Professor Ahmed is also the teacher that teaches accounting at NOVA. I took this course online and it was really easy. He really wants you to succeed, and is always available to help you if needed. The homework is through connect, however, he makes it so you can always check to make sure your answers are right before submitting. I highly reccomend

Professor Ahmed has to be the most organized professor I've had in my college career. His notes are clear, concise and very helpful in solving problems. If you apply yourself, you should be able to get an 'A' in this class. He gives many opportunities for students to raise their grade; but he doesn't give the grade away, you have to do the wk.

If you need an online accounting class take Ahmed. I am awful at math but the course is laid out so simply, concise, and well organized. Weekly connect homework but there is an option for a tutorial on tough questions. Great class.

Professor Ahmed was fantastic! He was organized and graded assignments quickly, while also giving excellent and thorough feedback. His mid-term and final exams were tough, but he provided study guides that were very helpful.

Definitely a professor that wants his students to succeed. I took accounting 211 and 212 as two eight week sessions and was apprehensive about packing so much material into a small time frame but Professor Ahmed really wants his students to do well and offers ample opportunities for extra credit and is very clear with his expectations.

good class, only down side is that the exams hold a lot of weight to your grade, so study for those! homework is easy. if you take the 8 week hybrid for both 211 and 212, you only need to buy 1 book, since the connect pass code works for both classes.

I enjoyed taking Mr. Ahmed's class. Attending class is important since it was only once a week. If ever needed to contact him he provides his email and cell phone number. Allows you to turn in late work but try not to fall too far behind because it would be a lot to do all at the same time.

However, the 8 week course is so dense that we often went over the scheduled lecture time and for those of us who worked night shifts, this caused some issues. He will work with you to make sure you understand the content though!

This was a hybrid 8-week Acct 211 course, so it was challenging by definition. Professor Ahmed clearly wants his students to succeed so he highlights certain topics and elements to make it manageable. Unfortunately, it is a difficult subject and his lectures are confusing so the class is hard. But he is a good, flexible guy and is there to help you

Great guy and better teacher. I wish we didn't miss the first two weeks of class of an 8 week course and taken two tests worth 2 and half letter grades so quickly without catching up, but it was worth it. He will make you laugh and keep you awake.

I took the 8 week course. It's a lot of information crammed into a little bit of time, and I'm not sure I would do it again in this format. I do think, however, that Dr. Ahmed was the best professor to take it with in this format. He is helpful and wants to see his students succeed.

I took the ACC 211-8 week Hybrid course. The exams are hard there are 3 on them but he does provide you with a study guide that he goes over which helps a lot. He does randomly call on your from the class roll of names to answer questions. He is pretty laid back with assignments and is really understanding which is awesome.

Professor Ahmed is a solid instructor. He clearly is an expert in his field and you can tell that he loves what he does. By taking this class and hearing from him about accounting and how solid it is as a career, I have decided to pursue a career in accounting myself. I would recommend him to anyone.

Really enjoyed having professor Ahmed. Be prepared for the high pace if you take his eight week course. It is very time consuming, I mean SUPER! Exams are hard, but he gives good study guides. As long as you do all your work, and practice your study guides, you will be good. Would recommend.

This was an 8-week hybrid version of the course and was also 7pm to 9:45pm. Don't plan on getting out any earlier than 9:45pm. It is a lot of material, and a big concept to get ahold of without any accounting knowledge, but Professor Ahmed is calm, friendly, and wants you to understand the principals. Very personable fellow.

I signed up late for Accounting 211 so one of the only classes left was an 8 week hybrid version. At the time I didn't realize how difficult this class was. Its not impossible, it just takes dedication. and Mr. Ahmed is great and cares about your grade so he will give extra credit and even hold study sessions! I would do it again.

He is a really nice professor. All homework is on the connect I believe theres 2 test/quiz that are also on the connect. There are four in class test the first three are on a scantron which is worth 175 points. And the last one which is the final and is optional if you have a B or A in that class since that test is only worth 45 points.

