VERY good class ;) not hard but rather not easy. Take him now! Before its too late.
Dr. Jalota made anatomy and physiology very easy. Yes, I took him for both subjects! Listen to his lectures and read the book. Very helpful instructor.
He is cocky and gives the impression that he is better than everyone. the class is hard and he expects everyone to be experts by the end of lecture/lab. i did not get the same feeling as others posted. he did not seem helpful and often belittled people for their lack of understanding.
Dr. Jalota is a very helpful instructor! He gives a syllabus with the whole schedule (which he follows day by day), makes you chapter outlines, and provides lab instructions. You have to study everyday this class covers about 2 chapters a week, this is a 5 credit course!
He is a great teacher, and what I learned in this class has stuck with me. As long as you study his outlines, you should be fine. You can tell he loves this subject, and he has no problem explaining things over again if you didn't get it the first time. He's easy to talk to, and I would HIGHLY recommend taking him for any subject he teaches.
Read his study guide and take notes. I used the book but mostly his power points. He encourages and shows you how to use Adam. Tests were fair and he went all question so you could see your mistakes. Loved this class in the end and it has been very helpful in Phsyio. Dr.Jalota knows the material and gladly helps in lab. Great sense of humor.
I did not feel helped at all, he was very rude &strict, also during his lecture he kept talking about his Anatomy and Physio classes, did not learn in his class, all he does is read the book that's how he lectures!-_-
Awesome teacher! Explains very well while lecturing from chapter outlines that he prepares for us students. He stresses important concepts required for future classes. Quiz questions are the lab questions word for word. Reading each chapter is a must. If your'e a responsible student you will pass with flying colors and gain a lot of knowledge.
Dr.Jalota is great! If you stick to his study guides you will do well. He is more than willing to help & walks around during labs to make sure nobody has questions. Also, he is very understanding. I was diagnosed w- cancer during the semester & he worked with me every step of the way with dr. appts, etc. to allow me to finish the class. :)
Dr J is a serious person.he wants you to learn. there's no time to be goofing around. He will help you anytime, but the studying is so important. You must be serious to get where you need to go in your career.I will take his Anatomy class 2013.I will look forward to the challenge to be a fabulous rn, as he is a great guy.Just do your work, keep on top
Dr. Jalota is an awesome teacher. He teaches straight out of the book. His class is very structured and he is there to help you if you have any questions. I would definitely recommend taking his class. You can get a good grade but you have to be willing to do the work.
Professor Jalota is an amazing teacher. He is very helpful and very understanding. If you need any kind of help he is always there to help you out. I really enjoyed his class and i'm looking forward to this next semester in Anatomy.
Excellent teacher! He is very easy going and friendly. He demonstrates sincere interest in his students and wants them to be successful and knowledgeable. His lectures are very comprehensible. Like someone commented before he teaches straight out the text. Just take his class already!
Although Biology 107 is a hard class, Dr. Jalota was a very helpful professor. Anytime I was struggling, he was more than helpful. He's easy to understand and answers any questions you might have. I learned a lot in this class. & he's very consistent with keeping up with his emails. I'm definietly am going to try to take him for Anatomy.
First thing: Must be called Dr. Jalota. Always be prepared the moment you walk in the door. There is no power point, he just reads from the book. Lab tests are fairly easy. Don't wait till the last minute to study for tests. Daily quizzes on the lab of the day.
Dr. J is the best!! He lectures and explains his lecture through power point presentations he puts together. Use his outline, lab material, and the book and you learn anatomy at an ultimate level. I worked hard for my A and he made learning easy AWESOME combo. Plus hes cute! :)
Dr. Jalota is a very good teacher. I would recommend him to anyone who "Really" wants to learn.
Really enjoying Dr. Jalota's class. He's VERY well organized, prompt with grades, and super helpful.
Dr Jalota is a great professor. He was always available to answer questions, very helpful and organized. Thanks to Dr Jalota I loved anatomy. I will always remember him as one of my faves. Also I loved getting my grades right away. Thanks Dr Jalota =)
Anat is a 5 unit course no time to play and demands a lot of studying. Dr. J is always there to help. He provides prompt responses to emails, walks around during lab to provide assistance and any clarification. You get test grades back same day, we called him "superman". You get what you earn in his class. If you're lazy don't take him!
Loved his class!
Really cool guy! He wants you to succeed. He loves answering questions and really helpful in the lab. I don't think some people are telling truth on here. I was told by all my friends to take his class, he adds clinical scenarios to his lectures too. He made Anatomy exciting!
Awesome! I took Dr. jalota in the spring of 2012 and he is one of the best professor I have taken in my academic career. HE is very friendly, helpful and does not mind staying after class to help student with any question. His class is hard. No free bees and if you are getting A's on his exam that mean you are smart and hard working. Highly rec.
Dr. Jalota is a great teacher. He wants you to learn. He will not twist your arm to study, and you get the grade you deserve. I thoroughly enjoyed his class.
Dr Jalota is a great instructor. He will give you more than enough information to pass his class and also extra information that will be helpful in the health care industry.
This professor is amazing. He is a medical doctor and he still loves to teach. Super intelligent. I got a B because I was lazy but what ever I studied I will remember it forever. He creates a competitive atmosphere in class to push you to study. Take him and enjoy your semester.
Jalota is very unhelpful. Reads straight from the book. Hates his anatomy class, prefers physiology. Never gives extra credit. Will yell at you like a child after a test you do poorly on. Doesn't explain things in an understandable way. Terrible. DO NOT take him.
Loved Mr. Jalotas class! He made the summer session very enjoyable. Will definitely take him for physiology. We had 32 students, down to about 20. 5 credit classes aren't easy! You have to study!!
He makes anatomy very easy! Gives outlines and tells you exactly what you need to know. He lectures from the book (your reference) which makes finding/ understanding things on your own easy. His tests aren't easy, you have to UNDERSTAND the material. Very fair and VERY HELPFUL instructor. He walks from table to table in lab to assist his students.
I took him during the summer and was able to come out on top with a very good passing grade. The class in general is a tough class and Jalota teaches you everything you need to know.He is great teacher and is more than willing to answer any questions you'll have. Just be prepared to hit the books regardless of the teacher
This teacher is by far the best I have ever had the pleasure of taking. Straight forward no screwing around. Great attitude fun to learn from. He's lays it down the first day of class and if you don't want to learn you won't helpful and kind.
Dr. Jalota pressure was the name I referred to him as. This class was challenging. However, Jalota will take his time to ensure his students have a clear understanding of the information he wants you to know. He's patient and passionate about his students learning. Looking forward to Bio 231 with Dr. Jalota
the best
Awesome teacher!
Dr.J is a great professor. He knows what he's talking about and takes his teachings very seriously. If you don't take your career seriously don't take him because he will force you to learn. I recommend him to those that like group work because his teaching style encourages it. His class expectations aren't complicating. Show up and work hard.
Professor was very organized, serious and punctual with this course. Very serious from the beginning to the end. Learned a lot in his summer course. Will definitely be taking Him for Physiology. Great Class!
Great Instructor with great motive behind his teaching. Make his class interesting while learning. Very fair and doesn't tolerate any game playing. Enjoyed his class!
Very good professor. Always willing to help and made the course fun.
Totally awesome!Speaks clear and concise, sticks to subject matter.I recorded the lectures and listened to them on my commute and did not crash. Provided all the subject matter that mattered. If you study hard, attend, and be attentive you will definitely enjoy this class. This is the class you came to college for.
I had Dr Jalota for both anatomy and physio. He was a fantastic teacher, by far the best I've ever had. He takes the time to make sure his students fully understand all materials covered. He's clear and concise about everything. These classes are very challenging but Dr Jalota makes them seem so easy. Fantastic professor!! Wish he taught micro!!
Dr. Jalota, always took his time to make sure the students understood the material. He is one of the best teachers I’ve had, I totally recommend his classes, I heard that he is really good at biology and anatomy as well, unfortunately I didn't took those classes but if you can I will recommend you to take all your science classes with him.
