Impossible to learn from. Doesn't explain things well. Only does examples, doesn't show how things are done.
I can confidently say that this teacher has some serious psychological issues, that should be treated. Unfortunately we had to witness it first hand. Her ability to teach the course is lacking Natasha do us all a favour and find a new job.
Has a good sense of humour, and is usually clear. gives more homework than you can possibly DO though!
A helpful and knowledgable teacher who has realistic standards. Don't expect to pass - or prosper - if you are an incurious loser who should think twice about college
Like everyone said, brutal tests =) But she's pretty good w/ showing how questions are done, going over questions and lots of examples, sample tests are usually fairly accurate of what the real test will be like. Too harsh on ppl who come in late tho =)
One of the worst. Exams questions are terribly time consumming. You'd never learn any true style math from her courses if you are going into applied science. Just memorize things she says important if you want good marks from her course.
Never take her class. The notes go by so fast you look up and you are already so far behind, you can't catch up. Extremely hard tests also
instead of TRYING to be funny, should spend more time doing quality lectures. A teacher with computer science knowledge would be much more helpful.

Worst teacher I ever had!!!! Tests are nothing like the question from the book and are super hard. Notes dont make any sense. She goes way too fast when shes explaining things. If you want to take her class you must be crazy!!! DONT DONT DONT!!!

I know her type; inadequacy of her intelligence must be hidden, therefore, she must over play to be appear smart. She has not bad memory, on the other hand her logic, she isn't adequate to do Mathematics. Her hard work and her good memory helps her Math.

Very nice lady, not a great teacher. She has good office hours to help but explanations could be more clear. Exams are hard, but the class is meant to be hard. Take her, don't take her, you won't miss anything, but you won't be amazed either.

Exams are very hard, 2 midterms and a final, stupid term project, homework assignments everyweek that must be handed in, math that she teaches you will probably never use for teaching elementary school, do not take her as a teacher if you want a good mark!
She is kink od helpful when you have a questions to ask, however, when it comes to test, it is just dreadful. I thinks she eagers to garnish student's grade as much as possible by giving us hard questions

Although she is tough on midterms (which you have to study HARD and THROROUGH), however, when you are doing final exams, you will find out the final is much easier than midterms...

VERY HARD COURSE. 12 to 20 hours of homework must be put in per week for assigned work. Midterms are hard, average was 42%, but unfortunately is needed for Education PDP. Take few courses when taking this, summer if possible! Lectures a bit unclear, but good office hours to get additional help.
I had an A in Math 12 and went took this class and was completely lost. Don't take it unless you are a math wizard. Hard teacher, difficult course. Definitely not a student friendly course. Take another teacher if possible.
Changed my career direction b/c of this class as I thought I couldn't do math even though I came in with v. high grades. Her style of teaching is very poor and unclear. I wish I would have known about her before. Avoid at all costs unless you love a challenge in more ways than one. nice person.
Ugh. I am no math major but this course really left me hating numbers. Prof friendly but cool, will spend extra time explaining things, but unfortunately the expectations and quick pace leaves little chance. I thought she was cute.
Horrible! Nasty Natasha sucked all the fun (what little there was) out of math. She left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. She picks on people (not me) so when I see her coming I take the stairs. This woman has a giant chip on her shoulder anbd takes it out on students. Don't take any of her classes, they are personal torture on top of math!
This class was the worst class I have ever taken because of the teacher, her lectures made no sense, she went on and on..... and made things way more confusing then they had to be. She was unfair and her tests were very hard, the majority of people failed which indicates her lack of teaching skills. I had to drop this class!!!
My first day in class. I was scared. There she was with the heavy expectations and the New World Order in hand. I can tell she's going to suck the life out of us all. If you plan to take this course, please be prepared for her tyrant ways!
I love her! Man, she may be a moderately hard marker from what I heard, but man she's hilarious! Man, she's so funny! I wouldn't wanna be on her badside though.
I see that evil sparkle in her eyes. Her classroom is the New World Order. I swear. No food, gum, drinks, etc. Break her rules, and she'll whap you with that flippity floppy ruler of hers. When she talks, she gets in your face and it's like she's talking to you.

her tests are unfair; exam on monday and her practice tests are sick arctan of 1/2 over ln(x) and she gives no credit for graphical or numerical solutions: oh and she only remembers your name if you have the same name as one of her cats! shoot me now or later.

