Prof. Wade is the BEST teacher any of you could ever ask for. She acts like she's tough, she is, but inside she is a genuinely caring person...WHY DO YA THINK SHE SPENDS A MILLION HOURS A WEEK PREPARING THE BEST POWER POINT YOU'LL EVER SEE IN UR LIFE?

I truly caring professor. If you put time into the class, she will put time in to help you out. You will have to work for an A, but you will learn so much that will be used in other classes, and good study habits in general.

A very difficult teacher. She is helpful if you put time into the class. You will definately know biology when you are done with her class.

its funny that people hate the really good teachers. Nancy Wade is one of the only professors you will ever have that will really care about you and your education, and if you know how to study, her class is easy!

Out of the many professors I've had she sets herself apart, and above the rest. In her class you will learn much more than simply biology. She's a great, unique teacher, and after BIO 115 I hung around fro 116 though I realized it was required for me.

Only bad part of class is test difficulty, but she does it to weed out the slackers. The class is great, you just have to learn when to laugh at life (when she yells). Im definitely taking Bio 116.

You have options with Wade. You can do nothing and fail, you can learn and pass, or you can learn and still fail. I managed to get A's in both 115 and 116, and I thank her every time I take a science test. Verbal harassment? GET OVER IT.

Though Wade is hard and requires you to know everything, she's only preparing you for the rest of your college years. She does care about her students, but she will not entertain laziness to NO DEGREE (which is why she is considered hard). Just pay attention in class, take good notes, and LAUGH!

although many people dont like her, she challanges biology majors to do there best. If you can pass her class you can pass any other biology class.

Nancy spends a lot of time preparing for class&she is tough but fair.The #1complaint about her is that she just isn't nice,but she never got on anyone for doing what they should.All she asks is that her students work as hard as she does. for the love of god turn off your cell phones you brats!

Wade doesn't tollerate slackers. You will have to study at least 5 hours a week (exculding lectures) to pass. But she WILL teach you more than just biology and she will teach you how to think in a new way. Great help in passing MCATS. If you want to go to med school take WADE

Thank God for Nanay Wade! How do you expect to be a brain surgeon without knowing the basics? I'm glad we don't have some other bimbo up there teaching this class! She forces each and every one of her students to use what they already know and "grow" from there. Brace yourselves! It's hot!!!!!

She challenges your mind and gets you to think outside of the box. She helps to prepare you for the higher levels of BIO.

she is indeed very hard and cold, but she is a very good teacher, i don't regret having chosen her. she prepares you for the worse to come. remember med school will be harder.

Anyone who has had Prof Wade, then any other professor anywhere on campus will soon realize how GREAT of a prof she really is! No other prof will take the time that she does. Prepare to be challenged, and prepare to learn, or don't take her class!

I like her; I just didn't like my grade. Her teaching style is aimed to help everyone, but can hinder some. She's very blatant and proper, and I like that about her.

She teaches a lot of information, its just really hard for one to take it all in. I do however like her style of interaction, keeps one interested in the class. If you are into learning and don't care about your G.P.A., then this professor is for you.

Great durring the summer time. All those students who complain about her stories are idiots, her stories aid in understanding the information. I didn't study like I should have and got a C in the class, put forth effort and you'll do good!

One of the most thought provoking teachers I've ever had. She helps teach the slack students that if you don't dedicate yourself and learn your stuff, you are screwed. This isn't high school anymore kids, so quit your whining about how hard she is. ONE OF

Ms. Wade is a very difficult teacer, but if you manage to make it to 116 she'll tell you that she is less of a b**** in 116. I did notice that she does seem less rude second time around, so overall she is a very hard professor (especially at a 100 level course), but she does prepare you for the worst.

First impression on first day of class: "Shat.. teacher's a nutcase." She'll make you work and she'll definitely teach you that if you're going to make it through, you can't have someone baby you through it. She definitely laid the foundation for my future Biology classes. Learned the value of asking questions and a good study group through her too. If you've got the will to make it through this class, you can clear it all.

She's tough but if you pay attention and study your butt off it will pay off. The way her brain works is astronomical. She teaches the value of connections and how to make them. Also, she teaches you how to study, what to study, and how much to study. Though it is a tough course for freshman it will help you all around for the rest of your college career.

Professor Wade knows what some students really think of her. If having a no-nonsense approach to teaching makes someone a bi*ch, then yes, Nancy Wade is a bi*ch. In fact, she's the baddest bi*ch in the business!!! Somewhere along the way, you will realize how beneficial this course will be as you progress through college.

She's a spectacular teacher! She actually expects students to follow the rules, and comport themselves with decency and good manners. ( *sarcasm* How shocking that she expects adults to have good manners!) Her class is not easy to pass, but she is fair, and if you study you will succeed. She is the perfect teacher for an introductory biology class, and a very interesting person.

