she's a great teacher!!! You just have to loosen up, get pass her... "meaness"... Really though, she's funny and she's WILLING to help!!!!

Very Helpful and very nice. BUT whenever she helps you she goes back onto her stories about living in the Ukraine. And also she will tell you you need to live and breathe math to get a good grade in it. She will tell you you aren't working hard enough every time you get help.

Natalia is an AMAZING prof. Yes she is intimidating but it is just her accent- she is actually extremely approachable and she is always willing to give you extra help if you ask. She actually cares for her students and she has very good notes. It is very important you go to all her lectures, she goes through lots of examples.

She can be intimidating but she always wants her students to do well, dont hesitate to ask questions because she is VERY helpful! This class requires a lot of time and studying so be prepared for that, overall her exams are university level worthy

She is quite intimidating but genuinely tries to help you. She is only mean because shes trying to help you improve. Her homework takes forever to do and it often does not help for her awfully difficult exams. Avoid if possible, my classmates came out crying during the final. I advise you to just take it with another prof like at the Burnaby campus

Lots of help available outside of lectures however nothing really helps due to her difficult tests. Every question is based on concept and thorough understanding so if you don't understand a topic fully you will fail.

She seems hard to approach but once you do talk to her, then you will like her. She can be scary but that's because she honestly cares for you. Her lectures are organized, she makes it clear what she wants you to know and even drops hints about what will be on the exam. If you do her notes, her hmks, and put in effort then you will get an A.

absolutely ruthless. its obvious that she cares for her students so dont be scared when she says something mean to you, she's just crudely honest and wants you to try. you should know the meaning behind each mathematical concept or you wont do well in exams.

The BEST prof at explaining difficult concepts I've ever had. You need to go to all the lectures, be super focused and soak up everything she says (she won't let you talk or have a laptop open anyways), and then do a ton of practice outside class every week. Go to open lab if you need to. If you put in the work, it WILL pay off with her.

Good prof for explaining materials, but lectures could be boring throughout the semester but you need to be 100% focused if you want a good mark. Midterms and finals were not hard at all, as long as you put in the work, attend all lectures, go to open lab, practice at home, you will end up with a good mark

Natalie really cares about her students doing well in her class. Outside of class, she is willing to give the most help as possible and can even re teach you the lecture. But, she goes quite quick when teaching the material. If you go to open labs, do the homework and study really hard, you should do just fine.

Let me tell you, I hate math and am not good at it. However this class was great with her. She's super clear and tells you what she expects on exams. If you do practice questions you'll do fine.

310 is a dry course for some, but this prof makes it less difficult. She truly cares about the success of her students, and would go above and beyond for them. Easily accessible, great teacher, approachable.

Dr. Kouzniak is one of the most caring professors i have ever had. If you put the time and work in you will succeed in this course. If you don't understand something go to her office hours, she cares and is willing to put in the work for her students.

Dr Kouzniak is one of those profs who make Uni what its truly all about. There's no shortcuts in her course. She seems tough on the outside in her lectures but if you speak to her after class, this is by far one of the most caring profs I've ever had. Examines you on what she tells you and wants students to really succeed and improve no matter what

Great prof. Makes you work for your mark, very accessible outside of class. Is great at explaining how to solve questions when approached for help.

She us honestly one of the best professors ever. She cares alot about her students and she will even go out of her way to help you. Just keep one thing in mind, work work work. If you put in work, go to her office hours or schedule appointments, and be super active in lectures, you will easily get an A or an A+ in her class.

Perhaps the most caring professor you will get. She gets to know the students, and will make you feel good when you do good. However, she is really difficult and will really push you to understand the content and even go beyond. She makes you work for your mark, but its worth it in the end.

Really nice prof, answers emails and is understanding. Gives a lot of part marks for work/ showing some understanding. Some lectures were hard to follow/confusing but overall got through it!

For someone who is not that great at Math, Dr. Kouzniak has really helped me learn the materials and is very accessible outside of class as well. Although she is strict, you can tell that she's only doing that for her students to learn and get the most out of her class. Make sure to attend her lectures, and redo all her lecture questions!

