ACC 211-072w 8 Week Hybrid (Ft. Belvoir-Tuesdays 6:30-9:10pm I really enjoyed the class and he is a fun Professor.

Professor Ahmed is extremely reasonable. He's willing to give you opportunities that will help your overall grade, but you have to also be willing to work hard. The class itself is intense, but if you do the work on Blackboard and study for the tests you should be fine.

Having missed the first two classes due to inclement weather, students especially new one should be give more time to complete the assignments.

Professor Ahmed, is very upfront in regards to his expectations with the class. Due to medical reason I missed a few classes, which made it very hard for me to catch up. He was willing to work with me to catch up. He has the class laughing when you forget to do your homework he will send you a reminder to complete it.

But beware this is still a really difficult class so you really have to be prepared to work hard outside of class. Maybe it will be easy for you but he offers lots of material in order to help you.

Professor Ahmed is flexible and understanding. The exam study guides could be improved. The mid-term study guide was disorganized. Students should focus on the examples in the book, red flags, and controls to prevent the types of schemes. The case studies are critical. Class participation is important to earn points. Prof Ahmed was very helpful, even though it was an online summer class you could tell he wanted you to succeed in his class. The only problem I had was that the online exams were not the same type of format as the homework and quizzes which can trip many students up including myself. Other than that a good professor with announcements weekly!

For Online- must participate (writings) on 3 separate days, quiz each week (8 week course), a mid term exam, a final exam and a project w/ paper. Extra credit was given in form of a survey. If you do the work and study you can get an A. Make sure to read ALL the case studies from the book.

Professor was good at keeping us updated on what was due each week. He gave good feedback to our discussion boards. This was class ACCt 211-10 also since the class was online grades were posted immediately except discussion boards because he graded them. Otherwise it was a good course just my first online so more difficult than I thought.

The quizzes do not reflect the exam questions. For the final exam, I did very well because I read the entire chapter, quizzes, and cases. He also gave an extra credit survey which put me in the A range for the final grade. Read the chapters and cases. Participate in discussions for easy points. There is a paper on fraud risk using ACFE surveys.

The class overall is not an easy class. Taking it online made it that much more difficult. Professor Ahmad is great with posting every week about assignments. As well as be a helpful resource for guidance through out the course. If you keep up to date with the assignments and study 4-8 hours for exams you should finish with a passing grade.

8 week (ACC 211-072w) class. Accounting is HARD, I honestly did not think I could pass this class in the beginning. This course is very heavy on the homework & the lectures are fairly light. I wish he would go into more detail when it comes to the in class assignments. Lots of extra credit! Show up every week, do your HW & you will pass.

Accounting 211 with Professor Ahmed was great. He motivate his students and cares about his students to do better and to have a better future. The class consist of 3 exams, connect homework, and in class activities. If you do your work on time and study for the exams you should be fine.

This was the professor's first time teaching BUS 224. He asked us how he could improve the class, and he promised to make changes for the benefit of future classes.

I took this professor for ACC 211 (11am tue-thurs) and he was one of my favorite professors to date. Lectures every class, and have in class practice which are very helpful on the exam. Provides a study guide for each exam in the beginning of the semester, and is open to any questions and wants his students to succeed.

Some of the coursework is really hard for the class, but he wants you to pass. He will take the time to explain something if needed. A lot of outside studying is needed to get an A for this class.

Go to class, participate, and complete all in class/homework given. Its a pretty simple class as long as you pay attention and apply yourself.

This was his first time teaching this class and it did show, he was always asking for feedback from us on what we thought was fair. While this was nice, at times he was too lenient. He has tons of resources to offer students for careers, mostly in accounting but also in business fields. Definitely worth listening to as far as future planning.

ACC212-075W I took ACC211 & A212 this fall, both were 8 week sessions. ACC212 was alot easier then ACC211. Professor Ahmed gives lots of extra credit and a bunch of homework. There were 3 exams but they were all pretty straight forward, no surprises.

