Awful. Everyone failed quizzes, nobody liked her.
I really don't see how anyone could fail tests in her class. Just skim the chapters before tests and you'll be alright. Don't bother with taking notes because she is not a good lecturer. To her credit, she happens to be very nice and personable.
OK, first you need a translator to understand what she's saying, when you ask her a question she TOTALLY blows you off, and for a class called "general biology," you sure have to know a heck of a lot of stupid details, nothing general at all.

SUCKS. This teacher SUCKS. She dishes out pure information overload, and tests are next to impossible, because it is impossible to study her long, incomprehensible notes, and her tests contain little material from the book. DON'T TAKE HER.

Very unclear has an accent. Shes easily confused, should not be a teacher. she dosent remember what she says one moment and then switches what she says. Difficult. makes you use her notes, dosent go by book a lot. Don't take her. She should be fired. Thankgod shes not a fulltime teacher.

Momen is the worst teacher I have ever encountered as a student. Don't bother asking her a question b/c she'll first look at you as if she has no idea what your talking about then you'll be even more confused if she attempts to answer your question. Horrible, just horrible. Stay far far away.
not confident enough in teaching. expects u to know what is being done in class and lab. will not take the time to explain something important but will for something that isn't. would not reccommend until she sits in on some real professors and learns how to teach by the book and not out of the air.

All of these ratings are totally TRUE! She is not confident in her teaching and she is very unclear. She most likely knows what she's teaching, but her delivery will totally confuse you. If you can, try and get another teacher cuz u will not enjoy or understand anything in thsi class!
By far the worst teacher/professor I have ever had in all my years of education. She takes being a bad teacher to a WHOLE new level. What was supposed to be an average class in terms of difficulty has turned into a nightmare. I studied hard and now i'm going to have to take the class again!!

To be fair Ms. Momen is very caring and does know what she is teaching, however, she does have trouble verbalizing it. I would not recommend her if you cannot learn on your own. The book, her test reviews, notes and homework should get you through with a "B" if you put in the effort.
MS Momen is a terrible teacher. Her class is unfair. Her notes and lectures are not relevant to her tests. She is incapable of answering a question and her tests have many grammar mistakes which make taking them very difficult. i am a straight a student and i barely passed with a C. Do not take her.
I have to laugh at the dude who said she is a good reason why college teachers should be certified in education. The whole reason he is failing the course is because of all the "certified in eductation" teachers he had in primary and secondary school..and most likely the reason he is at BCC which has an open door policy just for schmucks like him.
She is irrefutably the worst professor I have ever had! The entire class is sinking together. She treats each student as if we are all biology experts. She can't lecture, answer questions, and her tests are on subjects not learned in class or the book. She sucks. DO NOT TAKE HER!
This is the worst teacher I have ever had. She doesn't know how to explain anything and she sure doesn't make the class interesting. She took one of my favorite high school classes and ruined it.
She is very sweet. I know that a lot of her lecture students say she is horrid, but taking her as a lab professor was fun. If you ask questions, she will answer them. Her accent is thick, but overall she is a great person. Plus she lets you leave early.
Look, she's a really nice lady... but man! teaching is just not her thing. She will try and help you out as much as she can, but with her this class does become extremelly hard. She has a very thick accent, which is not as bad as just the way she teaches. The way she teaches is very confusing and well... you'll hardly get an A or even a B with her.

You people are complaining about her, take Ranjana Srinivasa and you will have something to complain about. Ms. Momen is my lab teacher and she is alot clearer and a better instructor than that other one. I wish I would of took her instead of the other and the hard work I put in probably would of paid off better.

I dont know how she teaches her biology lab, but i took her class and She is TERRIBLE!!! She doesnt answer your questions and shes kinda boring and unclear.....I would never take her again....
BOOOOO!!! I used to LOVE bio until I took her class... She confuses you - then gets mad when you ask her questions... Try to avoid her if possible.
She's awesome. I do not understand why people hate her. Easy A and I am very pleased.
The absolute WORST teacher ever! Very BAD Attitude. Not Helpful AT ALL... but that is probably just because she doesn't know anything. Gives quizzes every Lab that have absolutely nothing to do with what she said or what we do. DUMB! RUDE!

