Took this course during Spring 2014, worst idea better off taking it during Winter Semester. No matter how much homework questions you do, it wont help. She once put a question on the other sections exam that could not be solved, because she forgot something in the question. No marks were awarded to that question and she did nothing about it.

I'm pretty sure a toaster could teach better than Nara Jung. Lectures are terrible, and very confusing. Switch out immediately if you have her for 140, 141, and 240. And don't send your exams in for remarking as she will make up ways to subtract marks instead of helping you out. If you have her, only God can help you.

If you enjoy approaching a subject completely on your own and not coming to a joke of a class, this professor is right for you. This is not to say she is a mean person, in fact she is extremely nice, but she is just a horrid professor. Late to class, unorganized, and can't get thoughts across due to a huge language barrier.

I had to take Dr. Jung's class cuz it was cheaper but little did I know, Dr. Jung's exams are the hardest n its hard to understand her lectures. More than half the class failed, from wat i heard. Mind you, i finished all the hw problems but I still failed. Should've just paid an extra 400 dollars and taken Dr. Saeiid's class. He's an amazing prof.

This is by far the worst prof in all of Canada, not just Ryerson. Replies to emails after a whole semester or never at all, can't even speak proper english, horrible notes. She never values other opinions or cares about someone else's situation or mark. She says she gets paid the same no matter what she does so she doesn't bother. Skip her, folks.

She made few mistakes on the lectures, didn't even correct them. Don't even bother with sending emails, because she replies probably 7 weeks later. Difficult to understand, very poor notes. She knows the material very well, but has a hard time explaining. Exams are marked extremely unfairly. If you have her... ha good luck!

Absolutely terrible lecturer. She is slow and deliberate, but that doesn't help her teach anything. She also has a thick accent and a lot of work has to be put in to understand her. Luckily I had her for an easy class, but I feel like you should not take her for upper year math courses. However, she does care and is willing to help if asked.

The tags say it all. She cares about her students but shes not respected and its impossible to understand her, also because of her heavy accent. During exams she rejects to even hear your questions and if you have her you might as well just skip and study by yourself.

Just Awful, avoid at all cost

Tbh I learned more reading the textbook for 5mins than I did sitting and trying my best to listen in her lectures for a whole month. She knows the curriculum well but her communication skills are really bad. At this point idek why I go to her lectures, there's usually 30-40 students on a good day (there's probably 300+ students enrolled in her lec)

I unlearned things during her lectures, I literally self taught myself the whole course. I would definitely never take her class again.

If you have this prof, i advise you to switch right away if you can. You will not understands what she says during lectures and she explains things in the worst way possible, the only way i did well was by reading the textbook and youtube videos. SWITCH NOW!

If you have her as a professor, SWITCH OUT!! It is REALLY hard to understand. Her notes are very messy and all over the place. They are not organized and if you try to look at her notes, you wont learn or understand anything. She cannot explain well and its hard to focus from her teaching. The textbook is easier to learn from than her lectures.

She loves to go over the thereom a lot and tends to use letters instead of numbers as examples. Learned nothing from lectures. Gave up on them. Nobody attends them, and the other prof's lectures began overflowing from Jung refugees... Thick accent + my poor hearing + teaching style were not a good combo. My recommendation, leverage textbook + labs + Gr. 12 review to your advantage. Will carry you 90% the way there.

I highly recommend swapping professors or just dropping the class and retaking it at a later time. Jung does not know how to teach. She has a thick accent, is not confident in the material, and does not know how to answer questions that students may have. If you are not the type of person who can self-teach, I implore you to try alternative routes.

Lin alg is already a tough course to get through and having a bad prof will only make it harder. if you have her, either switch or drop it and take it later because she's just so bad. messy notes, bad examples, barely understandable, always confused. VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND. fly's over concepts so fast and expects a lot of prior knowledge. she has a very thick accent which for math courses specifically is a disadvantage. its very hard to concentrate and make out what she is teaching. however, the midterm and final aren't too hard if you self study and do the labs properly.

Had to be one of the most disorganized professors I've ever had; her style of teaching never worked for me and I found out earlier in the semester that she tends to flip-flop through ideas, and has numerous errors to the point where I lost focus and didn't show up to lectures. As course coordinator, she was okay, but there's better out there.

Overall, a waste of a professor. If you see Majed, Duah, or Wang, take them instead of Jung.

Her accent is thick and she has no clue what she is doing. So many times she would make a mistake and not realize and wonder why she isnt getting the right answer and wont listen to the students. Very hard to follow with lessons as they aren't organized well and are very messy. Makes mistakes in the questions very often, and her accent makes it tough to understand what she's trying to say. She also explains concepts too fast.

Her accent is really hard to get through and she always corrects herself every 5 minutes so its hard to really learn anything. Up until midterms she was somewhat okay and then after she just completely went off the grid

She's a really sweet lady but her lectures are completely disorganized. It is hard to understand her, not because of her accent, but because she starts in the middle of a concept and gives no context to what she's doing. She is all over the place and tends to ramble for long periods about unrelated things then rush the lesson.

Sweet and caring old lady, but terrible as a lecturer. Attendance dropped by half after the first 2 weeks, her accent is hard to understand which is not her fault by any means, it just makes a complex course like Calc 1 hard to learn. Her notes are confusing and messy, they are not in slides, she writes them on a blank page with no organization.

Nara is really nice but she cannot teach to save her life and attending lectures is a waste of time, you're better off studying yourself. Nara's lecture notes are messy and all over the place. If you can please take this course with a different prof.

Honestly she's a sweet old lady and she tries her best to teach but it's just so hard to understand her. She also has an accent which makes it harder. Her teaching style is just so confusing and you'll leave lectures knowing less than u came in with. Be prepared to self study ALL course content.

No need to attend her lectures, you will end up more confused, and you teach yourself the course through youtube, other prof's notes, and homework problems. You just can't understand her.

if you have her switch immediately or attend any one of the other professors' lectures, i bet you they will teach 100% better than her.

She was difficult to understand due to her accent, and wrote notes on an iPad mid-lecture without using slides. If you have her, I recommend switching or self-learning. Read the textbook and follow the practice questions; there are plenty of mock/previous exams that you can use to do well.

Might as well not have a prof if you get her. Find another prof if you can! You can't understand her, she mainly rambles and laughs half the class, and writes incoherent notes all lecture. If you get her simply find another prof and go to them instead. I taught myself the whole course. The exam was very unfair too. Read the notes of other profs.
