He is great! I took this class as a filler and because I enjoy psychology. After this class I changed my major to Psychology. Read the text, do the practice quizzes that come on the CD with the book, and you will come out with an A...that's what I did!

OMG he is SO HOT!!!!! I had the class at 8 (ugh), but with a bod like that I NEVER missed a class! oh, teachingwise he's great; he acts more our age than an older prof. just read and take good notes and your set

Great Teacher! Just study his notes and read the chapters and you'll do fine! He will pretty much tell you whats going to be on the exam. If you do good on the 1st 4 tests don't have to take final.Doesnt take attendance! Got A with no problem!

He's nice, funny, gives extra credit, but he can be a little confusing at times, but will always do his best to clarify himself if you ask. Read a little, study hard, and come to class if you want to do good.

A wonderful teacher. He explains the information extremely well and he makes the class very interesting. His test are easy (as long as you study the material he goes over). He is an absolutely terrific teacher.

Hot in that offbeat kinda way. Dont bother buying the book. If you go to all the classes and take really good notes, thats all you need & there is no excuse for not making an A. Doesnt teach straight from powerpt and gives lots of interesting examples. Great teacher. I'm takin all his other classes.

Nate is pretty cool! He always uses examples of sex when he can, which can be pretty funny. He drops your lowest exam grade, so you don't have to take the final exam if you have the grade you want. He offers many oppurtunities for extra credit, as well. Get Nate!! He's awesome!!

Relatively easy class.. doesn't give good notes so you have to pay attention but that isn't hard since he is decent looking...

Take his class! He is an interesting professor. You do have to study for his test and go to class in order to do good, but his lectures are very enjoyable. Overall it was a good class!

Very interesting! Really funny when he can be, always uses southpark or sexual examples. No quizzes, moderate hw, you do have to read but if you go to class he lectures and you'll remember his jokes that relate to the topic, it helps. I would love to take another class with him!!

This class was not the best b/c it was a night class, but overall interesting. Would take more classes with him. Only one exam! But he took attendance!

Weekly papers based off of articles (some are interesting, others are not, and he is not picky on the grading) and 1 final exam. The final was a mix of multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank and essay, not hard. Interesting class focusing on different ethnities and their experiences.

Mr. Vietor was a very clear professor. He actually teaches, and tells you the class before the exam, what to expect. He also gave numerous extra credit assignments, some hard, but some were like watching a movie. I would Recommend him. Interesting class.

Take this professor. Vietor is great. Intro Psyc is an interesting course. Tests are fair, and he curves major and gives EC.

Mr. Vietor is very clear. The test are a bit difficult though. He does however give a review list of things to study over. If you dont mind working, then you'll get atleast a C. He is funny and the class is actually interesting.

Dr. Vietor made this class so awesome. It's a discussion-based class, so the 3 hours went by pretty quickly. He does a great job of stirring and facilitating discussion. It's a very interesting class and he makes is relevant to everyday life. The only work is a weekly journal and final. That's all! Definitely take his class!

I had problems staying awake in the class. He has a very soothing voice and the lights were dimmed to see the overhead. If you attend class and take notes, you don't need to read the book. His tests were a little tough, definately learn the vocabulary. test quests were a little tough, had to think.

Loved his class! Learned something everytime I went, which was all but maybe 3 classes, not that he takes attendance. He gives alot of examples and interesting facts to make understanding the material easier. I would highly recommend him for social psych.

Great Professor! Easy to understand and interesting. Attendance not mandatory, but attending gives you greater chances of passing his class. Tests are on class lectures and out of book. He helps by highlighting what to study for before the test, and tells you what to make extra notes on in class. Highly recommend.

Deserving winner of the department's teaching excellence award this year. Only drawback is he teaches only late in the day when I would rather not be in the classroom.

Mr. Vietor is a WONDERFUL teacher. He has a very soothing voice and some people in my class would fall asleep...But he gives amazing examples and makes sure you understand what you're learning before he moves on. Easy & fun class. Just take notes for the exams & you're fine!

