Awesome professor. 10/10 would take again.

Fantastic teacher who knows his stuff! It was his first semester so he is still modifying his tests but he kept everyone's interest and made an 8am class not so bad. Does a discussion board every week and is very passionate about his marketing plan project he makes us do but ALWAYS willing to help.

He is a great teacher! The first day of school he tries to be intimidating but after that day he is awesome. Tests are pretty easy and he gives back lots of points if lots of kids missed the question. Keeps the class interesting and he is very helpful! Definitely take him.

He is awesome, not bad to look at either. Great to listen to- he's pretty funny. Really enjoyed the class and I will use a lot of this info moving forward in my career!

Dr. Line is the man. He's extremely knowledgeable and cares about every student. He holds himself accountable for mistakes, just like he hold you accountable. (extra credit for his mistakes). He gives great lectures and gives lots of ques for test questions during class. In my opinion he is the best professor in the Dedman School of Hospitality.

I was intimidated at first, didn't know how this class was going to go. I laughed every single class period, by far my favorite teacher I have had. Group project is completely manageable if your group meets with him a couple of times. You always know exactly what is expected of you.

Tests are lecture based but very easy. Information is relevant and exciting to learn about. Stop reading the other reviews and take this class lol. Attendance isn't mandatory but extremely beneficial.

Dr. Line so far is the best teacher I have ever had in college and the only teacher that has actually sparked my interest with his lectures and his narratives. He has a very different outlook on how class should be run and is very realistic. I would HIGHLY recommend taking this course with Dr. Line as you will not regret it at all. He is the man.

Dr. Line is by far one of the best profs. at FSU. HFT100 is easy as long as you show up & take notes. During each class, Dr. Line tells you what questions will be on each exam & also has students help come up with test questions. He brings in a lot of guest speakers to make the class interesting, & has a golf clinic with Prof. Don Farr.

Theres only 3 tests and 1 project, all super easy. He gives extra credit, tells you what's going to be on each test, and allows you to miss up to 2-3 classes. Super nice and really interesting class.

He's extremely relateable, sarcastic, & shows funny videos often. There are 3 exams, all of which come from his lectures & lots of extra credit. If I could take him again I would!!!!

Easy, must go to class, don't need the book (but if you like marketing like me, you get the book), brings in speakers to add value to the class and helps build your network. This professor is truly the best. He grades fair and if you have problems He will help you work things out. He has been my best teacher yet at FSU.

If you show up and take notes you won't have trouble in this class. His lectures aren't boring and he uses videos to relate the material to real world applications.

He sets very clear expectations for the class and gives you all the tools you need to be successful! He gives multiple "group" days to work on your marketing plan and gives you the websites you'll need to use to complete your group project. He loves to use YouTube videos as examples in class. He will randomly take attendance, counts for grade!

Don't bother buying the book. Overall, Dr. Line is a respectable guy and makes marketing fun and interesting. There is a big group project at the end but he gives you a very specific guide on how to complete. Highly recommend this class!

Dr. Line is super cool. Chances are if you go to class, you're going to do really well. He teaches in a way thats both engaging and fun, so you won't get super bored. He's also willing to help you out whenever, so don't hesitate to reach out to him if you have problems or questions.

Absolutely amazing professor!! Beware of the group project-it is 200 points out of your total 700 for your grade! Start it early and have a good group of people to work with. Professor Line is one of the best professors in the Hospitality program at Florida State! The textbook is recommended but not required, but it has a lot of useful information so its up to yourself. The course is very organized and his expectations are clear, he is very helpful and I have learned so much. Would definitely take again!!

Show up to class and he will essentially tell you what will be on the tests and helps you with the final project. Dr. Line was super interesting and hilarious in his lectures. He literally tells you his test questions during lecture and gives frequent extra credit in class. He takes attendance every day but if you go to every lecture there's no way you won't get an A. There's a marketing plan which is kinda long but he and his TA are great about feedback/help.

Easily the best teacher I've had at FSU. Dr. Line makes the class lectures fairly entertaining, so showing up to class isn't a drag. During his lectures he frequently gives out extra credit and test answers. The only downside to this class is a marketing plan proposal that can be long, but he and his TA give excellent feedback.

Dr. Line is so knowledgable about Marketing and while his lectures are very funny and engaging, you also learn a lot. You can tell he really cares about his students on a personal level! The Marketing Plan was brutal but I'm not sure if that will continue now that this course isn't a writing competency requirement for the major after this semester.

Gives clear directions and good feedback. Papers are tough but he gives plenty of time to work on them. Most of the exam material is covered in class through lecture, pay attention and follow the instructions and this course will be easy.

