She is very helpful, but can't really teach the class. She is not clear with her ideas. Very frustrating.
She's a great and extremely fun teacher so far! I find that her class is interesting and will become challenging but still be entertaining. She engages very well with the students.

She gets students interested about learning; stedents can tell that she loves what she is doing.
Mrs. Jeter was a wonderful teacher, definately take her class. she is always energetic about the subject matter and she is willing to go the extra mile for you. i actually enjoyed getting up to take her 9:30 class because she made the class so fun to learn. i would give her my highest recommendation
LOVED HER!! She was VERY helpful and class was just a great time. She helped relate the material to real life which gave the class a better understanding of the material. It's obvious that she loves what she does.
This was a class I was sad to see end. She made class fun and interesting. Everything she taught was clear and easy to follow. I would take every class she teaches.
Nari=AWESOMELY AWESOME! One of the nicest profs I've had in a while & she's way gorgeous too! Her stories made the class more fun to sit through. All assignments, quizzes & tests were easy, just make sure to review the content. Too cute! Would definitely take her again!
Awesome professor! She is very nice, knowledgeable and makes learning the material easy and fun. She gives study guides for the tests and also uses class powerpoints. If you make some sort of study guide and take good notes you'll be fine on the tests! Absolutely loved this class and would recommend her to anyone taking FAD2230 :)
I really enjoyed this class as it helped me in resolving problems in my marriage and relationships with people in general. Nari is a very nice girl and also helpful. She makes the class prettie more interesting by using herself and her family as examples. She's good and knows her stuff very well. Take her, you wouldn't regret it one bit.
I definitely recommend Nari! She is fun teacher and is young. She is very easy to understand. I would like to take more of her classes.
Her lectures can be pretty entertaining and fun. She clearly explains the material but you must skim the book and look at the study guides she outlines for the exams. She loves to talk about herself and some find that annoying, but others enjoy the tangents and her perky personality.
This class requires that you actually look at the book. I never read all the chapters throughout but she gives out a study guide that helps a lot. Don't only depend on that either. Her lectures are also implemented into the tests. Talks too much about her life, can get boring, but she'll clarify what needs to be known. Gives XtraCred and .5 boost.
I have to disagree with any negative comments about Nari. She is a good prof. and her class is a lot of fun. She's so cute and funny and tells stories about her personal life that relate to her lectures. Fun class. Didnt open the book once and received an A. I bought the book notes from a classmate, tests were very easy and to the point. Take her!!
Worst teacher ever. All the psycho talks about is her husband and step kids. Like really. "Oh my son said the cutest thing today". Ok, how relevant is it to the lecture... Not at all...
Easy A class as well as very interesting. 2 tests the whole semester, 2 movie reports (fun movies), and one paper. Really enjoyed this class!
By far the hottest girl in the predominantly female class of about 250 students. However, extremely painful to listen to. If you like stupid stories- about peoples husbands and step children- with crappy punch lines, take her class. If that makes your ears bleed, find another professor. Easy A though, just learn the key terms. Attendance required.
Yes she is a nice person, but her class sucked! Her tests are all from the book, things she doesn't talk about in class.... she wrote about 200 Vocab words...so stupid me actually tried to learn every single word for the exam, well turns out the exams were nothing to do with the vocab lists she gave! I had to drop her class..will not take her again.
Her lectures are okay. She had a Grad Student helping out with the class lectures, who was boring. You have to know the vocab from the book (ugh) plus lecture notes. The tests SUCK and usually have bad questions that don't have clear options (can be more than one answer). A LOT OF ERRORS. Got a B+ after a lot of studying and doing all the work.
Her name is Nari Jeter, first of all, idk why FSU still lists her as Berarducci. Anyway, she's okay. But her tests are horrible OMG I never knew someone could make so many errors on a test they made. There were so many questions that could have had more than one answer. She made grade adjustments sometimes but not always. Read the book, go to class
She is wonderful teacher. She gives plenty of applicable examples to help you understand the material. Attend class, take notes, study mostly from them. You'll have to skim over the book vocabulary too. Overall, I really enjoyed the class.
had her for family relationships. she's half korean and half italian. so friendly and so much fun
Hottest teacher on fsu's campus
Don't waste your time.
