Great professor. Only a few exams, never had homework, did in class assignements that were very easy. lectures were not hard to understand and told us what we needed to know for exams
Professor Fourquet is great! You can tell she knows her stuff and really wants her students to succeed. Her lectures are very easy to follow and she makes class a fun experience. There are 3 exams throughout the semester as well as in class assignments which are easy points. Overall, shes a very good professor and I would take her class again
Meh , the presentation was boring but she is nice.
Fantastic instructor that really helped me learn and love psychology. I am planning to major in psychology BECAUSE of this instructor. Lectures were super interesting and we were tested only on her lectures. She was very specific on when things were due and asked for feedback for assignments. Must go to class, because you will miss notes for exams.
Super easy class with only two non-test assignments. The tests are all multiple choice and really easy as long as you study the slides she posts.
So glad I took this class with Dr. Fourquet - all her exams are straight from the slides. Attend lecture, take good notes and you will pass with an A. I didn't buy the textbook, listened to her lectures and got an A. Plus her lectures are entertaining and not boring at all. Definitely recommend!!!!
BEST PROFESSOR EVER. Only mcq tests every month and ZERO hw, loved every bit of her class. I 100000% recommend taking her class.
Easiest class I took. Short lectures and easy to follow along. No HW, no textbook, 2 easy projects. Quizes were for extra credit. Incredibly chill. Tests were easy. If you show up to class and just pay attention, you should not get anything less than an A. 100% recommend.
Teaching is a gift, you either have it or you don't, and Professor Fourquet has it all the way.. I am an A student and have NEVER enjoyed any class as much as hers. I wish I can have her teach me every class I need till I graduate. Very precise, understanding, and knows how to hammer info into your head! A fun class with fun quizzes before exams
Loved her! She really is engaging and wanted nothing but the best for her students. This class is super easy just show up ( earn a few extra credit points for attendance points), take good notes, and ask questions. She makes her class really fun and adapts to all learning styles during lectures.
She is the best professor around. Very caring about her students and will explain what is on the test and do practice games. Her lectures are very interesting and i will 100% recommend
You just need to learn the powerpoints, attend the lectures, do the practice quizzes. Then it is an easy A. Overall , a great professor and I learned a lot.
She is the Best! She knows so much and care about her students. The way that she explains so interesting, that there would be no way for you to not understand anything (unless you are distracted). The course wasn't cumulative. Her exams are based on her lectures. I learned a lot from her. If you want to learn something, definitely take HER !
Took her PSY 200 course and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Weekly TYK quizzes, 4 tests, and 2 projects. It's almost impossible to fail if you put the effort in...
Dr Forquet was an amazing professor. Only 2 projects and the exams, otherwise no homework. Easy-going, exams are lecture and powerpoint based. Super nice professor who makes the material easy to learn and lectures are fun. I strongly suggest taking her.
Her lectures are heavy but they have good information. Her instructions on the projects were clear and her tests were open book but used respondus lockdown. There were quizzes every week and an optional project at the end and 4 tests.
This class was totally online for me so the lecture videos were very useful. Her quizzes are easy and you have one every week, her tests are long but easy as well, I barely used my notes for them. In general she is a pretty good professor and knows her material well.
Pretty simple class. Take notes and pay attention to lectures. Tests were done on lockdown browser w camera on to ensure no cheating. Not a lot of connection between teacher and students though. A couple projects, quiz every week or so, and exams w a lot of memorization. good teacher tho, easy to understand and follow. knows content well :)
Professor Fourquet was great. Lots of note-taking, but easy material. There are open note quizzes due each Sunday, and four exams. She does review quiz games before exams and they are so helpful. Also, no textbook required!
Pay attention in class and take good notes, tests are open-book. AMAZING lecturer, funny and definitely knows her subject, honest when she doesn't know the answer to Qs. She applies Psych principles in her class design to help you understand material. If you plan to do psych research, take her 100%. She specializes in research methods.
Held me accountable for something I wasn't responsible for. Overall she's a good teacher, but she is strict with grading. Her class was harder than I expected, which caught me by surprise.