I took Dr. Jolata's physiology in spring 2014. This class was very challenging, however Dr, Jalota was always really helpful he always took his time to explained anything we didn't understood. Don't play around in his class because he will not tolerate it. Be prepares for pop up quizzes.
I have been fortunate having Dr. Jalota as my instructor for all three of my biology courses needed for the RN program. He is thorough and knows how and when to be serious and also have fun while teaching. He is firm and fun! He is prompt,on time and follows his curriculum so the course is easy to understand. He strives for success!
First of all this class is so interesting. It is not easy at all, you have to work for your grade, but you should already know that. I would definitely recommend taking Dr. Jalota. He is very helpful. Also, he knows the subject well and he explains it well. He has a outline of what he will be discussing in class which is extremely helpful.
He is the worst science teacher at VVC. He is very unorganized and takes forever to grade the essay questions. Lecture consists of him reading the book word by word which makes the class really boring. The questions on his quiz and tests are very vague. If you take him you will be teaching yourself.
Very good teacher! Very organized, keeps your grade posted and up to date and even gives you chapter outlines for every chapter. He keeps you on your toes with quizzes, no time to be lazy! If you can't pass his class that means you didn't put in ANY effort. I heard he was good teacher from a customer at work and I'm glad to have had him.
Took anatomy and physio with dr Jalota; enjoyed both. Very professional, helpful and organized. I Worked hard for my A's and he made the learning process easier and fun.
I absolutely loved Dr. Jalota, by far one of my favorite teachers. The course was not easy but Dr. J made it easy to understand, was straight forward on what he wanted you to learn, never had to guess. He was helpful and available to give extra explanation if needed. Awesome teacher!!! I would love to take any course he teaches.
I absolutely loved Dr. Jalota. The course isn't easy but he makes it easy to understand and always willing to give extra explanation, he makes it known what he expects. By far one of my favorite teachers and I would definitely take any course he teaches. Even after the semester he is there for his students if you need it. Awesome teacher!!!
I do not recommend taking Jalota. He reads straight from the book and makes it hard for us to understand. He isn't clear on what he wants for the essay topics. He also has favorites in his class, and grades unfairly. He has many pop quizzes and takes a long time to grade essays.
Dr Jalota was very helpful and made the class interesting so much so I was excited to attend. He is very kind and listens to questions and answers them until it is understood. He took the time to show and explain about cadaber, and also taught how important it was to be respectful and grateful to the people that donated their bodies to science
Made the class fun and interesting. It was not easy but I learned a lot. I recommend Dr. Jalota. If you did the work it was very enjoyable. I would take his class again.
5 stars.
Enjoyed his class! Very helpful and fair instructor
very helpful, fair and easygoing. can't wait for his other classes. A+!
I give him 5/5 stars!
Dr. Jalota is awesome! He is a medical doctor so he offers great insight in the medical field, especially if you are taking prerequisites for nursing. He is very willing to help anyone who needs extra explanation on the subject. Truly enjoyed his Anatomy class the most.
Tough class and very helpful teacher.
Such a great teacher! So excited when I see he's teaching the next science course I need to take. Plan on taking him throughout all of my science classes!!!!!! Seriously he is the best at VVC.
Professor Jalota is a great teacher. He is always willing to help as long as you, the student puts in 100%. He has always answered our questions and has overall been great. Looking for him for my future courses.
I took Jalota's Bio 107 class. Not only did I learn, but I gained a whole new perspective on working hard for my grade. All I can really say is, if your looking to take anatomy and actually apply it to your career, take his course. You will not regret it, I feel well prepared for physio after his class.
Professor Jalota is a very good teacher with a lot of passion for teaching. He demands respect and attention during class. He gives long but thorough lectures. Pay attention, take notes, and study! It will pay off in the end. He is always available for emails. He welcomes questions.
Dr. Jalota was awesome!!! Biology in general is a tough class, but he makes it very clear what is expected of you and what will be on the test. I have never had a teacher be so helpful. Our study group would stay after with a list of questions written on a paper after class and he would stay and answer every single one. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
Dr. Jalota was really helpful and there for you in lecture and lab. This class requires a great deal of studying and you have to be prepared for that. He guides you very well and makes sure you understand.
Dr Jalota is a skilled teacher who genuinely wants his students to succeed but you have to work hard and study a lot. Forming a study group will help as long as you can stay on task. If you don't understand a concept , ask him to help clarify it for you. I recorded his lectures and listened it to fine tune my notes and as a study aid. Good luck!
He is the best! Took him for human anatomy and he takes a lot of tough material and breaks it down for you to understand and learn. Very cool guy and he is pretty good-looking too so it makes it not so bad to come to class everyday ;) Overall I highly recommend taking Jalota for any of the science classes you need :)
Great teacher! Very straight forward on what he expects you to do in order to pass the class. Helpful to those that may need that extra push.
Very helpful instructor!!! Reminds the class everyday to email him if anyone has questions, who does that? The class itself is tough and he helps simplify the subject. YOU have to study for your grade, some people don't understand that and want to do nothing and get an A. He provides an outline to help simplfy the subject and keep you on track. A++
Professor Jalota was one of the most amazing professors I've ever had in my three years of college. He has inspired me to never give and always work hard for what I want in life. When I go onto bigger and brighter things, I will always remember his words of wisdom. Oh yeah "Simple Squamous Epithelium" and "Appreciate". (Winter Session 2015)
Love his use of real world situations in his lectures. Very forward, does not waste your time. A dependable Professor that encourages his students to use all of their educational resources, including himself. For all those truly interested in a career in science, I definitely recommend him.
he is very knowledgeable. With respect, give what you get. Get on his good side. Make sure your phones are on silent. Will take away points but will give extra credit depending on the class. Goes right off the book, don't need to guess what the lecture will be about. You earn what you get, make sure you study. Would highly recommend him.
Dr. Jalota is an awesome teacher! I enjoyed being in his class. He helps you a lot to make sure what you are learning is clear. Anatomy is not an easy class, but He makes learning the material a lot easier. Very passionate about the classes he teaches. I have taken him twice and will take another class of his in the fall. I highly recommend him!
I loved Dr. Jalota's class. I took him for Anatomy! I would recommend him for any science class you need to take that he teaches! He's super helpful and informs you of what to study for his exams! Awesome professor and I learned a lot!! Thank you Dr. Jalota
Professor Jalota is not mean BUT don't expect to pass if you do not put in the effort. Studying is a must! His tests are not hard if you put in the effort necessary. He constantly reminds you to study so you can't say he didn't warn you. As someone who loves science and understands it easily I found his lectures to be very clear. Don't skip class.
Biology 107 is not an easy class requires so much reading! HE DOES NOT TELL YOU WHAT IS GOING TO BE ON THE TEST ! Only tells you to study EVERYTHING and gives 5 chapters or more PER TEST. He lectures so much on how you have to study at home. Lectures more about studying than what the actually lecture is suppose to be about. NOT A FUN CLASS !
Dr. Jalota was AWESOME! He teaches you everything you need to know for anatomy and physiology. You have to work for your grade. Students wants to attend class once a month and expect an A. I worked hard for my A, keep doing what you do Dr. Jalota!!!!
really enjoyed his class. Most students in our class never tried, instructor would ask questions and only like 2 of us out of 30 would know the answers. People don't realize these science classes are hard core and require some effort. Will see you again dr j!
Dr. Jalota is great professor , his lectures are very clear to understand and covers everything that will be in the test. Be willing to study a lot and attend to class everyday In order to pass and do good in his quizzes. I would definitely take him again for another science class.
Dr. Jay is an awesome professor! Don't expect to pass if you don't attend his class. Yes! Human Biology is not easy, so make sure you put in your time and study! Don't expect him to tell you what's gonna be on the test, that's why it's called a test! U can't tell your patient "Wait! I don't know that disease" since I didn't study the whole chapter.
