Professor Chilcutt is one of the most helpful professors I have had at this University. He gives quizzes that count for extra credit. He allows a note card for every test and also gives you a formula sheet. TAKE HIM HE IS AWESOME!!

Mr. Chilcutt made OM300 an interesting class, something hard to do. Like all good teachers, he was less focused on what the book had to say and more focused on what we needed to know for real life applications. Hands down one of the best teachers in the business school! Honest and straight forward - willing to help and doesn't make you feel crazy or bad for asking for it. If you have to take OM 300 take him!! It was a class I never hated going to and it was a late class. Note card for test but would advise that you still study! Overall GREAT so take him!

Professor Chilcutt is very invested in his students and truly cares about their education and the information he is teaching them. He makes OM very interesting even for someone not majoring in OM. He allows one page of notes on exam but still study, his tests can be challenging. Always there if you need any help and wants to help in anyway!

Mr. Chilcutt is the nicest teacher around. He will always be there to help you. If I had to take this class again, I would take him. He'll do his best to get you the best grade. His tests can be tough, but he gives you a formula sheet and allows you to bring in a cheat sheet for the test which makes the tests easier.

Dr. Chilcutt is the nicest person I've ever met. Exams are not difficult at all if you spend some time to study. Make sure you know how to do the math problems, but usually he emphasizes more on concepts. Read powerpoint carefully because he throws some random concept questions from them. Gives 1 point for 90% attendance.

By far my favorite professor. Tests aren't easy but you can have a cheat sheet. If you read "The Goal" that's 5 points added on to your final grade. if you don't miss more than 4 classes you get 1 point on your final grade. If you go see him, he will help you out in any way possible! OM is one of the harder classes but he makes it very enjoyable.

Great professor! He really knows what he is talking about and has a lot of real life experience in operations management. Not a difficult class at all as long as you do the homework and read the powerpoints. You get a cheat sheet on exams which is helpful, and he gives out extra credit opportunities throughout the semester.

He gives formula sheets for tests, and the homework assignments are pretty well reflective of what you should expect on the tests. For the tests, you are given a formula sheet, you can use any calculator, and you really just need to study vocabulary (they are all multiple choice). I thought the class was actually pretty interesting.

OM is a difficult class but Chilcutt is the best person to take it with. He is straight forward with his grading. Online quiz due every Friday and four in person tests. You get to use one notecard for test. Offers 1 XC assignment. You have to study for his tests but definitely take him if you have to take OM300. You need to go to class.

He's a fantastic teacher. He always kept me engaged during the class and made it fun. And if you go see him in his office regarding test and other assignments, he's always willing to help you out. So if you put forth some effort, he will return the favor. Really is just a great guy.

Great professor!! He makes the class easy to pass. Do the homework and extra credit this will account for 28% of your grade if you score perfect on it. By doing the homework and extra credit you will only need to score at least a 55 on each of the four exams. Also he gives an extra point for not missing any days. A lot of concept questions on exams

Mr. Chilcutt was a great choice for OM 300. It is a difficult class and I did do a lot of studying for the tests. Online assignment due every Friday. Tests are in person and difficult. You must study! You do get to bring a notecard to the test to use. Two extra credit opportunities.

Professor Chilcutt is one of UA's best professors. He has been a massive help for me inside and outside the classroom and has been an integral part of my success at Alabama.

Easy tests, homework gets a little annoying but it's just a lot of calculations and you have a few days to do it. Chilcutt is the coolest professor I've had here and he's not a p.h.d. he's just a good old boy teaching OM with years of experience and stories.

I would definitely take Mr. Chilcutt again, he truly cares about his students and is passionate about what he's teaching. Come to class, his lectures are truly informative. If you have questions, just ask he definitely does not mind. One of the best professors that I've had while attending UA.

Great instructor. He's extremely patient and really wants you to succeed. He talks fast so either print the slides out before class or fill the blanks in on your laptop during the lecture, otherwise there's no way you'll get everything written down in time and still be able to pay attention

Take this prof!! He worked in the field before teaching so he is very experienced and explains everything in a real world basis. He offers a total of 4% extra credit. He is always very helpful in his office hours and willing to go over anything even if he just taught it 10 minutes before. I hate 9am lectures, but he kept them light and humorous.

The quizes are really easy but you have to show up to take them. The class isnt that hard at all. He is a great teacher.