Only attempt her class if you are a math wizard and just need the credit. She's nowhere near on the same page as her students. If math is at all difficult for you, try to get in with another instructor. If you LOVE a CHALLENGE (to put it mildly)--you just hit pay dirt.
If you think she's a hard marker, give your head a shake. Whose fault is it that you didn't explain your solutions? You have to be able to demonstrate that you understand, for example, WHY a limit doesn't exist or HOW the intermediate value and mean value theorems can be used to show that an equation can't have more than one solution.

Nice person, horrible instructor! She doesn't care that no one understands the content (untill they teach themselves from the textbook!) or that everyone is getting bad marks. Will only take your concerns seriously if you are one of the few ass kissers that she absolutely loves. Completely over complicates simple concepts.

Please listen when I say DO NOT take this course with Natasha. How can she be teaching this class to teach you how to teach when she clearly cannot teach herself. This professor let me tell you is by far the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. She is brutal in every sense, intimidating, and not very attractive to look at. Seems like a simple course but u gotta memorize all the formulas & work hard. Unattractive to look at. Tests are really hard compared to the text. 8 pages out of 50. 1st test, our class average was 45%. Gets off topic at times. Very funny and keeps u awake. She tends to make up random q's for the heck of it. Most of the time we miss our break. Bad!
She is a rigid marker. she tells you exactly what she wants and if u dont give it to her u will pay. Her practice exams are good practice for real exams. A powerfull understanding of material is required to get an A. If she sees that you are working hard she will try to help you.
i had a blast with natasha, yes she is childish but it makes a boring subject like math fun. i acutally liked going to her class and i understood what she was teaching i just never did the homework until i realized i was at a 60 % next test i got 84 and i have only completed math 11 with 73%. so HA! shes fair.

Natasha is a great instructor and keeps time class awake. However, in her lectures, she goes really fast though examples. Even though she goes fast and you miss something as long as you ask you will get an answer. I would recommend her for those of you who have take Calculus before. Her tests are similar to her practice. Class is enjoyable.

I got B's and A's in math in high school and I can barely pass the course even though I get help from the math lab. Her exams are ridiculous and won't give you marks for doing a problem your way. As a person, she is great. As a teacher, not so much. She rushes through examples and doesn't really ease you into the problems. Our class had a 50% failure rate on our last midterm. And she told us her more than half of her other class did as well.
She was great as a person, but she seemed like rushing on her lecture, because she went fast on her lecture. This was a big problem because you have to get a clear understanding of definitions and concepts, since this is a math. I would recommend you to take other math class.
One of the worst teacher I ever had. She teaches the material very fast, and does not explain it. If you want to understand the material, you have to go to the math lab, it is going to be your best friend of the semester if you have her as your teacher.
Worst instructor I've ever experienced. She teaches too fast. She is controlling and insulting. She arrives late and expects us to stay late. No breaks. The one good thing she did was to get in a sub a couple of times who was a thousand times better!

I wish I had read the reviews before I took this. I knew it would be hard but not this hard. I was pretty mad the first class when I found out the horrible expectation. No late assignments, no late anything. Class starts early and ends late and lucky to get any breaks. She expected people to sing if their phone went off. Didn't learn anything.
Math 1191 with Natasha was fun! She is a character!If she hadn't made the class so fun I would have had a hard time sticking to it because it is a lot of HARD WORK! She isn't the easiest to follow in lecture and goes very quick, but if she didn't we would never get through all the material. Two 3 hour sessions per week and 10-15 hours of homework.
Good person, not so good prof. Was constantly confused with course content, had to cough up huge for tutors. You mud use her methods, which aren't the easiest. Again, she's really fun, just isn't the best at teaching.

- Be there every class. You miss some vital information for every class you miss. So if you miss a class, next classfew classes might not make sense at all. - You have to really know the material to pass her tests. - Therefore, unless you are prepared to do lots of work over the semester, taking her course may not be so beneficial to your GPA.
Shes quite the character. Her lectures are a bit confusing at times, because she often explains concepts from a PURELY mathematical point of view. Also, lectures are mandatory! If you miss more than 6 classes, say goodbye to that 5 % participation mark. Her tests are quite long, and you can expect it to be a lot harder than the textbook.
Do not take this class if you want to be a school teacher. You do not need to be lectured about teaching by her. She is dictatorial and moody, seeking to be the center of attention. This affects the clarity of her instruction. I really like math, but she did her best to take that out of me. Register in the other math courses.

