. Not a bad teacher, just a bit boring.
monotone, boring lecture- i fight so hard to stay awake, lecture kinda helps, but not alot.however, the test is the eaisest out of all chem professor...good choice to take!
She's smart and put clear examples when needed but her lectures are so incredibly boring. After twenty minutes, most of the class is asleep. Her tests are alright though. She doesn't put in super hard questions which is good.
pretty boring lectures, but her test are easy compared to others.
Easy easy professor, test are a breeze. If you've taking chem before, her class will be cake. If you havent taken chem before, her lectures are the most boring i've ever had
Wow, she's awful, avoid her at all costs. Seriously, do anything you can to avoid her, the first day of class the guy sitting next to me fell asleep and was drooling, it was so boring. tests are similar to practice, she LOVES iodine for some reason...
Her class was SOOO BORING! (And I'm the nerdy type too!) But her notes were the best and her tests were the easiest compared to everyone else's. Love, love, love her print-out notes. Everything you need to know w/o reading the book.
very confusing, sometimes she did not even know what she was talking about herself. midterms were hard. final was extremely hard. not very helpful. she is nice, but not a good teacher.
her lectures are pretty boring... but overall the lecture notes really help... just focus on what the examples are gven on the lecture notes and the class should be a cake walk
Exams are quite similiar to practice exams. Boring lectures but quite clear.
monotonous lectures but they are useful. she does appropriate examples and gives u hints on the exam. tests are hard. overall she's an ok prof. dont take kelly for 2B. he makes her look like an angel; my gookness.
Lectures were REALLY boring, fell asleep almost every time. She posts practice tests online though which are REALLY similar to the actual tests.
She is an overall good teacher
She is a nice woman, but very monotone, boring lectures. She was also not clear when explaining some concepts during lecture, and other people in the class I talked to couldn't understand either. She is kind of confusing, however, the class itself isn't really difficult as long as ucan do problems
her lectures are pretty boring, but overall the class is easy. mild studying before exams is all that's really required, other than lab.
nice lady, standard chem professor-type.
A decent teacher if you manage to stay awake. Nice, easy to approach. However, get a good TA because some concepts she explains in very difficult ways, likes to teach chemistry as if it were a math proof.
Monotonous and unclear at times. She spends a lot of time concentrating on the details instead of the general picture. But she definitely knows the material.
A very nice lady but a bad chem professor. Her voice would put yu to sleep and half of the stuff she says is not really that important. Thank god i had a great T.A otherwise...ouch!
she's really nice and friendly, easy to talk to, but she talks in a monotone. she also goes into a lot of stuff that is not so relevant - don't bother studying derivations of equations, classical experiments, etc. final exam was really easy, midterms were harder. do the practice exams and get a good TA - you'll be fine.
Nancy uses microsoft word as her visual aid/lecture device and she's not that clear during her lectures, but just read the textbook and try to do the homework problems and you'll be more than fine on the exams, because her curve was amazingly satisfying and just try your best.
Be prepared to sleep, its True. Just read the book and do the problems and youll be fine.
Honors Chemistry, I personally never went to her office hours, but in class she wasn't that helpful. She basically expects you to read the textbook and understand the material. The lectures that she has aren't very detailed, and they generally skim over the material that you've already read in the textbook. Just hope that you get a good TA.
You're on your own, Prof True is way too into chemistry to be able to bring it down to undergrad level. My TA sucks which makes the class worse but Prof True is awesome.
Attending the class is usually useful though it can be somewhat boring. Don't stress experiments or derivations of equations. Make sure to look at the practice midterms. She is very helpful in office hours so go if you have any questions on the homework.
She gives a lot of history and experiments and as a result we are behind. Then she rushed 3 chapters in 2 weeks. The hw is really long and repetitive. The test is all based on the notes and homework. I went to office hour once, waited for 1 hour, but she never showed up.
I'm sure that Prof. True is absolutely brilliant, but she could not lecture coherently if her life depended on it. She derived Schrodinger's equation in class. Twice. I appreciate her passion for Chemistry, but lecturing is not her thing.
I really learned a lot in this class, but I had to do a lot of hard work. Don't sweat your grade. Her curve is VERY generous. Hint on the homework tests: Read up on solving systems of linear equations. Most of the "tricky" computational problems can be solved easily by creating a system of linear equations and solving the system.
She was so smart that it sounded like she was speaking a different language. The curve was awesome though.
This was the first class I had in college, and it was also probably the worst. 8 AM, incredibly difficult, terrible lab, and unfair unit amounts. You can do well if you go to every class and study, but there's nothing exciting about this class.
She's very nerdy. Gets a little too excited about chemistry and starts going off on complicated chemistry tangents that are above the level of the course.
a very nice woman but honestly.... terrible at giving clear comprehensible lectures. The majority of the time i had no idea what she was saying & was completely lost. She tends to overcomplicate things and talks in monotone (BORING). My teacher was the textbook. HARD class, but AMAZING curve. pray for an easy TA for good lab grades. office hrs help
Physical chemistry is a hard class, you need to know when to ask for help. Go to lecture. Go to Office hours if you need it, remember that it gets easier. She is nerdy. Which is a really awesome quality in a professor, you know.
Do the work! Don't start the labs the night before. Put in the time and effort. Huge curve and good reward for effort
Tests are pretty much plug and chug, very much like practice midterms, grades on a curve. Really doesn't expect you to know much more than a really reasonable amount.
Go to class, shes really awesome at explaining the material. Goes by the text so reading it will help greatly. Tests are really concepts gone over in class, put in the work and you will be rewarded. Easy A for Chem E majors, kinda hard for regular Chem majors due to the math involved.
