I thought microbiology was going to be difficult. She makes this class a piece of cake. Everyone should take Dr.Hebel. Notes she gives are on reserve in the library, and tests are just like the notes. Very good class. Take it for sure.

I took Bio I, II and micro bio with Dr. Hebel and got an B, A, A, in all three classes. I am not a genious she is an awsome teacher very easy nice and polite will work with you no book required provides you with the notes and lets you out early.

Dr. Hebel is by far one of the most student friendly teachers around. Course Packet is all you need. Summer I was not strict class times (got out early every day) Tests from course packet. Bonus points- easy project papers + she curves! That she is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet is icing on the cake. Study and make that "A" easy!

Words can not express how wonderful Dr. Hebel is. On tests, I made B, B, & F, did all labs, Extra Credit and a 99 on the final. Came out with an A in the class! She also drops lowest test grade and matches with final exam grade! Cuts a 3 hr class to 1 hour. #1 teacher.

Dr.Hebel is an awesome teacher and her class rocks! DO your reading and you'll be fine on the tests. She's really nice and you can have a conversation with her. ALWAYS there for her students. @ 1st nervous taking such a "hard class". Dr. H is THE best Micro teacher. No need to buy books or take notes. All there - just follow her lecture (3 hour class broken down to less than an hour). Tests are straight from notes. Absolutely a fun class the way she teaches and learn how to apply Microbiology to everyday life. Listen and get an A.

A professor at HCC Town and Country. All the tests are based on the notes compiled into a book that you can purchase at the bookstore. No need to buy the book. An A in the class is attainable if you study the notes very well for the tests. 5 lectures,1 lab, and 1 microscope test. The tools are layed out there for you, just study! Nice teacher.

just study her notes & you'll get an A. you don't need to buy the textbook as the class notes you can buy at the bookstore is the summarized texbook. if you want to study & learn at the same time then take her class. the lab book is not a big deal. tests are all taken from the class notes. highly recommended. i'd take her again. she's great!

Dr. Hebel makes it clear what you need to study, because she has compiled notes for the class, which you must purchase from the Bookstore. You are not required to buy the text. I would recommend buying the text for the diagrams. Dr. Hebel is very clear and direct. You must study the notes, but Dr. Hebel is reasonable.

Excellent teaching style, with very precise way of dealing with topics that were actually necessary among the bunches of others that is in the text book. She's very specific with topics to review for her exams and quizzes, so if you don't get a high grade, it simply means that you either didn't study or your just kinda slow or poor in learning.

i learned more for dr. hebel's micro class than bio 1, since she doesn't allow "cheat sheets" for micro tests and she actually lectures some....just need to memorize her notes before each test and you'll do fine..ridiculously easy A!! again, like her bio 1 class, it's so easy it's sort of a joke...and could hurt those who really need to learn something down the road.

i was so terrified of takin microbiology at first. but this lady has a true gift for teaching. she breaks down the material so simply, it's hard not to get it. in micro she has her own notes that she uses so the text book is not necessary and she test straight from her notes. TAKE HER!!!

Dr. Hebel is still great but she is teaching way too many classes and as a result she is not as helpful or responsive as she used to be. She was really stressed out and frazzled at the end of the semester.

Took summer (2008)online Micr w/ lab online, Dr. Hebel is one if not the best professor I've ever had. She's extremely helpful, her exams are out of her own book (she wrote it) which was very easy to understand! Loved that all the info in on exams and in her notes were short and to the point! She clearly wants everyone to enjoy learning She is cheerful and explains things clearly. Easy A(just study hard), gives lots of x-tra credit, replies your email the same day about any questions or concerns, and a very understanding teacher. I took Anatomy and Microbiology with Dr. Hebel and let me tell you..BEST PROFESSOR EVER! She is extremly helpful, gives extra credit and if you fail her class..something is wrong with you! Highly Recommend! She is nice and cares about her students!

