Good class, the professor goes fast so it helps to read a chapter ahead so you can understand the lecture. While his "review" is only 10+ practice questions, it's most important to listen to him when he goes over it because that is where you are going to get the most info about what will be on the test. he's obviously passionate about physics.
I really loved this class even though I didn't think I would! I came into the class dreading physics cause its like physics you know, but I'm excited about all the physics he showed us. You do have to spend a few hours each week during homework, not an easy grade, for sure, but if you get into working at it its like you learn a lot for sure! :)
Doesn't care, I had to drop because of a hw grade, we did group work and used the solution Manuel to get by, over 80 difficult problems due by test day, he encourages drops. Gives a 10 point curve to your final grade, I wouldn't recommend him if you actually want to learn as we covered a chapter and a half every class in the spring. Go else where.
Tests are tough. Also assigns a tedious amount of homework problems and you would have to rework them out if you want to do really well on the exams. He obviously wants you to treat this class as if it's the only class you're taking. This isn't the class to slack off.
Worst professor ever who can't teach. Likes to waste time by giving out example problems and let you sit there for long periods of time when those times wasted obviously could've been used to further teach to make the materials more easier and understandable. Tests are nowhere like the homework. If you have weak physics background, don't take.
i would rather drive the extra miles and inconvenience just to avoid this professor
Great class. Prof Bezayiff really prepares you. Had him actually a year before last. I rocked my a &m classes all this year. Dont goof off, pay attention. Not for the faint of study, goota work hard
It is clear that Nathan Bezayiff does not enjoy teaching, in fact it is difficult to understand how he became a college professor. He does not know how to teach. Instead of explaining concepts, he gives 2 or 3 example problems for students to solve on their own while he uses his computer for the majority of the class. Useless. You're on your own.
You will be teaching yourself this course. Bezayiff teaches you nothing new and explains the bare minimum. He does not go into the concepts or give many real life examples. If you have some solid physics experience however, this is the teacher for you. All he does is example problems and if you do all the homework and watch youtube vids, you gucci
He assumes that because he understands what he's taught, so must everyone else. He passes out sample problems and gives 20 minutes to work on them, when you often didn't understand the lecture well enough to solve them. While his visual aids are good, and he clearly knows his stuff, his explanations of the formulas are too fast-paced and confusing.
Great class! I learned a lot. He gives you lots of homework but at the end you feel really prepared to be an engineer.
Pretty Good Professor. Has you work on lots of example problems. Some people need more time to work them out in class, some people need less. Hard to please everybody but he tries to accommodate everyone. Overall, gets you through the problems pretty well.
You'll work yourself crazy to pass. Lectures and labs are almost entirely irrelevant to exam questions. It's crucial to show up for all labs and do all homework to supplement failing exam grades. If you don't have a strong physics education already in place, your only hope is outside tutoring. Prof is unrealistic and has little faith in students.
Pretty easy as long as you do the HW and come to class. Saves lots of time in class to help you individually. Answers lots of HW Q's in lecture, bring the Q's with you to class. The people that whine don't want to do any work at all or are usually rude and feel entitled to skip class; they just want an easy grade. Very clear explanations.
I was worried about this class as i have heard scary things about it but with alot of work and effort making an A is not to difficult. There is alot of homework but if you work at it a little each day you will stay caught up. I learned alot in this class and the prof is willing to help you if you put in the work and show that you are trying.
Dr Nate is a nice guy that is good at teaching a really tough course. There is huge amounts of homework pulled straight from the book, but he doesn't grade you on the answers, only that the effort to solve was there. His example problems in class help a lot, but you absolutely need to study out of class.
Do not take this professor. If you're not a math person and have not taken physics in more than a year, do not take him. He needs more work in explaining the course or just teaching in general.
Do not take this professor in the summer if you wanna drown in homework and be stuck with a teacher who can't teach. He doesn't explain the course that well and you'll be going home confused and with tons of homework for that day. If you're confused in day 1, you'll be more confused in day 2 , then it all piles up. Keep looking for a professor.
Dr. Bezayiff is one of the best teachers I've ever had! His class is definitely one you have to work hard in but if you put in the work, he'll do everything to help you! I took him for both 1401 and 1402 and they were a lot of work but I definitely have a good understanding of the concepts. Go to all the lectures, take notes and do the homework.
No real substance or consistency to the exams. They aren't based on lecture content, but instead random extra information and applications you never discussed or read in the textbook.
Expects 2-3 hrs for hw everyday, uses different phrasing from the book, NO extra cred, lectures too fast for notes to force you to use his handouts, won't respond to emails. If you work, or take more than two classes, take someone else. Tests were 7 show-all-work problems, easy to fail. No lab-makeups/late h.w. I'm a hard worker with a 3.8 sooo....
Dr. Bezayiff gave a lot of hw but it was worth it bcus it helped me understand the material better. I recommend staying after lectures & asking questions. He will stay after class to help you if you put in the effort. This also prevents the work from piling up when it's all due. PS. If you take 1410, really study for exam #2 bcus its the hardest.
Great class. Great prof. All around good experience.
Prof Bezayiff is really awesome! He does a great job explaining such a difficult subject! He is clear, reasonable, easy to follow, and really cares a lot about his students. He's not easy though and he expects you to work but like how a coach gets players ready for the game. A really great class!
The worst professor I have ever had. He does not explain concepts, unorganized, and just the laziest professor. On tests, you don't know how to solve the problems because he didn't teach the concepts. He is absent during half of the class time doing who knows what. Save your time because he does not teach. I honestly don't know why he's a professor
Do your homework which prepares you for the exams. Pretty straightforward. Highly recommend this professor.
