Lots of work assigned every week but is not clear with her expectations. Doesn't really teach, just expects you to read a lot and understand everything. Online assignments include 2-3 readings and a movie, topic post, discussion post, quiz, and reflection. Every. Week. It's exhausting on top of other classes and is too much work for a GE class

DO NOT take this course. Besides having multiple assignments due by the middle of the week, she is rude and does not give clear explanations on what she expects from us. In one week you were assigned a good amount of readings, discussion posts, critical thinking questions, and viewing material. The syllabus doesn't even state all she expects.

If you are only taking one or two classes total, this class might be interesting and the subject matter is important. However, If you're like me trying to balance this class with 5 other classes while raising two kids as a single parent I highly suggest going another way. The amount of work insane. Good luck. May the odds be ever in your favor.

She wasn't rude or made me feel dumb for not knowing something. In fact, her zoom sessions were extremely helpful and she was really nice. I like her teaching style but there is SO much homework. I don't recommend taking the class if you have to take more than 12 units or have a busy work/family life. She does curb the tests which helps.

If you want an easy A for a GE this isn't the professor to take. She really makes you work for your grade & everyone hated how hard she made class considering it was a GE. But if you care about the subject, you will learn alot since theres ALOT of reading. Lectures are hard to follow since she makes everything sound scripted but shes a nice person.

This is BY FAR the worst class I've ever taken. AND ITS A GE. She was unbelievably rude and would publicly humiliate us in class. She forced us to have a "picture day" and took pictures of us on her personal phone. She assigned an outrageous amount of work and multiple 40 minute presentations where you'd have to act as teacher. She does not care.

Don't take her if u don't go to class, attendance IS mandatory (25% of grade). Rly interesting topics but LOTS of reading and pop quizzes. Class is mainly discussion, which are interesting. Definitely manageable but this is NOT an easy pass. Only take if ur ACTUALLY INTERESTED in the topic and are WILLING TO READ. Not hard, just work heavy.

U guys lied to me! I took this class because it was the only class left and the reviews seemed good. Nobody mentioned how the reason why it was a empty was because so many people dropped it. She is a super tough grader with very high expectations Be prepared to write the 85-100 page journal and read HUNDREDS of pages by the end of the semester.

Class was very hard to keep up with the amount of reading every night and homework due every class session. Attendance mandatory that are worth points and textbooks are borderline mandatory. Also can't use electronics to take notes or you get marked for it. Don't take this course if you think it's going to be an easy elective.

The class material is very intriguing, however, the amount of course work for the class wasn't. I would skip this class if you have a heavy work load in other classes. There are mandatory readings for each day the class is scheduled. The journals you have to write in range from 6-10 pages.

Overall I really liked Professor W. The class is very interesting but be prepared to read. The readings are mostly long and there are at least 3 a week and sometimes more than that. She gives random reading quizzes and collects homework randomly. Writing 6-8 pages a week in a comp. notebook was a part of homework and attendance is a part of grade.

Horrible attitude. Provides us with a large amount of work to complete in such a short amount of time. When not meeting her standards she'll intentionally humiliate you in front of everyone. Ranted saying she feels like she's teaching high schoolers yet treats everyone like children. She encouraged me to drop the course and rolled her eyes at me

Seems like she REALLY doesn't enjoy teaching a GE class. Weekly writing work and lots of reading, then in-class discussions. Participation matters so show up prepared for every class, or face the consequences. Her curriculum is excellent but her teaching style is impersonal (at times abrasive) but she's not awful just a really hard professor.

She has a great interest in Women's Literature!! Her analysis of the readings is great. Yes, the work is a lot but once you get the hang of it, it is not that bad. You just have to keep up with your readings, journals, and CTQs, which is not much work. The ratings on here make her seem like a bad teacher, but she is honestly great.

The professor is pretty strict on what she wants; for instance note cards they have to be the right size unless you want points taken off. The class in general is easy (watch movies then write in journal) but it's pretty time consuming.

This was her first time teaching LTWR 203 and she killed it. She's very knowledgeable in literature and knows how to get you to understand it. If you can't keep up with lots of reading per week and journal writing, this class isn't for you. You will have to buy your own novels, but they're inexpensive and there's only two.

I enjoyed this class, but she is a tough grader. For our final project, my group followed all directions and did A-level work according to the rubric, but we got a much lower grade. She said if we were happy with our grades, we could skip the final exam. If we had known we would get a lower grade on the project, we wouldve taken the exam.

I think this class has so much potential to be interesting and engaging, but Professor Wilson is incredibly rude. She discourages participation and talks down to students. So disappointing because the content of the course was great. I talked to other students from this class and we all felt she was incredibly disingenuous and mean.