Easy A if you do what she clearly tells you to do. Do the extra credit work to give yourself extra confidence about your grade. Do not miss class, which is something many HCC students don't understand. Duh. If you are in the online class, post your work as early as possible. This is something else many HCC students don't understand. Duh.

The class is a kind of difficult, but not too difficult. She is easy compare to other professors. You just need to study and do extra work. She drop the lowest grade.She is wonderful!

Next week will be our final and I'm ready to rate Dr. Hebel. She loves her job & she knows what she's talking about. She makes microbio extremely fun & interesting. DONT BUY THE BOOK! You do need the textbook for her anatomy classes, but you can buy the previous edition and save a lot of money. That's what most people do. Easy A if you do all of the assignments and readings. This is college and effort is required. If you put forth the effort and you are smart enough to be a safe, competent nurse, you will make an A.

Don?t think this course/professor will be an easy A. Although exams are only 50 questions you have to study about 200 possible questions that may/may not be on the exam. Also, it will be very difficult to just "study" the information as you actually need to comprehend the material. She offers some extra credit and drops you lowest exam grade.

Dr.Hebel is very down to earth and friendly. Anyone can pass with and A. All you have to do is study what she tells you to study. Just what you study is what you will see on the test, she don't change the words. She loves to see her students do well. I was scared of a mini-session A&P2 class. 'It's a fast-paced class...'She warned,and indeed it is, but she made it easy.Great & helpful teacher. Focus & put in an effort and you wont fail.

She is the best. No wonder it is very hard to get in to her classes.I have taken all my biology and Microbiology with her. She is very knowledgeable and helpful.

One of the best professors I've EVER had. Not only is she knowledgeable but interesting as well. I had previously taken Micro and had the HARDEST time resulting in a drop. I won't lie, her exams covered a lot of material but her notes left me well prepared and I ended up getting an "A" this time around. Don't hesitate, she's wonderful!!!

I've taken Dr. Hebel for both A&P II and Micro. For those of you that think that she will just "give" you a grade, you are wrong. You have to study and put forth an effort. There is a lot of stress involved in taking these classes, the material itself is stressful; so if you can wind up with a lecturer who genuinely cares about your success and backs up this concern with action, why pass it up?. Dr. Hebel is a must if you are in the Houston area. I chose to commute every Tuesday to the spring branch. I was worth it.

This is a hybrid class, must show for labs and exams. She puts 2 exams online and the rest in class. She is very helpful, answers email by the next day, fair grader, good exam reviews, you need your book for labeling in the lab book. There are 4 exams, 1 lab exam and the final. Her classes fill up within hours! If you do the work, you'll pass!

Really sweet lady that cares about her students. Gives TONS of extra credit. Tests are exactly like the practice tests, all you have to do is memorize. NO TEXTBOOK! A really easy A BUT I am doing physical therapy and I really regret taking this class. Since it's a hybrid, you have to teach yourself the material I did not learn anything at all.

I took her hybrid course and only showed up for labs (once a week), no lectures. There are days when we dont even have labs, so we show up for exams. Purchase the book that she wrote. Everything that you need to know will be in there. 4 exams, 1 dropped. DIstrict final was flippen hard, made a 55%. Do the extra credit, I passed with an A b/c of it.

AWESOME INSTRUCTOR! I would take her for all my science classes if I could. There are 4 exams, 2 lab exams, and the departmental final (HARD ). She drops one lecture exam based on how you are doing. I would suggest take all tests and then drop your lowest. Her exams are easy if you make questions for yourself from her notes.

Microbiology online over the summer (hybrid), it was a one month class so 1 test every week. BUY her textbook, all the questions are from there. All test were online, those were our only grades. Final was in person, got a 100, review practice quiz questions! All the other reviews say there are alot of extra credit but we only had 10 points extra.

She is an angel sent from heaven above. By far the best, and I mean it THE BEST anatomy professor. She switched the quizzes that we were supposed to take for a project that was super easy and fun to do. The final was easy as well. I took her for lab in the summer, she is such an easy going professor and genuinely cares about her students.