212 is much easier then 211 although it still requires a good amount of work to learn. The teacher is great, he cares and wants you to exceed. Easy grader, 3 tests and test are hard but if most of the class gets a question wrong he will give the whole class credit for that question. There are many assignments to help your grade and extra credit.

Professor graded everything quickly and posted the grades. There was a good amount of extra credit given at the end to help bring grades up. Just do the work he assigns, listen to the lectures, and study the exam study guide and you will pass easily. But make sure to ask if you don't understand something- don't get left behind!

A lot of homework! However, not NEARLY as much as ACC 211. Best of luck to you all who don't like to study, but at minimum, review the in class assignments before an exam and make sure you pick up the easy points in the discussion boards.

Professor Ahmed is a great teacher. He cares about his students and wants to see everyone succeed. He explains the material thoroughly, and answers questions when asked. There is a lot of homework to complete so stay on top. If you study the exam sheets, take advantage of the extra credits that are being offered, then you should well in his class.

Professor Ahmed was an awesome teacher. He keeps you up to date and makes sure you are where you are supposed to be in the course. He lays out exactly what you need to do to get a good grade. He also give you a study guide for every exam though there is a lot of homework if you stay on top of it you will do great in this class.

You won't learn much about Accounting in this class, but if you go to class, do the assignments, and use the study guides to prepare for exams., you will do well. Professor Ahmed wants you to do well. He's a good guy!

He's honestly very helpful and will help you one on one. Most of the work isn't difficult if you pay attention and participate in class.

The professor is quick at responding if you have questions and does a great job overall. The work given isn't too hard and the homework gives you hints and helps walk through how to do the problems. Overall if you put the time in the class and actually try it isn't a hard class.

Professor Ahmed was great with feedback and the discussion boards were not standard questions. You had to apply what you learned in the chapter. Since this was an online class, I did not have much interaction with him, although he let us know that we could reach out to him if needed. He offered homework tips & the book gave online helps, too.

If you struggle at all with this course it will take you longer to do the homework assignments which in turn at points can make you feel overwhelmed. Suggestion... if questions or you don't understand something just ask for help because its available and it will make your life easier.

ACC 211 - 10 Week course Nauri Ahmed is a great teacher with clear knowledge and experience in his field. He knows how to respond to and help out all his students and is overall an amazing teacher. The class I took was ACC 211 and it was the 10-week online class. This was my first online class so I was pretty scared but most of the stuff you need to do in his online course is easy it really just feels like participation points. He is very nice in his emails so if you have a question about anything you don't need to worry about an attitude.

I wish there was some kind of incentive for students to attend the group study session. I really wanted to attend it to help my grades but there were not enough of us to have it. I know it is asking a lot of the professor to come out for a couple of students, but I know I would have gained a lot from it.

The class structure was perfect for me. I had a text book in front of me, and also one on line. the online extras were very helpful as were the homework helps and powerpoint presentations

This professor is awesome! He knows that we are adult learners and treats us as such. He focuses on the learning process rather than just completing work for a check in the box. He give feedback and offers another attempt on several assignments, which aligns with teaching and learning philosophy. Take him, you wont be disappointed.

His online course was very organized and I always knew what was excepted of me for that week. It is a four credit class, with that being said, the work load was what I expected. The connect homework took the most time, and the hints are very helpful. If I had a question about anything, he gave me insight on what to do and in a timely manor.

Mr. Ahmed is a great professor. He responds to emails and grades in a timely manner and seems like he genuinely cares about your performance and well being in the class. The class itself, however, has a heavy work load. You can't procrastinate in this class or you'll have a lot to catch up on.

He is very flexible with grading and make up work as well as extra credit. I have a family and work full time and missed deadlines but was given plenty of opportunities to catch up.

He did a solid job but there were 10 assignments that had 70 questions worth only 2 points each which was pretty pointless to do. Other then that though he let everyone know if they were on track or behind. ACC 211-10

I had Professor Ahmed for ACC-211-8 Week Hybrid course. He was very understanding and very flexible with his due dates for assignments. He was great at explaining the material and limited the lecturing to provide more time for hands on group exercises and problems.