Not boring at all! you definitely need to give this class your all ! its not an easy course, but he is likely to answer all your question before and after class and always through email ! everything you learn in his class prepares you for the future science courses he was AWESOME and very approachable! Will take him again!!
Cool teacher and very helpful
TAKE NOTES!!!!!!!!!
Awesome, cool professor. This is a transfer level class. Don't expect to just sit there and get an A. I recommend you read the chapters and review his notes. You'll pass if you study. Point blank period. He's a nice professor. Makes you work for your grade.
Dr. Jalota is one of the best Biology teacher I've taken at VVC. The class is tough but you can earn a good grade if you put in the time and study. Be prepared for pop quizzes. He is very approachable and he is willing to cover tough concepts during class breaks. I definitely recommend Dr. Jalota for Physiology.
If you have a question don't be afraid ask, Dr. Jalota is very approachable. The textbook is a must for this class. His lectures come right from the text. I would recommend highlighting the text as he lectures. This way you're not frivolously writing for an hour and half. The class is not easy be ready to put in the work to earn a decent grade.
Jalota has been my professor for Human Biology and for Anatomy, he is a great professor and teaches you everything you need to know. He is clear on what he expects and if you study and put work into his class you'll receive a good grade. wouldn't recommend anyone but him. if you have any questions or are confuse he will answers all your questions
Best professor I have ever had. He prepares you for anatomy. He lectures out of the book so I recommend you buy it and highlight what he reads, so you're not writing for over an hour. I'm going to take him for anatomy and physiology.
He's super straight forward, covers everything you need to know, and is really engaged in his teaching. If you are really interested in anatomy, take Jalota. He will teach you everything you need to know, but to get results, you have to make an effort. This class isn't easy. You have to have the time and the interest to pass. Studying is a must.
Excellent teacher!
If you care at all about your future career, take any of Jalotta's classes. His instructing style so prepares you for everything you will be tested on in class and also, he emphasizes material that may be found on TEAS/Nclex exams. As an MD, he constantly relates the material to real life medical situations. I'm confident in all I learned. Genuine.
Jalota was an amazing professor that cares about the course and the student. There is a lot of information but it is explained well. Tests are hard, but the expectations are clear and he will help and clarify whenever asked. I look forward to his classes in the future!!
The guy is awesome. The classes are tough but he is clear on what you need to know and explains exactly how to pass the class. Whether or not you take the advise is your choice and people certainly fail. But as long as you put in the work he's super cool
Dr. Jalota is a really great professor. May seem tough in the beginning, but he definitely sets you up for success. He provides everything needed but it's up to you to put in the work . Very serious, but is known to crack a joke or two here n there.
Dr. Jalota is an amazing Teacher and I am so glad I decided to take him for anatomy. I have never had a teacher pushed me so hard and make me earn my A. He is very supportive and assessable to his students. He comes off harsh but it is only because he only wants students that are going to work for it.
Best professor in the science department. If you are a Nursing major you will want to take Biology 107, Anatomy and Physiology with him. if you listen to him, take notes, and study you'll have no problem passing his class. if your lazy and don't want to study then you won't pass. You will learn so much from him, he is amazing.
The MOST AMAZING professor EVER!! EXTREMELY Knowledgeable, well planned/prepared lectures and awesome-easy-to-digest delivery, accessible AND accommodating. He gives 110% to teaching. But you will get what you EARN! Big on class participation (ASK AND ANSWER QUESTIONS!!). Definitely setting the new standard for science courses. No tricks/games
When he lectures he over loads you with words and facts that you don't need to know for this specific class. For ex: blah blah you need to know this for anatomy but not this class. His exams are tough, especially when you don't study (of course). I've studied for all his exams and still got a D+ on them. You need to make ALOT of time for this class
Teacher was very good. I started the semester by not doing so good on exams and didn't know how to study. Dr. J helped me during his office hours and the one on one helped, I am close to getting an A in the class. The class and material are tough a helpful instructor makes a big difference. Thanks for really teaching me human biology
Tough class, a lot of material, you have to study, and cool teacher
One of the best professors I've had at this college. I came into this with not knowing how to study. I talk to Dr. Jalota on his office hours and my grade took off since then. I am in progress to getting an A. Put it the study time and this class is easy, also great if you're going into the medical field. He has so much knowledge and guidance.
Awesome teacher, if you want to learn take Dr. Jalota. I've been going to VVC for over 2 years and Dr. Jalota is by far the best teacher I've had. Highly recommend this class for anyone going into the medical field.
Dr. Jalota is by far one of the best teachers at VVC. As many times as he will say it through out the semester, you really do get out what you put into the class. He is more than willing to help you when you are lost and takes the time to make sure you understand. Pay attention and make the textbook your best friend and you will be fine.
Dr. Jalota is by far the best professor. I plan on taking the other classes that he teaches. You do have to work for your grade and stay on top of lecture and participate when he asks questions. If you go to him and ask questions, he has no problem with helping you. I highly recommend taking his class. You learn so much from him.
If your major and your future career don't depend on you knowing everything there is to know about Biology, I wouldn't recommend taking this class. If you want to put effort and time into this class and you want to learn it all, it's a perfect choice. I'm grateful I took it.
I took 107, 211, and 231 with Dr. Jalota and learned a lot. I think his guidance helped me to score an 88 on teas test. Killed my sciences!!
Dr. Jalota is a great professor. I thoroughly enjoyed all of his classes (human bio, anat, & physio). He gives you all the information you need but you definitely need to put in the study time to do well in this class. I appreciate his firmness, not allowing distractions during class time. He is extremely knowledgeable & you will learn a lot.
Dr Jalota is an excellent professor. He is passionate about making future competent nurses. If you are serious about a career in the healthcare field then taking his classes is a must. You definetly have to put in 110% and he does the same! I am excited and grateful to be able to take more of his classes in the future!
Very easy to understand and makes sure you get the material.
Dr. Jalota, is one of the most caring/hardest teachers I have ever had. Yes, he is hard but he is there to give you a helping hand when and if you ask for help. He will push you to your max. Expect to study hours and hours during the week and study all weekend. He will make you be the best that you can be, plus more.
Take Him!!! HARD !!! But it is what we need. He prepares us for success !!!
Dr J is not just an amazing instructor, but a top notch human being. He doesn't just tech you the bare minimum of the class, he goes above and beyond to prepare you for your future. He talks to you and answers all questions. He really does care.
Very easy and straight to the point instructor. His lecture exams test what he lectures on. Lab practicals are jokingly easy. He prepares you for the future, I was told to take his classes from a sibling who took him. This class in general is a tough class and requires a lot from you in class and at home. Get ready to study if you want to learn.
Dr. Jalota is amazing professor! This class is tough so it is not an easy A; however he lets you know that you need to put in the time and effort to excel. His grading criteria is very clear and he lets you know exactly what is required to earn an A in the class. He really pushes you to work for your grade and because of it you learn so much!
Human Physiology was a breeze with the amount of tools that Dr, Jalota gives you to succeed with an A. He is a competent instructure and provides a path of excellence to all of his students. There is no reason why a student shoul not pass his class if they put in the time studying. He prepares you for the next step in your education. I highly rec!
Had Jalota for ALL sciences. Have to study if you want to pass. Never saw anything on any exam that he didnt mention, talk about and or go over. You can confirm that when you review your exam. Really fair teacher, if you do your half. You have to study everyday for classes like these. Beware if you cant/dont like to study. Dont change anything!
Dr. Jalota lectures are very detailed and he gives great examples from his past experiences in the medical field. Please please study! I can not stress enough that study will make things easy! Class is not easy but he will give you all what you need to know for the exams. He wants his students to pass. Pay much attention! Overall great teacher
I had Dr. J for all three sciences and hes given me everything I need and more to be successful in the medical field. His exams are fair and hell help you if you ask. He is honestly the most dedicated and passionate professor Ive ever had. However, if youre not ready to work hard, choose a different prof and maybe choose a different major too
Great professor, if you are willing too study hard and ask for help this is your choice. Always willing to he l.p. p people that try.
