Class was pretty straight forward. I took it online which I think was better since he can be hard to understand. Everything you need to know for the tests is in the reviews and the labs are pretty simple. Do your labs, study the reviews, and you should make an A.
Nice guy but hard to understand his lectures. Fortunately the class is really easy just do all your lab assignments and you will get a good grade.

Go to class, write the notes from the powerpoints, ignore anything he says (you won't understand him anyways) and take the quiz at the end of class. Its a 3 pt bonus to your test every time you go to class, so its worth it. Study the notes and his review sheet and do the lab assignments and easy A.
Take the weekly quizzes. They're easy and worth a TON of bonus points. You can't understand a word he says but all the notes are online. Test are straight from the notes. If you don't get an A then you didn't try & if you don't get a B, then you shouldn't be in college.
He's pretty knowledgable if you can understand what he's saying. Class isn't mandatory, but gives extra credit at the end of every class. Labs are mandatory but are really easy.
Couldn't understand a word he said so I looked at the online notes and went to the last 20 minutes of the lectures. Would be better if he spoke english. If you already have basic computer knowledge (knowing what RAM does) the lectures are extremely boring.
Abdallah isn't bad, he was a little hard to understand at first but you get used to it. Class is boring.. not required, but he gives extra credit quizzes at the end so you want to go. Info is straight out of the book. He's not all that helpful he's fair & if you pay attention and study a little you should easily get a B. I'd take him again.

The class has good material but you will not be able to understand a word that comes out of the prof's mouth. Accent. Big time! It's an easy A if you bring something to do to the lectures and get the power-points off the internet. Go to review classes, however, and he tells you exactly what to study in the oder in which it will appear.
Required course serves as an overview of rudimentary PC (Windows exclusive) skills. Take this course online. Lectures are incomprehensible. I honestly don't have a problem with accents per se, but he seems also to have suffered a stroke which further impairs his speech. All the lecture notes are online in ppt. Textbks are bought for SAM app only
Hes a good guy and wants whats best for you, but you just can't understand a word that man says. His class is easy if you go to class and get the extra credit. He also curves the grades alot so it is easy to get a B with doing hardly anything. Notes are online.
He is such a nice and caring old man! But you just can't help but fall asleep in his class cause you can't understand him at all. It sucks when people are rude cause he wants everyone to succeed. I got a 60 on a test but after the curve and extra credit it was a 79!!! Never even opened the book but you have to buy it for the lab.
He is incredibly hard to understand. I went to all the lectures so I could take notes but I didnt know what was going on. The tests are easy if you study the notes and he almost always curves the tests. You need the book to do assignments but other than that, I didn't use it much.
I went to the lectures, but ended up just sitting there for 2 hours doing work for other classes. You can't understand him at all with his accent. Don't bother with this unless it is absolutely necessary and bring some work to do in class. Pay attention during review because he gives out what is on the test practically word for word.

TRY TAKING ANOTHER PROFESSOR. His accent becomes very irritating after sitting through his lecture for 2 hours. All he does is read a powerpoint to you, so if you can read, I suggest bringing an Ipod to listen to while you write down the notes. He offers extra credit at the end of each class and that's pretty much the only reason why I go.
Completely ridiculous. Some comments say you can't blame him for his accent but he is a LECTURE teacher. His job is to speak to a large group of students with clarity and he has none. Just read the notes and sit in the back of class to get the extra credit.
He knows alot about what he is teaching but its VERY hard to understand him. He speaks like 5 different languages and english was is last. But he does give extra credit by giving quizzes at end of class and usually rounds the test cuz no body does outstanding
He knows his stuff when it comes to computers but is VERY EXTREMELY difficult to understand. There is really no purpose in going to class because he just reads the powerpoint slides to you which he posts online BUT you can get extra credit for a quiz at the end of lecture. His tests are fairly easy if you do the study guides.

1. The class is about computer parts and the internet, thus making it a very easy class. 2. The Lab is ridiculously easy with practice exams online. 3. The hardest part is the 15 hours community service project for 10% of your grade. 4. The lecture is boring, BUT if you stay to the end and do the extra credit, you get about 8% per test and curves.
Book is for 2 lab assignments & helpful for exam review. Difficult to understand during lectures due to his accent. Tests are hard unless you study the reviews. Impossible to understand. The class overall is very easy and he gives insane amounts of extra credit and curve points. The tests are straight out of the study guide. It's easy but very frustrating at times.

