I've taken a bunch of religion classes on campus, but Brother Peterson is BY FAR the teacher that has made the biggest impact on me and really knows how to relate the topic to students.

One of the best religious instructors you'll ever take. Class is never boring and you come away with things you've not thought about before about the Savior. He is very engaging and fun!

Amazing teacher! He is very funny and always involves the students. He is also very easygoing with assignments and usually flexible with due dates if you talk to him.

He was new to BYU-Idaho this semester, and I thought I would try his class. I had him for Jesus Christ and the Everlasting Gospel, and he taught me so much about the Savior.

Come to class because it's for a grade but also because you will learn so much! There is papers every week but fairly simple since it's opinionated.

Brother Peterson is great. Very energetic and passionate about the class. He assigns a few papers and attendance and they are your grade. The final is your testimony. I really liked the class and would take another from him. He really cares about each individual student which is so nice.

Brother Peterson is my favorite religion teacher. His class is a very easy A, but you will still learn so much if you let him teach you. He has great insights and really cares about what every single student has to say. I love Brother Peterson because he makes the class more about feeling the Spirit than getting a good grade.

Bother Peterson is amazing. Your grade is based off of your testimony on scriptures and other Gospel Topics so you'll be fine as long as you do the work and a three question quiz every week. He will always make time for his students and makes effort to learn every single person's name, in all his classes. I strongly recommend him.

Amazing religion teacher. Really cares about all his students. By the second class, he has all the names memorized. You will learn a lot,feel the spirit and have fun all at the same time.

Brother Peterson is funny. He is really knowledgeable., kind, and respects his students. Attendance counts as a big part of your grade. In this class you will write a few papers but the papers are so easy. Show up, write your papers, and you will pass the class.

He really works to get to know his students, I always left every class feeling so much better than I went in, and class work is little and not hard at all! but seriously I am currently debating weather taking a class from him 3 semesters in a row would be over kill...

Brother Peterson is so good! I would take every religion class that he teaches if you need to take it. Gives you extra credit. You mark if you read and were in class so your grade is all up to you. The "papers" are pretty much just writing a talk and there are only a few.

Brother Peterson cares a lot about his students, and he gets to know every one of them. His class is super easy, but you still learn a lot from the amazing discussions he leads in class. If you go to class every day and do all of the assignments, you'll end up with more than 100% in the class. I'd definitely take him again. Excellent teacher.

BEST TEACHER EVER! He knew my name from the second week. He teaches with enthusiasm and knowledge. He's funny which makes you want to listen to everything. I feel like he cares, about me, about his class, about his subject matter. Best EVER!

Brother Peterson is the most excellent religion teacher I have had. He's hilarious and listens to all questions and comments from students, though some may be irrelevant. He learns everyone's names quickly. Brother Peterson makes brilliant PowerPoints and brings quotes and insights from all eras of the church. His grading is easy (only papers!).

Brother Peterson has been a super fun religion teacher! He goes really in depth and makes you think of things that havent even crossed your mind before. He quotes Nacho Libre and makes things fun and entertaining! Really enjoyed his class!

I like that he allowed student participates a lot the class. The class is usually directed by the spirit, and based on students questions. He does His best to ensure every student questions are answered. He also tries to know each student personally. He is funny as well. You will love his class. It is fairly easy.

Down to earth very cool approach to teaching religion. The class is incredibly easy. Just a handful of 1 page papers and attendance. You can't go wrong with Brother Peterson, very funny guy, and as far as religion classes go it was a fun class.

Brother Peterson is awesome!! He has a very good way of teaching religion and I would definitely take another class from him. All you have to do is write 5 papers and read any scripture 6 days a week.

Brother Peterson is amazing. I came into his class a couple weeks after the beginning of the semester and he warmly welcomed me. He wants to make sure you succeed in the class, the work load isn't bad. He remembers the names of his students and makes you feel valued. His lessons are powerful and I've learned a lot from him. I love Brother Peterson other than the fact that he is BEYOND strict on attendance, but show up and youll pass. Take one of his classes and guaranteed youll learn how Veggie Tales and the Old Testament are very different.

Brother Peterson is a fantastic teacher! I loved the lectures and he makes sure to let everyone share their comments. The syllabus is well organized. The papers, projects, and final were easy and personally beneficial. Come to class, participate, and do what he assigns, and the class will go smoothly; it's not too hard.

He is fair, kind, funny and relatable. Everything you want in a professor. His philosophy that your religion class should be your easiest class is GOLD. It makes it more enjoyable to come to class knowing its an easy A as long as you read your scriptures and show up to class.

Brother Peterson is one of the BEST people I know! And he is such a wonderful teacher! He had the least amount of work out of any religion professor I have ever taken. All of his lectures were amazing and inspirational, and he is hilarious! He cares for each and every student, and would often ask me about goals I'd been working on. So nice!

He is quite possibly the best teacher at BYU-I. If you have the opportunity to take any of his classes... DO IT! Not only is he continually making the lessons engaging with jokes and insights, but he is incredibly deep. You can go from laughing to expecting God to walk in the room in a split second. Brother Peterson is amazing! He memorized my name from the very first day, and always made an effort to help everyone participate in discussions. Gave awesome lessons, super funny and super insightful. All we had to do was 20 min daily study, and 3 projects + 3 one-page papers throughout the semester. They were actually fun to do! Learned a ton!