Amazing professor!!! Cares a lot! Super helpful. It's a tough class, you have to show up and study, study, study but Dr. Jalota makes it a lot less painful. He made me wish I had taken all of his classes. I learned soo much from him.
Hard class, but fair on grading
I took Dr Jolata for ALL my sciences! He pushed me and made me work for my grade. I learned new ways to study but his teaching techniques help prepare you for the nursing program. He loves what he does and cares about his students. He wants to see you succeed and is there to help you do it. He is very clear in his lectures. He is my mentor!!!
A one of a kind professor who cares if your serious and presents challenging material. Dr. Jalota will not let you down if your a serious student.
Amazing professor! I would take another course with this professor
Jalota knew his stuff but he is very insulting. One person fails a quiz and he'll complain about it all throughout lecture. He is highly intelligent and respected but his rude comment are incredibly uncalled for. Read the book, take lecture notes, work hard and youll be fine. Everyone says he nice in physio but im not taking the chance
Great teacher! Will be taking for physiology too. My siblings had him and are successful nurses and have advised me also.
Ive had the honor of having Dr Jalota for Anatomy and Physio. I feel like when I first took his class for anatomy he saved my future for nursing. His class made me take school seriously and taught me to learn how to study. Thanks to him I slayed both my bio classes. If you are serious about your health career take him and you will not regret it !
Dr. Jalota is a great instructor that shares his knowledge and experiences with students to help them better understand the material being taught. He also goes above and beyond what other instructors do to assure their students learning outcome. I took Anatomy with Dr. Jalota and am now enrolled in his Physiology and Gross Anatomy courses.
Dr. Jalota is an amazing professor. His lectures are very clear and he gives you everything you need to know for the test. The rest is up to you to put in your half and study which is necessary in bio classes. On top of everything he is really nice and does everything to ensure that you understand the material to excel in the class!
Dr. Jalota is the best professor at VVC. His classes are challenging but if your going into nursing or anything in the medical field you need to take Jalota. You need to know the information and really cares about his students. He's a passionate professor and I would take him for every course if he taught it all.
I had the opp to take anat and phys, wish I could have taken 107 too. Not an easy A, you have to earn it, but you leave really understanding the material. Always there to help, answer questions, gives you good examples, and many extra credit opportunities. In phys he gave us the possible essays before and you have to be able to answer multp choice.
Great Professor! though the subject seemed tough, this professor assures you know the material and earn your grade!
Dr. Jalota is a great professor! I would definitely take another course with him if I had to!
350 characters isn't enough to say how much I recommend Doctor Jalota. Take him for ANY class you can, ESPECIALLY if entering medicine. He makes the material exciting, and will equip you with EVERYTHING you need to succeed. It's this simple: give 110%, get 110%. He has enthusiasm, extensive knowledge, and true commitment to his students.
A very strict instructor, BUT, he only wants the best for his student. I just started nursing school, his curriculum really sets you up for success in nursing school. If you cant handle his class, think about changing your major from nursing. I feel he prepared me the most for my education goals. Great instructor in my book, hard, but truly great.
Over the Fall term I completed all my nursing prereqs & can't say enough how fortunate I am to have taken 107 with this amazing professor. He provides student with all the material necessary to build a solid foundation for RN sci. courses that follow, as a result I was able to understand concepts from 211 & 231 with greater ease and confidence.
Dr Jalota is an incredible professor. He lectures with enthusiasm and keeps students engaged. This was vital to me because 211 material is complex. During breaks & office hours, he helped tremendously by bridging the gap for concept I hadn't fully grasped. Not only did he answer my question (MANY) but he was very patient and alway encouraging.
Dr Jalota is one of the best professors I've had a VVC. Bio 231 was the 3rd course I took with him & one of the many reasons I did so is becasue his test questions come strait from lectures . I never felt surprised or unprepared during tests as I strictly studied only content covered in lectures and averaged A's on all my exams for all 3 courses.
Dr. Jalota provides detailed lectures and labs on the material he will be testing on. His directions for assignments are clear and he will explain why the test answers were the correct ones if you ask about it. For these classes you are going to have to study, but it is manageable.
6 Stars out of 5! Very helpful, pushes you to learn and better yourself. My mentor!
I really enjoyed Jalotas classes as did my mom. He sets you up to be successful in life.
I had the privilege to be in his summer class and he was a caring and inspiring professor. You have to work for your grade. Not an easy class.
Dr. Jalota is tough, but you definitely learn a lot. He genuinely wants you to learn the material and only requires you to study. If you don't know how to study, this class will definitely teach you how to study effectively. There are 6 exams, 6 lab practicals, one muscle build, and quizzes everyday before class. Lastly, try to be there on time.
He is a hard teacher who expects you to know a lot. His test are hard. He does have an amazing website that helps a lot.
I thoroughly enjoyed Jalotas classes. Was told to take him by my friends who are in the medical field now. He has a website, gives you for free note-takers, lab manuals and anything else you need to be successful. You have to study and put in effort, lazy people dont not apply.
Really enjoyed Dr Jalotas classes
I wish I would have taken Dr. Jalota for all of my sciences. He is an amazing professor. He really tried to make it easier on you. If you are late, or like to leave early don't take his class. Attendance in mandatory. A little hint: participate in lecture and he won't give quizzes. If you don't participate he makes it harder.
Best profesor at VVC, I took him for anatomy and physiology. Class is tough but he gives you all the proper resources to get an A as long as you study.
Dr. Jalota is easily the most caring professor you will ever take. He is not what so ever an easy A.. he makes you work for it but I have never learned more from a teacher. Most importantly he cares, he seems tough and rough around the edges but deep down he's a teddy bear, he cares so much about his students PLEASE TAKE HIM!!
Tough class that requires a tough teacher. That being said, you get back what you put into the class. My advice: ask questions and interact during class, it'll pay off in the end! Read the book and power points, fill out the note takers, and study, study, study! Also record the lectures and listen to them again, it helps.
I took Dr. J for Anatomy (6 weeks) and Physio. He's a great lecturer and loves class participation. His classes are difficult, but if you study even a little everyday, then it will be easier to handle the workload. Come to class prepared for that day's lecture and answer his questions, he expects a lot from his students!
Dr. Jalota is an awesome professor. He really wants you to understand the material your given and has no problem helping if you need guidance. Make sure you study the lecture for the up coming class & Participate in questions he asks. Give his class your all & he will return the favor.
-6 week course -no homework -your grade is your quizs and test and if you participate in class he'll bump up your grade Has a website where his powerpoints are located just search up Drjalota Really wants people to succeed
It is with honors that I am able to write about Professor Jalota. He is a kind, caring man that wants the best for his students. I took him over the summer and he provided all the material I needed to succeed. Anatomy is A difficult subject because the body is complex, but come prepared to work and youll leave the class empowered and equipped.
Dr. Jalota is a great teacher. He takes the subject seriously teaches his students to be the best medical professionals possible. Dont take his class expecting it to be an easy grade (if your field is not potentially medical, I would take someone else), participate, ask questions and know he is very fair.
Overall an amazing professor and I would take his class again. He brings a very positive environment to his class and promotes participation. He will help you learn if there are any difficulties.
One of the best professors, I have ever taken. Do the work and you earn your grade. Do not mess around in his class, give him the respect he deserves and you will not have a problem.
Dr. Jalota is extremely caring. If u show up unwilling to participate and interact, he will notice; do not think he will go the extra mile for u when your grade starts to slip. If you show that you are there to learn and engage, he will return the favor by rewarding extra credit. He does not F around, and neither should you if ur going for medical.