Very helpful, i usually received a low C (with very limited studying) on the test but with the curve and extra credit received a high B or low A. If you get the extra credit and fill out the study guide he provides then the class will be easy

I barely understood what he says, he has an unusual accent. His classes are boring, and the exam reviews are exactly the same as the tests. There was no final exam for our class, but there are mini quizzes after every class. The mini quizzes are open book/notes and are usually 2-3 questions. Overall, this is an easy A class.
I took his online class. Kinda of hard to understand the online assignments so if you are not good at figuring things out on your own, don't take it online. Other than that, it's pretty easy. Any problems I had with the class was with the TA, not Professor Abdallah.
DON'T BUY THE TEXT BOOKS!!! They're just a serious waste of money. Try looking for the SAM packet elsewhere because you need it for you SAM Lab Exams (like online). The Lab Instructor helps ALOT! As for the lecture, just make sure you print out the notes and be sure to write extra notes since the first 1-8 pages of his PP are usually different.
took online and it was sooo confusing at first but everything was curved like crazy and it was such a joke. assignments were confusing but easy, TA was useless, but i got an A+. 3 exams on campus really hard but curved alot. I learned a little from this class, but overall it was a joke and not as bad as I originally thought.
The was by far the worst class i have taken while at UCF and will probably finish the worst professor. He was impossible to understand and the class was ridiculous.
SO EASY. Tests come straight from notes (which are from text exactly). Extra credit for attendance :) Plus, he is sooo sweet. He will help anyone out. **Make sure your TA is cool, that is REALLY important. Some people in my class had trouble bcus their TA's were not helpful.
Strongest accent of any professor I've ever had. Very easy class though, and he is very nice and understanding. Take him, but take the online class.
(Web Course) He responds quickly to your e-mails, which is a good thing, because his website is less organized that my apartment. He tests on some of the most random information you could possibly gather from the text (which in itself is rather outdated) and can be a real jerk if you have a question. The class is passable, but it's a headache.
His accent is a H U G E headache. It makes the lecture terribly incomprehensible and boring. The tests though were pretty easy because it comes straight from the Powerpoint. Most of the things he teaches on were rather straightforward. If you don't think you will mind his accent, take the class.

Okay Teacher, hard to comprehend due to a heavy accent. Curves grades on some tests and gives out extra credit quizzes to apply towards exam. Class is boring so I recommend the class thats 2x/wk so its split up! All-in-all okay teacher. The lab was okay, had to do a stupid project but was able to do another one instead to replace.
Never did understand a word this man said. Curves your test 10 to 20 points each time. All in all not a bad class just really no point in showing up. My advice is to get a partner and alternate weeks that you each go. worked perfectly.

He also curves every test which helps a lot. He is a really nice guy who cares about his students, people should cut him some slack!

I did not like this teacher at all. The class itself was not that hard but Abdallah was hard to understand and the wording on his tests made the questions difficult to understand as well. The class itself was SOOO boring but you should go to get the extra credit at the end which really helps out.

Hard to understand. Extremely boring class, can gets notes online without going to class. Reviews were long but very helpful on the tests that could be confusing with wording. He gives a lot of extra credit, I got a 64 on a test that with all the extra credit ended up an 81. Overall I'd recommend mainly bc of the easy extra credit.

This class was pretty much impossible. I failed or got D's on every test. If you go see him during his office hours he'll help you out though. You HAVE to go to class to get the extra credit on the tests. And your TA in your lab will make you or break you. I failed every test but got an A in the lab and then got an A in the class.

OK heres the deal: Yes he is hard to understand with his thick accent but after half an hour it gets easier to understand him. He is very nice as long as you dont talk in class. His tests are a joke! so EASY! the lowest test grade i got was an 88%! The lab is easy as well. Bottonline this class is amazingly EASY!

Do what ever you possibly can to not take him. If the only choice is between him and a 7:30 am class, take the 7:30 am class. You can't understand a word he says and the review he gives before tests are a joke. I studied and knew everything on the review and still failed miserably because the review is so vague compared to the test. Don't take him.
this was an easy class. just dont be a slacker. he is hard to understand but lectures are good for reviewing ppt slides and for extra credit quizzes. labs are useful to complete assignments and ask questions. accurate study guides are given before tests and curve is sometimes available (if class average is low). i didn't buy a book, still got an A.