Uses really good examples in class, and even throws in some jokes here and there to keep you awake. An overall fun class that I would recommend.

I love this guy. He tells us stories about his life to relate to what we are talking about in class...and they are some pretty funny stories. Sometimes it can be boring..but he rarely keeps class in session for the whole alotted time.

Great professor. Tests are easy because he tells you exactly what to study before each test. If you don't do well on his tests or in his class, then you really aren't trying. He always does 8 point curves on each test. I didn't use the book at all and my lowest test score was 104. I highly recommend him.

The class is easy if you memorize terms in the book. The guy can be funny, but you'll have to go to every class to find his moments of humor. some classes will be very boring, others will be very intriguing.

If you have to psychology you have to take Nate!!! He is extremely clear during his lectures with great examples. He can be hilarious! His test are hard but there is always a curve. I love going to this class... and he's not bad to look at either ;)

Awesome! He picks out only the most interesting stuff for the tests, the only hard part of this class is the online quizzes for each chapter... Easier than psychology classes I took in high school!

Great class. He really understands and clarifies material well. Offers a lot of extra credit and the tests are right off the notes. On the other hand the weekly online quizzes are directly from the book. Really not a difficult class if you put some effort into it. Very understanding teacher. Take him.

This class as a whole was not too hard, however the weekly online quizzes could sometimes be a challenge but nothing to drop the class over. Also I did not really care for the Friday break out classes, I felt that they were a waste of my time. But the class is pretty easy just go to class and take notes

Pretty easy class. This guy really shows passion about psychology and also is very knowledgeable about the subject too. He makes quite a few sexual references, I guess to keep everyone interested. But nice guy, gives study guides for every test, do those and your golden. online HW due just about every week, but answers are on google!

This teacher is very nice. Before each class he always asks if anyone has any questions. Going to class is not required except on Friday's in the smaller groups. Online quizzes are difficult unless you read the book and the tests are somewhat easy as long as you study. He gives a study guide too. Overall a really great teacher.

Easy professor, if you want an A, do not slack off, even if you already took advanced placement in high school, I got a B when i should've gotten an A because of the Final. When final grades come, he will not bump your grade up, i've tried.

TAKE THIS CLASS! Attendance is not mandatory. You have a friday break out class and that attendance is EXTRA CREDIT! He's really helpful. You can get up to 40 points extra credit. He's funny too! Make sure to have the book. If you don't wanna go to class, the powerpoints are online and you use the book! It's SIMPLE!

He is pretty good at teaching. I had a great HS teacher, so I was lucky to already know the material. Read the book and know whatever is on the study guide. It is a basic and easy class. He is also very nice and is more than willing to discuss with you! Just ask questions.

nate is awesome! Theres 15 online quizzes that you get to take up to 10 times. Theres about 5 tests that arent any more than 20 questions. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he makes the class very interesting, and the test is based off what he says in class... not the textbook. He gives a study guide, and many opportunities for extra credit!

I had never taken Psych but had to have it for my major. I really loved this class and Dr. Vietor made it really easy to understand. He gave really good examples to help his students remember terms. There were tests every two weeks and online quizzes every week. You get 10 attempts on each quiz too!

He was a really good teacher. His classes aren't mandatory, but you get a lot of extra credit for going to the Friday "Break-Out Classes". Also, most of the information on the tests comes from his main classes. As long as you go to most of the classes you'll do fine.

He's a great teacher! His Monday/Wednesday classes aren't mandatory but the Friday BOC classes DO take attendance. He does give some extra credit opportunities. The online quizzes are usually every week with 10 attempts so make sure you take them. I recommend him!!

Absolutely loved him! Gives out so much extra credit! Though attendance isn't mandatory, you still want to go because his class is so interesting! Vietor was my favorite professor this semester. He is hilarious and keeps the class so interesting. He is very easy going and never takes attendance however I do recommend going to class because his lectures are very interesting and the examples he gives are very helpful. His tests are also very easy. I recommend renting the text book.