Great professor. To ace these classes expect to study 3-4 hr/day. Expect quizes on info covered the previous lecture. Exams require critical thinking. Overall he's the best human bio professor on campus. If you want to be the best, you go through him. Possible to earn recommendation letter. Bio107: A. 211:A. 231: TBD, A/B. GPA 4.0
Dr. Jalota is amazing and truly cares about his students. You have to put a lot of time and effort into his class because he's not an easy A, however, he's highly respected and is willing to work with you if you need help. Lecture exams are way more difficult than lab exams, so study! Also, he does give extra credit if you participate. Take him!!
If you want to get the best learning experience, take Jalota! Everyone says he is too hard, mean or scary. He is just smart and knows how to teach. He gives you all of the necessary tools, and its up to you to use them correctly. Study hard and you will get the grade you deserve! By far the best teacher at VVC!
Though we follow slides in class, all the extra information he adds helps the lectures sink in. They are well made and contain almost everything you need to know for the exams (still need to read the book too). If you have questions in class you are free to ask them and being prepared enough answer his questions shows you are set for the exam.
Dr. Jalota is an awesome teacher. If you do your work he really helps you out and really wants you to succeed. You will have to study and its definitely not an easy A but he makes sure you get good study habits. He may seem intimidating at first but he is not at all! He's super kind and respectful so don't be afraid to ask questions.
A really great instructor who actually cares about making an impact on the world through his teaching. He definitely doesnt hold your hand through the course or care about making things easier, but if youre really looking to excel and thrive in the field then his approach is the way to go.
I highly recommend anyone who is serious about their education take Dr. Jalota's classes. His passion and knowledge for the subject matter is evident in all his lectures and tests. He prepares his students to be ahead for physio.
I took Dr. Jalota for anatomy (in 6 weeks) and physiology (16 weeks). He is tough but also caring. If you show your willing to give the class your all, he will give you his all in return. He cares very much to see you succeed. Read the material, powerpoints are very helpful, and the lab manuals were a life saver. Be sure to participate!
I recommend Dr. Jalota to anyone who wants to seriously learn. He can seem tough but he actually cares about your education. He is willing to give you all the information you need to succeed.
I took Dr. Jalota for Anatomy and Physiology. He is truly an amazing teacher. If youre looking for an easy pass, dont waste his time but if youre looking to actually learn and understand the material then hes you guy. Even when we had to move physio online for Covid, he was quick to post lectures and answer any questions. Awesome teacher
Stick to the script on the syllabus and dedicate your time studying to make sure you don't falter. Read the book thoroughly with understanding and you'll be prepared for his exams, quizzes, labs and class participation. Dr. Jalota cares about his students', and if everyone is on pace with him he'll help out when students need it. Study study study!
Dr. Jalota's physiology class is tough but so so educational. He helps you learn and explain to others the science behind everything going on in the human body. If you work or plan to work in the medical field I'd highly recommend you take him. He is tough!!
I was lucky enough to get into Dr. Js classes. I give him 11/10.
I took Jalota's Anatomy and physiology class. His teaching is tough but effective. If you are planning to pursue a career in the medical field I highly recommend taking Jalota. This is a professor who has the highest expectations for his students. He does not tolerate laziness. You really have to put in the work to be successful in his classes.
I took both Anatomy and Physio with Dr. Jalota. He has an amazing website that is well organized and easy to use. Everything you need is on there as well as note-takers. If you are looking into going into the medical field, I definitely recommend him as he is extremely detailed. Study the provided slides and get started early on the presentation!
I truly believe these awesome reviews are fake. Worst Professor. He degrades his students and thinks hes a God. Stay away. Nothing but verbal abuse.
Took Jalota in spring 2020 for bio 107 he was very good in the class and moved us online so well. He already had a website he added video lectures to it. Took him completely online for summer 211, he rocked! Fall 2020 signed up for his 231 fully online. I was always able to do office hours online and always ask questions. Fast responder to ?s
Jalota is a great professor who cares about his students. Like most classes, if you put in the effort to study and participate you will do just fine. Online has been quite a change, but Jalota did a great job adjusting. Labs will be done virtually and lectures are posted on YouTube. Highly recommend taking Jalota if you are a diligent student.
I disagree with some here Jalota is very down to earth and easy to talk to and gives you everything you need from videos to chapter reviews/ note takers and pictures. I watched his videos for bio 107 and I wasnt in his class. Watching his videos online made me sign up for his other classes. Very straight forward pleasure to email. Drjalota dot com
I took my first Bio class (107) with Dr. Jalota. I took his class based on the rating here, and I am glad that I did. He is not mean/rude. I never had any issues with him. As a student, I made sure I had my textbook, I read ahead, reviewed with friends, and always asked questions when needed clarification. He is approachable and funny.
Because of my great experience with Bio107 with Dr. Jalota, I took his Anatomy class too. This time we had the pandemic, and Dr. Jalota was quick enough to adapt to the online class. He is very understanding, and he is always available to answer any questions that I had. The youtube videos are great, as well as his website (drjalota). Thanks, Doc!
Physio is not an easy class, but Dr. Jalota is a kind-hearted professor who gave us all enough time to do and finish our tasks. He made sure that everything is organized - canvas, his website (drjalota), and videos. To succeed in his class, you have to be ready to learn, responsible, and respectful. I highly recommend Dr. Jalota. Thank you, Doc!
Love Jalotas anatomy. He was always there weekday or weekend, morning or night. Cant wait for physio. His website has everything you need. People dont understand this is a college and a college class. Even people in my online study group didnt study much and still passed. You need this stuff for your career and boards.
Professor Jalota prepares you for excellence. I took him after my cousin whos a PA suggested him. He goes above and beyond for his students and was always there any time I needed a question answered. Hes convinced me to continue with my education and strive for more. 5 stars!
This professor has an amazing website with generous resources. I specifically took his course because of all of the good things I had heard about him. However, I don't know if it's Covid, but there were a number of insensitive emails sent to the class throughout the semester that created a rather counterproductive environment. You're on your own.
Thoroughly enjoyed Jalotas anatomy class. Cant get into his physio its so full maybe next semester. Enjoyed his website, lectures and prompt responses. I wish he would use lock down browser on all his quizzes and exams.
He started our class with a zoom meeting the first day and laid down all the expectations. Very easy going, accessible lectures and teacher. Gave us the whole week and extra time to do our assignments and people were still complaining for more time and open books. He discourages cheating and over all very fair teacher. Had covid and worked with me
Was able to do everything on my own time. Professor was very cool helpful. I give him 10/10.
Dr. Jalota was such a helpful instructor. I really enjoyed all of his classes. He pushes you to be your best and is very dedicated to his students. During my classes he always allowed his former students to come in and help us out and allowed me and others the same opportunity. You have to study; hesnot a free A. He promotes classroom participation
Was a very good teacher. Took 6 weeks section. Everything is simple and straight forward. Cool website and easy to use. Lab simulations were fun and gives multiple chances. Signed up for his anatomy and cant wait for his physio too. Always very helpful and nice. I give him 5 stars!
Really enjoyed Dr Js Anatomy and cant wait for physio. He makes you think and understand anatomy not memorize.
I think this professor is 110% fair. Easy to follow and keep up with. Has a very good website, always helpful and always very prompt responses.
Professor Jalota taught me so much!! I cant begin to thank him for everything hes done. He goes above and beyond for his students. He always encouraged us to study and work hard and put in 110% effort. Such a wonderful human.
Took Anatomy and Physio with Dr. Jalota. I not only learned the material introduced in class, but better study habits. Its nice to take a class from a professor who is passionate about what they teach. Highly recommend!!
Jalota hands down is the Professor that has all my respect. I wouldn't be where I am without him. It was not easy I struggled and failed but he showed me what it really means to "never give up, no matter how hard it is." He will help and guide you towards your goals. Don' be shy ask questions, answer his questions even if it's wrong he wants effort
Dr. Jalota is the best professor that I have been able to learn under. If you are serious about school and are very interested in pursuing a career in the medical field this is the class that you want to take. His experience in the medical field brings a big advantage to the class and will prepare you for the future. If you put in work youll pass.
