Tests are open book and you can pair up with someone for it. Basically you don't even need to study for it really and get an A. She doesn't go over the material that much though but lectures are still interesting.

I love Mrs. Joplin she does a very good job. The class, Human Sexuality is the best and most interesting class I have ever had. And Mrs. Joplin is a really great and honest teacher. She is also alot of fun!!!

The class subject is fun, but she's kinda strict. Her grading is fair enough and her tests are easy also (because they're open book). Overall, I'd recommend her class if you're looking for a mildly easy A.

aww wow! If you want an A or a B. She is the one to take. I mean if you are not registered for her class, and you are on the waitlist, there is a good chance you can get in. She is very interesting in her lectures, tests are open book! Take her!

I don't know what the hype is all about, I first came into this classs thinking it must be great since everyone talks about Joplin a lot. Joplin is an interesting teacher but so are most of the teachers at DA. If you care about ur gpa, pic another teacher

she's a really kool teacher so far... test are straight from the book. look at the charts and memorize the true and false. if you heard that she lets you have a partner on the test.. dont believe them she doesn't do it nemore. kool teacher.. luv the class

Don't laugh, but if you tab your book you have it made! It saves you searching time during those open book tests. Great teacher! It's one of those classes that you look forward to going to.

She is the sweetest person on earth! She is not only a great instructor but a great councilor. If you pay attention in class and do your work, this class is an easy A. I would definitely recommend her. I wish more teachers were like this!

Rally cool teacher. If you have problem with something just talk to her and she let you present later on. Easy class, take home exams, only 3 exams and one final during class so no 2 hour final in her class. Open Book tests. Just come to class and enjoy it, its very easy and fun. VERY RECOMENDED A++

Obviously this is an entertaining class. Natasha is definitely the most popular teacher at De Anza, so get her class if you can. Lots of guest speakers and fun facts. A very sweet teacher. Only downside is that she is hard to reach outside of class, as she is also a counselor. TAKE THIS CLASS.

Joplin loves the subject, and loves to teach it. She's funny, knows her stuff, and doesn't take crap from anyone. She has really interesting speakers and loves to get the class talking about subjects. One class project at the end that is easy, and tests are open book. Take her!

Her tests are not that bad, cause they're all open book and some were even take home. She's really unorganized in her lectures, and a slow grader. She never told us what we got on our research papers and group presentations. Still, not that bad, if you're there and do the homework and read the book, you'll get an A.

it's a very easy class as long as you do your assignments correctly and prepare for the tests. You'll get your A if you're paying attention to her lectures and doing all the homework. Group project wasn't that complicated but it took her forever to grade it.

Umm...You know what, if you just sit and listen, then your stuck cuz what she lectures on is not on the test. But if you just read your book you can get an A. Thus, overall. The class was pretty cool. The Rambleing is intersesting and i liked the guest speakers.

She's super EZ but at the end I didn't learn much about the subject. Lots of guess speakers; she's fun 'n energetic. Her tests are EZ too. Juz make sure u write a good note for the test.

Joplin is a very cool woman and this class was great. It exposes people to many things they may not come across otherwise. She is not too tough grade-wise, but she expects you to stay on top of your stuff. Great class, great woman, and her daughter is BEAUTIFUL!!!! :)

even though i ended up dropping her class very soon into the quarter..i talked to her after about my progress in school and she helped me to figure out a plan to get my GE certified before i left this year.. GREAT councelor and super loud fun teacher (although alot of busy work in my opinion, i mean really who reads the whole book)

she is really fun and easy. there are three tests, they could be either take home or taken with a partner in class. she lets you know ahead of time whats going to be on the test. a lot of work but they are all easy if you do them. i definitely recommend her! FUN FUN FUN class

One of the easiest classes I had. We had 10 guest speakers, her lectures are nothing you haven't heard before, shows you videos that are old and stuff but you don't have to take any notes or remember any of it for the tests. Her tests are take home/openbookinclass, and very easy. You just have one presentation project that easy too. Easy A.

CAN ANYONE SAY "EASY A"??? this class is the ultimate GPA BOOSTER. Sure, the teacher is kinda ****y and moody on certain days, but there is literally no homework, 3 tests all open book/with a partner and she gives you the questions. Easiest A ive ever received! Take this class!

She is the most entertaining teacher ever! She gets your attention and the guest speakers are great. She is laid back, and very sweet. As long as you do the light amount of work you will pass the class with no problem.

I loved her!

