REALLY GOOD OVERALL, EXPLAINS VERY NICE. THE ONLY SUGGESTION i WOULD MAKE IS TO NARROW DOWN TO KEY POINTS SOMETIMES WE WERENT AWARE OF WHAT WE HAD TO STUDY FOR EXACTLY.

Lectures were very to the point. The study guides for the online readings easily prepare for tests. And take notes in class, because he explains concepts very well, he is usually concise in the info given. PAY ATTENTION the first week because he explains crucial assignments that are worth a lot of points, which some people didn't understand somehow

I really liked him as a teacher. If you do the work it is a really easy class. Some people said he wasn't clear on what they needed to do but I don't see why because he explained it almost every class period. He would sometimes post assignments late but then he gave us extra time to do them.

This was an interesting class. You can tell that he really enjoys what he is doing. I feel that he does try to make it so possible for you to do the best. He is very willing to work with you if you have a problem. I would take this class from him again.

He really is a good teacher but it was his first time teaching a overall science class, since he told us that he is actually a chemist. So he's not a bad teacher but he just needs to get into it. It's very easy to get a good grade if you do the assignments and study groups. You don't even need to do that good on the tests and you can pass.

Overall, this was one of my best teachers here on campus. I have learned so much more about science foundations than I thought I would and, it was fun to learn to boot. I give this teacher a rating of 95% for being humorous, kind, caring, respectful, crystal clear on explaining the curriculum, and not being leniant on the homework.

I took CHEM 105 from Brother Rawlinson. He is very passionate about CHEMISTRY and loves to teach it. His tests are difficult but he prepares you well for them. I would recommend this teacher to anyone who wants to know their stuff for the ACS Final.

Brother R did okay teaching the material, but the tests were always really hard. I think that was more the departments fault than his. There was a LOT of work to be done for just a foundations class, but it was more time consuming than hard. But if you do it all it is really easy to get a good grade

THe class was exciting. It was mandatory to read and turn it in at the beginning of class, then review questions as a class for participation points. My favorite were star points. I wish we would have reviewed before submitting hw. Bro. Rawlinson was available outside class to help. He has a very loud, resonating voice, and good sense of humor.

I got an A with Brother Rawlinson because of how interesting and fun he made chemistry! I enjoy chemistry now and would definately take another class from him. I started this class terrified because, I had heard how hard it was. However after a while I realized that I enjoyed the class. Brother Rawlinson teaches well but, sometimes quickly. Take advantage of the oportunity to go and see him at his office. He will help you really know the material if you do. Study every day in this class!

This class is hard like all Chemistry classes, but Brother Rawlinson is helpful and will meet with you outside of class. Take the time to read and study and you should do fine

I really liked this class. He was very good at explaining things, and he gives you lots of chances to earn points so if you are a bad test taker you can still get a good grade in the class. He also offered some chances for extra credit. I highly recommend him, especially if you've never taken chemistry.

Amazing teacher. I very strongly dislike Chemistry and still enjoyed going to class every day. Very clear and helpful, and will do just about anything to help you out. Also, his breath always smells like lemons which is due to the fact that he once inhaled a lemon starburst, the remains of which are no doubt still clinging to his alveolar sacs.

Rawlinson is a very helpful teacher. He will spend a lot of time with you outside of class so that you can understand the material. His test and quizzes are challenging. He gives homework assignments everyday which are very helpful on keeping you on track and keeping up with the class information. Plus his eyes are like sparkling diamonds! :)

Tests are all multiple choice, if you know basic algebra and can memorize a couple things you'll do fine. It is a difficult subject, but he allows lots of opportunities to earn points besides tests. Requires an I-Clicker, but its basically free points.

He's a nice guy, but the course is really tough. Homework isn't too bad each night, and he tries to have an even mix of odd (answers in back of book) and even numbers. Tests were killers for me, But he's very helpful if you go into his office. The only problem I had was participation points where you had to get up and explain a hmw ques.twice

Chemistry is difficult, but when you put effort into it, I would say he is very fair with what he expects. And gives quizes that accurately quiz you instead of what I heard from other professors as having quizes not well written as to ability to know basic aspects you learn. I would highly recommend him.

