The test have nothing to do with the lecture in class or the book.The only way people pass in her class is if she does a curve.

Her lectures are never on topic (she likes to talk about herself A LOT) and she tells us to study for things that aren't even on the tests. And she wonders why practically everyone fails her tests. She deserves to get fired, and hopefully she will soon.

Next to her, rottweilers are nice.

If they were to write a book about this horrific professor, they would call it "The Abominable College Professor".

Spends half of the lab going over procedure for experiments and then expects students to complete the assigned experiments before lab is over. It seems that she does not look out for the best interest of her students; doesn't give good reviews for lab practical; doesn't remind students of quizzes.

She was the worst teacher I've ever had at BCC. Some of the test questions could be found neither in the textbook nor in her lecture. Even though she was aware of wrong info. in her lecture, she was still teaching her class with the same wrong material. One student even accused her of it.

She was very hard, she would give notes on things that wouldn't be on the test...hard grader. I wouldn't take her ever again!

She reads off of the projector, she runs through the slides so you can't get it all, won't answer your questions, doesn't review for tests, no extra credit, test based class, doesn't help you in the lab, doesn't remind you about test/quizes.... Prof. O does not teach at all. I do not understand why she is in the science field. The class is very boring and 45% of her student barely passed the class. She does not explain anything. You'll be crazy if you take her class. I'm telling most students either audit out, withdraw, flanked or barely made it with a low C. BE SMART AND RUN AWAY!

This one of my most difficult classes, I wouldn't say hardest just DIFFICULT! The professors teaching methods are extremely difficult to follow. If you study the power points and the everglades handbook you will pass the class. She does not really teach from the book, actually her info & the book often contradict each other. I can't believe I didn't read the reviews before attending this class. All these reviews are accurate. I registered for the blended course (online/house mixture), and I was afraid I was going to fail. If it wasn't for the extra credit, I would have failed. I studied extremely hard, and long hours for the exams and I still barely made it.

Might as well not show up to class. You'll have to teach all the material to yourself in order to pass. I passed with an A but in no way should anyone's intelligence be measured because of this class. It was difficult. I suggest to take Chemistry instead. This professor lacks teaching skills. Don't take her class. You'll regret it.

Very horrible. The lecture which covered more information was EASIER than this. I had her for lab and her exams were mostly fill-in-the-blank. The quality of the exams were horrendous. You can BARELY see what the arrow is pointing to and sometimes she uses a pencil to draw the line. It's very unclear. I learned absolutely NOTHING!

I took this class online and would suggest a different professor. She is very slow to respond to emails. She takes at least one week to respond. Be careful with due dates, she will not reopen anything even if its her mistake. All her tests and assignments seem to be open over the weekend. She does give practice exams for the quizzes.

She is very hard when it comes to grading if you don't show up to the class for part of the group work even though you did your part of it you still get 50% while the rest of the group get 100. Don't take her she's horribl her test are super hard too and have nothing to do with the study guides she gives you.

I took this class online and should have listened to other reviews. She is a tough grader. It takes her a long time to respond to emails (well over a week) It takes her about 2 weeks to input grades. Case studies required which she grades heavy on and will take points off for everything, same with discussions. Tests are hard!

DON'T TAKE!!! Tells you all semester that you have time to bring up your grade yet waits till the VERY last minute and by last minute I mean the day AFTER grades are due. On top of being last minute, puts 0 for assignments you do and you have no time to fix it. First teacher I've had issues with. Shes all over the place and tests don't make sense.

I took Professor Osterhoudt class online, she gives 5 exams, 5 discussions, and 2 case studies. Now if you're looking for extra credit NONE are given and if you've missed any assignments passed the due dates, no she won't allow you to take them. She's a tough grader and she also takes days to reply back to emails. I don't recommend her.

Case studies are worth 75 pts, she takes 5 pts for every little thing. Practice quizzes are NO help for next exam. Doesn't respond to emails in a timely manner or sometimes not at all. If you ask for help or guidance, chances that she will help you are slim to none. No extra credit. Exam Doesn't test from book or study lessons. Studied for nothing.