She was great! Weekly quizzes where you can use your notes. Her lectures are very easy to follow along, I loved her class!
the most stressful class i've taken at NOVA, period. entire semester grade is made up of 3 very difficult (they're open-note and still impossible) tests and a group paper at the end of the semester that she grades extremely harshly. the class average on most tests were failing. i know this class is a psy req but take prof fourquet at your own risk
Shes a hard grader and there were 3 exams ALL TIMED required a lockdown browser. and 2 projects. and a timed quiz every week. No cameras were required during class tests or quizzes
3 tests all lockdown browsers with notes. Half of the questions weren't even related. Doesn't round up your grade unless you have .50 or higher.
Honestly, that was a very tough class for me, and she grades extremely strict.
Overall, Dr. Forquet is a good professor. She is very clear and very interactive. She seems to like when students ask questions instead of just letting her lecture. Her grading curve is strict and she does not offer traditional extra credit to boost your grade. She speeds through lecture so it is best to rewatch her lectures on zoom at 2.0x speed.
The professor was nice and passionate about the course. Unfortunately, I found her class difficult. She went through the lectures quickly and we would be tested on things she sometimes briefly said and I wasn't able to take notes on everything. There were 4 exams(lockdown browser), 2 projects, and weekly quizzes. Must have good memorization skills.
If you need a psychology class take this one! She is an amazing professor, her lectures are always interesting and her slides aren't overwhelming. Her teaching style makes it easy to learn. Assignments and exams aren't hard, just study and you'll pass. She also gives extra credit for attendance at the end of the semester.
She's such a good professor. Most of our grade is based on exams but you'll do fine if you show up and study before hand. Weekly TYK quizzes and extra credit for attendance at the end. She also tends to dismiss class early but goes through the notes fast. Two projects and four exams.
So I know there are a lot of good reviews for this Professor, but unless you have a fantastic memory, Psy 200 is stupid hard with her. She does not give any homework outside of class and has no study guide. The lectures are heavy and prolonged, and anything from the lectures is up for grabs in the exams. She DOES NOT do extra credit. don't take her
The way that she acted in the class is like she's never been the student at all. She explained her lecture really quick and you can't take a note. She doesn't care about her students.
No doubt she is amazing. If you take notes and study them there is no way you will fail the tests, not a lot of hw and it's not just an easy class you also learn in her class. She is professional but very nice. def take her if you need to take psy.
This Professor doesnt provide any outside information. Expects you to just study a recording of the lecture. Theres a project based off a movie but still made it harder than it was. Doesnt like to hear students feedback. I would avoid this.
The exams literally were so different from the recording lecture slides. This class could be improved better. There are 4 exams and only 2 projects that are difficult to understand. When asked questions, didnt help. If you are taking psy for the first time dont take this Professor. Avoid the trouble.
This class was pretty easy. As long as you take notes and listen during the lectures. You'll be fine. The homework is just a short quiz once a week, that only takes a few minutes to do. Also, the tests weren't hard, as long as you pay attention and understand the material.
4 exams 2 projects, one optional. Engaging lecture and amazing personality. You HAVE to show up to every class and take notes if you want to do well on the exams. You get extra credit for attendance too. Put in a bit of work and youll do great :)
Tests/assignments are directly based off of lecture. No need to buy textbook if you show up to the lectures. Attendance isnt graded but you get extra credit if you have pretty good attendance.
She is amazing, nice, and understanding! Her lectures are so interesting and she explains all the concepts very well. Very easy to understand concepts. Workload was light. Short quiz every week and 4 tests the whole semester. Just make sure to take notes during lecture and you're good. Highly recommend taking this professor you will enjoy it.
Class was very easy, perhaps too easy. Other than that, this is a compelling course. I think Professor Fourquet is an extremely talented professor. Simply coming to class and being attentive in her lectures is enough to suffice. I would highly recommend both this course and the Professor.
Fantastic professor. Knows how to lecture v. read from slides. Covers material fast, but the inflection of her voice changes for things that are important. Some things she even makes quite clear it will be on the exams. Opportunity for extra-credit with every exam. Class requires you to study. Use the PowerPoints that she posts online!