Hes cool, hes funny, hes firm, hes understanding but most of all, he is highly intelligent in an extremely organized way. What you learn from his class will have you knowing the human body the way it is meant to be known, if to be known at all, meaning, respectfully.
Took professor Jalota for anatomy and physiology. Awesome professor! Knows his stuff. Gives you everything you need for the class. Class is set up smooth and efficiently. He puts time and effort into his class. Be respectful and do the same! I made sure I was accepted into his class because I had an awesome experience. Do your assignments on timeTP
If your planning on taking anatomy and physio at VVC I 1000% recommended Doctor Jalota! He knows his stuff! Hes such a knowledgeable doctor who wants all his students to pass. He genuinely cares about his students and loves what he does. Remember biology is not an easy subject but he gives you all the tools you to succeed.
Dr. Jalota is a fantastic teacher! If you are going into the medical field, this is the professor you want. I took 107 with another instructor and I was completely disappointed. However, after taking anatomy and physio with Dr. Jalota I felt way more prepared. He even wrote me a letter of recommendation. I highly recommend taking his classes.
Dr. Jalota is an amazing professor, challenging, but I guarantee you will learn. I took his 6 week physio class and passed. His teaching style and lectures are great if I can go back and retake all my science classes I would retake them with him because I would have learned a lot more. Be organized, study, take good notes, and be on time.
Honestly Dr. Jalota is the best. He give great lectures which are pre-recorded . His web page was so helpful and has everything you need in one place. He is a kind and caring Professor but please be prepared to study if you want a good grade. He makes you work for your A because he wants to ensure that you are well prepared for the future.
Dr. Jalota is AMAZING I wish I would've taken him for anatomy. His website is extremely helpful and he is willing to help his students as much as he could. He is easy to talk to and he genuinely cares for his students! If you have the opportunity to take any of his classes TAKE THEM!
Find another professor for an easy A. But, if you want someone who is passionate about teaching and guiding future healthcare professionals take Dr. Jalota! I need someone who holds me accountable for my work and for it to be critiqued, and Dr. Jalota makes me want to come to class and learn more. Dont waste his time and he wont waste yours!!!!!!
Hands down one of my favorite Professors thus far. The Professor I had for Anatomy did us no justice and everything we learned was self-taught. Professor Jalota was the opposite. He gives you all the tools you need to succeed. There is no way- if you can follow directions, you won't pass this class. I took it over the summer and it was awesome
Jalota puts in all his effort for his students. I enjoyed his lectures in bio 107 and stayed for hai other two classes. He has a very easy to use website hes put together and it has everything you need for an A. Like he says all you have to do is just do it. Thanks for setting me and my classmates up for success.
Professor Jalota is an AMAZING professor! He is truly teaching to help his students, and prepare them for the medical field as well as real life. Pay attention, read and you will absolutely succeed in this class. Not an extremely difficult class, but with any Bio class, there is work that will need to be put in!
This guy truly cares for the success of his students. He gives you all the tools needed to pass with an A. His lectures were amazing and no surprises on the exams. Anyone who fails his class just didn't put in the effort. He prepares you for nursing school! Don't waste your time with anyone else. Dude knows his stuff and is easy to talk to.
Unclear on testing info, even though he has lecture note takers to use. Lecture test are very difficult & a fare amount of the material that is on the test is barely touched on in the lectures or text. Lab test are fair. He gives extra info that is not needed & just leads to confusion on what you actually need to know for class. Can be petty
Took this class in fall 2021, and I gotta say it has been my hardest and favorite class. Dr. Jalota's class was not an easy class but I was actually able to learn rather than just "pass the class." He is very helpful in explaining and understanding anatomy in his lectures, rather than just "memorizing." I was able to learn my study habits as well!
I really enjoyed Dr. Jalotas class. He gives you everything you need to be successful. He gives out plenty of extra credit. This is a important class and requires a great deal of studying and preparation. We had students in our class who didnt want to work and didnt know where the LUNGS were at the end of the semester. I give him 5 stars!
Dr. Jalota was an amazing professor who always was so dedicated to helping his students. He is tough and can lecture students on lack of effort but he does it because he cares. He answers any question and may seem intimidating at first, but by the end of the semester he forms great relationships with those who put in effort. If you try, youll pass
I really loved this class. He makes it easy to learn the material, is very helpful (answering questions, giving examples, giving extra credit) and wants to see you succeed. All you have to do is study.
I give Jalota 100%. These are class that you must study in everyday to be successful. Use his study guides, read the chapter from the book, do your labs and participate when he asks questions. He prepares you very well for your future but ultimately its in your hands. In 107 he prepared us for 211 and in 211 he prepared us for 231. Two thumbs up!
Dr. Jalota is a good professor because all he wants is to see you succeed. He is very helpful and very good at explaining for you to understand. Don't be afraid to ask him any questions. He taught me how to learn Anatomy by understanding and memorizing. Take his class if you want to put your step in the medical field.
favorite professor EVER! jalota is amazing and so is his class. if you plan on becoming a medical professional and really want to learn, this is the class for you. this class is not easy and your grade will not be given to you, you must want it and put in EFFORT. i would take this class over and over again. THANK YOU JALOTA!!!
Dr. Jalotas depth of knowledge is unmatchable. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of his class! I enjoyed the material and constantly sought help from him. Due to his guidance, I was accepted to medical school. I could not recommend him and his class any highly. If you want to learn at a high level & prepare for your future-Dr. Jalota is your man!
I thoroughly enjoyed Jalotas class and cant wait for the next one. He taught me how to study, understand and learn. He taught me how to read and comprehend what Im reading. His exam questions come from the publishers of the book, he has no surprises. You have to read the book and do his lectures. The material is not easy and he simplifies it.
This is not a class for you if you don't want to put in effort. Dr. Jalota is an amazing professor! He might seem intimidating at first and will lecture the class but that is because he truly cares and wants you to do good. If you really wanna be in the medical field and learn A LOT, he's the prof for you.
Dr. Jalota is my favorite professor. He is one teacher that is truly knowledgeable and cares about his students future. He is lenient with his students that try their best and extra credit is available. The more you participate the more extra credit you can earn. I can't say anything bad about him, I took him for both physiology and anatomy.
Get ready to learn! Only take Jalota if you’re serious about studying and learning. He’s NOT an easy A and you have to study everyday to be successful. This subject is an important prerequisite and demands your attention. He has an awesome website with a lot of resources he’s made. Very serious and helpful instructor.
professor Jalota was a fun teacher to have get ready to read and study. loved his class!
Really enjoyed his classes. You have to study and participate. These subjects is for future medical professionals.
Lectures are his way of teaching. If you take him for hybrid you'll be teaching yourself. I'll say that he's not as great as everyone on here states. Miss a class and he'll drop you. No homework so tests and quiz grades make up the final grade. A lot of late-night studying and the test isn't like the notes. My advice...take another teacher.
Dr. Jalota is the best! He has everything; materials-videos. Approachable, supportive, and funny. He made the class enjoyable. It's not an easy class but if you put in the work and effort you will succeed. I am currently in a Nursing Program and the lessons from his class are helping me with my course right now. Thank you so much, Doc!
If you're considering a class with him, be prepared to put in the effort. Anatomy is not an easy subject to cover, but Jalota gives you all the materials you need to succeed on his website. Quizzes are given every class session, so come prepared to get the easy 10 points! If you want to retain medical knowledge, definitely take his class.
First I would like to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Jalota. He's phenomenal! Dr. Jalota is very knowledgeable in the subject, helpful, patient and understanding. He's an actual MD and articulates lectures in layman's terms! I highly recommend taking him for your biology classes. His videos/note taker are awesome too!
Mr. Jalota does not help you remember his content. There's no," Here's an easy way to remember," or," think of it like this." He told us how difficult and demanding the class is instead of helping us understand the topic at hand. He told stories about students who didn't learn and made sure to shift the blame from himself.