Probably one of the toughest graders I've ever come across at BC. This professor makes you wish you took chemistry instead of easy environmental science. She gives you busy work and makes you elaborate as if you were writing a novel and takes points off for anything. I don't get the vibe that she actually cares about her students grades

Horrible!! Taking this class get ready to teach yourself!! At the beginning of class a quiz is given. For class work she gives out a little paper with 3 questions which is pertaining to the class lesson. Everyone has different questions so nobody learns the same thing in class. To past you MUST study. She gives extra credit for prelabs.

Let me keep it simple 1. no online text book 2. no clear form of communication on due dates for most assignments 3. Her practice "practice test" are useless 4. No you can't cram the night before, you will be guaranteed an F every time 5. Group classwork every single class (need i say more...) I know what your thinking it's no that bad-your wrong

This professor does indeed take too many points off for little things. Ive never studied so much for a class and still Have a bad grade. Even after weeks of no sleeping to male sure I knew the material. She makes some questions confusing and gives unclear directions when it comes to the assignments. She also reads off the PowerPoints.

Do NOT take this professor for ANY class. I took Microbiology lecture and Lab with her at Broward College South Campus and this is the first professor to ever give me a D in two years of college. She is a really tough grader and her quizzes are really difficult if you do not study like your life depends on it. I would study night and day and still get low grades on her assignments. Id rather stick a needle in my eye. Just pick another teacher. Tests and quizzes were hard for no reason. There would be material on them that was never covered. A simple homework assignment, that in most classes that would be graded based on completion, she would grade like a test. Who gets a D on a simple homework assignment...

She grades like youre in harvard, only youre not you go to bc and want to fill a requirement. Shes not flexible and assigns tons of work, tests are difficult.

The lectures were hard to follow, and not at all interactive. She does give extra credit though and the quizzes are easy, but Midterms and Finals are all fill in the blank. Nothing else so make sure you study!!!

It gave us 2 different books to study from. It never told us which chapter of which book to study. It never posted a single announcement to give us direction. Come exams, we were asked questions about topics we hadn't learned. It's a sorry excuse for a professor. I am normally a 4.0 student and she is the worst professor I have ever had. RUN.

She makes micro harder than it needs to be. She says tests will come from powerpoints but that's false. You won't know what to study! Lectures consist of her reading the powerpoint, saying um, ah, and basically. There is no format, no outlined objectives to learn. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.

She is the worst teacher I have ever had. She fails to teach but reads off PowerPoint and gives handouts to grade. The test was 50 questions with almost nothing being as she said "close to the PowerPoint". No one in my class passed with a good score.

The midterms/finals are nearly impossible to pass. She puts the weirdest questions on the midterm & final that are not even mentioned on the study guide. If you take her, expect to have to retake this class again. 1 quiz each week about the previous lab (easy if you study). Does not go over a PowerPoint or anything at all. Puts us straight to work.

There are other options. Trust

Strictly teaches from PowerPoints which forces you to find other outlets to learn. Jumps from one topic to another during lecture and is an extremely tough grader. Textbook was never used once in her class.I do not recommend taking her by choice but if you must, good luck.

Please do not take this professor for MCB. Take it at another school if possible because her grading makes no sense. The homework assignments bring your grade down and don't even get me started on the lab.. Overall, she is a terrible teacher and does not care about her students passing.

Mcb3020/30201 Microbiology is not that hard but she makes it hard. She will give no clue for the exam. The only practice quiz she gave is not that helpful either. Homework is worse. They take your grades down. Guess what? She doesn't care/ she tried to put the blame on us when she totally can't manage the class. Take the class somewhere else please

DO NOT take a class her! Exam opened on a Sunday with no prior notice. When asked, she said several students missed the exam. She didn't allow a make up. Clearly HER fault. School backed her up instead of the students. She updated the syllabus right away after the fact. Had received A's on previous exams, because of this my grade dropped to a C.

This course required too much knowledge of computer knowledge. Many assignments req. google draw, graphing etc. This is not a computer programs class. Heavy workload. Heavy workload/videos/projects/lectures. Many of us took these classes for the time constraint. Not set up for success. Grades extremely harsh. Does not reply promptly.

Don't say that we did not warn you! Don't take her. Believe me. Take this course somewhere else. You will thank me later!