No matter who you take Chem from it's going to be hard, so you will have to do work to succeed. I am not a fan of Chem and it's confusing, but if you attend class and do all the homework; even if you do bad on tests, you can pass this class. The teaching method he uses is good. He's a really great teacher. Every day we can write homework problems on the board that we struggled with and need help on. I really liked the atmosphere in his class; you can ask any question and he won't make you feel stupid for asking. Chem is always hard & stressful. this is my second time taking chem and i felt like i learned so much more and he taught 10 times clearer too. You will have alot of HW & a quiz almost every week. Labs are what brought my score down and didn't really help for the test, just busy work. Make sure to check your lab w/ others in the class

He knows where we come from because he went to school at here too and he makes Chem fun, not to mention he makes and gives you ice cream at the end of the semester! HW should be graded on completion in my opinion but in this class its do it and get graded on 1 problem. No study guides for exams and HW doesnt get back to you until after the exam is over so read read read!!!

The class was good for the average student. As for me, it didn't cover anything I hadn't already learned somewhat in high school. He was good at explaining concepts. HW, tests, quizes, and labs helped the learning process. For me, however, there was too much busy work.

Brother Rawlinson is a VERY good teacher! He makes sure that you understand the content and he is excited to help you understand better if you are struggling. He's not going to make you feel dumb because you didn't understand it the first time he taught it. I highly recommend taking his class! :)

brother Rawlinson is able to lay things out in a clear and basic level, that even simple minds was able to grasp the difficult subject. it's not an easy class, but it is possible to do well if you put in the effort, and study. my recommendation is to read on time every time, and to keep good notes as you go.

Brother Rawlinson is AWESOME!!!! He teaches you to understand the concepts... not to memorize a bunch of tables. (there is a little bit of memorization, but if he can help it you won't do the memorizing unless it is absolutely necessary.)

This is a hard class and it requires a lot of work, but Bro Rawlinson is a great teacher. His homework assignments are designed to help you learn and class time is pretty helpful. Go to the tutor sessions! Plan to spend several hours a wk with the hw and you'll do alright. Study the book. Take notes as you read. Do practice problems. Good class!

I had Brother Rawlinson for chem 105. I've taken this from other teachers and he is the easiest, but only because he teaches the best and most clearly. It is a hard class, but he does the best job teaching it. He is also really nice.

great teacher! extremely hard subject but taught better then most ive heard of at school. always there when you need help and teaches clearly and challenges you. homework due basically every class so you have to stay on top of everything. hard to catch up if you fall behind because the class moves fast.

You will have to work hard. If you want an A you will probably be studying 2 to 3 hours a day. DON'T FALL BEHIND. Be consistent with homework and reading assignments and you will be fine.

I had to retake chemistry and thought I'd give Rawlinson a shot. In my first class with Bro. Ott I was floundering. In this class I actually UNDERSTOOD the material! He is very helpful, takes time to explain things, and he isn't boring at all! I HIGHLY recommend him. He is the reason why I am passing! He is an AWESOME teacher!

Br. Rawlinson is a great teacher and creates a fun and comfortable atmosphere in the classroom. Chemistry can be a very challenging subject but Br. Rawlinson provides the students with many ways to practice the skills learned in class. He gives daily homework assignments, daily reading, quizzes over each chapter, lab reports and tests.

Good teacher loves what he does. He has you take 4 tests. At end of each chapter you have a quiz. They alternate between take home and testing center. Hes willing to help you after hours. His manorisms can come off a bit over confident or even cocky. His numbers might be a inflated because he gives extra credit for posting about him. Great Teacher

He knows the material very well, but I learn the math material in a different way than he teaches. He also teaches everything after we take book notes. I find it much more useful to learn in th classroom and then take notes. Just don't get overwhelmed when he sometimes assigns a little homework without even teaching the material. It happens.

He tries to explain everything he can and show different examples. He is always willing to answer questions, Lots of points available so your grade doesn't depend on the exams alone.

Rawlinson is one of the best professors I've had at BYU-Idaho. If he was teaching CHEM 106 I would gladly take it from him. He assigns readings and homework from the textbook that are due every class (I-Clicker questions for readings). You have to know this stuff for the test anyways so it doesn't feel like busy wor; it just boosts your grade.

You'll have reading and quizzes for each class as well as study groups weekly. He's a good teacher, he'll explain things if you don't understand, but his tests are pretty hard.

Br. Rawlinson was a very helpful teacher! The tests are 5 times harder than the quizzes so beware! This class moves fast and requires a lot of out of classroom work. The best way to study is probably in groups. Overall, a pretty hard class that requires a lot of hard work

I have Taken 105 from another Chem. teacher and brother Rawlinson teaches amazing compared to the other teacher. He teaches every thing that you need to know for the ASC final.

Tests were difficult but if you put in the hours, you can pull a decent grade.
