His lectures are great. do all of the assignments you will pass, the class usually finishes early. I enjoyed watching movies in his class.

He's very knowledgeable about history, he's also very chill and he loves to hear new thought about history, so dont be shy. He also gives you whats going to be on the test, easy tests!, Easy A if you do the assignments on time and follow instructions. Would take him again!

This is my first rating, nd I think he is one of the best professor to take for his 101. There is like 4 discussion board, midterm and final ( but they r so easy based on what ever he goes over in class) make sure to take note on those key words that he gives out for test). 2 quiz nd all test are take home nd quiz. museum visit and 1 research pap.

One of the easiest yet most fun class I've ever taken. Professor Moore is hilarious, and not only that but all tests an quizzes are OPEN NOTE so you don't really have to worry about studying. SHOW UP because attendance matters. DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK AND WASTE MONEY, he literally reads from the powerpoint and that's it.

Nathan Moore is the chillest history professor out there. You'll get into history if you take him. Assignments are straight forward, and are pretty easy to do. Also, tests are open note. Take his course if you want to get an easy A or improve your GPA!

I wish all professors are like him. He is the BEST prof in my life. He is a good listener as well and respects all students' opinions and thoughts. Of course you have to work to get an A, even if he is a good person. You will love history if you take his class.

Professor Moore is the most amazing professor I have had so far at NOVA. Yes, his tests are open note, however his lectures are awesome and he makes everything so easy to remember! one hw per week-300-400 words response. A lot of extra credit. Mid-term and final are easy, Mr. Moore provides a review. He creates a file and updates all of the terms you need to know. Replies fast, cares for his students, great lectures. The whole course is 500 points. Attendance is also 5 points. Allows 1 absence without excuse. One long paper.

I'm taking him for summer online and wanted to review before I forget. To start I used to hate history. It was my WORST subject in high school, but this professor makes the class interesting and easy. He constantly reviews and tells you exactly what to expect for the exams (Midterm, final). Theres 5 discussion board submissions and extra credit.

He is honestly amazing! Show up and pass make sure to do the homework. He is very understanding and wants you to succeed. He knows what he is talking about and loves what he does. Take him and you won't regret it.

Professor Moore is just amazing! I never really cared much for history. However, he made me want to learn more and understand so many things. I would take him again over and over again. If you do not sign up for his class, then you're missing out!

The fun part about being part of professor Moore's class is that every student is very engaging when it comes to historical context, which made for a more enjoyable environment for students to learn amidst the pandemic. Additionally, he only posts around 8-9 assignments for the whole semester (took his class in Fall 2020), which is reasonable.

One of the best professors I have ever had the pleasure of taking. Extra credit opportunities are always available and there are only six 700 word homework assignments. A very easy grader, at the beginning of the semester he even admitted that you would have to try hard to fail. The midterm and final are both open note.

His ability to engage the class made the course an absolute pleasure to be a part of. Professor Moore has a gift for prompting critical thinking. He creates a natural learning environment that you become so immersed in, that the information just naturally becomes deeply ingrained in your memory.

This class was so enjoyable. i hate history, this is my 3rd time taking this class, i am thankful i chose this professor. He makes classes entertaining and knowledgeable. there are weekly 500words writing assignments, and 4 tests noncumulative. if you do the homework, you'll pass. tests are fill-in the blank vocab tests. Professor Moore is a great professor and I had the pleasure of having him. He set a clear set of grading criteria that made it really easy to follow and finish assignments on time. There are assignments that have about 700 words after watching a video or reading something and about 3 weeks to do them. . His lectures were great and made you think.

One of the only professors that will go above and beyond to help you out. He makes lectures fun and easy to grasp the concept. Very hard not to get an A or B. Never really liked History but hes definitely changed my opinion on the class.

Moore is unintentionally hilarious. Took his class for transfer credit and ended up loving it. He wants his students to succeed and grades generously (exams are literally fill-in-the-blank). I loved his class; it is taught with a religious lens in mind and was unlike the history courses I've taken before. Would recommend for sure! Awesome guy.

Prof. Moore is by far my favorite teacher this semester! Every topic has a 700 word essay but the essay is in your words so it is super easy to write! He's super lenient with due dates on homework and has amazing lectures. For an 8AM class he kept me from falling back to sleep!! AMAZING TAKE HIM. He's so caring and kind!!