She is a very good teacher and knows what she is talking about. Its a class full of freshman so there is daily attendance. The tests are common sense and easy you just need to go over the powerpoints and study for 2 or 3 hours. Breakout on fridays are pretty useless but they arent too bad.
She makes the class very easy and interesting. Shes a great teacher and I would recommend her to anyone. For the tests just do the study guides she provides and youll for sure get a good grade.
i LOVED her class! she teaches well with great examples, esp of her husband and children. shes very down to earth and helpful.i LOVED the breakout sessions on fridays. my fav TA was Deanna. if u go to class; its a def pass. she passes out a sign in sheet & picks 15 of them to count towards attendance. takin her again this semester
Such a great teacher! She is funny and SUPER pretty, and really knows what she is talking about! She talks about her own family a lot in class as examples for the stuff she is teaching. I recommend her 100%!
I absolutely loved this class!! I learned quite a bit and she is such a down to earth teacher. She uses examples and experiences from her own life to incorporate into lectures. She is always willing to help whenever needed. I would take her again for sure!
Class is a lot harder that it should be. All she talks about it her family and how she has a PhD. Study guides include half the information on the test at best. Do NOT take her unless you have too because she finds a way to take simple questions and make them beyond confusing. Arrogant as well. Derives pleasure from making her class hard
I had her for Family relationship development as well as family's in ecological context and I absolutely loooovvvveeed her...she talks about her step kids a lot but some stories are funny and she's pretty entertaining:)
This was the first time Nari has taught this course, and I wish every day I took it before her. All of her lectures would somehow lead to her kids or how much money she brags about having. Exams were different every time, making them IMPOSSIBLE to study for. Ex: One exam was supposed to be mult. choice/matching & she made it short answer instead.
She is very good at teaching the material. However, she will intentionally word questions on exams trickily. You REALLY have to know the material thoroughly. She does not email powerpoints, so attending class is a must to get the notes. The notes do not cover all of the material, and there is a lot of material in the books that is on the exams.
She is an awesome teacher but if you mess up once you can kiss the A goodbye. She does not give extra credit and her tests are mainly from the book. And you must attend lecture to get the lecture notes. Overall she is really pretty but it is a hard class to get an A in.
Dr. Jeter is amazing. She makes all the information interesting, and she definitely makes it all easy to understand. Make sure to attend class, she gives some pop quizzes that are hard to make up if you weren't there. And her quizzes are from the book, so make sure to read prior to class. Other than that, she is great. I'm learning a lot.
The class in itself is not very difficult. Just attend class and get the notes, because she does not post them online, and will not email them to you. However, the tests and her in class writing assignments are difficult, her questions are trickily worded. And she does brag quite a lot, however, you can tell that she's knowledgeable.
She may be great for lower level FCS classes but do not take her for anything else. The way she lectures and teaches does not correlate to the assignments given or the difficulty of her tests. Only 2 exams and the "study guide" was useless. Clear instructions are not provided for the assignments. Your basically on your own in this class.
She conveys the material well, and makes the class interesting by telling about her personal experiences. However, test is hard. I am an A student and I had to read and study for her test for days. I barely got my A. I got a 90 in the class.
Great lectures with interesting stories but tests are impossible and it is VERY hard to get an A
She has very interesting lectures and makes the class engaging. However, her "review" before the exam is just key terms but the exam is anything but key terms. The tests were hard even though I read the book and studied my notes.
I've taken Nari before and loved her for the lower level FCS classes, however this class was another story. The lectures had little to do with the assignments, and the exams were nearly impossible to study for. This class was not nearly as organized or as interesting as her other classes, and she genuinely didn't seem interested in teaching it.
I had Nari two semesters for FAD2230 once online and in the classroom her powerpoints are very informative but she doesnt prepare you for her exams. There are no study guides. She spends most of the class lecture telling stories of her family. I wouldnt recommend her as a good professor for this course.