She is hard, she makes you learn EVERYTHING! It makes all of the upper level biology courses SOOO much easier though. Its worth taking her class, she is a really interestion lecturer and I learned SOOO much in that class. Dont be lazy, you gotta go to lecture and lab all the time or youre toast!

An awesome teacher, makes the class fun and keeps it interesting. Goes on tangents every day, but they all are related and help. Makes fun of people who do stupid things in class (cell phones, late, etc) Big class makes it harder but still fun, SIT UP FRONT, make her get to know you... overall a hard class but you learn alot and it is fun

Wade is one of the best teachers on the campus. she is very hard, but it is well worth it. you learn a lot.

Mrs. Wade is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Hands down. Her method of teaching is only a preliminary of what is to come, especially if you are going Pre-Med. A lot of people don't understand the reason why they fail her class so badly is you can't just memorize the material, you have to learn it and understand it. Get over it and study.

Professor Wade is possibly the best teacher I have ever had. She knows so much and applies everything to life. The class is hard only if you dont work. Study the lab pack, do all of the visuals and answer all of the practice questions. Your grade will reflect exactly what you put into the course. She makes the subject so much fun and interesting

great teacher, don't listen to anyone. wade's class teaches you how to apply yourself, it's not hard if you enjoy learning and listening to stories that aid in your learning. just be respectful of her rules and you'll be okay and go to every lecture and do the lab questions

Man she is a great great teacher. I took Anatomy and physiology before I took her class and with these two classes you will master study techniques. I love the way she interacts with students and her test are really easy, If you are trying to continue you education in medicine TAKE HER CLASS!!!

She is the best teacher ever!!! She teaches you so much. She relates the class information to the real world in ways that you can relate to and comprehend. She may seem rude and mean to you at first but in reality she is just complying with university rules and her's which ARE ALL in the syllabus. She is the best teacher you will ever have!!!

Took Professor Wade's class during the 1992-93 academic year. Holy cow! She's still teaching?!?! Great for her! :-) Probably one of the best professors I've ever had. Yes, she's difficult. But if you pay attention to what she has to say and don't goof off, you'll learn a lot. More professors need to be like her.

She is an OUTSTANDING professor. Some don't appreciate her because she really wants her students to get it, which should be one reason we attend college--to "get it" more. If you're attentive you'll get more than biology lessons from the class. If she taught other courses I would take them.

I took the first half of Gen. Bio class during the summer of 2001. At 1st I thought she was crazy, but then I paid attention and she is a good professor. I was also lucky enough to have her teach the lab, which was great, she would answer all my questions and was very helpful. Make sure you do and study the activities in her course book.

Innovative and clever!

If you consider entertaining crazy then I guess she's crazy. She's the best bio teacher any bio major could ask for! Yes, the MATERIAL is difficult but it should be no problem as long as you know how to study. The practicals are what kill people's grades and she doesn't even make those. Too bad she's retiring...you missed out.

Wade's class is only as hard as you make it. This isn't high school anymore and she doesn't hold your hand. She does talk about her personal life but she eventually applies it to the material. Awe poor babies, that b***h, she makes you study. Cry to ya momma cause she aint tryin to hear it. Grow up, this is college.

Socratic method, very in your face but in retrospec extremely helpful

She's the type of teacher that taught you more than just science, she taught you how to study. Extremely hard, but she's the type to make you the best at what you do. You'd know the material inside and out.

great biology teacher

I took this class years ago, and look back with fondness. Nancy Wade is your best friend if you're trying your hardest and need help. Read before lecture, ask questions, and for the love of god turn your phone on silent or off. Not vibrate, silent.

If you are looking for an easy ride this is not the class for you. But, if you want a firm, comprehensive grasp on biology, and are willing to study hard, this is the BEST biology teacher you could have. She's always willing to tutor and answer questions. A unique, colorful, interesting teacher with a passion for biology, teaching and music. Brava!

Seriously, she was the most difficult professor I had. She made me think, to the point my brain hurt and that was over 10 years ago! I cherish her willingness to spend hours upon hours to create amazing power point presentations that made learning so much easier.

I took both 1 & 2 classes in summer 1994. Very difficult, but I'm thankful for this experience with her class. It set the benchmark for what would be required of me in AP and a career in healthcare. Thank you, Nancy Wade!

This teacher has a brilliant grasp on biology and loves to teach what she knows. She teaches in a colorful manner and is willing to help students. If you are pursuing a career in Medicine, a recommendation from Nancy Wade holds a lot of weight. I took her classes in 1983/84 and she is still very vivid in my memory. Just follow her rules. :)