Overall this class was fairly easy. Attendance is not mandatory but a lot of examples he gives in class and some of the material isn't in the book but is on the exam. He gives you the opportunity to earn 20 extra credit points to your overall grade.You have to do an article review which he doesn't grade that hard.

Sucks I can only click "hot" once. Awesome personality. Imagine Dr. House teaching you Social Psych, yeah……Thats him. Very relax, funny, and patient. Just make sure you write down the definition and examples. They will be in the test word rd for word. Did I mentioned HOT!!!!

There is a lot of test and quizzes in this class. But if you know how to google or memorize well you will do fine. Also, there is a lot of extra credit avaiable. His lectures are well explained so GO TO CLASS.

Dr. Veitor makes psychology more interesting that I thought it would be. If you complete his study guides, you'll be good for tests. Attendance isn't mandatory, but being there is very helpful.

Dr. Vietor is amazing. Very clear and makes psych WAY MORE interesting than it is. Quiz once a week, a short test every week but if you do the study guide, there is no reason not to score an A. go to class if you do not want to read the book because everything he says is exactly how the test is worded.

Dr. Vietor is the nicest most down to earth guy I have met. He really connects his lecture to everyday life so you can understand the material. He is very genuine, just need to study and it's a pretty easy course. I would recommend taking this course.

One of the best professors I've had at ECU. As long as you go to class and study a little bit, his tests aren't bad at all. The midterm is a little more tough, buy not impossible at all. Such a fun guy to listen to his lectures and you actually learn a lot. 10 attempts on online quizzes to make a 100, offers extra credit too!

Professor Vietor, doesn't count attendance, which is a plus because the course isn't hard at all. The quizzes are online and easy to find, however the study guides to the test are not reflective of the test. I had to skim through the chapters and power points to create my own study guide for the test.

Vietor is a great professor! I'd highly recommend him to anyone taking psych 1000. He's really into the material, gives great lectures, the study guides are whats going to be on the test, attendance isn't mandatory, tons of extra credit and he's a pretty cool guy! Vietor's class is probably one of the best classes I had this semester. His lectures are interesting and he makes them really funny. The tests aren't hard, but there are not a lot of questions (around 14-20 on each test) so you have to really make sure you know the information. Quizzes are easy A's, and lots of extra credit! Go to class!

He drops like 2 of your lowest quizes... but there is no reason why you should get less than an A on the quizes bc they're online and most of the questions are on quizlet. The lectures are so interesting and goes by fast! Really don't need the text book dude.

I loved this class. I thought the material was interesting and Vietor is a great professor. We write a paper once a week, but no textbook, no tests and no quizzes. The papers are really easy too. The final was on the papers and if you went to class it was an easy A. I recommend Vietor and his class!

He only grades on stuff he teaches in class, never in the textbook. So you always know what to expect on the tests

There's a test every other Friday and quizzes online due every Monday but they're not hard as long as you do the study guides and listen to what he says in class. Has good lectures, they're really easy to follow along with and you get all sorts of info.

I've taken all of professor Vietors classes and wish he offered more! He gives amazing lectures, and tons of extra credit! He provides study guides for all his tests. The tests are usually composed of 50 multiple choice and one or two short answer questions. Make sure you read the book because there are many experiment questions on the tests.

Dr. Vietor is a great professor. His lectures are extremely easy and clear to follow along and he explains the concepts in depth to boost our understanding. Really enthusiastic about lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't take notes and study it's unlikely that you'll get an A because the tests are specific. Multiple tests on 23 chapters then the final is cumulative, but not hard if you study. Office hours are really helpful. I would get the textbook just for extra guidance.

