This is one the most brilliant poli sci professors in this school. He is a great teacher but he is not easy. However, you will learn a great deal.

Professor Cipollina knows the materials very well. He does not require to much work but you have to go to class if you want to do well on the mid-term and the final because they are based on the lectures.You really learn in this clas especially when you do the take home exams because they basically cover everything that you learn over the semeste

Profe Cipollina took the time to explain extremely well to everyone. He took the time to make sure I got the A no matter what. No matter how long it took. After hours he spend extra time making sure the students understood the material and gave them extra notes for the exams. Taking his classes is of value to ever student

The man is very smart, he knows everything you could possibly know about history or governments, of not only US, but the man has very poor teaching skills. I will just say that i hate school and learning, but if he stayed on the subject i could listen to him for hours. You will get an A in his class, just make sure you show up time to time.

A truly good guy. He does go off on tangents once in a while, but look at it as a way of making the class really interesting and motivating. He clearly knows his stuff and teaches real-world things. You will learn things that are actually WORTHWHILE to know, unlike many other professors. Great class.

Some might be turned off because he's a zealous Bush supporter, but he is still a very informative professor. He is a very good man, who will personally get to know you. Oh yeah, his class is ridiculously easy. If you're overloading on credits and need to take an elective, he's perfect.

Take him if you planning to attend all of his lectures. Midterm and final 100% from notes. Pay attention for what he is saying. I learned a lot from him. Very nice person but midterm and final are hard. I spend two nights with no sleep preparing the final paper. He also asked a couple of extra questions in order to give me an A. Study in advance!!!

A brilliant professor and an incredible teacher (in the true sense of the word). He knows everything and, if you are interested in the subject, you will learn a lot. He lectures with loud, strong voice and is never dull. Opinionated, which gives the student a different view. He gives a lot of time to students outside of class. A very decent guy.

I took this prof thinking it was going to be two papers, but he ended up giving us two exams. He explains everything clearly and gives reviews. You have to take lots of notes but the exams are easy. He knows alot about everything not just polisci.

this guy takes a lot of knocks simply because he is a conservative in an extremely liberal school. he is a good guy and students at baruch are simply not used to hearing conservative viewpoints. hes a good professor id recommend him to anyone.

Grades have been posted but didn't get the email from the school. Check your transcripts. Definitely an amusing class. Unorthodox teaching methods, but I have to say that I've retained whatever he was trying to teach. I can safely say that I've memorized his definitions of politics and economics.

Super nice & super easy. Just come to class & take notes. Lots of times he rambles, but the rambles are about interesting things. Don't buy the textbooks until he clearly says "u need this textbook tomoro" because he doesn't use all the texttbooks he assigns at the beginning of the semester. =)

One of the tough professors of Politicial Science Dept. Class attendence is mandatory and he wants students to participate in the class. First midterm was hard, I would say he is tough but if you study the book you will be fine.

Midterm and final were take-home's. He reviews before each exam. Make sure you take notes as he counts them as extra-credits when you hand them in at the end of semester. He talks very loud and you can tell he's very passionate about this subject. Just come to class and listen. Easy A. Oh..and don't ask questions in class.. he will embarrass you..

This professor is easy but not because he lets you off, he repeats everything from this first day of class and adds a little extra every class so by the end of the class you can not help but know the material and since attendance is mandatory you will learn it no matter what. Take this class and show up you will actually learn a thing or two.

Boring class. Professor spends three-quarters of the time writing lengthy essays on the board and we have to copy everything word for word. The remaining time is spent going over what was written and espousing some typical conservative dogma. Your course grade is the highest among the two in-class, open notebook exams.

I don’t understand where people get the idea that you need to copy everything word for word. You write what you want and it is up to you to comprehend the lesson. This is college. In summary, you get out of a class what you put into. In my humble opinion, he is a great professor. Take him.

Cipollina is a true professor. He made Pol Sci for all of us, fun (is this possible?). For all you slackers, he'll help you learn and you'll get a good grade. He understands his students and teaches with passion. Wish I minored in Pol Sci with him. He's the only reason people take Pol Sci at Baruch.

The Prof gave me a very informative semester. I enjoyed the asynchronous part. Little to no hw and no tests. Easiest A i've received! The class group chats are confusing but its not like it mattered because you'd still get an A. If you just want to relax or focus on difficult classes while taking home an A by learning some new stuff, MUST TAKE!

The group chat and how he gets information and assignments to us was a bit confusing but I would take his course and any course with him again! Highly suggested professor especially if you are working while going to school.

BEST TEACHER IN THE SCHOOL Baruch's Pol department is full of know-it-alls who only teach their political beliefs, but Professor Cipollina actually wants you to know the facts. He will send you 4-5 assignments for the whole semester and they are quite simple, and one short final. Do all of those and you will get the easiest A of your college career

Everyone here is saying how he's easy and all, but misses the most important part. He is a KIND and CARING human-being... He doesn't have any ego for being a Professor and is always there for you to help you. One of the best Prof's I had in my whole academic career.