Point blank refused to provide answer keys for worksheets. Will only go over questions if you have a problem, so if you think you're on tract but are way off -- you're out of luck. Teaches theory-based rather than showing how to answer specific questions. I'm normally an A student and am really struggling. Never again with this lady.

She also sometimes skips some steps when explaining an equation. She thinks she's so funny by being "mean and evil." Don't take her if you usually struggle with math.
Natasha is a good prof. She really wants you to understand the material. If you ask questions she's happy to answer them. Her tests are hard, you have to study for this class, she'll throw 'thought-provoking' questions at you to use different parts of the material at once. She's funny but DONT show up late and she takes attendance every class.

Where do I start... First off, she does not know how to teach Stats 1160 to an extent where you begin to realize that she actually does not know anything about Statistics. If she is asked a question about something she doesn't know, she will begin to talk about random stuff. Basically, if you wanna be depressed for a semester take her class.
The worst proffesor ever. Needed it for nursing pre-req and I thought I was not going to pass. The midterm average was below 50 so she had to scale it up to make the average 60. After the midterm, half the class dropped out of the course. Luckily, I found a great YouTube channel who taught me better and for free.
Very nice person, but gets SUPER off track during lectures. Don't expect to learn much in class, have to self teach. Entire class was frustrated with her and her teaching style.. only reason I did ok is because I was good with math in the first place.
Nice teacher, but if you struggle with math in the first place, don't take her. She likes to skip steps assuming you know how to do it in your head. Her tests were the only up-side because she would use a lot of similar questions (some exact same) to her study guides. I only recommend her if you are a B+ or higher student in Math.

DON'T take this class with this professor. If you want to learn material during the lecture you wont. She makes easy concepts very difficult to understand and her writing is very messy. You will be self teaching yourself through the entire course. Her online quizzes are very short, you will have no time to check over your work. HAVE FUN!
Replies to emails instantaneously, yet takes weeks to upload class notes and test marks. Class notes are extremely messy, and she does not provide any examples that will be helpful towards the tests which she calls "quizzes" yet they are worth 60 marks and not even given half of class time to finish. They're marked very harshly, and vaguely worded.
Natasha is an amazing teacher. You can tell that she genuinely loves math and teaching it to others. The class is fairly difficult with some hard topics, but she explains well and will always stop and re-explain something if you get confused. Tests are difficult but she gives lots of practice exams that are fairly similar. She is lots of fun :)
Super nice, but not great at teaching. She goes super quick non-stop for the entire lecture and doesn't explain things very well. My peers and I agreed that we are basically teaching ourselves the class. Only marked on three tests plus the final which I don't like. The only positive is her tests for the most part aren't crazy difficult.

She really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. The class is really difficult but she is always willing to stay after classes to help students. If you show up to class and do all of the homework it helps your grade.
She is definitely a character. With our without her this course is heavy so just be prepared, she uses a grader for HW who is tough but she marks better and more fair, just get to know her and ask for help and work with your group/rest of class. Good practice exams
Natasha tends to move very fast with lectures. She doesn't explain steps in between and moves so fast that it's hard to keep up. She will also go on rants about the "new generation" and how we don't know what cash is and that that's why we're bad at math. I tried to go to her for help with the homework and she was very condescending. Stay away!
Natasha was a very difficult prof, her lectures are all over the place and notes are awful. Half the people dropped class after receiving first exam mark. Would not take her class again.
Natasha can be a quirky professor, but if you put in the work and engage with her teaching style, you can succeed. The coursework is challenging, but using resources like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook and attending study sessions can really help. Overall, a rewarding class if you're willing to put in the effort.
she explains things horribly, goes too fast for anybody to catch up, and when asked for clarification she does not help in the slightest!!! the homework takes ages to complete so say goodbye to your social life,, she sometimes goes on about irrelevant topics and sometimes will go over class time. shes a nice person but the class is horrible.