She moves too fast for notes, but she does put them up online. The tests and projects are very easy, just make sure you study what she goes over in class. She knows what she is teaching, but when asked a question she doesn't really give an actual answer if it's not something she was going to discuss anyway.
This class is for audio learners. DO NOT miss class. She does not go by the book. STUDY EVERYTHING. Questions she tests you on can be very tricky and misleading. Her engagement hours are Q&As ONLY. Most of your grades are based on your quizzes and tests. Lecture is PHENOMENAL. Tests and quizzes are hard. She does not go by the book.
I would not recommend her. Her lectures become confusing because she is very fast-paced and covers a lot of material in such a small time frame. Her tests are nothing like her lecture. Her grading scale is unfair to do to her exams being 60%. She uses lockdown browser for testing. Has weekly questions worth 20% of the grade.
She didn't give us that many assignments, i'd recommend her if you enjoy quizzes. I didn't enjoy them because they had a short time limit and many questions. And they were worth most your grade.
Class is lecture heavy, but they are well done and interesting lectures. Still, if you aren't good with lectures, she may not be for you. 4 exams, 2 projects + extra credit quizzes. Also, extra credit is given for < 2 absences. If you attend class and pay attention you won't need the textbook. For me it was an easy A. 10/10 would recommend.
This class only consisted of 3 exams, 1 project, 10 quizzes. Quizzes and project grade will not help your grade. Tests are heavy. Notes not posted so you'll need to write fast. I would avoid her at all cost if she's the only professor available take this course another semester.
Emphasis on Inspirational because she inspired me to become a Psych Major!
Professor Fourquet was very knowledgeable on the topics and made them simple and easy to understand. She's funny and engaging, and never seemed annoyed or irritated when anyone asked questions.
Professor is a tough grader. She doesn't make instructions clear for assignments and projects she expects you to do it the way she wants. If you ask questions, she gets annoyed and tells you to ask a classmate or figure out yourself. Study guide doesn't help for taking exam. Graded on few. Exams are lockdown browser. Take at your own risk!
Prof Fouquet talks REALLY fast to the point where the information she is saying doesn't stick. There are quizzes every other week so be ready. If you like fast and speedy, this is a class for you. If not, I recommend taking someone that's easier
Talks super fast, hard to get all the notes down. Posts slides but leaves some blank so you have to get down majority of notes in class. Personally though, the way she would give out examples on the vocabulary, would be real life situations and made easier to understand. 4 tests, extra credit quizzes, about 10 test your knowledge questions
Extremely difficult grader with little guidelines. DO NOT TAKE HER.
Dr. Fourquet is honestly a nice lady and her lectures are very interesting. The way the class was set up is organized, the only thing I would be aware of is she is a tough grader. It is also very test heavy, personally I'm not a good test taker so that was challenging. She does provide extra credit, but still. The test/exams are lockdown browser.
Phenomenal teacher. Gives really good real-world examples of everything she teaches. 4 exams. Has "test-your-knowledge" quiz every week or every other week, which you do at home. Has extra-credit quizzes the class before an exam that gives you up to 5 pts on the following exam. Also has 2 projects which are very easy, with one she made optional
has 11 TYK quizzes that's due every Sunday and there's always an extra credit quiz for her exams. Finals are not cumulative and she gives a lot of analogies for her lectures
Dr. Fourquet is honestly a nice lady with her lectures being very interesting. The way the class is set up is organized, the only thing I would be aware of is she is a tough grader. It is also very test heavy, personally I'm not a good test taker so that was challenging. She does provide extra credit, but still. The test/exams are lockdown browser.
One of the highlights of this course has been the emphasis on real world application of psychology concepts. Professor Fourquet often shares relevant case studies and current research, which helps bridge the gap between theory and practice. She is incredibly supportive and passionate educator. Thank you, professor Fourquet, for your dedication!