I honestly don't understand how people can fail his tests. They are very easy. His class is pretty boring, but I'm not an OM major. He seems like a cool guy, though. I'd recommend taking him.

He changed the way he gives tests this semester and they always seemed to be a mess but the curve was at least 20 points every time. Other than that he was a great professor that provided so many real world examples and made the 8am a little less painful by letting us out early most days.

Professor Chilcutt is by far the greatest professor I've had at UA. I'm not an OM major but after taking this class, I seriously considered switching majors. He is willing to help any student and is in his office 90% of the time to be there for students with homework questions. He is a great professor and a great role model and you should take him!

Hes a great teacher and class is enjoyable. BUT given that, his tests are borderline unfair with how hard they are. I don't want to bash Chilcutt because i think the University made the tests harder. All i can say is goodluck, don't expect 90s on test like other Upper Division classes. Open ended math is very difficult, notes don't cover tests

Chilcutt is a super caring professor. He always encourages you to come to his office hours if you have any questions rather than going to a tutor. The class itself was not much work, simply do homework and take tests. From what I gathered, people either get OM or they don't, much like Accounting, so make sure you prep. Bonus points for attendance

Chilcutt is easily my favorite professor at UA. The class is pretty easy and straightforward and he really knows his stuff and cares about his students. His tests are kind of a mess but if you go to his office hours and talk with him about what you missed he gives you partial credit on a lot of the questions. Would recommend, 10/10

Nathan's a great teacher. He's a good ol Mississippi Boy and probably one of the best teachers at UA. His lectures are so interesting and he is willing to do anything to help you make an A. Take him!!!

Great guy who definitely cares about his students. The material can be hard just because it's alot to take in all at once but he really works with you and is always available.

Really difficult class. The homework takes a ridiculous amount of time but really prepared me for the tests. He allows for a possible 4% bonus on the end of your semester grade and he doesn't give A-'s so a 90 is an A. Overall a tough class but I learned a lot and if you work hard he will give you to opportunity for a good grade.

Dr Chilcutt knows exactly what he is talking about. He is very intelligent and will help you as much as he can. He is a very caring instructor, but his tests are hard. If the class does bad enough, he'll curve it. The class itself isn't great but having his smiling face every morning made it better.

Chilcutt's class isn't hard but it's only because OM is pretty hard. He cares about his students and gives you plenty of opportunities and everything you need to do well. If you put in effort, you will be fine. I recommend lots of studying as tests are pretty difficult but if you understand lectures (which he posts on Blackboard) you'll be fine.

One of the nicest, most accessible, & willing to help teachers I've had at UA. Yes, this class is hard, but OM is hard. I had him online for the summer & I had several zoom meetings with him to review & go over my test. Test questions are a little difficult to understand, but I'd rather have a nice teacher with harder test! Def would take him again

This is a tough course. There is a pretty hefty workload, but this does give you the opportunity to raise your grade as much as possible. Professor Chilcutt is very accessible outside of class and is very understanding. He hosts a weekly Zoom for students to ask questions about anything which I thought was really cool of him to do.

Don't understand why people have so much trouble with this course. He is generally forgiving as long as you reached out and showed you did the work. DO THE HOMEWORK WORK THROUGH AND UNDERSTAND HOW THE EQUATIONS WORK. Don't put any math on your cheat sheet use it for the qualitative stuff and study math!! SCHEDULE OFFICE HOURS TEST GRADE WILL GO UP!

Chilcutt was easily one of the best professors Ive had here at UA. He was very nice, and clear about what to expect. GO TO OFFICE HOURS. He helps as much as he can. 9/10 the people that say they do bad dont study and understand the material, they memorize problems. Chilcutt doesnt test on memorization, he tests on whether or not you UNDERSTOOD.

Out of all the professors I've had, Chilcutt is easily in the top 3. Definitely go to his office hours and get to know him because he is so cool. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't miss a lot and you are in between grades he will bump it up at the end. 100000% recommend taking his class.

Good professor but the class is kind of tough especially if math isn't your thing. I would recommend taking his class because he wants to help students and tries to make it easier for everyone to understand despite going over tougher topics. Amazing man. If you hate math and statistics, this class is going to be very very hard, but it's not because he's bad. Very responsive via email, in class, and in office hours. A little rough around the edges, but genuinely wants to help students learn and succeed. Classes are very informative and very interesting. Exams are easier than homework.