Powerpoints are interesting and informative, but you need to read the book if you want an A on the exams. Dr. Jeter is super nice and funny and her lectures are interesting. The tests aren't easy, but if you read, you'll do fine. There are 2 papers and 4 exams, and 2 research opportunities. I would take her again.
This class is really hard with Nari! Her tests are really hard and really test your understanding of the concepts. There usually seems to be more than one right answer to the questions, so make sure to pay CLOSE attention to tiny details. If it seems really detailed, theres going to be a question of it on the test. Make sure to read the book!!!!!!!
Her class was pretty easy, lectures/powerpoints were clear and informative. Didn't use the book to study for the test, just used her lecture notes. 95% of her exams comes from her lecture. Online assignments were a piece of cake.
The class was very interesting and she tells great stories but none of the lecture info matched what was on the tests which made them EXTREMELY difficult.
She never had a study guide for tests and the questions were not totally based on information from the text. It was useless.
I am a 4.0 Student at FSU and this class will be my first B+. This is the first teacher at FSU that I have felt that I was smarter than. She showed little interest in the class, was late habitually and would cancel class 5 minutes before they started. Absolutely horrible, the tests were not on the material that she taught, or what was in the book.
I am an A student and this will be my first C. This class was very unorganized. Nothing prepared you for the tests. All the material you study for hours has nothing to do with the test. Grading inconsistencies. Material should have been fun but I have decided I never want to take another course in this subject area.
This class was extremely unorganized. The test had nothing to do with the textbook or her hour long lectures. Grading was inconsistent and policies changed when she felt like it fit. I had considered doing a dual major in this subject area and I have reconsidered.
I took this class online and even though she relayed the information clearly, test questions were very random and came from both the lecture and notes. Tests are hard you must study everything!!!
Anyone saying her tests come from nowhere obviously didnt read the book or take very good notes, I got a B in the class and I have friends who got As. Her test questions make sure you grasp the terms and concepts, exactly what they're supposed to do! Take the writing assignments seriously though, they will help your grade at the end of the semester
This class seemed like it was going to be very easy. Once you get in class everything seems easy as well. But once you get to the tests you are straight confused. Questions came from no where. Take the class if you want to be studying for hours and still not understand a bunch of test questions.
Honestly thought this would be an easy class because the material covered seems interesting and common sense. Is not easy and you must work your butt off to get a good grade. I took it online and the teacher never responded to any of my emails. The tests were tricky and made harder than the material presented. Do not take online, not an easy A.
I do not recommend taking any FCS classes online. This class was especially hard because of the way the tests were worded. She is an average professor at best. Videos were somewhat helpful but take REALLY good notes and definitely read the book. I got a D on the first test, C on the second and B on the third. First was definitely hardest. STUDY.
The course material is interesting and fairly easy to dominate. She's overall a nice professor but when it comes to her exams, no matter how much you studied it wasn't enough. With the amount of time I spent studying and reviewing for this class I expected to get As on the exams and I got Cs instead. If possible, take someone else.
Where do her tests come from...must be from a test bank!!! They are not from her notes and few are from the textbook. Be prepared to THINK and then guess which is the right answer. I will avoid her classes in the future; there are too many good teachers in this department.
This teacher is horrible
This class should have just been called "The Life History of Nari Jeter". She only talks about her own family during lecture. But she doesn't have a problem coming up with 50 obscure scenario questions on her exams. There's nothing you can do to prepare for her exams even if you go to all the lectures and read the book. Would not recommend...
Class material is very interesting but the tests are VERY tricky. Almost all questions are concept based and require a lot of thinking. Also there are 350 possible points in the course and 300 of those points are from the tests. Basically unless you make high B's and A's on the tests you're screwed.
If possible, avoid! Class and tests do not relate. More than one right answer on each test so take your best shot at an answer. I have taken several Family and Child Science classes and by far, this was my least favorite.