Dr. Hebel is the sweetest professor EVER. I had her for Micro lab & she made things easy. We had 1 to 3 labs per class because we only met up once a week. Despite that, she explained everything well and nothing ever felt rushed. We had labs, a midterm, a microscope practical and a final. She provided reviews and she always answers emails you send.

She is an amazing professor, took her both A&P 1 and Microbio in the same semester passed both with A, for micro she does give out extra credit if you take her for a whole semester like I did. Buy her book and listen to her instructions everything is in her announcement, I love her and I am looking to take her for A&P 2.

Took her for lab she was awesome. Hard to not get an A and is extremely understanding to unforeseen circumstances. Study on your own or you wont pass. Ask her for help and she will. Easy grader, easy exams, and super friendly.

I took her 8-week class, and it was 12 quizzes, 3 tests, with an in-person comprehensive final. She is extremely generous with grades and as long as you read the FREE reading material she gives, you will be good.

Many quizzes, test are with webcam. Test were very difficult. I figured out that she uses questions from the pretest and the questions are the same, but it might not ask you the exact same question if that makes sense. ex __ have a cell wall. (in pretest) and on the test its like plant cells have a ____. But is willing to give help if needed.

I was lucky enough to take her for Microbiology, and I'm so glad I did. She is a great professor! Gives you reviews and tells you exactly what's going to be on the exams. Purchase her study guide. I love it. Makes microbiology so easy to understand. You have to study and work hard for the class. You can't just expect her to give you an A.

I took Dr. Hebel during summer 1 which was very interesting due to also taking lab part with her too. It was the best choice ever. She will tell you exactly what to expect on the test. Its not an easy A in the sense that you do have to study, but if you don't pass its because you don't try. You might as well look for another major.

I took her lecture BIOL2302 summer class online. 4 quizzes + 4 exams and 1 Final department exam(10%). She dropped lowest grades of the quiz and exam. All exams are multiple choices from a practice website she provided, so it's easy A. But no review on the Final department exam. I got 89% but she made the grade up for everyone at the end so it's A

Took A&P in HS (bombed) but Prof. Hebel makes A&P 1 really informative and interesting. At first, I was afraid I wasn't going to do well because of my past but I was really happy that I came out with the grade I wanted. She provides all the resources you need, however her exams are heavy and are based on her 500 question review so be prepared!

To begin, I dislike science, but I needed this class in order to get my basics out of the way. I worried about failing, but as long as you try, you will be ok. There are 4 exams: 2 with webcam and 2 without. She drops the lowest exam score. There is extra credit. MAKE SURE TO TAKE IT. She is also available and easy to access! Study and take notes!

She provides a large question bank (150+) prior to exams for a week+ and it's repeatable. Yes, the question bank is a required grade, but there is no time limit for completion. Exam questions are pulled from the question banks and are repeatable too. A very thorough course. She is quick with communication. I would take another course from her!

I loved this professor so much. This is the best biology professor at hcc. She will do everything in her power to help you. If you miss due dates she will open them back up for you unless it's a Pre-Lab. her work is simple and easy, she does everything she can to pass you. my grade went from a B- to a A- this professor is an angel. Taking the lab with her during the summer was such a breeze because she provided MANY study resources that ensured you could learn the material and understand it. Despite this course being a lab we didn't really do anything hands on or do group projects. She'll talk for a bit and let you play with the microscope. She always gives out reviews, the questions on the reviews are the questions on her exams. If your looking for a class to learn and be hands on this isn't for you but if you want an easy A take her!

Amazing professor for A&P. Not super hands on with lab materials, but she absolutely gives you everything you need to succeed in her class from reviews, outside sources, and optional lab study days to prep for exams. As long as you show up to class and pre-labs are turned in on time, you're good to go. She makes it very hard to fail this class.

If you see Dr. Hebel for A&P I or II lec/lab as an option, forget about other professors and take her!!! You cannot fail the course because she gives you so much opportunities to succeed. Exams are easy as long as you do the practice questions. You are basically chilling if you do what needs to be done. Lowest exam grade dropped!