Simply pay attention and you will be fine. Begin is pretty easy but like most classes the difficulty increases. Ask questions form a study group if needed and do extra credit! Its easy and can drastically boost a letter grade. Do not be lazy

I took his 11AM class and it was a great start to the day. Professor is very knowledgeable in the items he teaches. He provides ample amount of notes such as study guides and powerpoints for you to catch up on anything and to also help when exam dates arrive. He does also give a chances for extra credit so it does help to take advantage of that.

The class is fairly easy, but you do have to put in the effort to attend every class and keep up with the notes. He tries to keep the lecture short so that you can practice on your own and then ask questions.

ACC211-72YW (Fort Belvoir) Professor Ahmed took the time to respond patiently to all students' questions during the lectures. His grading criteria was clearly stated, and he went above and beyond to assist students with being able to complete each assignment.

I took the 8 week class with him and i'm glad i did. You shouldn't have a problem acing this class (study guides) there was lots of homework at home cause we only saw him once a week, but that is expected due the time frame of this class. If you're an accounting major, I would recommend taking the 16 week to really learn cause it's a lot of info.

He uses lectures to teach you, but includes examples from personal experience and things easy to understand.

Hybrid 8 week course. Heavy HW, but to be expected due to 8 week pace. Clear guidelines for tests. Videos made by professor VERY HELPFUL and that info wil be on test.

Such a nice guy! This was an 8 week course @ ft belvoir. He would give us extended time on the homework because alot of us work. He is very clear on what he wants and makes sure evryone in the class is on the same page.

I learned a lot in this class. I took the 8 week class which was busy. Weeks 6 and 7 being the busiest. The projects actually helped me learn a lot about the subject matter. Made me use the text outside of the text. Good class. Stressed those two weeks, but overall good class.

ACC 211 72YW 8 Week course was good. Professor knows the subject and works with you to do the best as possible. Great guy. A lot of online homework and assignments, but if you go to class and study hard you should be fine with this class.

I took this course as an 8-week online class to give me the credits required to sit for the exam. Although I already have my BBA in Accounting, I found the course to be relatively easy. That being said, it is structured in a way that will help you retain the material and get a deep understanding. Take this professor.

I would really recommend Professor Ahmed to any of my friends taking business statistics or accounting. In this case, the "lots of homework" tag is an excellent bonus. By assigning this much homework, the professor counterbalances any poor exam grade you may receive. The homework is math oriented, and the test is concept oriented. EXCELLENT class!

I definitely recommend professor Ahmed. I failed the first time I took accounting and I hated it but after taking it with him I actually realized accounting is not that bad. !!FOR BUS224!! Professor Ahmed is experienced and knowledgable in his subject area. I learned a lot of things that I can put to use in the future. The work load in his class is a little heavy, however if you make sure to stay on top of the work you should be fine. And even then he is generous and allows extensions on due dates for assignments.

He gives a detailed explanation in what's happening each week on Canvas/email/in class. I took his 16 wk class in fall 2019. The material was challenging, but Prof. Ahmed did his best to help us, and there was lots of extra credit too. He's nice, very understanding, and he really helps with any of his students' problems. Although you can miss a few classes if you need to, attendance points are a big help so don't miss too many.

I took it in fall 2019 as a 16 week class. You can really tell that the professor cares for he's students and what will happen after they leave his class. This class he really focused on excels. Some of the videos were outdated and it helped that we had someone who took an advanced IT class. The professor is open to suggestions.

I've taken ACC 211 and ACC 212 in Professor Ahmed's class and he truly is a great instructor. If you're serious about putting in the work and following along with his lectures and homework, then you have no reason to get anything less than a B. 10/10 would recommend.

I had prof Ahmed for the standard 8 week course. Not only did he get straight to the point but class assignments were quick and efficient. Everything covered in class was on the final so there were no surprises. For an 8 week course everything went smoothly. However do not procrastinate on the connect homework, those require more time to complete.

Professor Ahmed makes it very clear from the beginning of the semester what you need to do to pass the class. He is always very willing to help. Make sure you take your laptop to class to follow along with the lecture. 10/10 would take again.

Mr. Ahmed is a superb professor , he is very straight forward and grades very fairly. Another thing, he provides additional extra credit and is very understanding!