Professor Line is one of the best hospitality professors. His class is one of the most entertaining even though it is a lot of work. The marketing plan is the long assignment throughout the course, but he gives you plenty of time and feedback before the real submission. You will get an A on every test if you go to class and study quizlit.

Dr. Line is great, but his grading scheme makes no sense. The class is based off of 700 points, yet the percentages to letter grade calculation is unfair to say the least. For example, the syllabus states that 588-615/700 is a B-. Thus in a worst case scenario, a 87.8% (usually considered a B+) awards you with B-. He does not award "+" grades.

The marketing assignment that you've heard about really isn't as bad as people say.. Those people probably procrastinated until the night before. Go to class, and you will do well on the exam (but you do have to study, of course). Don't skip class! This course is such a wonderful class, and I wish he taught more courses during my time at FSU!

Was a fantastic teacher! He taught my classes while studying abroad and he was amazing! Im a psychology major and was not necessarily interested in hospitality but I just wanted to go on the Switzerland study abroad trip and he make every trip and class extremely interesting. I would highly recommend taking any classes with him!

Easy class but has a LARGE amount of homework due every week and it can be very time consuming. Other than that, take the class!!!

Honestly one of the best professors I have ever had at Florida State. Professor Line really cared about his students and there success in the classroom and outside. He inspired me in many ways to continue pursuing my future career goals. When Covid-19 happened he made sure to be there for every student. If you dont take his class its your loss.

Probably one of the most fair professors at FSU. There is one large group project but as long as you start early you will be fine. Half of the grade on the project is a peer evaluation, so as long as you actually do your work on it, you're good. 10/10 would recommend and would take again.

He has a great sense of humor and makes his lectures engaging with plenty of videos and material relevant to what you're learning. The class is very easy and he offers a lot of extra credit. The marketing plan group project is lengthy, but nothing too difficult.

Dr. Line is a great professor and take great interest in the success of his students. Lectures are very important to receive a good grade in the class. I would highly recommend taking this class or any other class that Dr. Line teaches.

If you are taking Professor Line's class, make sure to pay attention to his lectures. Although the test is mostly based on his slides, he is very clear about what contents will be on the exam. Also, the marketing plan that we have to do as a group assignment is no joke! Take it seriously on day 1 and start it a week after it is assigned.

This is one ofthe best classes I've taken at FSU in the hospitality program. Dr. Line uses his class time to lecture but knows how to keep the classes entertaining and makes a point to make sure we understand and can apply everything we learn in class.

This class is really integral for any part of business or hospitality that you're looking to be apart of. Dr. Line's class is really lecture heavy, but he makes class exciting and interesting! Attendance is important, but by just showing up you learn a lot. Large group project is included in class but it's a great learning experince.

Dr. Line has a really solid set up for the class. The only thing that I'm not a huge fan of personally is the group project, but that's also just a general thing. Definitely engage with him as much as possible (within reason ofc) because you'll learn a lot.

One of the best professors I have taken at FSU. He is very entertaining and knows how to relate concepts back to college students. He offers a lot of extra credit if you find any spelling errors in his posts. The class is very discussion board heavy which the TAs grade sometimes harshly but other than that great course to take 100% recommend!

Lots of opportunities for extra credit if you come to class. Fair grading. Dr. Line is very specific about what will be on the exams. Overall, if you show up to class and pay attention you will do well. Dr. Line wants to ensure that everyone does well in this class and does a great job at doing so.

Dr. Line was my favorite professor I've had by far. He made marketing such a digestible and fun subject, and his lectures were always so hilarious. He gives you plenty of extra credit opportunities, is always eager to help you outside of class hours, and always covers any and all test information in class so make sure you attend.

Honestly one of the best professors I've ever had. He tells you the test answers so all you have to do is attend class. Tons of extra credit and the material is interesting too.

Dr. Line makes this class almost impossible to fail. His lectures are very informative, and entertaining. He compares a lot of the stuff that we learn to real world examples that make the concepts easier to understand. Makes test easy, gives several opportunity for extra credit. Best professor by far.

Dr. Line does a great job explaining his expectations throughout the semester. He is pretty funny and makes lectures enjoyable. His class is not hard, just stay on task throughout the semester.

Professor Line was one of my favorite professors I had at FSU. He's very down to earth and has a good sense of humor in his lectures. He sometimes gives extra credit points for just showing up to class. Attendance is mandatory and is taken every class. The marketing plan is 200 points so if you do well on that and the 4 exams you should be fine.