She is an easy teacher. Just show up, do your work (which is really easy) and do good on tests (also easy) and you will do good in the class. theres one take home exam, 1 in-class partner exam, and one final, which is an in-class individual exam. you really need the book for the exams. you can't pass the exams without the book.

She is hot and spicy. She is easy and kind. But she does not teach anything in class. You read the book and appear for the exams./testicles, sorry tests. Sweet and sour teacher. Gives qs a week in advance of the exams. But messes the qs in the exam paper so bewared. It is not so easy as you think. Be prepared. But she is sweet and loving.

the class overall is easy. i turned everything in and passed two exams, bombed the last one but still managed a B. she's not that strict on attendance. just make sure you email her ahead of time and you're good. her tests are all open book so you can't go wrong there. the material gets interesting so i would recommend this class!

This class was REALLY easy. Everything is open book, so there isnt a whole lot to memorize. However, the lectures went over things that most people already know about. You will only learn something new if you yourself take the initiative to read the book, since its not really required for the class other than to look up the random facts for tests

laid back teaching style

People are being too harsh on her. She is a busy woman, as a teacher and a counselor, because she's always trying to help students out. She's not lazy; she coordinates so many great guest speakers and that takes a lot of effort. She prepares you for all the tests, so if you do the small amount of work, you're guaranteed a good grade.

ms Joplin is an energetic teacher who makes taking this class quick and easy. she isn't very lenient on grading or due dates but does give more then enough time to finish. i would recommend her to everyone i had no problem getting an A and i missed often.

She rarely gives out As, only if you talk a lot and stand out in the class. Even though i got extra credit and A & B's on my tests she gave me a B for the class. She's nice and friendly though

It helps to read the book ahead of time, tests are all textbook based. She gives you the questions ahead of time (but it's still possbile to fail the tests) Assignments & projects are pretty easy-speak responses, film, powerpoint presentation. 80% of class are videos and guest speakers. I recommend taking her if anything

joplin is one of the best teachers at de anza. whoever says she wasnt good, wasnt paying attetion in class. although she was late sometimes she had a legitimate reason, she is a counselar. but i learned a lot in her class.speakers were great and insightful. life changing class! i love joplin as a teacher an a counselar. she has helped me a lot

Extremely easy class. 4 speaker sheets, each 4 questions ( 6 sentences long). 2 exams 50 questions + 1 final 100 questions, pretty easy from the book. U NEVER use the book, besides for the exams, which 3 were TAKE HOME. She is very funny, nice, and clear when she talks. + 1 short essay base on movie (easy) + couple other short writings. TAKE HER!

She is a great teacher! Honestly my favorite class and teacher that i've ever had at De Anza. She is very nice and helpful especially when you go to her office hours. Her tests are easy! She provides you with all of the information you need to get an A on the tests... She is awesome, take her!

Im really confused why she has bad comments... she makes it crystal clear what you need to do for her class.. even though its on the green sheet she still reminds you when things are due... and the things due are few. and tons of extra credit opportunity if you slacked. if you got a bad grade in her class its because you literally didn't try at all

3 Open books tests. Be sure to write 7 sentences for your speaker response sheet. She is a bit intimidating until you get to know her. There was a bit of misunderstanding on my group presentation grade, but I went to her and explained myself. She is VERY understanding. As long as YOU take the effort to improve, you will do well in this class.

THIS TEACHER IS SUPER LEGIT! haha, She is so enthusiastic about the things she's teaching us and it amuses us ALL. She is late everyday, but we also have to be reasonable...her other class is on the other side of the campus. Overall, I LOVE HER CLASS.

Joplin is a great teacher and is very passionate about her subject. She is very clear about what she expects and takes her class seriously. Follow exactly what the directions outlined on syllabus and homework say and you will get an A. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities also.

She's a good teacher. She's very fun and keeps the lectures interesting. She's very respectful and helpful, which is why she's also a counselor as well. The workload is standard. The midterms were take home. Just keep up with everything and make sure you do well on the assignments and project and you'll be fine!

Took this class last quarter, got an A. Her exam questions aren't vague, it's called reading people. Yes she may be late to class, but she has other classes she teaches, (usually back-to-back) and works as a counselor. Go to class and read assigned chapters, it isn't that hard of a course. She is very approachable and clear about your assignments.

This class was very informative and engaging. She has a lot of interesting speakers come in and talk about different aspects of sexuality. There is one presentation over the whole quarter and a medium amount of homework along with the tests.

Don't listen to the whiny slackers who decided to take the class then slander Natasha when they didn't receive the As they were expecting. Yes, she is not an easy grader, but if you follow directions and put effort into your work, it'll show! I loved the speakers. Take-home tests, 1 group presentation/debate, fun extra credit opportunities!