I took Professor Ahmed 8 week hybrid class at fort Belvoir for northern Virginia community college ( woodbridge). Hes very understanding and have a very clear and detail criteria. Their is a lot of homework, exams and everything is fast paced so make sure to study and get ahead on homework assignments. I would take his class again.

Was in his 16 week Tu/Thurs class and it was so much easier than I thought a stats class would be! Not really based on math and equations, more so principles and terms. Lots of extra credit points, and almost every assignment is a guaranteed A. Take him you won't regret his class!!

Taking Stats is not so hard if you take it with Prof. Ahmed. He makes sure you learn the material by providing a variety of resources. Yes, you get a handful of homework, but they are mostly completion grades. If you attend class and do your work you should pass with no problem. He is very considerate, caring, and also gives extra credit.

BUS 224 Spring 2020. Professor Ahmed has the course works laid out from the beginning of the semester so you can work at your pace. Hard work counts more than exam which is excellent. He answers email quick and also explains in details. He is understanding and give extra credits too. I enjoy his class since I learned so much.

Professor Nauri is a very dedicated professor who wants his student to achieve the best. I have been in NOVA for the past 2 years been thought with many professor but Professor Nauri is unique in his way, he is very inspirational when it comes to learning. Accounts is not an easy course but he makes it very enjoyable for everyone.

Professor Ahmed is truly the best professor for Accounting and any other courses he teaches. He understands most student's situation. I will be taking his 212 course coming next Fall semester. If you ask for help, he will go out of his way to help you. 10/10

I took his ACC 212 8 week class hybird/online course. The class was hard and there was a lot of assignment to do in such a small period of time, but the professor was very nice and helpful. He explained everything in his lectures and made sure to go over everything. He is a great teacher and definitely recommend taking his class. Easy A.

THIS IS FOR BUS 224: Took bus224 with a different professor and didn't do good cause she wasn't as clear with her lectures. Professor Nauri was clear and concise, got to the point and had a really clear grading scale with his assignments. Make sure to be on top of your learnsmarts and connect homework. (BUS 224 16 Week)

This Professor was absolutely amazing. He is a very easy grader and cares about his students. All you have to do is show up to his class and pay attention and take notes on what will be on the test (which he provides). I wish I took him for my accounting classes as well.

I took Professor Ahmed for Business Statistics (BUS 224) and I'm thankful I chose his class. This subject was challenging and I was dreading it from the day I started my degree, but he made it less daunting and was very helpful. If you need to take this course I fully suggest choosing Professor Ahmed.

Professor Ahmed was a great instructor. He really knows his stuff about accounting and offers a lot of knowledge on the subject. You do have to purchase Connect for this course as it is where you will be doing your homework. As long as you stay up to date on the homework and don't let it pile up, you will be fine.

This class is easy if you show up to class and participate and ask questions. He is very kind and cares about the students at NOVA. He gardes assignments in a timley manner, and is very understanding. This was the best professor i had at nova take him you will not regret it!!

I took the ACC211 and 212 8 week class, both in one semester. Great professor, actually cares. HW is due at the end of the semester but DO NOT WAIT LAST MINUTE. Teaches very smoothly. Answers any and all questions. If you're taking accounting, Professor Ahmed is your guy!

Professor Ahmed was easy to work with and I highly recommend. He doesn't have specific due dates for HW and quizzes so it is at your own pace which I found very helpful. When you do need help , he is easily accessible and responds very quickly. 5 out of 5 stars.

Nauri Ahmed - He is dedicated to being the best teacher that he. He will try to motivate you so that you will finish the course and not drop it/withdrawal from it. If you have questions/problems with the course, he will do his best to assist you and make you understand the question/problem. I would willingly take another of his courses.

Professor Ahmed is a great professor. The class is fairly easy and all assignments are super clear. He also reaches out if he notices you're falling behind and lets you know to reach out if you're struggling. There's also opportunity for extra credit (wish I would've taken advantage of these!)

Professor Ahmed is extremely chill. as long as you do your work and turn it in you will pass. he does not care about attendance or participation. tests refer back to the homework and classwork so if you do your work, the test will be a easy run

By far the best professor I have had at NOVA. Took him for accounting 211, 212, and business 224. He is so flexible and willing to work with you, the exams and homework are correlated and easy. There is no reason for you not to take this professor you will not regret it!