Took Vietor for Psych 1000, and loved it, so decided to take him again. Weekly essays/summaries of past/present, political/social/cultural issues. Daily discussions of the articles. That's literally all the class consists of. No lectures, just discussions. No textbook!!! Never have to show up to class. 9/10 would bang.

Great professor. Lectures are interesting and funny so they really keep your attention. As long as you do the work you will pass. Tests are not too difficult as long as you study. Over all great professor!

He does give a lot of tests that can sometimes be difficult, but all the quizzes are online and he does make it so you can easily get an A or a B just by listening and taking notes. It really isn't that bad of a class.

Recommended! His lectures are great, sometimes he makes jokes or tells stories that are helpful in memorizing certain material. He makes the class interesting, just show up, take notes and you will do fine!

Professor Vietor is awesome! Best teacher I've had at ECU, his lectures go by so fast and he explains everything very well and gives examples to try to make the information easier for you. No need to read the book, the tests come straight out of his lectures/power points.

He's amazing. I never, I mean Never went to class after the first day and I got an A in the class. If you want to do this, you will need the book. He gives very short study guides, do these and you will ace all tests. There are tests every other week but they are only 16 questions or less and all of the material is covered in the study guide. TAKE!

I had Professor Vietor for Intro the Psych this past semester and he was amazing! He explains everything super well and gives loads of extra credit. As long as you do the online quizzes each week, study a little for the 6 short tests, and do some of the extra credit, you'll get an A with no problems. Definitely take him if you can!

He is the coolest professor you will ever encounter. He gives a lot of extra credit. Stays on schedule. One quiz for each chapter and can take up to 10 times. His test are not tough if you study with the study guide. His class is not mandatory, but his grad assistants are, but usually give extra credit for attendance. I recommend him 100%

The class is based on Quizzes (10), Essays (9), and a final exam. You NEED to go to class to listen to the lectures to pass the quizzes, it took me about 3 of them to get into the hang of how he asks questions. Essays are easy to get a 90 or 100 on as long as you try. He teaches it in a seminar style. So it was harder than expected, but not awful.

The BEST teacher i've had at ECU so far. Attendance isn't mandatory but I still went to every class because it was so interesting. Do your SONA credits before it becomes too late and take advantage of extra credit. the psych concepts are easy but on the tests don't expect to just know the definition you have to be able to apply everything u learn

Dr. Vietor gave me a good impression of what an ideal professor is like. His lectures were phenomenal, explains well, and is very knowledgable and excited about the subject. Tests are a little tough but if you study for them you should get an A. His grad assistants did a great job as well. Make sure not to procrastinate on your SONA credits.

Very funny guy who makes humor out of his lectures. Little bit of immaturity as far as his humor, but it keeps class lively.

This is a seminar versus a typical lecture. Therefore, you read long articles and write essays then talk about the articles in class. Weekly quizzes on the articles. However, if you're interested in social issues, this class is super interesting. He doesn't take attendance and there's no textbook.

Vietor is one of the best psychology professors at ECU. He's a good teacher and really easy to understand. His classes are super easy as long as you go to class and pay attention. He's also super nice and pretty funny at times.

You have a chapter quiz due every week (on quizlet) which are based off the book but I never used it. Don't need the textbook because his tests are on what he and your Friday teachers lecture about. He gives study guides and loads of extra credit. Easy A.

I took Mr. Vietor for Social Psychology and it was pretty easy and very interesting. I really liked that his lectures were fun and interactive. He gives opportunity for extra credit. If you skip a class, no worries, but I would suggest going. I really hope I get the opportunity to take him again.

Dr. Vietor is great. His class is lecture based but all the powerpoints are online. His tests can sometimes be tricky so studying is a must unless youre good a psyc or have taken it before. You only see him MW then on Friday theres a break out class and you meet in RAWL with a smaller class. All the answers to the online quizzes are on quizlet.

Dr. Vietor was a really good professor. You don't really need the book unless you really want to read the chapters. All of his tests are on material he covers in class and he does a great job going over everything. Make sure to go to the Test Prep Reviews put on by the PASC and you'll do fine.