If you're good with computers, this class is pretty easy, especially the HTML part. He's extremely hard to understand though and the lectures are pretty boring. It's not a difficult class but it's not a fun one either. I somewhat enjoyed the lab.

how i got an a: 1)go to class!! he gives out extra credit at the end of each class. And its so worth it. But what our class did to pass time was bring a laptop. Go on facebook, play tetris, watch a movie. Yah you cant understand him since he's deaf and his accent is like a melting pot of every possible country, but its worth it, trust me
His class is extremely boring, hard to memorize, and impossible to pay attention to. You cannot understand a single word he says (not his fault), but it's just really hard to learn anything when you cannot understand anything that a teacher says. I would recommend not taking him.

I took the online section - definitely recommend if you know something about computers. Assignments were very easy and he gives you a study guide for the test. As long as you study that with plenty of time, you should do good in the class. Also gives "practice" for the skills tests with 50 questions and 25 are on the actual test.
Never went to the lecture b/c i couldnt understand a word he said. BUT if you go to class, you can get extra credit points which is a plus. This class is really all about the LAB INSTRUCTOR... so if you get Ben Clarke you're golden.

Great prof! I took the online section and this class was easy. The TA was very helpful. You will have one short paper, 3 easy tests from the reading, 8 assignments about Microsoft office, and 4 skills tests. Take the lecture version of this course if your computer skills are limited. Pay attention to due dates. Easy "A"!

Super easy A!!! Gives you open note quizzes after class that count for extra points on your test. Also he gives you study guides that are pretty much the exact same thing as the test! Go to class only for the quizzes and be sure to not fall behind in the lab because its an easy grade booster.

I would recommend taking this class online because lectures are pointless. Assignments can be time consuming but you have all the directions and can go to a lab for help. Easiest class ever! Only attended class on test days. Gives test reviews before each test online. All tests are multiple choice and straight from the review. Professor is nearly impossible to understand, but luckily you don't need him anyway. I just skimmed the book the morning before each test and I aced each one. The lab is a breeze too.
Extremely easy if you study study guides. Curved tests by about 8 points, and if you attend lectures you take a quiz at end open note, which counts for extra credit towards tests, amounting to another 9 points. So if you get a c on a test you'll prob end up with an A due to curve and extra credit. No final. Accent thats hard to understand.

Professor truly cares for the success of his students. He is always there for you during his office hours to help. Extra credit is given at the end of each class and it covers some points from lecture, its best to go to class b/c he adds things to the lecture notes. Tests aren't easy but not difficult. He has an assitant, and when you email her, because directions are unclear or you don't understand, it takes her 3 days to respond. The class itself is very easy. Not too much to do, and easy assignments. If you are familiar with the programs you don't really need the book. The teacher responds to your e-mails, but the assistant does not. As long as you do the assignments, you pass. I missed a test and 2 assignments and still got a good grade!

Nazih is the man. I am by now means a computer person but he makes it pretty easy to understand. Does basic powerpoint and thats about it. But this guy is the man. I barely did anything and got an A. Sounds kinda like grover from Sesame street but a pretty funny guy. He has these corny jokes of the day at the beginning of class. Pretty easy A.
If you speak anything but english you should be able to understand.

He gives out an extra credit quiz each class which really helped my grade. At times, I got bored in class. I didn't use his office hours, but I'm sure he would make time for his students.
Prof Abdallah is a knowledgable person and the only problem I had with this class was the insane amount of boredom he presented with his lecture. I literally fell asleep in his 2 hr long lecture almost every time the class met. I recommend finding someone that goes to the lectures and taking their extra credit answers instead of falling asleep.
As everyone says he is very hard to understand at first, but you will get used to his accent. You dont HAVE to go to class, but he does give additional information in his lectures to add to PP presentation. Also has 2 or 3 question quizzes at end of every class that counts just for extra credit added to tests.
He's not that bad. His accent is a little thick though. Attendance is kinda mandatory. He does in class quizzes after each class. If you take good notes you'll do fine on the tests.
DON'T take this course online. You are told that you have to deal with TA...but, TA NEVER responds to emails. If you are unable to attend open labs...you will fail. Lots of work. Three difficult tests, weekly lab assignments, a mid-semester paper, plus four skills test. I have never put so much time into one course.
Terrible professor, manageable class. I started out going to every class, but it didn't help. His accent is awful and his PowerPoints are online. However, if you take every test, it is hard to fail. I only got a C because I completely forgot to take an exam.
His accent is horrible, but he is an incredibly easy teacher. He gives you the answers to test questions verbatim if you go to class, as well as massive amounts of extra credit. He likes to joke around and tries to keep things interesting, since its boring subject matter.
Went to the first few classes then never went back. His accent was so thick he was impossible to understand. The tests were a bit challenging. Lab was super easy. The SAM tests are easy but little mistakes will royally f you (I got 25 points off for a 1 letter typo!)