Dr Kouzniak may seem a bit intimidating at first; however, she does care about her students doing well in class. Math 150 is quite difficult if you don't invest the time to practice the material. The lectures are filled with a ton of info, but explained very well. Show up, pay attention, and don't fall behind on material.

Dr. Kouzniak is a wonderful professor and she truly cares about her student's learning. While she does seem a bit scary / unapproachable, she is very willing to help and make you understand things if you seek her help. Don't be afraid to take a class with her as she is a great professor and much better than most professors at SFU!

Dr. K might seem a bit rude initially, but she is a great prof and much better than most profs at SFU Surrey. Her lecture notes are really useful and so are the seminars. They might seem hard but studying those will help you prepare a lot and quite often, there would be similiar if not the exact same questions on the midterms/finals.

The course will only be difficult if math in general is hard, or you don't study for the material. Dr. Kouzniak gives A LOT of material that you need to do and can study on, but if you manage your time then it will not be that bad.

She seems very scary at first, but she really does care for her students and wants them to succeed. Her notes are very detailed and filled with examples relevant to the quizzes and exams. I found the midterms and finals to be very fair, should not be too much of a challenge if you've kept up with the lecture notes and seminar/WebAssign questions.

Natalia is an excellent prof. She seems dislikeable at first, but she's very caring and understanding. Quizzes sound tough but they're fair. There's never any surprises so if you studied the notes and practiced, it will pay off. Exams are the same. First assignment is hard but don't let it get to you. Good luck!

It's easy to get the impression that Dr. Kouzniak is mean because she's very blunt and doesn't sugarcoat things whatsoever. BUT, she's an extremely caring professor and if you go to her office hours outside of class she's glad to help you understand the concepts and succeed in the course. Her tests are not super easy but they are fair. She's great.

Dr. K is a caring professor who explains the material well and is pretty funny at times. She does not allow laptops in class and is strict about anything that causes you to not pay attention in class. Go to lectures because she openly says what you need to know and what questions will be on the exam. She may seem mean but she cares about students.

Don't be afraid if Dr. K comes across as intimidating at first. She cares for her students and is hilarious in class. She is extremely organized, with pre-recorded videos, lecture notes, and quiz/exam/assignment solutions all available on Canvas. Make sure to practice seminar and webassign questions, and you will be well-prepared for exams.

Doctor Kouzniak goes above and beyond to help students, as long as you tried your best and checked all the lecture notes and everything. There are filled lecture notes and solutions, so it's okay to sometimes skip classes. There are weekly quizzes, which are only worth 10% but forces you to study. Midterms and final exams were surprisingly easy.

Dr. Kouzniak really cares about the students in the class, she had many office hours that were available and is willing to help you improve. She may come across as blunt often but she does care about the students in the class and is willing to spend extra hours with you on understanding concepts and the materials.

Very passionate and clearly loves teaching mathematics, enjoyable lectures ONLY when she finishes on time. Pre-read or pre-watch everything on x4 speed with captions before lectures, just in case she doesn't finish. The class would have been easier if she structured the content she taught to match the time she has to teach.

I found her lectures very informative. She will say to rewatch lectures, do lecture examples, seminars, and go over quizzes for midterms, MAKE SURE YOU DO THAT!! It is very useful and will help you in the long run. My advice for seminars? Skim all the questions & have an idea of the steps/process of solving questions. It helps to understand.

Do lecture examples, redo quizzes/exams, and fo seminars, it is VERY similar to the midterms/quizzes/finals. Go to every class, she will say things that will help that she doesn't mention on her pre-recorded lectures. For seminars, my advice is to skim the questions & know the process/steps to solve those questions. It helps with understanding.

Lectures are relatively easy to follow and are recorded. Lots of homework, webassign and written. Lots of office hours in the calc workshop if you have questions. A lot of exam and quiz questions are taken directly from homework and seminars, so make sure to attend and do HW! Really nice prof, although she gets ticked off easily during seminars.