Professor has practice problems for each chapter after the lectures. Try to keep up with the homework since it is a fast paced course, you can get behind easily. He also gives good feedback which is nice.

I would recommend taking Professor Ahmed's class. I took his class for accounting 212. I was a little doubtful of it being an 8 week class but he made it as enjoyable as he could. He works really great with others and is so understanding when it comes to the unexpected happening and giving you extra time if needed. He will go above and beyond.

Nauri Ahmed is a great professor. In the 8-week course, expectations were outlined from the start, and all assignments were available to start whenever you were ready. While deadlines were set for Connect homework assignments, they were flexible, and he was always willing to help with or chat about pretty much anything. I definitely recommend him.

You have a lot of homework but it's easy if you keep up with it. He lectures a lot but it's better to be in class and listen because he makes you sign in and there's worksheets in class but they aren't graded. Make sure you keep on top of your homework. You have connect homework every week, a discussion board with two replies, and an assessment.

Professor Ahmed is a great professor he cares about his students and he always make sure that you understand the work before he goes to the next assignment. He would even stay late to help you, now that's a caring person.

I had Mr. Ahmed for both ACC-211 and ACC-212, both classes were hard. for the first one I had to see a tutor every week and really try. this class wasn't as hard, but still not easy. Mr. Ahmed makes it better though, he is very understanding, is willing to help you, gives extra credit, and gives a lot of useful advice about life! GREAT teacher!

A lot of reading but Prof. Ahmed is pretty good at breaking it down and making the topics easy to follow. He also tries to make it easier by providing multiple sources of info and responding quickly to any questions.

The class that I took with Professor Ahmed was an 8 week course at Germanna and unfortunately also just a once a week night class. In total there were 8 classes but two days got cancelled and one of them I was super sick so I had to cram an eight week class into 5 weeks. The professor was really understanding and willing to work with me.

He is a very caring and kind teacher who will work with you if you work with him. He won't move on to another lesson until everyone understands the material and he gives lots of examples of the material for practice. There are weekly discussions that I felt were not necessary. That made for extra work. In addition to the exams there were assesments of chapters lumped together. The good thing i she allowed for late work w/o penalty. Also could do exams from home.

I TOOK HIS ACC 212-FHO3 (7-week hybrid) and I can say I thought it would be a lot of work but it wasn't that bad. Yes, he gives you a lot of work but he does that so he can give you all the points as possible. He is easy going as long as you communicate with him and do his work. The thing that helped me was that he excepted late work.

Since this is a hybrid course with an online book, i was a little overwhelmed at first, but its not as bad as it seems. The professor is lenient with late work.

I took this course as a 7-week hybrid course which made it very fast paced. Prof. Ahmed is a great professor and made sure the course was laid out clearly before the start, but it is very much on you as the student to keep up with the work.

This class was a very crazy but organized roller coaster ride. Proffesor Ahmed is an amazing accounting professor. Beware though if you're taking the 7 week class make sure you're not taking to many classes. Its a lot of work and information in a short amount of time. But professor Ahmed makes it possible.

Tests had a bit of a curve to grading, not much but enough to make or break a pass/fail. The workload despite being a bit burdensome was completion at own pace with the entirety of assignments available day 1 and completion by classes last day.

The class was intense for a seven week class. Hopeful it improves as he learns more about Learnsmart. Other than the overload of homework the Professor was very caring and clear on his grading. He placed everything on black board homework etc the first day of class so you could work at the pace that is best for you.

A lot of Learnsmart questions, but took our consideration into lessening them. Very high paced class, you may have to play quite a bit of catch up towards the end. Overall, great instructor, great class.

I had him for Acct 211 8 weeks in class and he was great! His Acct 212 was forced to be online due to the pandemic but he made the best out of it. Everything was still easy to access. He made accounting easy to learn. Keep up with the online homework because if you wait till the end of the semester you won' t be able to finish it all.