Attendance is taken but its not mandatory. I pretty much never went to class and I'm going to get an A-. Just be warned that she likes to tell a LOT of stories (hence why I never went to class) and be prepared to take notes. She does not put her slides up online. I would recommend taking her in person not online!
You'll likely get through about 5 slides a day, she'll stop to tell stories about her toddler. The course itself is easy, tests are not highly related to lectures. She will not reply to emails quickly, it's just a very frustrating environment and I would recommend taking this class with a different professor. Anyone else, really.
All my friends said this course was easy, IF you studied. NONE of them had Jeter though. Went to class every day, was always attentive and paid attention to what seemed to be easy and common sense topics. Tests, however, make you feel as though the hours and hours you spent listening to her and reading the book had no effect. Take someone else!
If possible, I would take with a different professor. She is a little stuck on herself if you ask me. Course is mainly based on 3 tests grades. The material taught seems easy but her test questions are tricky.
This teacher is FAIR. Her tests require you to not just spit back vocabulary, but be able to put it into context. TEST ARE EASY if you understand the concepts and go to lectures. Plus Nari is sweet. Stop being babies and buck up, kiddos, she's a great teacher.
This class is NOT an easy, but people need to stop complaining. Her tests make sure that you can apply what she teaches. I am a terrible test taker and I engaged in class, read the book, found her lectures on line and watched them again, and studied my butt off and got an A on the test.... Just work hard and take your time! YOU CAN DO IT!
Talks about herself and family a lot, so often gets off topic and lengthy. Often comes to class late. Cancels at the last minute when she does decide to not have class. Must read book backwards and forwards to even try to pass. Tough grader. Has pointless assignments. Ultimately, take a different professor at FSU. She isn't good.
Dr. Jeter is a very difficult teacher, but still a fair one. She talks about herself a lot but that story time is just to try and make the class more fun. Her tests are not just memorization, you really need to study and apply and even then you dont really feel ready. Try to take class with another professor but if not then just study hard!!!!!!
She is out to get the students and think she has it hard with only a two in-person classes and one online. She complains about the 720 students she has but only lectures about her life. She does NOT grade a single thing. The test are scan-trons & the projects are graded incredibly unreasonable by her TA. FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR GPA, DON'T TAKE HER!
Not terrible class but not great by any means. Had to study my ass off to get a B but that was because I underestimated the first test. You're not going to fail but know going into the first test to study a lot more than you think you should. Easy material, but unnecessarily confusing/difficult exams and only 5 point homework's to help your grade.
Wow, I should have came on this website before I took her class. The subject is easy but she makes it unnecessarily difficult with her projects and test. All she talks about is having a "PhD", her son Noah, and reminding us how she's not dumb. Waste of 3 credit hours, DO NOT TAKE this class with her.
Take it with someone else. I learned more about her family than I did about actual families and their development. Class may seem interesting and fun at first but afterwards, everything goes downhill. Take it with someone else.
Dr. Jeter is a nice professor and a good teacher. However, her tests are absolutely ridiculous. She asks multiple choice questions on tests that are completely subjective and expects you to know the answer SHE thinks is the best. Material is easy, but no matter how much you study you will always have to guess on many of the questions.
I took Nari for FAD2230 and FAD3220. She is an amazing professor. She relates everything back to her personal life which makes it so much easier to learn. Tests are completely fair, just read your notes and the textbook. Would highly recommend her!
Interesting professor who relates all the course material to real life examples. Really enjoyed the class and it was relatively easy. You just need to take the class seriously and study for the tests.
I could not get over how much she talked about herself. I should have listened to these reviews but everyone said she was fair. I asked for a study guide for the class and she refused. She cancels office hours like crazy. Her tests are unnecessarily difficult and I am struggling so much in this "easy A" class.