I loved this class and Professor Vietor, he was a cool guy and at first his class may seem like it is going to be a lot of work but it really is not. If you go to class and use the study guides he provides for you you will do great. I recommend taking him!

His lectures weren't boring. You can skip class & still pass. I only went for the first 2 weeks & the last week. Please study the study guides and you will get an A! I did't study until the last test and the final and received a B-. Lots of extra credit! Def take psych with him bc if you put in 15 min of studying before tests its an easy A.

Professor Vietor was amazing! He lectures for 50 minutes on Monday/Wednesday then you break out into a 25 person class taught my a TA on Friday. Attendance is only taken on Friday and is counted as extra credit. He is super clear in his lectures and all Power Points can be found on Blackboard. He adds up to 7% extra credit to your overall grade.

Definitely would take this teacher again. He makes the lectures worthy listening to. You only have to attend his lectures two times a week and then have break out classes on Fridays. Quizzes are online and the answers are easily searchable. Extra credit is given out a lot. Tests are easy if you pay attention to lecture/study.

Dr. Vietor is a solid choice for a professor. He knows the material like the back of his hand. If you can get past the fact that he talks about sex at least once in every one of his lectures you will be alright. Online quizzes for each chapter with 20 questions but you get 10 chances on each one and only your highest grade counts.

Excellent lectures! His tests are pretty easy and the mid term and final are all multiple choice. Make sure you go to his class because he will basically tell you what will be on the test. Do his extra credit!

Dr. Vietor is a great professor. I would definitely take him again. You can take the quizzes up to 10 times and he drops the lowest 2 at the end of the semester. His tests are straight from his lectures, which are on blackboard so you really don't need to go to class but is recommended. A very solid choice for a professor :)

By far my favorite professor here at ECU. Vietor is smart & he knows his stuff. He is also super understanding. He gives the class a lot of opportunities for more points toward your grade. Will definitely be taking him again.

Honestly I very rarely ever went to this class and passed with a B+ easy. All his power points are online but there are some things he does mention in lecture that aren't on the PowerPoint. Lots of extra credit opportunity and quizzes are all online with multiple attempts (and all the answers are on Quizlet). Midterm and final are the only tests.

He's definitely a "breath of fresh air" when your semester load is heavy-comparable to a "low carb side dish". There were roughly 9 essays & pop quizzes (lowest pop quiz grade dropped) in addition to a cumulative final exam. Nothing that you can't handle. Do yourself a FAVOR and sign up! He'll crack a joke or use slang here and there. Laugh!!!

Vietor is one of the best professors I have ever had. He really knows his psychology and you can tell he want his students to do well. Just by doing the study guide I got an A on every test (super easy). Tons of extra credit is also given out.

Dr Vietor may be one of my favorite professors here. I took his Psych 1000 course. Easy A and lots of extra credit opportunities. I would recommend going to lectures because he gives a lot of hints on the tests. All online quizzes can be found on quizlet.

one of the best teachers ive ever had. thoroughly enjoyed every class. test every 2 weeks and online quizzes which is for your benefit in grading. You really need to study for them but its interesting and worth the time. didnt open the textbook once.

Pretty chill guy, he mostly talks the whole class but it's insightful and interesting. The class is pretty easy too. The only thing I will say is beware of the final exam due to how hard the class is to study for- it kinda blindsided us. Other than that, go for this professor

I thought this class was easy! Vietor was chill and interesting!! 9 short papers, about 9 weekly quizzes on lecture material. Be prepared to read, there are articles for each lecture and there were a few that were lengthy. The final wasn't difficult (I got 97) because I did the study guide. This class is tedious however it is simple to do well in.