I am currently in Dr. Fourquet PSY200 Class, Class consists of 4 Exams first exam has a study guide, and Test your knowledge quizzes (TYK). TYK Quiz are open note and typically assigned once a week, these quizzes take no more than 10 minutes...Easy Grade. If you like Psychology you will love her, take good notes and study, you will get an A!!
Dr.Fourquets intro to psych class was by far my easiest A this semester! Clear instructions and teaching style , very engaging and overall very lenient :)
Great teacher dont sleep
Great professor! Lectures were clear and organized. She was always available outside of class and replied to emails quickly. Grading was fair, with clear instructions and expectations for assignments and exams.
A 3.8 is crazy. Dr. Fourquet was a spectacular professor. Her classes are lecture heavy, so if you don't pay attention in class, good luck on the exams. Exams are straightforward, as long as you pay attention in class. Assignments are easy, as long as you pay attention in class. And she is caring, respectful, and sweet to each student. 5/5, 100%!!!
Overall, one of the best professors I've ever had. She is an expert in her field, so it was easy to learn from her. She gave extra credit! As long as you go to class, pay attention, and do the work it's an easy class. I would pay out of pocket(that says alot)to take her class. The way she broke down the lectures made it easy to grasp.Take her class
Prof. Fourquet has great lectures with plenty of slides. If you take good notes and pay attention in class, you will do just fine! The class is simple, but it is not an "easy" class - studying outside of class is definitely needed. It's very lecture-based, but there are opportunities to speak up - she answers questions about psychology really well!
Now, when I first started to take this class and saw the reviews I was a bit skeptical but after a few months with Professor Fourquet. She isn't as bad as the reviews put it...though I will admit this class was pretty hard to do if you don't study or take notes because if you don't do either then you will fail.
This professor and her class is amazing! The assignments consist of 4 exams, 4 extra credit quizzes, 2 projects, and at-home quizzes every week that take 10 minutes. The course is not difficult and assignments are well explained. Just take detailed notes from the slides and you'll do well.
I enjoyed taking this class, I looked forward to her teaching. Shes very detailed and provides examples when teaching. The course itself it not very difficult but there is a lot of material. She's strict with deadlines and takes 5 points off for each day its late. Other than that, I would recommend her to anyone & I would take her again shes great.
She is a wonderful proffesor!
I had the best time with Professor Fourquet. I personally enjoy learning about these things, so I may be more on the biased side, but from my experience she was very engaging, a little fast on notes, but knew how to keep attention. One of the best professors I've had while at NOVA, would definitely recommend if you are deciding between teachers.
Professor Natasha is an exceptional educator who truly cares about her students' success. Her passion for psychology is contagious, and she made complex topics engaging and accessible. I'm grateful for the extra opportunities she provided and her kindness throughout the course. She's an amazing professor who goes above and beyond to supportstudents
Dr. Forquet was always available to answer questions (regardless of relevance to lectures) after class. Taking notes during lectures was important (and some people say she talks fast), but you can always talk to her after class if you missed a slide. There was a digital textbook but reading it was not required, as the exams were based on lectures.
Her exams are worth 75% of your grade, so if you don't pass any of the exams, you will fail this course. I tried hard and didn't pass. I have zero respect for her as a professor, and it's a shame that people like her are even allowed to teach. Professors like her are depriving the students of receiving an actual education that we all PAY for.
Dr. Fourquet is probably one of the worst professors I have had so far. The reason I say this is because she puts no real effort into actually teaching Psychology. You would think that someone with a PHD in Psychology would have a passion for teaching the subject, but she lacks that.
Dr. Fourquet is an amazing and kind professor. She explains grading on day 1, gives clear lectures, and makes tough topics easy to grasp. Her exams are based on lecture and can be easy IF you study—don't let her laid-back style fool you. Extra credit helps. She's the best--if someone says otherwise, they probably didn't study or expected an easy A.
Professor Fourquet is an amazing professor, I enjoyed her lectures. But if you plan to take her PSY 211 course in the summer be prepared to study HARD, she does offer extra credit which is really helpful but the timing when assignments are due can be pretty inconvenient. The course was stressful but she is a helpful professor overall!