Professor Line was by far my favorite professor at FSU. He had a fantastic sense of humor in all of his lectures that made you want to listen and participate. He also brought in a lot of good guest speakers. The marketing plan is everything in his course if you do well on that you should get a good grade. I 100% would take him again.

Dr. Line cares about marketing, but his priority is always his students. He's incredibly understanding, and he's always looking out for our needs. He cares about our grades, but he is PASSIONATE about our futures.

Dr. Line is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is straightforward, knowledgeable, and funny. He incorporates stories and videos into his lectures both to give you examples of the content and to make it more engaging. Attendance is required and beneficial because he tells you what will be on the test.

This professor is seriously the best professor I have ever taken a course with, let alone a class I thought was going to be such a drag. This class ended up being my favorite class. This professor not only kept me engaged but, kept me interested in what I was learning. Overall great professor, and a great class.

I loved this class! Dr. Line is such a great professor who really cares about his students. You can tell that he really enjoys what he does and just wants us to succeed. Go to his lectures, they are great and we usually have some good laughs.

I didn't think marketing could be made interesting but I was wrong. Dr. Line far exceeded my expectations for this class. Each class lecture was easy to understand and follow. He is very fair and understands that this class is not the only class you are taking and is very understanding if the situation isn't an excuse or a lie. 10/10

Dr. Line is the man. He is very clear and fair about expectations and exams. The marketing plan ended up being fun (just don't procrastinate) and he is very helpful if you're ever stuck. Please go to every class! He is very knowledgeable and you'll learn so much from him. I wish he taught more in person classes!

Dr. Lines class was amazing. Hands down one of my favorite classes I have taken at FSU. I was not a big fan of the final group project but it is what it is. The exams are really easy if you study and if you apply yourself you should do fine in this class. The guest speakers he brings in are incredible and I was able to get an internship with one.

Professor Line is easily one of the best professors at FSU. He is very interesting to listen to and he has an hilarious sense of humor. I enjoyed every class and wish I could take him again. Dr. Line was easily one of my favorite professors that I have ever had! His class was actually enjoyable to be in and he has a great sense of humor which kept the mood light during lectures. I could tell that he genuinely cares about all of his students and wants nothing but for them to succeed.

Professor Line is one of the best at FSU. His engaging lectures and fair assessments make the class enjoyable. Unstructured study tools like Unstuckstudy paired with attending class are keys to success.

Dr. Line is my favorite professor I've had. Lectures are very informative but you don't need to memorize. Class is 60% lectures and 40% recruitment. Discussion boards are not the basic "ramble and and respond to others". Perfectly fair exams. Huge final project but not over complicated. Attendance required but not half the grade. HIGHLY recommend.

Professor Line is one of my favorite professors that i've had at Florida State. He really cares about students succeeding and his work is very straight forward. I hope to have him again in the future!!

Dr.Line was very fair and upfront about his expectations as a teacher. No content that wasn't taught was on the exam. He was very reasonable and there were many extra credit opportunities and interesting guest speakers!

I absolutely loved Dr. Line this semester. He is a great professor, and I could not recommend him enough. Our class had multiple prestigious guest speakers relevant to our future profession. His words are inspiring, and he did a wonderful job preparing us for many hospitality divisions, not just marketing.

I found professor lines class to be super informative in the space yet really easy. You can redo assignments to get the grade you want, same style of assignments due every week, and no exams. Just do the assignments with actually caring about the discussion posts and you will get an easy A.

Dr.Line is a great professor. He gives good lectures and is clear about what information will be on the test. Integrated Marketing does have a group project, but Dr.Line gives clear instructions about what is expected and will help your group with any questions. If you attend class and take notes, you will be fine in this class.

He is very entertaining, If you go to his class take notes and listen you will be just fine. Start the group project early.

Dr. Line is genuinely the best professor I have had during my time at FSU. He deeply cares about his students success beyond the classroom. If you attend class and pay attention to the lectures, you will do just fine. He shows you the tests ahead of time and normally provides extra credit points onto the test for various in-class achievements.

Dr. Line might be the best professor at FSU. His lecture style is incredibly entertaining and his guest speakers are some of the best you can have. If you choose to skip classes, let his be the one you always show up for. The marketing plan is a bit of a pain; however, you do use all of the course content. Listen to him, start the plan early.

great teacher. knew what he was talking about. very straight forward and ready to help. brought in guest speakers which really helped and created networking chances. my one grievance is the group marketing plan. the group review made it okay because we get to share out experience with the group so everyone got respective grades based on the report
