Great teacher. I loved going to class. She makes history interesting to learn. Only one paper to do. Which was easy.

Sometimes sleepy when she reads from the book (every class). Dont plan on taking notes, she talks a mile a min but I cant complain because the review for exams is, shall we say, helpful. If you fail this class its cause your lazy. No other excuse.

I took her for AMH after 1869. The first day i walked in it seemed as if it would be a difficult class, but it turned out to be very easy. She gives great reviews before the tests and one research paper all semester. If you dont get at least a C you shouldnt be attending college bc your lazy. do the reviews and show up to class and your golden

I took Professor Chance's Florida History class and it was a lot of fun. She is so different from the other history teachers. Her focus is on more social history, not just a chronology of war and politics. She brings in a great deal of contemporaneous material and relates it all to the past. A very cool way to learn history!

Great teacher! Loved her class, the lectures, the book, the resource center. It was all very good! If you attend class, do the selected readings, and don't miss her exam reviews, you're pretty much guaranteed to get a good grade.

She's extremely easy. Yes, she babies you... but it's totally worth an easy A in a boring history class. Her reviews are literally the same as her tests, and you have to write 2 1500 word essays all semester. She also encourages group work. I recommend her.

Professor Chance is one the nicest and most helpful teachers I've ever had. I enjoyed her class very much and would definitely recommend it.

The first 2 wks Prof Chance irritated me & she just read off the power points. But after abt 3 wks she started using interesting videos & I found she is very sweet. Gives great test reviews. Book reading not mandatory but the tests are based on the book so try and read as much of it as you can. If you have to take history, this class isn't too bad.

I took Mrs, Chance for Florida History this summer and really liked the class. She is a very good instructor and always had something interesting planned for every class meeting. Not only was the class interactive, her style and manner of teaching made history (which is sometimes boring) exciting! Great class!

I really liked Professor Chance. You can tell she is excited about the topics she covers and she assigned some really amazing group projects. We had 4 exams with awesome reviews and 2 research papers. Class is fun yet very structured - I recommend her if need to take a history class

The class was mostly lecture based, but there were a few group projects and videos. The professor gives great test reviews, and the tests were easy and straight forward. There were two 1500 word essays which the professor grades strictly. Overall, the class was prety laid back and not too stressful.

This class was easy, fun and most importantly interesting (if you like history). She knows her stuff. Expect to attend class, she is somewhat fussy about that and about the research papers. Overall I really enjoyed her class.

This teacher is amazing! She is one of my favorite professors. Her class is super easy! There is one group project and it was worth 10 points. She gives you all of the test questions and tells you where to find the answers in the book. Two of the tests were even online. She did cancel class, but I never minded that. She never gave homework!

Professor Chance really cares about her students! What she tells you on review day, is the same for the tests so I would NOT miss out on those days! Two of them were even online!! She even will give you the references pages! For papers, go to the writing center because the yellow sheet will add five points! She grades tough on papers!! TAKE HER!!!!

Awesome history teacher. She was very clear about expectations and assigned grades pretty fairly. Good with office hours and feedback. Overall a good experience considering I am not a big fan of history.

Prof. Chance was so energetic and fun, which made the class amazing. She gave us such in-depth reviews for our tests and clearly stated her expectations for our papers. She doesn't have very detailed power points, which is not a bad thing because her lectures are so awesome! So make sure you bring a notebook and paper to take lots of notes.

Professor Chance was very awesome! One of the best professors Ive ever had. She was funny and very caring. Make sure to pay attention to her powerpoints. She will even put them on canvas so students can look at home. She had so much energy and I really enjoyed her class. Never was into history but she made it fun!

Good Class, must be in attendance, will be in class majority of the time. If you interact the class will be easier for you and others. She thinks she is Hilarious which makes her kind of funny. Bring her some Twizzlers and you will be her best friend.

This professor is wonderful. Expectations are very clear from day one, and just attending the lectures will give you all the info you need to be successful in the class. Put in the effort and your certain to get an A. The most stressful part of the class is the research paper but even then it isn't that hard.

Without a doubt the best course I've taken at FSW. Four exams, (awesome exam reviews) and two research papers. She may be a little strict on formatting for certain things on the rp, and she's really helpful about it. If i had a question, she answered within a day.