This is a great professor, but a hard class. There was a lot of work, and at first his lectures didn't seem related, but they were. He was very responsive and helpful outside of class, and good at explaining problems that I couldn't figure out. Oh, and there was not a cumulative final in the course I took.
Not flexible or understanding but sets very clear expectations up front. Follow those and youll be fine. No credit for late work at all but really good lecture videos that he makes himself, theyre worth the time it takes to watch.
I loved physics and his class was an easy layout for me to understand. Fully online course.
From syllabus: "If you are employed in a job for more than 20 hours a week, lots of other classes, or other 'life issues' please consider evaluating your priorities and time commitments before taking this course!" and, "You must schedule an additional 15-20 hours per week outside of class in which you will work on homework."
The classwork itself is not difficult, but the homework requires a lot of time to complete. I think I spent about 15 hours a week doing the homework, not including watching lecture videos and taking notes. However, the exams aren't hard since notes are allowed. The only grades were homework and exams, there are no projects.
He clearly states his expectations for the class in the syllabus. no late credit but, You can do all the work on your own pace, you get unlimited attempts on exams until they expire at the end of the week, if you struggle in this class is it because you have bad time management and didn't do assignments. labs take about 1-1&1/2 hrs in person.
He was so nice and gave the best lectures, it was so fun to attend the two Labs I had to go to even though I was initially dreading them. The course was SO EASY- there were unlimited tries for the homework and the tests! It was a piece of cake.
The class was easy, and Professor Nathan was great! The class is lecture heavy, but he gives you all his notes along with video recordings to help you. He's available after class, and emails back within a day, if not a couple hours. Best Physics class I have ever taken.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! He is an awesome online professor. Best I've had yet! He has his own lecture videos, not random youtube videos. Amazing job explaining things and is extremely quick to answer questions. Theres 5 exams, no lockdown, non cumulative. The exams are the same as the HW/labs. Plenty of chances to answer. No reason you shouldnt get a 100.
I took Professor Bezayiff this summer online, and I got an A for Physics1. His syllabus is straight up. No random YouTube links and unnecessary packets. I worked a job for 20 hours a week. I took Physics in a semester, w/ a Bad Prof and it went horribly. I took this course with him for the summer & now I start Medical school! Just put the work in.
Professor made it very easy to do well in his class. Homework, exams, and labs all have unlimited amount of attempts. The homework takes a while to do but it's not impossible. Just make sure you turn everything in on time since he doesn't take any late work. His lectures are straight forward and provides some practice problems.
Professor asks for work to give feedback and never replies back even after a follow up.
This guy is probably one of the worst teachers I have had so far because he doesn't teach a single thing, and literally nothing matters. Take his class online because you are wasting your time in person, and by the end of the semester, no one shows up except for lab days. Tests are easy Homework is easy and on Quizlet. Impossible to fail literally!
One of if the the worst experiences i've ever had in any school system. I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW HOW THIS GUY HAS A JOB. I should have taken an online class because this in-person lecture class had less quality than any online class ive take thus far. This person doesn't actually care if you learn anything.
professor is so straight up and organized. He does NOT accept any late work for any reason but he does give enough time for you to complete things, nothing is proctored, unlimited attempts for assignments. Impossible to fail.I cant say if he replies to emails because i never tried to reach him but I think as long as you turn in on time you are good
Professor Bezayiff is great. Took his online class and it was an easy A. It was based on Pearson assignments, he provided some examples with explanations on D2L as well. Assignments were to be done every week but due every four weeks. Five exams total and homework was long if you did not work on it with enough time before the due date.
Labs almost every time you attend class but only take abt an hr out of the 3 and are pretty fun. Don't skip!! Not hard to pass. Maybe 3 total homework's and 3 tests. You get 30 attempts for each question on lab/test/hw! Always group work!! You do have to purchase the textbook to do the hw/tests ect.. 100% reccomend him. Very easy to get an A+.
This class was incredibly easy, which was nice because I took it as a required science credit. Also Prof. Bezayiff is a nice professor who is accessible for tutoring.
Professor Bezayiff is great! I took his online class and earned an A. The course focused on Pearson assignments and 5 exams/final. Labs and Homework can be lengthy, it's important to plan of ahead as they due which are every 4 wks. He also provided helpful examples with explanations on D2L. I would definitely recommend taking him again for Physics.
I took Professor Bezayiff in person and he was great. He really knows his stuff! Physics can be an intimidating subject, but he made it bearable and doable. He creates his own exams (not proctored) and hw. Do all labcoms (that require attendance) and labsets and you'll pass. He responds to emails quickly and is available for help outside of class.
I took Professor Bezayiff's online course and had a great experience. The class consists of 4 exams plus the final, and homeworks. Everything is done on Pearson. You have 4 weeks to complete each homework which covers certain chapters. Do not procastinate your homework assignments as can be a lot of questions. It was great overall.
I took Summer I hybrid. If you want an easy A for the credit, take him. All lecture content was online, but I was not able to learn a thing. Tests and homework are open for the whole week with unlimited attempts per question. Labs are in person, but not hard if you do as told. You can get a straight 100% if you want. Don't take if you need to learn
I do NOT recommend this professor to anyone. This was supposed to be an all in-person class, but ALL assignments, homework, AND EXAMS were online. For our labs, everyone was required to use a video software that didn't work half of the times we had to use it. Not tech savvy, DON'T TAKE. Computers are REQUIRED for this class. Do not recommend.