I original had her for Family Relations and loved her as a professor, so much that I switched my major to family child. The second time I had her was for Adult and it was not the same experience. I went into office hours once and she ignored me as I went over my test. tests are weirdly difficult for the material. I'd take her, not a 1st pick
She doesn't post Powerpoints online so you must attend class. Her 3 exams are tough you really must understand the material to score well on them. She has 3 easy quiz open note quizzes in the beginning of the semester and 2 other assignment that aren't too bad but she grades them tough. Like the comments says she like to talk about herself & family
Nari is a fantastic professor and I enjoyed her class very much. Her exams were a little difficult; but if you attend class, pay attention, study the study guides she gives you, and skim the book for main topics and vocabulary you should do very well! Her lectures are always great because she is able to relate the material to her (and our) life.
Clear lectures, standard multiple choice tests, a couple of easy projects. The discussion board posts are annoying but easy. The class is relatively easy material and just takes some effort to do well and keep up with the assignments. You definitely need the book for the tests (20% of the test material comes from the book).
The content of the class is very easy, but her tests were extremely difficult. She would also ask questions that were not in the lectures. Her lectures weren't long, but she mostly read off the powerpoint. There were also discussion posts and a paper for the class that were easy to do well on because TA's graded it.
I took Dr. Jeter online and also sat in one of her Intimate Relationships classes and she's really easy going. Very passionate about what she does. My only complaint is that I never felt like she was very approachable. I felt intimidated and rushed every time I tried privately ask a question or something. Otherwise, she's a respectable professor.
I think she's great&all, but I can never get 2 her. She doesn't email you after office hrs, so get to her via email/face2face ASAP. For the genogram assign, email her all your Qs @ one time, & figure out how you're going to scan&print before u even have to turn it in, that really screwed me over. It just ticked me off how I could hardly get to her.
Tests are hard. Studied for HOURS, literally as much as I study for orgo and still got B's on the exams. Took the class online; weekly discussion post and lectures, which sometimes dragged on. Overall definitely doable but you do have to put a decent amount of work in. Offers extra credit.
Dr. Jeter is good at making Powerpoints to look over, but you definitely need the book to pass her tests! She asks very difficult questions on her test that were never touched on in the PowerPoints so read!! Gives two different options for extra credit. Had to do it to attempt to get a B in her class.
Dr. Jeter's class was one of my favorites this year! She is very helpful in office hours and her lectures are interesting. Her tests are tough! Make sure to read the class readings for each exam. Overall, I would take her class again.
Dr. Jeter is a wonderful woman who has nothing but good intentions. She tells a lot of stories about her family in class that helped me to further understand the material. She goes off on long tangents and tends to waste a lot of class time, but usually she has interesting things to say so it isn't too bad. 3 tests and 2 papers
Her class was pretty straight forward, but tests were a little tricky. Does not respond well to emails, purposely ignored three of my emails regarding my grade in the class. If you have the option of taking another class, or a different professor I recommend you do.
Professor Jeter, definitely makes this class harder than it needs to be. The material is not hard at all but when you get to her tests, you get blindsided. Definitely suggest reading the book after class because she always puts small things on her tests
There are a lot of discussion boards to post, and you must read the book in order to write about them. Not a hard class if you read the book. One long paper on the movie Boyhood, which you know about from the syllabus. Great class and she explains and reminds you about everything online. Also, she grades fairly.
she took a 2000 level class and treated it like a 5000 level one. Too much work for a class that's supposed to be an easy A.
She doesn't even know what she's teaching. All of the videos are from 4 years ago. Tests are based on stuff we never learned. Nobody knows the grading criteria for the projects and discussion board posts. Book is $100. Makes you feel like an idiot. Clearly not a capable instructor. Annoying emails that have nothing to do with the class.
Prof. Jeter is extremely knowledgable and genuinely loves what she does. The course content is entirely applicable to real life which is awesome. She makes you learn and reflect on who you are as a person and how to better every type of relationship in your life. She tells a lot of personal stories that relate to the lecture. Definitely recommend
i took fad online and it wasn't bad. discussion posts every week and her tests are literally all examples. it's applying all the material you learn into an example and a lot of the questions purposely confuse you. you need the textbook and be prepared to study in advance bc even tho the material isn't hard it's SO MUCH INFO and there's only 3 tests
The class is composed of 3 exams (noncumulative and no final), 6 discussion boards (textbook topic that week), Living to 100 Assignment (reflection on a survey you will take- easy!), and a Critical Analysis Paper of a movie you will have to rent online. As long as you know the book definitions and read her slides the exams are a piece of cake!