Jalota was a very good teacher and has thoroughly prepared us for the medical field. These are 5 unit classes which require a great deal of studying and dedication. He gives a ton of extra credit. You have to study.
Tests daily. Study study study. You will need it. You are asked to buy a current book however, all lectures are online, but does not grade on what you watched the night before it is something new that has yet to be studied yet. Be careful.
Dr. Jalota is a great professor and is always there to lend a helping hand if you do not understand the material. Make sure you study, his class is hard but will prepare you for your upcoming TEAS Test. He cares about his students and wants them to all succeed. All of his lectures are online on his website and are so helpful with his note taker
Dr jalota is a wonderful teacher, watch all lectures because your exam is about the lecture. For lab prepare yourself to memorize all photos that he gives you for exam also. Pop quizzes everyday 10 questions. We also looked at human cadaver for the first time so excited if you're not up for the challenge don't take his class. Jalota awesome, caring.
Dr.Jalota is the best professor & definitely one of my favorites. He is the type of teacher to want the best for his students & is willing to help you. Attendance is MANDATORY! Always study especially for the lecture exams, your hard work will pay off, as along has you are on top of your work & labs you'll be able to pass the class.
This is the hardest class I have ever taken, but also my favorite! I studied every single day for almost four months for this class and it paid off! All of the study materials are on his website images (lab exams), lab handouts (mini quizzes), and lecture videos (exams). I have taken 18 unit semesters and this class was harder, but it was worth it!
I have taken Professor Jalota for Anatomy; I must say he is a terrible teacher and has no problem talking down to his students. I highly recommend not taking him. I really do not understand how he has high ratings, as majority of my classmates shared the same opinion as me. Take another teacher!
Prof. Jalota was very helpful and always engaging. Always answered any questions and helped clear up ideas. I think he was very good. His website has everything laid out and it was easy to navigate. He provides everything for lecture and lab. I will see you in physiology!
I want to start off by saying, I really enjoyed his online class. I feel like I learned a lot by watching his youtube. Dr. Jalota was very informative, diligent and easy to communicate with. He does respond back as soon as you message him and very understanding. Dr. Jalota has lots of material online through his website which is very helpful.
I took Anatomy w/ Dr. Jalota and the course was tough but he gives you everything you need to pass quizzes and exams. Ask questions and study. Do your part and he will help make sure that you are successful in his class. I took pathophysiology with Dr. Jalota also because I enjoyed his teaching style and I knew I would learn.
To this day I am so thankful to have had Dr. Jalota as a professor. Yes the class was hard but he gives you everything you need to pass. You just gotta work at it. Read the material before class and participate.
Professor has his information via internet and then was upset that not everyone passed his class. He was grading on personal book not what should have been the required book reading. Daily quizzes and weekly tests given. Be careful as his grading is tuff and the reading was not book reading it was watching 3-4 hours of him "teaching the material"
Really enjoyed his teaching and engagement. We finished summer online and it was very educational. Has the class set up on canvas and uses his website to make everything easy. Very easy and cool teacher in my opinion.
This is not an easy class as it is 5 units. He makes every effort to help his students succeed. He was always there to help clear up anything we needed. His classes are set up in such an easy and doable manner. He volunteers as the advisor for the prehealth scholars club. He allows his former students to come help in his labs as lab assistants. 5/5
His class is awesome! But also...very hard. He is a very passionate professor who is always willing to help, all of his material is on his website. You practically have to study every day, PARTICIPATION IS IMPORTANT! The class attitude will affect his attitude so..be nice and show you care. Can be tough at times but he does it to prepare you.
The amount of knowledge I gained from Dr. jalota was huge. I was able to use the knowledge in the hospital while talking to the nurses and doctors. Thank you for educating us!
Learned so much in bio 107 and am now applying it in his anatomy.
If you study, you will do well in Dr. Jalota's class. He explains everything in a very detailed manner. His lectures are informative and easy to understand. I learned a lot during my time in his class and I still refer back to notes and his lectures. He is a great resource and professor to know.
I got into the nursing program. The body is not easy to understand. He taught me how to study in bio 107 and it helped me in all of my classes. He has a very good website to help you come prepared to class to answer his questions and understand the material even better. I took all my sciences with him.
Dr. Jalota is an outstanding professor with a passion for the subject and an engaging teaching style that makes the material easy to understand. He is approachable and always willing to help. His well-organized lectures and clear examples make complex concepts easy to grasp. Highly recommend taking his class! By far the best BIO Professor at VVC!
Dr. Jalota is truly one of the best professors. While tough, his radiating care for his students is evident. His lectures are on point and very informational. He prepares you well for his exams as long as you put the work into studying. He provides his students with the necessary materials to be successful in his course. Highly recommend!
Dr. Jalota really pushed me and motivated me to do my best. I took anatomy and physio with Dr Jalota and I rocked my teas test and got into loma linda. The body is not easy, but he really simplifies everything. You have to put in effort and study.
Dr. Jalota is so easy going and nice. He gives you everything you need to be successful in his course. This is a 5 credit class and you have to put in work. He gives us the whole week to do our work, very flexible. Your exams are all online from your home without cameras watching or having you go to campus to take tests.
This has been a fast paced semester and Dr Jalota has given us everything to pass the class and succeed. He gives us multiple chances on our lab exams and gives us until Sunday night to complete the weeks assignments. I personally enjoyed him and his style of teaching.
The structure of his class doesn't fit into the summer (6-week) schedule. The labs don't match what's in the book, everything is timed, and you get 1 attempt. The overall nature of the class does not allow for retention of the material. During finals week there's an exam, lab practical, 3 quizzes, 1 discussion, FINAL lab practical, and FINAL exam.
I learned a lot about the body. 5 credit class and requires you to study. 6 weeks was fast. Did 6 exams (lecture and lab), quiz for each chapter (20- I liked so I can check myself) and 5 discussions. He gave us 2 chances at every lab exam. Didnt use respondus lockdown browser. Class ends today we have until Saturday night to complete everything.5/5
He gave us all week to complete assignments. We had 6 weeks and 6 exams, 20 quizzes and 5 discussions. Exams were very easy and straight from his lectures and lab. His lab exams were pictures straight from his lecture slides and or lab slides. He makes it very easy for an A, but you have to study and put in work.
Dr. Jalota has completely changed the way I study and was the extra push for me to pursue Nursing! I have never learned, and more importantly retained, all lecture information similar to his anatomy and physiology class. If you really want to learn and are serious about your education, Jalota is the best option for you and your career hands down.
Professor Jalota's class is a challenge, but he provides the tools to succeed. The lectures are engaging, and using unstuckstudy ai along with the free textbook is key. Put in the work, and you'll learn a ton.
Dr. Jalota is an exceptional instructor who prepares students for healthcare success with a comprehensive website of relevant materials. His inspiring teaching requires diligent study to meet course challenges. Dr. Jalota exceeds minimum course requirements, offering a competitive edge; be prepared to invest effort for substantial rewards.
If you're looking for a challenge but want to feel accomplished, take a class with Dr. J! Aside from being a tough class already, being taught by a Doctor is an absolute great experience. Dr. J pushes you to learn and he provides the best methods of learning and experiences students will never forget. This class will push you towards your success!
I enjoyed Dr. Jalota class. It's not easy and you have to study.
I had Dr. Jalota for Bio 107 and Human Anatomy, absolutely one of my favorite professors. The classes are difficult in general but he is always there if you need help or have any questions. He also makes you want to do better for yourself which is hard to hear sometimes but in a good way.
I had Dr. Jalota for Bio 107 and Human Anatomy. Absolutely one of my favorite teachers!! The classes are hard in general but he's always willing to answer any questions and help. Also makes you want to do better for yourself, which is tough to hear sometimes but in the best way!