Chilcutt is a great professor this course is just HARD. If you're not good at math just get ready. His test are somewhat easy if you know what you are doing. Chilcutt is definitely the prof to take for OM 300. He has a lot of industry experience and makes the lectures as straight-forward as possible. He not only gives you three big extra credit assignments (up to an extra 6% total), but also makes a 90 a solid A so this can really help your GPA. Although the content of this class is difficult, Chilcutt offers a ton of bonus and is always available to students. He is more than willing to work with you if you show effort in his class.

Chilcutt is great. Funny lectures keep you awake at 9 AM. 3 exams and optional final along with homework and occasional extra credit. Allows a handwritten cheat sheet for all exams (double sided for the last one). Go to class so you can get the PowerPoints sent to you, study those for the exams!! Don't study the homework or practice problems only.

Anyone who says Chilcutt is unfair or the class is impossible doesn't come to class. Understand the homework and use the cheat sheet for concepts and you will do fine on tests. Tests are not super easy and will require critical thinking. If a question is unfair and enough of the class misses it, he'll throw it out. 90+ counts as an A as well.

I really liked having him. Only 1 hw/week. Hw = 25%, 3 exams = 75%. 4 exams total, but can drop one including the final. Have formula sheet and cheat sheet on tests. He gives up to 2% extra credit on final grade. Gives you fill-in-the-blank lecture notes (heavily based on book). May bump your grade if you come to class. Have to work to succeed

Great prof and a great guy office hours go a long way and he is willing to work with you until you understand the material. Go to class and listen and you will not have any problems with this course.

I LOVE this professor. If you go to class and pay attention, then you will do fine in the class. He really cares about his students, and while there are no curves on the tests, he gives plenty of extra credit to bump you to the next letter grade. Plus a 90% and above is considered an A. Would take again!

Chilcutt is a knowledgable professor with tons of experience. This class is only difficult because it's completely new material to most. Attendance is key. Go to class, get the powerpoint notes, and hear what he has to say. He often gives hints as to what will and won't be on exams. Study powerpoints and know how to do the HW and you'll be fine!

Chilcutt is one of the best professors for a required business class at UA! He is passionate in his lectures and doesn't waste your time (got out of class early all semester). He is very flexible and wants you to succeed in his class more than anything. Make sure to attend class he will make it worth your while and you will do much better.

OM300 is a difficult class but Chilcutt takes attendance every class and if you attend most of them and submit everything on time the first time around he is more than willing to help you pass (wink wink)

Took OM300 twice in person. Took it a third time online. Just do it online if you want to pass and have fun at the university. Got a 95% online class. Failed the two times before. Online is easy peazy lemon cheezy. The advisors at Alabama arent the best, just take this class online. That goes with accounting too. OM300 and AC210 online is da move

AMAZING! Super nice, his T/Th class only lasted 45 mins max. All test questions come from slides he posts. We get a handwritten cheat sheet AND formula sheet. Always available in his office. The math can be intimidating at first, but having the formulas helps a lot. Tests are half mult. choice and half math. Extra Credit is offered. Recommend!

This class is not easy. He gives you a cheat sheet for the tests, and is always willing to help out when he can. Utilize the TA's during exams!! Always ask questions because he will go over examples during class. I highly recommend showing up for class because in class assignments are a big part of the grades and they are usually quick and easy!

Professor Chilcutt, despite the 8am class, genuinely make me enjoy the getting up in the morning for his class. The front-loaded course makes it a lot easier when your other courses start getting harder towards the end of semester. Several case studies at first, a handful of online modules (which can take a while). Overall, good lectures as well

Attendance isn't completely mandatory but sometimes there's an in class assignment for credit. I would recommend going to class either way, he takes attendance and sometimes will give you points for just being there.

This class was really hard for me. I failed every test but the final and the cheat sheets werent much help during the exam. Luckily our homework grade is the same weight as a test grade and 1 test grade is dropped. He is very nice and willing to help you escpeiallt if you need a boost at end of semester so long as you attended class.

Nice guy, if you're the type that goes up to him and asks questions he will help you. In class assignments are important so go to class. If you do the homework and understand it you'll be good for the tests. His tests are 80% math so study those. He's nice and a good professor choice for this class