Prof Chance's class is discussion-based. She does do lectures and uses great powerpoints, but she switches things up all the time which makes for a fun class. I learned a lot. I highly recommend her.

I took her class online and she is the sweetest! You usually have to do a discussion per week and only one group project. Her tests are really easy and if you need help she is more than happy to help you. She takes a little time in responding to your emails but she is the best. I absolutely love her.

I would 100% recommend her if you want to take an easy class that isn't a lot of work just write notes and go to class and you'll be good. Every single test is taken from home and you can use those same notes to help you out. The only assignments are the 4 tests and book review.

This was honestly one of my favorite classes. There are 4 non proctored exams and each week you just have to read a tiny lecture and respond to a discussion post. The discussion posts are not that long either. You have to write one reflective essay but it is really just answering the questions she provides to you in essay format.

I hated history because remembering so many facts always seemed dull and challenging. Professor Chance helps you connect each historical topic to yourself, motivates you, and offers excellent feedback to help you stay easily engaged in class. If she ever taught other subjects, I would happily take those classes as well.

Professor Chance is amazing! She is very kind and gives great feedback; you will do well in this course if you do the work on time and explain your thinking. You have readings every week that can be time-consuming. Those are the modules; there are no lectures. There are 3 discussion posts due weekly. You have 4 exams; use the Exam study guides!

I love Professor Chance. She gives really good feedback on the modules and is willing to help you do better on your next assignment. There's 3 CAD assignments due weekly, but in reality they're not that bad since you work in a group with other people. The class is really easy and the tests are very easy to study for by using the study guides.

Professor Chance is so fun. Her classes are lecture-based, and she does show videos and documentaries, but she doesn't do PowerPoints. However, all her exams are online, open-book, and open-note. She is a very caring and funny professor and isn't strict. Her lectures are very entertaining. if you're in-person, she does not do weekly assignments.

The only grades going in are tests and one final essay but the tests are all online, at home, and not proctored. The reading is long and boring but she goes through it in class and as long as you got the headlines and answers questions it will be fine.

I took Professor Chance for AMH2010 and AMH2020. She is an amazing professor. Attendance matters in her class! There are 4 exams, a midterm, a reflective essay, and a final. Light on coursework throughout the semester and if you pay attention and use the study guides the exams are easy. She does want you to read a chapter a week of the textbook.

I took Professor Chance's in-person AMH 2010 and then her online AMH 2020 course. I enjoyed both of these courses and liked Professor Chance a lot. Her online course is based on weekly discussions, 4 exams, and a group assignment. The instructions are very clear, and if you follow them, you will succeed. She is also very caring and accessible.

Naomi Chance was overall a great professor she is very sweet and caring. Her work load was not a lot we just did exams and discussion posts which were not hard. Although on the discussion post she would give low grades without giving a reason why. I do recommend you take notes!

The workload was not a lot; her class was easy to pass. Her tests and exams were not difficult whatsoever; Naomi is a very kind and funny professor. I would recommend 100% taking her class.

Easy class. We had four discussions and very little homework. She had a review before the midterm and final with the exact same questions. Tests are taken at home and open book. She is kind and understanding, and her classes mostly consist of long lectures and occasionally watching a film.

This Professor is amazing. She's very understanding and fun, if anything's comes up you just let her know. The reviews are important as is the book. All assignments are online. She is lecture heavy but she makes it fun and there's occasional films. I loved her she was so nice and rounded my grade from an 89 to 90. Sometimes she ends class early:).

Overall very nice and caring prof. Grade is based mostly on discussion posts, along with the midterm and final, which she reviewed in class for. Read the textbook and pay attention to lectures and you should be fine. She talked about some of her political views towards the end of the semester, which made me slightly uncomfortable.

A caring professor who uses lots of visual materials. Most classes are lecture-style, with a few key discussions that she reviews closely. Two in-class exams (midterm and final) with great review sessions. Also, a few online tests you do at home—manageable and not too hard to pass. Overall, a great experience!

Class is super easy all tests take home and open book besides for midterm and final, which she gives a Kahoot. The class before that is the same; she also does the kahoot again the day of the test. The only way not to get an A in the class is if you don't do work. Lectures are super boring tho and there is no point to reading the textbook easy A