You have to write 9 papers throughout the semester but they are very easy to write they are just summaries of articles, articles can be a bit lengthy sometimes. If you go to class and listen you will get 100 on the quizzes every time. He jokes around in class a lot and makes class worth attending!! Topics are also very interesting big plus

Dr. Vietor is a wonderful teacher! He gives more extra credit work than actual homework and really you have to try to fail this class. He will always make exceptions for you to take a test early at his office hours if you just ask, and he gives great examples during class to help relate the material to current events. I would take this class again!

He was a little weird but overall a funny guy. He made me laugh a lot actually. His tests are not that bad if you do the study guides and he gives extra credit. Overall I would highly recommend.

Professor Vietor's class is definitely worth taking. He is a great guy and makes sure that his lectures are enjoyable and engaging. I rented the textbook and referred to it occasionally but it's not used in class or anything. All extra credit assignments are easy and worth doing. He gives study guides for tests too!

You write 9 papers throughout the year and take 11 quizzes. At the end, there is a final and he tells you what is on it. He is very funny so the time passes quickly.

His class is easy. There are a decent amount of papers, but they are short and I've written them all in under an hour. His quizzes are weekly, but they are only 10 questions and as long as you read the articles, you'll do well. He is very lenient on grading.

Easy class and a great professor. He gives TONS of extra credit. His lectures are pretty interesting, so if you show up to class (which you don't have to) you'll learn some fun stuff. His study guides are vague compared to the test, but they help a ton.

Really enjoyed his lectures. Hes very open minded and doesnt give his opinion. Class isnt mandatory but he gives direct answers to the quizzes - 1 quiz every week. You turn in a paper about every other week so you end up writing about 11 papers throughout the semester.

Professor Vietor is a very well educated and funny person. He is happy to make arrangements for missed work and offers incompletes more easily than other professors. There are lots of articles to read that you have to write papers on each one. That is the bulk of the class.

Took Vietor during 8wk block. No textbook, only assigned readings that you MUST read. He utilizes packback for weekly discussion and responses. Posted many discussions onto canvas that helped a lot with the weekly reading quizzes and explaining the texts. Overall a great class and easy as long as you keep up with the work

I took this class during the Fall 8wk block. Weekly, there were discussions on packback (you would ask and answer questions) which correlated with the assigned readings posted on Canvas. These readings are necessary because test/quiz questions come from them. Do the packback correctly and read/study the readings and you will get a good grade!

Very easygoing Professor, who is willing to help when needed. I would highly recommend reading over notes and attending study groups to do well in course.

Very easygoing and knowledgeable about the course material. He was definitely the least intimidating professor I had all semester. Attendance was non mandatory for the lectures, but required for the breakout class that was taught by a GA. Tests are given every other Friday with a detailed study guide. if you study you will ace the test.

This class is all lectures and quizzes. The quizzes aren't that hard though because most of the questions are common sense. I haven't read a single article in this class and the lowest quiz grade I've gotten was a 70. He also drops the lowest quiz and packback grade. Packback is annoying but easy; 1 question and 3 responses.

I enjoyed this class with professor Vietor. We had weekly quizzes from the textbook with multiple attempts and 6 short tests along with midterm and final. Attendance was not mandatory but being in class was very helpful to understand material. He gave extra credit opportunity and answers his emails quickly and is very helpful with any questions.

I genuinely enjoyed Professor Vietors lectures. He has great energy. He also gives a good amount of extra credit. Study for the short test (some can be difficult) as long as you study for your tests and exams this class will be easy and quite enjoyable.

Nate was an amazing professor and it was a super easy class. Every week you have one discussion that is one response and responding to 3 people(but it's super easy). He goes over articles that you can read and you're quizzed on them every week but the quizzes are easy. He drops one discussion grade and one quiz. I def recommend this class.

Dr. V has been my best professor at ECU so far! Attendance is not mandatory but gives you extra credit if you attend the break out class. He gives so many extra credit opportunities and multiple chances for online quizzes. His lectures are very interesting. If you work on sona system ahead of time and study for the tests, you'll be sure to pass.