He gets a 10/10 from me. I really enjoyed his class. Anatomy is not an easy subject but, he helps to simplify it. Get ready to study!
Dr. Jalota gave us everything we needed to be successful. You have to study! This is a class that helps build your foundation for the science classes.
Dr. Jalota is a really great professor and is very supportive of his students. His lectures are thorough and all material can be accessed through his website which is very helpful. I recommend watching all his videos on your own time as well as printing the labs and taking notes on them before each class which helps a lot.
Dr. Jalota's class was a lot of fun. You learn so much from him. He gives you lectures, study guides, lab information all before class. You should have it filled out before and use his class time to listen to him and answer his questions. I watched his videos and read the chapters from the book, his lectures are right from there. You have to study.
You'll get out of this class what you put into it. Work hard and you'll be fine.
I did well in the class. There is tons of notes that were only able to be done in 4 days. I failed one test 0/5 and it dropped my grade to an F. I emailed the professor to somehow make up for it whether doing something for extra credit or retaking the test and never received a response. Not even a simple no.
5/5 this was a very educational class and he made it fun.
Dr. Jalota is fantastic! I took his class in the Fall of 2024, and I can't emphasize enough the importance of participation. Don't be afraid to talk. Make sure to watch the lecture videos before class. He talks quickly, but if you stay engaged, you'll do just fine. I definitely recommend taking him for Anatomy, Microbiology, and Physiology.
The online format needs a lot of work. Tests are timed with a lockdown browser, and you only receive one attempt. There are no study guides for tests, so you have to try your best to remember all information that was in the book, lecture, and lab. You can't see what you get wrong on the tests either. Doesn't make it easy to learn from mistakes.
This professor was beyond caring when I asked him for help. Jalota cares a lot about his students, but you have to put in the work. I've asked him for help retaking work, and he saw the work I put into the course helped me with what I needed. I've communicated a lot with him on advice; he gave clear instructions when I needed extra help.
Great professor, I took the hybrid class so we were supposed to be responsible for our own lecture. He still took time in the beginning of class to lecture to make sure we understood the material. I would take him for all of my science courses if I could.
Although Dr. Jalota's class is difficult he is always there to help. I was a low scorer in his class especially when we got to the bones. Dr. Jalota introduced me to an app where I could learn the bones since he knew I worked a lot. Dr. Jalota cared instantly and I always recommend him. He always supports me as a recommender, thank you Dr. Jalota!
I took his Anatomy class in Fall 2019, after graduating from the VVC nursing program, I can finally say that his class was tougher than the nursing program itself. He talked down to the class a lot. I remember he told us that if you had a difficult time in his class, then give up on nursing. BS! FYI you only need the basic anatomy for nursing :)
Dr. Jalota is so awesome! You have to study for these 5 credit classes. He asks you read before and come prepared and provides everything you need to do that. So many of his former students come see him and give him updates. He's so helpful! He even helped me get a job after I finished his classes.
There were a lot of exams for anatomy. He does provide lecture notes and lab notes to help with the exams, so you have to be prepared to study hard. There are lockdown browsers for his exams.
Anatomy is hard, regardless of your professor, but Jalota is the most arrogant professor I've had. He claims to be the best anatomy teacher, and all the doctors at all the hospitals that have ever existed know him and his amazing students. His ego is laughable. Do not take if you have a job, kids, or any kind of life outside of school.
Do not take this class! I know Anatomy is supposed to be difficult but he makes it worse then it needs to be. He puts down the class constantly when it comes to the notes, lecture vides, and exam scores as well as grades. He is nice one on one but infront of the class he is a different person. Save yourself and pick another teacher!
I took Dr. Jalota's anatomy class last fall, and it was great! He is very strict, but honestly, that pushed me to do better. Tough love, I'd say. One big piece of advice: participate during his lectures! He really appreciates when students engage and ask questions. Yes, his exams are challenging, but they're definitely not impossible to pass.
Dr. Jalota is an excellent professor who truly cares. He explains complex topics clearly, encourages questions, and keeps lectures well organized. He wants students to understand, not just memorize. Study consistently and participate, both are key to pass!
I want to thank you for this semester! I really enjoyed his class and learned so much. He was an amazing Professor!
Watch the lectures and you'll be solid
Watch his lectures and read the book! His lectures help a lot and makes everything easier. Hes very easy on grading especially the discussions and the essay questions. There are two essay questions per exam and he tells you which ones he will be providing. The course is honestly really hard but you just need to put your time and dedication into it!
Read the chapters and Participate. He's really compassionate about the subjects.
I don't recommend taking this class. It was very difficult. The professors lecture videos are not very helpful at all. anatomy is difficult, but I don't feel like I learned in this class.
He will try to scare you at first but overall he truly cares about his students. He communicates very well if you have concerns or are struggling in the class voice that with him. He's a kind teacher who wants the best for the future of medicine. 100% recommend him out of all the anatomy teachers.
Dr.Jalotas class is by no means an easy A, you have to put in a lot of work and make sure you actually understand the material instead of just memorizing. It is a hard class but not impossible. He is always there to help and give you support when you need it. He can come off strong but that's just because he wants his students to succeed.
Pros: Massively informational Weekly interactive discussion b/n classmates Cons: Lecture heavy Grades only pending from exams Unreliable for communication (email 3x only responded once) Lied about extra credit Relies on auto grading rather than manually going through answers (Last exam highest class score was 65%) I highly suggest avoiding.
I enjoyed and can't wait to take another class with him.
He was simple and straight forward. Read your chapters, watch his lectures and identify the structures in the lab. I did that over and over. I used the pictures from the book, his slides and Google. Can't wait to take his physio.
very lecture heavy and instructions for assignments are confusing. you basically have to learn everything yourself bc the lecture videos are long and not very helpful, he just reads off the slides and rambles. expects you to write notes and do hw but won't collect anything. wish i would've picked a different professor overall.
Dr. Jalota's class was amazing. I learned a great deal and he was always there to answer my questions. I give him 5 stars
I watched his videos, read the chapters, took notes on his note takers and tested myself while completing the labs. I feel it was pretty straightforward.
Dr. Jalota is awesome; he turns an extremely hard class into something manageable with enough effort. He gives you so many resources and so many things to help with learning. He helps students with study habits, and really brings the most out of students for the most part. I did have to pull quite a few all nighters though.
Dr. Jalota is one of the best professors at VVC. Yes his class is hard, but if you are clearly putting in the effort and doing what you're supposed to be doing, he meets you halfway. He's a very knowledgeable man that cares a lot about his students (especially the ones that work hard). 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Dr. Jalota is an amazing professor I would definitely recommend him! He genuinely cares about his students and is always willing to help you. 10/10 professor! This class is by no means an easy A, you will have to put in the work and participation matters. This class moves pretty fast so keep up with the lectures and do your reading.
DID NOT TEACH ANYTHING, he only reads slides. Exam and quizzes are passable but hard to ace, no open notes. Provides study guides but slightly helps with tests. Practical Exams are easy, complete the labs and study. Grade is based on exam and quiz scores only. Notice the bad reviews have alot of dislikes and good ones have a lot of likes, stay woke
I enjoyed Dr Jalota's online class. He gave us plenty of time to complete our assignments. He has an awesome and easy to follow syllabus, schedule and website. His lectures were really good, they followed his study guide and the textbook. I learned a lot from his class.
Exams are tough, take time to study, and participation in class, pay attention to in-class lectures, and review lectures before class. STUDY, pay attention to the class schedule and syllabus.
I enjoyed his class. Well organized. It's not an easy subject and he teaches it well. You have to study.
His class is straight forward. He gives you a schedule, follow it. He's so nice and reviews lecture material before lab. Gives outa lot of extra credit for participation and cat dissections. Watch his videos, read the book exams are straight from lecture. Lab exams are from lab material. He goes above and beyond. So many old students come see him.
Dr. Jalota really cares for his students and their success. He's a great mentor and always willing to help his students and any other student from campus.