He is a good guy and his class is an easy A. Attendance is most of your grade. Also have to read scriptures for 20 mins daily and write a paper everyother week. Pretty chill. He's a funny dude and spiritual. Only annoying thing is when someone asks a question he opens it up for the class the answer. Sometimes there are some stupid answers.

Professor Peterson was incredible. He was engaging, enthusiastic, and involved in his students success. He repeatedly went out of his way to check on me and do anything he could to help me both in his class and my personal life. He doesn't believe a religion class should be hard, so it is not difficult but you will learn SO much. Highly recommend.

I took Jesus Christ and the Everlasting Gospel from Brother Peterson. He is enthusiastic and fun! He gets loud and silly (I loved his David Archeleta and Josh Groban impressions) He makes doctrine easy to understand and applicable. He explains assignments well and has fair expectations. He just wants you to come closer to Jesus. Awesome professor!

I took Brother Petersons eternal marriage class a few months after I got married and I LOVED his class!! He is one of the best professors here. He is funny, yet brings the spirit into every lesson. The homework is super easy, and he just wants everyone to pass. He learned everyones name within the first week and is so personable!

Brother Peterson is really hilarious but he also knows what he is talking about and brings the spirit. He does NOT pick favorites, he just tends to call on the students that generally like to talk or raise their hands the most. My testimony grew so much in his class and I wish i could have him as a professor for every class!

Brother Peterson is the best. I would love to take from again. The Old Testament can be boring but he made it applicable and entertaining. He doesn't distract from the spirit and loves participation. I loved going to class and feel like I have gained a greater love for the Old Testament. It's an easy A because he just has you grade yourselves.

He learns everyones names within 2-3 classes which is super impressive. Hes very outgoing and talks kind of fast, but hes also super quick-witted and funny. Theres no homework other than read your scriptures for 20 minutes and then a short 3 paragraph paper thats due every other week, if that. Super easy A if you dont skip class.

Brother Peterson is a very caring man and he gives such awesome lectures. Not only does he have an insane amount of gospel related knowledge, but the way he conveys the information is awesome! He is hilarious (students are always laughing) but he also brings the spirit so strongly into the classroom. I HIGHLY reccomend taking him! :)

Literally my favorite religion professor of all time! On days I wanted to zone out, hed call my name into the class conversation and itd turn out to be the most inspiring days that I ended up participating and loving. He takes time to get to know every one of his students names! Hes hilarious and energetic and Im so taking another class!

I never once fell asleep in Brother Peterson's Foundations of the Restoration. He is passionate about the gospel and doesn't get too preachy. Class was engaging and he always left us with a great message at the end. Highly recommend.

I think whoever set up the system is a different person. Very caring in class, very enthusiastic, loves the students and his job, but the I-Learn is much more strict. Gave me a good scare. Overall, he's awesome. 9/10

Brother Peterson is easily my favorite religion professor by far! As long as you read the scriptures (Book of Mormon, general conference, etc.), go to class, and write the super short papers due every other week (easy papers), you will pass this class. I have taken classes from him two semesters in a row, and I will probably take him next semester!

Brother Peterson is truly an incredible man and professor. He is so passionate and extremely knowledgeable about religion- classes with him are always informative and spiritual and entertaining. I loved Brother Petersen! He is so funny and had me laughing every class. He also was pretty easy requirements. He just wanted you to show up, participate, and read your scriptures for 20 minutes each day. There were a couple of little papers, but they were pretty easy. He is super passionate and super knowledgable.

I absolutely love Brother Peterson and the way he structures his class. I've taken both of his religion classes that he teaches and I am so sad he doesn't teach more. I personally think his class should be the model for ALL other religion courses on campus. You are in charge of your learning & your grade, and I always got so much out of each class

Is really inspirational and knows what he is talking about. Really sticks to the doctrine but knows how to apply it to our personal lives. Would really recommend this teacher. You can tell he cares and works with you if needed. Gives extra credit but you probably won't need it. Really liked this class and learned a lot!

If you show up, read your scriptures for 20+ minutes a day, and participate (meaning asking questions or even reading along with your scriptures) you will receive a 75 in the class. The other 25 points come from simple papers that are no more than 1-2 pages and other simple assignments. Nearly impossible to fail this course. Also he is super fun!

Brother Peterson teaches doctrine amazingly well, invites the Spirit, and is flat-out hilarious! Not to mention he truly cares about others. He uses popular movie clips and silly videos to illustrate some of his points, which really made my day! Only a few easy papers and daily scripture reading of your choice are required besides attendance.

Very little homework, but you definitely learn a lot!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Brother Peterson!!! He is hilarious. He makes the funniest comments but then he is SO in tune with the spirit. He cares about his students SO much. The homework is a simple quiz every week. One time I showed up late to class and I was worried I wasn't present. He said I can have full points because I deserve them.

Everyone loves Brother Peterson. My testimony grew so much with him and he knows lots of origins of words which really helped me learn. He can talk a bit loud which is overwhelming at times but loves his students and really values interactions with them. Lots of pop culture references! Some short essays, participation in class is really important.

Brother Peterson's class is based on going to class and a small writing assignment each week. He is a great teacher who cares about his students. He makes the class entertaining and fun. I 100% recommend taking him for a fun and easy religion class.

If I could take from him every semester I would. Everything is taught with so much enthusiasm and he brings in lots of different perspectives I hadn't considered. There are lots of fun references in class but none of them feel out of place/unrelated to the topic. Coming to this class really puts a smile on my face every single time, worth taking.