Just read the textbook like a week before the exam and listen to the lectures and you'll get a good grade on the exams. Easy material, just memorize it for the exam. Three exams and weekly journal entries.
Hard to access outside of class. Attendance is not required, but exams are based off power points and she refuses to post online. Also assigns in class assignments on random days. Exams are all examples of applied knowledge. She is nice but not very helpful.
Dr. Jeter was a nice professor, but her exams were full of trick questions. We didn't do much in class but sit and listen to her speak about her personal life while she flicked through a powerpoint, which we'd rarely finish. She had good intentions, but this ended up being my lowest grade all semester because the exams were ridiculous.
Dr. Jeter was very nice and her lectures were pretty interesting. She is hard to access via email and office hours. I went to her office hours once and there were a lot of people waiting in line. She answered my questions but was very distracted. The tests were tricky and full of "all the answers seem right but pick the best answer"
This class consisted of 6 discussion posts, 3 exams, and one critical analysis paper of a movie. Her tests were pretty straightforward if you go over the powerpoints and read from the textbook.
tests are impossible to reliably study for and is an harsh grader she pretends this is a 5000 level course while its a 2000 level course my previous ratings were actually removed so i feel like i have to post this again to warn you not to select this professor
tests are impossible to reliably study for and is an harsh grader she pretends this is a 5000 level course while its a 2000 level course my previous ratings were actually removed so i feel like i have to post this again to warn you not to select this professor i mean it, dont pick her
Good person, hard class. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about Dr. Jeter's personal life (some people complain about it).. The exams are mostly application, so you have to know the material. Read the textbook! And go to class because she does not put the powerpoints online.
Her class started off seeming easy but I quickly learned that wasn't true when her exams was based nothing off the material. No late submissions, she doesn't respond to emails, and her TA'S are tough graders.
Easy A and sweet professor!
Although it is hard to access Dr. Jeter through emails, her class was enjoyable. The online class was comprised of a project, 3 tests, and Journal Entries. The tests are application-like and as long as you put the work in and listen to the lectures and take notes you will be fine. The questions can be tricky, but I highly recommend her for FAD2230.
Dr. Jeter is is a very sweet professor. She wasn't very good at answering her emails, but I enjoyed her class. You need to listen to the lectures, go over the vocabulary terms in the textbook, and do the extra credit if you want an A in the class. Some people didn't take advantage of the extra credit that she gave throughout the semester.
"Understanding and Influencing Intimate Relationships" was a fun class. The 3 unit tests were good even though it can be difficult if students don't take notes and read the online articles. The two projects were fun too. She'll enjoy seeing who is creative in the multimedia project (song lyrics, movie, photo album). She also gave extra credit.
Her lectures are not boring at all!!! But she talks so slow that I would speed it up to twice as fast and it would sound like a normal person talking. In order to pass, you just need to memorize the lectures hardcore. I got a B because I always waited to study and you really can't do that with this class. Everyone else I know got an A.
Very easy class if you keep on top of everything. Our grade consisted of 6 discussion boards, a paper, a short analysis, and 3 exams. Extra credit is offered but don't rely solely on that because it only adds up to be 1% of your overall grade. Just keep up with the weekly assignments and study Quizlets for your exams. Also, make a class group chat!
I really liked Dr. Jeters class. Her lectures are annoying because theyre so slow and I have to pause every time she says something. Some of her exam questions were tricky. I suggest listening to the lectures and memorizing keyword definitions from the textbook. Shes also not very good with answering emails. Overall, it was a good class.
She is a great and knowledgable professor. I took this class online. Weekly journal entries, 2 midterm exams, and 1 final, 1 project. Study hard for the exams because they make up the majority of the grade. Kind of a difficult class to get an A because exams are very tricky; it seems like all of the answer choices can be the correct one.