She did not grade things in a timely manner. She left the class wondering for weeks what we got on an assigment that she took forever to grade. When asking for help, she gave very little to go off of and none of her instructions were clear or made sense. She then accused everyone of using AI on assignments that she had no proof. Dont take her class!!
First day of class, she set expectations and grading criteria which was quite helpful. Additionally, the lectures are recorded so you can rewatch them to study. 75% of your grade is by exam so it is necessary to study. All of the things she said during lecture is on the exam which is nice too. I would absolutely recommend this professor.
Assignment grading took an unusually long time, which made it difficult to track progress and stay motivated. The class dashboard was disorganized, making it hard to locate materials and deadlines. Instructions for assignments were often unclear which led to confusion and required additional clarification.
Pretty Fair class, I loved how she would explain things very well. She's consistent with her grading she always grades a week after assignment was due and always gives reminders of when stuff is due and gives heads up when there is a quiz or project coming. The homework wasn't heavy for my class its more of a study for test type of class.
Dr. Fourquet offers a rich and varied selection of topics that keeps the course engaging and informative. Her lectures are always clear, well-structured, and easy to follow. Exams are easy if you attend class, all material covered during lectures are part of the exam. She is clear, transparent and consistent with class material. Great professor!
Professor Fourquet was open about grading policies on the first day, and consistent with posting grades. Very lecture heavy, but if you're a good test/note taker and genuinely enjoy learning psych you'll do well in her class. She also responds to emails quickly and respects when MOA students need to use accommodations :)
I really enjoyed PSY 200 and Dr. Fourquet's learning style. She is very lecture heavy but to really pass, just take notes and make sure to study the exams. She gives out lots of reminders with up coming schedules and gives lots of extra credit opportunities especially when it comes to exams. Homework was fairly easy too. She was great !
Professor Fourquet is honestly my favorite professor so far in my time at college. She does lectures every class with slideshows, test your knowledge quizzes for review almost every week, extra credit quizzes, exams are not cumulative. Very kind, willing to help, answers questions, very clear on instructions, so far I've had 100's for all my exams!
This was the worst professor that I've ever had. She doesn't explain things in a clear way, she keeps all her stuff on canvas locked until she wants to unlock it. Multiple times we had an exam but the exam wasn't unlocked or had a passcode she didn't share. You will not see your final grade until the course is over.! DONT TAKE HER CLASS.
Prof. Fourquet is an AMAZING professor! To claim that Prof. Fourquet does not explain things is just not true. The opposite is true-- her explanations are the reason i love her. She is so clear. Don't go into this class thinking is a easy A, do the work and you will do great! She is the BEST. Speak up, ask questions.
I was concerned prior to taking the class because of some of the reviews but after having attended her lectures it seems to me that some of the things that are said about her are very untrue. She speaks at a good rate and her tests are very easy as it's entirely based on the lecture. Mandatory attendance is also completely fair and makes sense.
Very good at breaking down concepts in a very understandable and relatable way. Nice and easy to work with. Shows a high level of interest and passion in the material which makes lectures engaging. Would definitely recommend!
Dr. Fourquet was an amazing professor she had a consistent basis of lecture and homework throughput the semester and offered extra credit before every test and an extra credit project. her lectured were what exactly what were on the test so if you pay attention you are good
Excellent teacher, loved taking her class. I hope to take another with her in the future! Make sure you take lots of notes- exams are completely based on lecture slides.
no...just no. She is not clear on grading and takes forever. Heads up- she offers a ton of extra credit, but it's because she knows you wont pass without it. She responds to emails quickly, but the reason you're emailing her is because she gave the wrong information and penalized you for it. Research paper is 20+ pages. You've been warned
I would recommend this teacher to everyone who is ready to really learn PSY. she's passionate and her lectures are the best! 100/10
PSY 211 is a difficult course but Dr.Fourquet made the class very manageable. She gives the most clear explanations and thoughtful feedback. She provides plenty of extra credit and when you put in the work there's no way to fail this class. She is very accessible, kind, and a great instructor. I highly recommend taking PSY 211 with Dr. Fourquet.
