I can honestly say that Dr. Liebler was the only professor at Montclair that I truly learned something from, something useful for my life anyway. She is a brilliant woman, very tough but very fair which is what many professors here lack. You get the grade you deserve. I would absolutely recommend her.

Professor Liebler is a good professor when dealing with Shakespeare. She is very passionate about the subject. However, she is quite rude. She sometimes embarrasses people in class. She told us what would be on the midterm, but left some things out. She won't stop talking until five minutes after the class was over, so you never left on time.

Although brilliant in her subject matter, she has an antagonistic view towards students. Insulting, belligerent, and condescending, she's used to picking on college-age students but not so much returning adults who don't put up with her petulant antics. May she lock herself way, write many books and never harass another student again.

Shouldnt be a professor, she is obviously a miserable and wants to make everyones life as bad as her. Her grading is bias on topics that she likes, if she doesnt like your topic she will shut it down. She is extremely rude

I had Dr. Liebler for the Spring 92 semester (Comedies) and Fall 92 (Tragedies). She knows her stuff. She is not easy. You can't hide in the back of the room and not talk. She will find you and call you out. You have to do the work, study hard and you'll get a good grade.

Liebler is brilliant and knowledgeable and that cannot be taken away from her. However she is very unclear on what she wants. She will shut down all of your ideas, and once you go to her office hours various times and propose something (or she gives you something) that she likes, you will write it and get negative feedback. Thanks? Avoid her.