Dr. Jeter is absolutely the best professor ever! She is so kind, so intentional, and really cares for her students! I was in her prepracticum and practicum course and all of her assignments were a ton of self reflection and deep analyzation of us, and others, and situations. She is so kind and so caring! You will not regret taking her!
Dr. Jeter is great. She cares a lot about her students. Sometimes her lectures can get very lengthy and off topic and that makes studying for the tests kinda hard. One thing is to make sure you write down all the statistics from charts on the slides even if she says you don't need it. Make sure to keep up with projects and overall its fairly easy.
**This professor is never available during her office hours and even when she is, she rushes you out. Her lectures (online class) are so soft spoken, that you can barely hear her even with max volume. Not an overly hard class but she definitely makes it harder than it has to be. Would not suggest taking her for an online class if you want an A.
Dr. Jeter is one of the best professors I have ever had. This was the only class that I have ever looked forward to going to. She is an amazing lecturer and makes the material very interesting by incorporating her experience in life into it. It is not the easiest of courses but if you out in the work an A is very attainable.
I really enjoyed this online class. Not hard concepts to grasp. Anyone who says "her tests do not cover the lecture" probs just downloaded the PP and didn't watch her videos explaining it. There were many instances where her test questions were the EXACT examples she mentioned in her videos. Just speed them up because she does talk slow in them.
Dr. Jeter is extremely passionate with her work and is always there for students. Attendance is not mandatory but almost all 150 students would go to every class because her lectures cover everything that is important, not to mention her exams and homework ask questions about her lecture. Great class, study the notes you take and vocab from book
I took this class online with her and she was very soft-spoken, but her lectures were interesting and actually taught me something. The assignments were also super easy to complete so I had no issues with that.
Dr. Jeter is fantastic! She is personable, well-spoken, and the assignments are not hard. Make sure you read the textbook to prepare for the exams, though. I recommend taking this class with her :)
She is a good teacher but the exams are SO hard and nothing like the lectures.
Relatively easy, and fun class. Pay attention to lectures for exam preparation.
Nari really sweet Professor. Extremely funny. Easy class to follow
Dr. Nari Jeter is one of the sweetest professor's I have ever had. She is very passionate about the classes she teaches and wants you to succeed. She is always avaliable to have meetings outside of class and helps you get an A in anyway she can. Best professor at Florida State!!
Very sweet and amazing lectures.
If you have the opportunity to take Dr. Nari Jeter, do it! She is so sweet and the class is interesting and easy. A couple assignments, a family tree paper, and 2 exams I think.
Amazing professor!!! I loved her class and lectures. Took it online and it was set up really well. Very helpful and caring, easy to reach out to. You can tell she definitely cares about her students. Easy if you watch her lectures and her study guide helps with the book. Rarely used the book at all. Would definitely take it again!
This semester was great! she has many opportunities for you to boost your grade, there are journals that are pretty simple to complete and a project that is not too difficult as well. Exams are scenario-based through Honor Lock so last-minute studying will not work if you want to pass them. Her lectures are great and entertaining, take good notes!
I liked her as a professor, seems very sweet. The only thing was the exams were pretty hard you really have to look on her PowerPoints as well as the textbook. Shes a tough grader you have to do everything perfect for the discussion boards other than that it wasnt too bad
Every point matters in Dr. Jeters class. The exams are on Honorlock and are not curved. Study the lectures hard and read over the book and you will be fine. This in an online class that you actually have to study for, but I did learn a lot.
This is the easiest online class Ive had. The professor was very responsive to my emails and helped a lot. The only challenging assignment is the genogram project but other than that you just have to read the textbook every week and complete a quiz and/or journal about it. Also, she records lectures! I definitely recommend taking this course.
Dr. Jeter's class was very interesting and easy as long as you did the work and studied for the tests. Watching lectures really helps for tests as a lot of the material is what she talks about in the videos and isn't just on the PowerPoints.