Out of all the professors I have taken at Baruch, he is hands down the best. An all around good guy who actually cared about his students. Never penalized anyone who submitted assignments late. Gave everyone an A in the class. I wished every professor were like him.

Super easy A. Online asynchronous class. Sent everything through email. Never sent a syllabus, but you are only graded on 4 or 5 easy short assignments. You don't have to read all the text lectures he sends, just the ones you need for the assignments. Had a easy final, but you didn't even need to do it because he posted grades before it was due.

Very knowledgeable professor. If you take the time to truly listen to or read everything he teaches you, it is actually very interesting material. He also responds almost instantly. Cipollina is a very nice guy and will always make sure to do everything possible for the student to get an A. In addition, he gives AMAZING and DETAILED feedback.

This was the most easiest class I've ever taken in my academic career. Easiest A ever! Must take if you want to boost GPA while focusing on more difficult classes. Was a bit confusing but no stress at all, you just text the Prof, he replies instantly and clarifies anything you are confused about. People complaining about it being confusing either don't like free easy A's or are too lazy to ask the prof for clarity.

If you take Cipollina, you should know what you are getting yourself into. If you want an easy A, take him. If you want to learn, take someone else. Easiest class I've ever taken at Baruch. You get an A even if you've never came to class. Pretty lecture heavy which contains a lot of info, but no tests, only a final paper, in which you write a page about what you've learned in class. Just text him if there's any issues, and he'll reply very quick. Great class to boost your GPA.

The only thing I did was write a paper about something new I learned in class that I didn't know before. He doesn't really return any graded work, but you'll definitely get an A in class, just for showing up. People who complain about him missing classes should take the given A and be glad about it.

Super caring and kind professor who cracks jokes in class. He's a godsend for those taking a bunch of heavy courses and need an easy grade to lean back on. If you're looking for a structured class with assignments and exams, then don't take him but I liked his laidback style of teaching. One paper at the end about what you learned in the class.

Professor Cipollina spends most of the class lecturing the old school way, without any technology. Every week he assigns a simple HW just as a protocol. He won't make the work stressful nor heavy. His final is essentially a ROE paper about what concepts you've learned in the semester. The work is much lighter than it sounds

The literal GOAT. I'm not joking when I say an elementary schooler can get an A in his class. The times he did come into class, he gave a lot of great information and was funny. Simply one assignment at the end of the term where you write a page on one new interesting thing you learned.

Dr. Cipollina often cancels class but it makes my life easier considering it makes his course an easy A. He's very lenient with absences and when he is in for class, he makes his lectures quite informative for the lack of previous classes. Super understanding and nice, definitely take this class, especially if you need the credits!

A great professor who's understanding of people's life circumstances. The only tasks we really had were to create thoughtful questions based on articles he sent us (submitted around 3 times) and a 2-3 pg final essay. Otherwise he'd send a lot of interesting articles to us. He's definitely lenient with attendance but has great lectures as well!

The actual goat, literally only have to do a final and you get the A. The final is literally the easiest thing, I couldn't have asked for a better professor.

TAKE HIM YOU'LL NOT REGRET unsure y ppl complained we only have 2-4 hw & a 2-3 pgs final. Dr. C's literally the GOAT/GEM & knows we're all not a pol sci majors& wants A. unusual to be added to a class GC by the prof but it's more convenient to get class materials/hw/reminders if he'll be in/not given his frequent absences due to health issues.

Dr. C is the GOAT - easy A with minimal work. Only a final paper and you're set! He's super understanding, even if you miss class. Unstuckstudy was a huge help for prepping the final too.

Dr. C is my favorite professor at Baruch! As a political science minor, I really appreciate how much he loves what he teaches; you can tell he's passionate about it. When he does come to class, he's super engaging and makes the subject come alive. No tests, no homework, just one paper at the end of the semester. Definitely take him if you can!

Very passionate and caring Professor!

Dr. C is incredibly, incredibly smart. His lectures on New York, which range from the Rockefellers to current-day New York; the MTA monopoly to NYC bureaucracy are packed with passion. He is also quite funny. Although he may not be the most tech-savvy, he tries his best to reach students through direct messages. Highly, highly recommend!

if there is an easier A in Baruch, I doubt it exists. gave students an A just because, gave 2 or 3 extremely basic assignments throughout the semester, and he only came in about 10 times due to health issues. he knows his stuff, though, and is caring and considerate of his students. if you could take him, I'd recommend, an easy GPA booster

Professor Cipolina is a great professor. His class is not heavy. The homework that he assigns is not difficult; it's just a few papers. He often cancels class due to his health problems, but his class is so nice.

The professor is fair and is super passionate about what he teaches. Recommend going to class to get the most out of the semester. Listening to his lectures was actually so interesting, and the information actually sticks with you, unlike other courses.

Very passionate and knowledgeable. Lectures are dense but also entertaining. Sends out pictures/summaries of the class lecture, but you should still attend to show respect. Very caring prof and is willing to make many accommodations bc he just wants to ensure you gain something from the class.
