I'm currently in Nathan's comp class at MCC and he is totally awesome. He is really good at making sure the material isn't boring and he is easy to listen to. I went from hating this class (I withdrew last semester) to really liking it because of Nathan. He is so good!!! You will like him to!!!!!

One of the more hands on, straight forward, and caring teachers I've had in awhile. He makes class subject more interesting with his way of teaching that everyone seems to really enjoy. His goal is to not only pass, or get an A in his classes that he teaches, but it's clear that he cares to help us succeed in our future.

Great teacher, clearly explained exactly what we have to do to get a good grade..Always looked forward to comming to class, he kept the class interesting which helped me learn.

Maasz really is a great professor. His class was the first college class I have ever taken and I truly feel it has prepared me for my future clases. He taught us what we need to do to be successful in his class. he really makes his students feel like he cares and want them to do well. He emails me and lets me know how I'm doing and that's great.

this was my favorite professor this semester. He was well organized and kept the class upbeat. He made sure to respond to my emails within 24 hour period wheather it be day or night or weekend. The Professor was very friendly and always made little jokes that were actually funny.

So Natha Maasz seems like a chill enough kind of instructor. It's sometimes hard to get a read of what he is thinking or what he exactly wants at any one moment but I suppose that doesn't affect his teaching. He's definitely the best English instructor I have had and one of the most interesting instructors at MCC. I recommened his class.

Great class.

Composition is a required class, and he made it feel like it was completely optional. He uses a wide variety of materials, and uses them to fully explain his lessons. This class is not a basic English class, it is so much more. He encourages students to do their best, and gives them the tools to do so. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I've always had a difficult time in English classes but Nathan made it easier to understand. Almost everyday in class we discussed and learned our peers different perspectives. His choice of topics not only increased my education, but also helped me ask questions to myself that are important to me as a person.

Throught my student life, there have been just a few classes that I've really liked, and I wouldn't hesitate to say that Professor's Maasz class has been by far the most helpful class I have attended. I say not because of his coaching experience he inspired me, but also because he taught me how to use any available resources to write better.

Sometimes the class moved fast, he is a verry fast talker. I feel that I have left the course a better reader and writer.

I was more than lucky to have Nathan Maasz as my English Professor. He was the most helpful, caring, and interesting Professor to have. Not only did he make sure that his students were in the proper position to receive an A+, but he made sure it happened. Nathan is extremely easy to communicate with. Anyone will be fortunate to have him teach them.

I had Nathan as a teacher for ENG093 last semester. He is an amazing teacher and was very helpful. I decided to take his class again for ENG101. There was never a time I second guessed taking a class again. I had 2 great semesters with Nathan Maasz and would have loved to take a class with him again if he was teaching higher levels!

This class was very well orgaized. On the first day of class you knew everything he expected of you and how the grading was going to work. He was very straight foward. I really enjoyed this class and the discussions that we had. The essays we had to write about were also very interesting to do.

Mr. Maasz incorporates a curriculum that rests on both the expected standards of a composition class, as well as very interesting topics that have been nothing but eye-opening and though-provoking. Mr. Maasz has my highest recommendation for any student looking for an unconventional English class that wields so much more than readings and essays.

This class is one of the best classes I've taken. Mr. Maasz is always willing to help. He always emails me after I complete my homework to give me feedback and encouragement. Its nice to know that a teacher actually cares and that he puts time into each one of his students.

He was really good speaking so each student understood individually. He is good at motivating you to care about what you are learning, while making it a comfortable environment for those that are very shy, so they can learn better. He took notes on the advise we gave him, if there was any. I'm glad he was my English proffessor.

Professor Maasz is very helpful and clear about what he expects of you. Unlike other classes, I always knew what my grade was in this class and what I needed to do in order to improve my grade. I suggest taking any class he teachers if you want someone who is willing to take the time to help and explain things to you.

He really wants to make sure his students understand what is going on in class and with assignments. He sort of sets you up to succeed and if you don't that's only because you didnt try want to.

I had dropped college English courses four times before taking this class. Nathan keeps everyone in the class involved in relaxed but in-depth discussions about readings, life, and methods to succeed. He was funny, interesting, and all seemed to enjoy themselves. There are no full books to read, just short readings, and 3 essays to write total.

This was my first class that I took in college. I picked a 6 week intensive course that I most likely would have passed if it were your standard teacher.I passed because he was very clear on how to be a better writer even if you don't like writing. After this class I actually like writing and this will make my other classed in college much easier

Nathan is a great teacher; he cares about what he teaches as well as his students. Although there is a lot of work, he is clear with what he requires from you. His classes are also engaging, I leave every class feeling more knowledgeable. I can only imagnie that he is a fantastic teacher in anything that he teaches. I highly recommend.

Although he made everything seem so much simpler than it had ever been, Maasz wasn't just good at getting through the lessons but also at keeping things interesting and making your brain think and work in different ways: sending you into, "another dimension", if you will.