Sort of a lot of work but if you take the time its manageable. One of the best and most organized online classes ive taken. Her lectures are very interesting for being a video.
Dr. Jeter's online FAD2230 was one of the best online courses I've taken. She is clear in direction and her videos were interesting to watch... also, the content is pretty basic so it's easy to do well. 100% would take her again, online or in-person.
Dr. Jeter is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. More importantly, she is passionate about the material. She is open with students and creates an environment based on mutual respect. She lays down clear expectations and is open to clarifying anything you need. She also pulls from her own personal experiences to relate to the work
This was a very easy class. We had weekly journals and quizzes. There is also one project and three exams. I like how there was quite a few assignments so if you don't do great on one, it won't destroy your grade. I recommend taking one of her classes.
Dr. Jeter is a great professor! You can tell she really knows what she is talking about and that she is passionate about the subject at hand. 3 exams on Honorlock, 1 project, and weekly quizzes and/or journal entries. Have to pay attention to lecture videos in order to do well on exams. Loved having her as a professor!
A QUEEN! I am taking this class as an IMS elective and it's online. You do have to take exams in person at the testing center though. 3 exams, quizzes, hw journals, genogram project, and EC. Watch the lectures, read the study guide to know what to study from lectures and the textbook. Exams are MC and easy. I just made quizlets for everything.
She is amazing and the most caring professor! The exams require a lot of preparation but watch all of the required lectures and memorize the terms in the study guide and you will be fine (I recommend using Quizlet to study). The class material is easy to learn, but the work does require time and effort. She also gives EC opportunities.
Workload is not very heavy and rubrics are very clear on the expectations for assignments which made it very easy to score well. As long as you complete the assignments and watch the lectures you should be fine. Exams are decently hard but not meant to trick you. As long as you study, you should be fine.
Took the pre-practicum in the fall 23 semester with this professor. TAs did the grading and the professor gave guidance to the class. Quizzes were easy if you had the powerpoints and notes up. My TA was extra picky with the writing assignments. Extra credit was given out through surveys.
Weekly lectures, TA does the grading, just follow the rubrics and you'll pass
Tests are heavily based on lecture, not as much the book. There are 3-4 exams and one big family tree project worth a lot of credit. As long as you study lecture and take good notes, you're solid. Homework once a week was either an open-note quiz or easy writing assignment. Gets very particular with test questions. Tests taken at testing center.
Really enjoyed this online class, three exams and a couple writing assignments with a larger project near the end of the semester. Only thing I will say is these TA are a big problem in this class with grading. They nitpick everything and give low grades when you have correct information in the papers. Teacher is good but TA's suck!!
Dr. Berarducci's FAD2230 is a solid choice - the workload is manageable, and the exams are straightforward if you keep up with the lectures and readings. Unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for preparing the weekly quizzes.
One of the best professors I've had in my time at FSU. She makes the lectures really interesting and enjoyable to watch. You do have to watch the lectures to get a good grade on the exam. You won't know the material if you dont. As long as you follow the instructions for the assignments and watch the lecture videos you can easily get an A.
The T/A is pretty harsh on grading the written assignments but overall, the homework is not a lot. The exams are mainly graded on the lectures (which you have to watch, not just the PowerPoint) and are taken at the testing center. The professor is awesome and very kind.
Such a nice, caring and passionate professor. Class was online, tests at the testing center. She would post a lecture a week 45-50 min and if you watch and take notes on that and study the key terms from the textbook she gives you, you will get an A on exam. Highly reccomend!
Amazing Professor. She posts about 3-5 lectures for each exam which are 30-50 minutes long. There are 3 unit exams. First one with 30 MCQ, second with 50 MCQ, and third with 70 MCQ (with small cumulative portion). Each lecture has a 5 question quiz (easy). watch lectures, ready unit study guide, write definitions from textbook, you'll get an A.
Tests were harder than expected for an elective but overall passable. Some questions kinda seemed pulled out of nowhere but she is a very kind teacher.