I took bus 224 online for 15 weeks. He was not strict with deadlines. Mindtap purchase is required. group project ( 2-3 questions per member), 4 case studies ( with similar videos providing answers, will give u time to catch up, 8 chapters ( quizzes and assignments for each, answers can be found online if you get stuck. He is great teacher. Try it.

A lot of homework which is easy and helps you get solid a in the class. Gives you the entire semester to do you hw. Very good professor and caring

Took him in Summer 2022. Exceptional teacher that genuinely cares about his students. Assignments were long and sometimes frustrating, but if you had questions, you can always ask him for help. Tests were Lockdown Browser with webcams on and do your best to be well-prepared for them!

Prof. Ahmed was very helpful and made sure we were provided with all the material for the best way to learn. Majority of the work is online and his study-guides tells you what you need to study on the exams and not just a bunch of terms. Do not hesitate to take this professor!

Great professor as usual, took his ACC 211 class last summer. Homework not too bad because of the system used being built with hints and videos to guide you through the process, but do prepare yourself well for exams, especially the written portion!

His dedication to guiding us through the subject step by step is truly commendable. I've decided to take my next accounting course with him as well.

Professor Nauri Ahmed is an awesome instructor and facilitator for the ACC261 class. There were issues with the online material and Professor Ahmed was able to provide reasonable extensions for all materials and was very flexible with students personal needs and schedules. This class is also a great candidate to use for CPA license compliance.

Great professor. If you fail this class, it means you really really did not try.. He offers SO much extra credit and genuinely wants people to pass. No lockdown browser, plus he offers extensions on home works and test. I was scared to take accounting, but he made it very easy.

I took Tax 1 ACC261 class with Professor Ahmed. Online class? No contact? Proctor exam- tough! But He provided Accumulated Points Guideline as an action for you to easy follow your grade. He also check up with students twice a week and encourage everyone to complete all tasks to get high score. He is one of the most caring teacher i have ever met.

I took ACC219-Acct for Governmental & Non-Profit Entities. This is class is heavy but not too difficult compare to Tax class. Professor Ahmed is a wonderful teacher who inspired and motivated students with specific instruction. He is flexible with deadlines and very understandable for students. Recommend him for Tax-Audit-Acct classes!

Was super nice and gave many opportunities to earn credit. The final exam was optional if you had a high enough grade which was super nice.

Took 212 this summer, and it was fantastic. He sends weekly emails to keep students on track and holds Sunday office hours. If you did well in Accounting 1, you'll do fine here. The tests are challenging, but his recorded lectures are helpful. I'm grateful to Professor Ahmed for making the semester less stressful with his supportive policies.

Professor Ahmed is amazing. The only thing is you have homework for each chapter but if you designate time every week for it then you will be fine and won't fall behind. He gives study guides for all the exams which is really helpful. If you are willing to put in the work then I promise you will do just fine and be exempt from the final.

I have taken Professor Ahmed for Acc 211 and 212 and truly love learning from him. You can tell he is passionate about his craft which is even better it makes you want to learn. We utilized McGraw Hill Connect in 211 and although it was a lot of work I enjoyed every bit of it just try to keep up with the weekly assignments. HE IS THE BEST!

It's not as much work as Acc211 probably because 211 set the ground work. I truly enjoyed Managerial Accounting with Professor Ahmed he is an excellent professor. He made a subject I assumed was dry and mundane very interesting and he also has enough self awareness to realize we have other classes to study for. I can't recommend him enough!

Easy going teacher, I took him for both ACC 211 and 212. There's sorta of a lot of homework to do but it's easy and he gives extra credit assignments. Tests are a bit hard but it mostly goes off the PowerPoints so study those and you'd be fine. Overall a good teacher, would definitely recommend him for both classes.

Another A+ for Prof. Ahmed. ACC 219 was a lot of work, but there was a lot of material to cover. This class had more discussion components that gave us an opportunity to dig deep into real government and non-profit financial reports. As always, Prof. Ahmed cares about his students, bending over backwards to give career advice.