Her english is very Hard to understand. not willing to help with questions that the students have. VERY unfair grading system.
Lets just say she is by far the worts professor there is around. She doesnt teach at all and gives these tedious quizes. her tests are almost imposible to pass .She also made a racial remark about spanish speakers who cant speak english which offended me.
Can be nice at times, but not a good teacher at all. Willing to offer help, but doesn't know how to lecture or convey the material effectively. Study material does not reflect the tests (she pulls them from a general test bank)Chapter reviews & study guides are very misleading. The ENTIRE class failed one of her exams & she refused to curve.
she is not that tough, she gives the same amount of work as any other bsc1005L proff. would give. u get a quiz everyday, which is mandatory in any lab (up to 10 questions). the quiz is exactly what you learned in prior lab. she drops your lowest hw and quiz grade. i didnt ace every test, but i missed 1 lab and did all the rest and passed with b.
The professor will drop two lowest grades, and the quizzes will determine your final grade. Just read the laboratory manual before the class, then you will do fine in the lab.

it is difficult for me to describe this person without being profane. this "person" is abrasive like breathing broken glass. this "person", if you can call her that is self absorbed and crude at best. her voice is horrid and haunts my nightmares. take ANYONE else.
This "professor" is not a teacher. Her notes are difficult to follow and she does not present the material in a clear manner. She has made it PERFECTLY clear that she is ONLY doing this for the side money and is not interested in learning effective teaching methods.
this was not a good semester for her. she had some family trajety going on. overall she seems to be a good professor but i wouldn't recommend her for another couple semesters until she gets through her personal problems. some hw. tests every couple chapters gives reviews for tests. not make up tests aloowed..at all.
This teacher was hard to understand, and I had to teach myself most of the class. When I taught myself I got Bs on the test, when just listening to her rambling lectures I got Fs. if you have a choice, don't take her class.
worst teacher ever. I had a 79 going into the final and she changed the format of the final from multiple choice to fill in the blanks without even informing us. shes an idiot had no idea what was going on. dont take her if u have a choice or jst drop her she'll mess up ur g.p.a

it is very easy to get A in her class. you don't even have to study that hard. just read the capter. she gives quizes on every chapter which is GREAT (not like other professores gives test on 6 Chapters at a time).
This is one of the worst Professors I have ever had. She cannot teach, not even pronounce the words during lectures. Has an accent and when always asked a question, her answer was "I don't know". Her exams were barely from her lectures!!! DO NOT TAKE HER!! I have no idea why she is still teaching.

Now in my opinion I think she's a good teacher. In my opinion explains well. Her accent is not a big deal to me and i have heard other students comment on how she is easy to understand compared to other teachers with accentsIf you study your chapter you will do well on the test. It's good reinforcement because she coves that chapters on her lecture
I thought she was a good professor. She provided quizzes for each chapter and dropped one of the 11 grades, much easier to study if you are on one topic. Although she has an accent it is not hard to understand if you actually pay attention.
I've been out of college for over 20 years. I found her to be an excellent teacher. We all had a great time in her class. You did have to study, but if you were prepared you will get an A in her class. I found her to be an extremely caring teacher. Thanks Ms. Momen
the worst professor i have ever had, why they allow her to teach still baffles me. she's incomprehensible, and when you ask a question she becomes very defensive, and rude. her quizzes are poorly written, and riddled with mistakes. her attendance policy is horrible (tardy=absence), and she really doesn't display any real knowledge of biology at all

Momen is an overall good professor. She is more than willing to work with you if you stay after & show interest. Quick email responses. Slight accent but easy to understand. You must read and study but ask what is on the test FIRST. She will be more than happy to help. Again, YOU must approach her for more info and help. Reading is a must.
She speaks one thing, and then five minutes later contradicts herself. Highly unorganized, and difficult to understand.
I'm a good student and I don't mind teaching myself something every once in a while, but I'm not willing to stand my questions not being answered and vague descriptions of what the exams will be like. She is a mediocre teacher, if you can call reading powerpoints teaching. She is completely uninspiring and has made AP a true disappointment for me.

Her voice takes some getting used to but overall I really liked her. She was sweet and funny. What people need to remember is this is A&P. YOU HAVE TO STUDY NO MATTER WHO YOUR TEACHER IS. I'm taking her 1086 Lab next semester.

Always unprepared. she explains what we going to be doing in the lab then contradicts herself. Don't do it to yourself and take her. She couldn't even explains the modules in the lab. Only good thing about her is her personallity.

I would never in my life take another class with her name beside it as the teacher... She is rude and very unorganized she doesn't answer your questions at all If u ask for an explanation on something you wont get it because if its not on the powerpoint then she doesn't know how to explain it.
The professor is fair. Her quizes are not hard just tricky. She gives you review notes to study which helps you alot for the exam. She drops the lowest grade. At first she doesn't seem to be friendly but once you get to know her I think she is sweet person and wants you to pass.
I am finishing her class in 2 weeks. I am enjoying her class very much. She explains everything in depth, welcomes any questions, and provides the class with notes for the tests. I wish she could be my teacher next semester, and I would recommend her.