Pro Moore is amazing! Lectures are fun and interesting but it does get out of hand. He gives short hw that involves reading and writing but as long as you do it, you'll get a good grade. Midterm & Final are easy and can use notes. One 3 paged research essay in this course. I do recommend him.

I took his first online class, so he didn't have much control over the content, but he was very present through reply and just being available for meetings to go over any questions we had. I appreciate his caring and gentle ways of dealing with students, I bet it is a lot more fun to have his own classes. I definitely recommend taking his classes.

The textbook was free and accessed by google docs, the assignments were easy to understand but very meaningful, and there were always options. Professor Moore was a wonderful teacher and he is an amazing person as well, late work was often accepted. Open note tests, too. I learned a lot but it wasn't a difficult class.

Easy A class with a chill professor. His lectures are informative and engaging. The workload is light with only one homework assignment every week or so. He is very lenient and accommodates the class. You don't have to take a lot of notes during lectures since exams are open notes based on simple key words. No textbook required as well. Cool guy.

Everyone in my class loves Professor Moore! The mid term is open note and he records all of his lectures. He gives us key terms that will be included on the mid terms. Heres a rundown, he enjoys history enjoys teaching. He cares about the student. He gives you a lot of extra time if you need. If you missed any of the assignment, you can always turn it in by end of the semester and hell take it. Assignments per topic so 7 assignments, super easy2 exams OPEN NOTE literally reviews the exam before examTAKE HIM.

He makes history fun to learn. no quizzes at all, two tests, one essay, and homework assignments. The homework assignments are pretty easy. I would definitely take him again and I recommend him to everyone.

As a science major that loathes history, this professor not only made it super achievable for me to get this credit that was needed for my degree, but I got an A+. There's quite a bit of reading but he provides the textbook and is very gracious with extensions. If you fall behind, he will help you with no judgment. Take. This. Professor.

Professor Moore is one of the best professors I've had at NOVA. I took him for 100% online and the assignments are very spaced out. He is willing to help with any assignment and he responds to emails in less than 24 hours. Study for the mid-term and final at least a week in advance, he is not a harsh grader at all.

Awesome Professor! Every week, he had a video update for that week's assignments & a step-by-step process. The work is nicely spaced out & gives more than enough time to it. I was having a tough time since History is not my strong suit, but he helped me a lot and truly cares for his student's success. If you're having trouble, reach out!

This professor is the best professor ever; he was an easy grader. You'll have to do homework every week, and there's one mid-exam and final exam, and at the end of class, you'll have to write an essay. Attendance is not mandatory for everyone. You can enroll yourself in his course.

He is a very understanding and merciful person. He is also a young professor so I think that's why he is not really strict. Homework for every chapter, analysis essay, midterm, and final. I recommend him to everyone especially someone who doesn't like history because you will interested in history after taking his class.

This was absolutely the best professor I've ever had. Very fun teacher and very easy exams. Getting an A is very easy. The exams are just word definitions basically and you have the internet to help. Very very easy professor, tests are open note (including the internet) and the weekly assignments are light work. However, during lecture he's very prone to asking extremely obvious questions so then I'm forced to hear the same 3 tryhards say the same obvious thing 3 different ways.

This professor was great and graded on completing the rubrics. He would have you write 400 words weekly on the homework based on different sources and relevant information to the lectures. The lectures were very good at keeping my attention and easy to take notes on.

Honestly best professor i've ever had. I was a little hesitant taking a history course as i'm not really a fan but he made me fall in love with the subject. He's always providing feed back and goes over how the exams are going to look like SO NO SURPRISES! exams were easy and so were his assignments. I would 100% take him again!

While history isn't my strongest subject, professor Moore made the course both engaging and enjoyable. I took the 7wk course and although it was fast paced, he was understanding and made it easy to access assignments and would respond to emails quick! Took the 7wk class. He was great. Very clear, posted weekly videos explaining exactly what hes looking for when grading. Tries to make the assignments as easy as he can. Responds & grades in a timely manner. It is very clear that he knows the topics well and wants you to think critically and learn. Overall a great professor and I'd take him again.

By far the best history teacher i have and i cant explain how much you will learn while being in his class. im taking his other history courses for next semester, all the work is easy, the exams he made multiple choice for everyone and does a review basically of the whole test before hand. the papers are all easy too basically grades on completion.