Ms. Joplin is one of a kind. her class is about life, sexuality and so many things we think we know but we have no IDEA!! SUPER IMPORTANT class you will be surprised.. and learn a lot. Tests are take home and there is a lot of extra credit opportunities. Her speakers are live and for real, this is what college is about..

Withdrew from the class. Instructor is fairly open-minded, but does have her own political biases. Withdrew because it was not the class I expected. The use of a SPECIFIC textbook from ONLY the bookstore drew me insane. Extra credit is given out freely (which is not good IMO), class is disorganized. Switched rooms at least a dozen times.

She grades more on format rather than the quality. All her tests are based off the book and are also take home. We had speakers every week who basically taught us. She's very unorganized with student's grades. She sort of has an attitude problem and expects a little too much. Other than that, an okay class.

Ms. Joplin is a great teacher but she's also an amazing woman who is passionate about what she teaches and cares about her students. This is FUN class that you learn a lot in! Lots of speakers and activities. do the work and attend classes you will get a good grade! Highly recommended

She is an amazing teacher. Easy class, lets you have notes for quiz's and gives you take home tests. She makes it incredibly easy to get an A! Plus she's a cool teacher who is always willing to help you out with extra-credit.

1.)You learn so much more from the speakers she brings then any book can show you. 2.)Every class is fun and exciting with new information; Furry, BDSM, LGBT, etc. 3.)Open book midterm and final, because honestly you would pass it with or with out the book the lectures are so interesting, intense, and emotional it will be ingraved in your mind.

Great teacher! She's a bit particular about the format for her assignments, but it's mostly so that students actually spend time putting some thought into the questions instead of just spouting single word/sentence answers. The class itself is very educational, and the speakers are amazing.

Natasha Joplin was absolutely amazing! She cares so much about the success of her students. She used engaging informative ways to not only get the message across, but help in stick. She managed to creat a safe, open, and fun environment for learning. Her class not only opened my eyes to the world, but also to myself. I could never thank her enough.

She spent a large portion of the quarter bringing in speakers who taught me a lot about being open-minded and reserving judgement. Her tests are take home and quizzes are easy if you have good notes. Professor Joplin is a wonderful lady. Her class had awesome speakers, and her material was all straight forward. Side note, she very biased against the male gender and it shows with how she interacts with them. It was obvious she preferred to empower students of female gender in her class over the males in class.

I thought she was a great teacher! All tests/final were take home and all the homework was done online through connect. The answers were basically given to you as well! She also gives lots of extra credit opportunities (40 points max if you travel to SF for the Armory). Having speakers almost every other class kept things interesting. Easy A.

Her human sexuality class is a must-take! She brings in speakers often, and teaches on a wide variety of topics. She is also a counselor at De Anza and it shows because she is compassionate and understanding.

Took HUMA10 online and was an easy A if you do all the assignments. The only thing that messed me up was she switched due dates around so I missed like 2 in a row. Good for a quick grade boost but really interesting material.

She is honestly really easy! It's mainly reading and doing the discussions. But, the hard part are the quizzes. I feel like like the quizzes didn't really match with the reading. She does curve your grade at the end of the quarter. Great class to take, but beware of the quizzes!!

The online class is SUPER easy. Do the reading and take the quiz at the end (3 attempts for each question) . All discussion/hw is based off of the readings or your general give-your-opinion type of work. Some asks for references so be sure mention that or else you lose points. So easy to get an A tbh. I got a B+ just because I was lazy lol

She does not communicate, her work is easy, you can finish the revel assignments in a week so you don't pay the access code. few discussions, 500 words per discussion. simple work load, would recommend for easy A GE credits. gives little to no feedback, a little unorganized and posts random song links. overall you can handle this course by yourself

She was my favorite professor at Deanza. Shes hilarious, laid back and talks to us like adults. This was the one class I actually looked forward to. I recommended her to 3 other people and they loved her as well! Just turn in your assignments on time &youll pass. She is also a counselor and amazing help! I promise you will not regret her class!

Professor Joplin's human sexuality class was really great. The tests were pretty easy especially because you can access the textbook during tests. Professor Joplin's class is straightforward if you stay on top of the reading and discussions. unstuckstudy proved helpful for prep, alongside the course materials. Though communication could be improved, it's generally an easy A-level GE credit.

Ridiculously easy class. Assignments are a breeze and take very little time to complete. The course content isn't the most interesting, but I would still recommend this class for an easy way to complete a GE requirement.