She's not that bad for lab. Gives a quiz/test every week on the previous lab. Read the lab book a few times the few days before class and you should ace it. You can leave early. She didn't make me wear a coat or glasses. the quizes every class are out of 10 pts. I think the practi****only counted as 40 pts.
Professor didnt seem to have much knowledge of course contents and only offers tests in her curriculum.
She goes off her slides only not necessarily the book. she has a hard time with English so she can be hard to understand. There is no final just chapter tests. She also gives extra credit for written summaries. If you want to learn find another professor.
Not someone you would want for LAB. She makes it like a Lecture. Not really hands on. We were suppose to dissect both eye and brain. We only ended up doing one due to her attendance. Students would ask her questions, and sometimes she didn't know how to answer them, so she would act like she didn't even hear you....BEWARE.
GREAT TEACHER!! I don't understand some of these comments, she is a really good instructor. I had her for A&P2 summer 2012 and she really cares/wants you to learn and understand the material. She gives extra credit for summaries, as well as chapter reviews for the exams. I recommend taking her class for BSC1086.
This teacher is AMAZING! I wish she taught more classes besides A&P. Not only does she REALLY know the material, she can explain it in plain english. I learned so much and got an A. She gives plenty of extra credit and detailed reviews for each test to help you focus in on the topics you need to know. You will love her if you plan to study :)
I had her for both lecture & lab for the 6 week course. She is a great teacher!! She explains the subject very well in laymen's terms, has an Indian accent that can get in the way, and primarily goes off the slides in lecture, but I recommend going back thru the book to get further explanations, if necessary. I plan on taking her again for BSC 2086
Professor Momen is an exceptional teacher and scholar,and she is really! really! excited about teaching. In my opinion she is the kind of teacher that makes learning fun as well as memorable.She gets an A+ from me.I had her for A&PI summer session 2012, she gives plenty of notes, extra credit work,and she is easy to understand. Please stop hating!
Her class consist of powerpoints and lectures. She gives you review questions, but you gotta make sure you ask for them in advanced to study for the test.

Very nice lady,NOT a problem with accent AT ALL..definitely overload with material and hard to guess what will be on the test. 85% of the class is failing. She is the common denominator here..not every student can possibly be at fault.not willing to be helpful and see how to fix things. Nice person
This class was not that difficult, but the way that she tested us on information was completely off topic with the reviews she would give us. I have straight a's in all of my classes and I ended up getting a C in her class. I have one of the highest grades in the class. Overall she was not thorough with reviews & just a terrible teacher. After taking this course with Momen for AP1, I was subjected to a professor who "read straight from a outdated powerpoint." The tests for AP2 with the other professor were based on tricks of memory. In Momen's class, I felt I learned something. I'm at Nova now. If it weren't for her foundation, I'd be completely lost. Thank you, Momen.
This professor is too nice and some students tries to take advantage of her and when she does not allow it, they in-turn right bad reviews about her. I really think they are judging her by her little accent she has, which is stupid because her English is quite clear for everybody to understand. Just be nice & You'll get an easy A or B.

She is an ok teacher very nice explains material in detail. Test are challenging but if you study you should be fine. Its alot of material to cover in 18 weeks so its 3 or two chapters per test, which made it more difficult for me but i liked the class gave extra credit in homework assignments to boost grades
We are in college and like every other real professor she gave us tons of work that will help in our career BUT She also give us extra homework and credit, she a sweet lady, just study her PowerPoint and be respectful to her. Most lenient professor!
professor momen is one of the most intelligent professor i have ever met. she knows her material very well,she explain everything in details unlike other professor. she gives lots of extra credit to boost up your grade, for her test just study her power point and its a easy A. BEST and sweetest teacher. All these other poor scores must be from rock heads!!!! She literally gives you slides and a "extra credit review" that tells you everything that will be on her tests. I have a life and am not one for hours of studying so was so scared to take this class and even I passed with an A.... TAKE HER!!!
Sweet professor. But completely out of it. She teaches at high school level and if its a complex topic she teaches is in a way you cant understand. Easy A, but if you want to learn go to another teacher. do extra credit, its the exam. She couldnt even tell the class it would be canceled for a religious holiday and didnt feel bad for not telling us.

HORRIBLE teacher, makes you stay after the class is over and she singles you out in your group and doesn't let you leave til you answer her questions, she has a heavy accent and doesn't know how to use the equipment. I don't recommend.
Wow, this professor DOES NOT know how to use a computer. If you are considering taking this class online DONT. She is very incapable of doing anything involving technology and she never has a solid train of thought. She mixes up words through out the entire class which confuses the students on what she is actually talking about.