Took it online & its a lot of work. 1 assignment each week. Its only bad bc u have to teach urself powerpoint, excel, etc. The 3 exams are surprisingly tough even with a book in front of u. If u dedicate a decent amount of time to each assignment u can get an A or u can slack off and still get a B. I never saw a TA & had no problems w emailing them
Horrible teacher. Can't understand a word he says. Lectures will bore you to death so I just stopped going. However there are extra credit quizzes at the end of each lecture which could help your grade. Tests are all online at home so you can have the PowerPoints and Internet at your disposal. Not a hard class, just an awful teacher.
No one is exaggerating when they say you can't understand him. A really thick accent and sounds like he has no teeth. I'm not saying it to be mean but its true. Go to class at the end for the EC quiz. He lets you use w/e to Google the answer. The tricky thing is picking a lab instructor where attendance is mandatory. Mine was bad. Got a 98.
Only take Abdallah if you have no other choice. The class is a complete joke and lectures are optional (and useless). However, the lab is mandatory, a pain in the butt, and attendance grades will destroy your final average if you miss 3 of them.
This class is miserable to take. If you want an easy A while wanting to cry of boredom in lecture, take this class. The tests aren't too hard and the quizzes you get when you attend class can really help your grade. Labs are annoying though and can cause frustration.
I did not have a problem understanding this professor at all, unlike others. He is very knowledgeable about the material and tried to make lectures better by throwing in (lame) jokes at the beginning of class. Definitely an easy A as long as you follow directions and do things on time. Have the material in front of you for exams and you'll do fine.
Read the book. That's all you need to do. Lectures are unnecessary. Keep up with the projects. I took the class online, which was really easy. Just make sure you read the book fairly closely.
Took this class online. Never had to talk directly with the professor. The TA was very nice and helpful. This is a very easy class. Just stay on top of things and study for the tests and you will be fine. Most test were curved and there was one extra credit opportunity which is very easy. I got an A in the class with minimal effort.
Sat in this class for 7 minutes. He didn't use a microphone in a class of 300 students, and speaks poor english. Too hard to understand his english so I had to withdraw.
Web section: The assignments are easy, but he is impossible to communicate with. He answers questions with 1 line e-mails and is extremely vague. Absolutely zero guidance as far as the assignments and homework, and the course website is vague. If you're looking for a straight-forward class, I would recommend taking somebody else.
Web section was an easy a. Can't say I learned much, as long as you can work a computer your good. I submitted a completely irrelevant research paper as an assignment and got A. Some of his assignment instructions are not clear, but if you're looking for an easy a with no, literally no, teacher interaction with your teacher, go for it
You can't understand him but its an easy class so whatever. He gives an extra credit quiz at then end of each lecture that is super easy. By the time you have a test you can have up to 9 points extra credit, so attendance is worth it even though its boring. If you don't care about learning (unless you read the book) then take it for an easy A
Professor Abdallah is a TERRIBLE teacher. Do not take his web section unless you want to spend your nights worrying about who to contact when you have a question. I tried getting in touch with him, with my "lab professor", and with numerous other people, only to get 1 line responses directing me to other people. Stick with someone else.
I emailed him asking a simple question and he kept responding with snarky remarks. He was very rude, did not bother helping, and he is the only teacher I have legitimately been angry with. The test information was not all in the notes. Pulled off a B because I got a good grade in the lab portion.
"Fluent in 4 different languages"-none of which are English. Horrible teacher. Boring lectures. Mandatory lab attendance. Very easy assignments but tests are tricky if you are not familiar with material. Listen to everyone else who has rated, only take him if you have no other choice.
Professor Abdallah is rude, not helpful in the slightest bit, and ix very hard to understand. This course is a joke and I would recommend not taking it if possible. The lectures are not important; the lab instructor and lab assignments are the only useful things about this course.
Attendance for lecture is not mandatory, for labs it is. Abdallah is very hard to understand due to his heavy accent. He posts his lecture notes online and I would recommend printing them and handwriting notes, because you'll space out and end up on Facebook with a computer. Tests are 50% of your grade. I took the online section for Fall 2011, and it turned out that the course was pretty easy. You do need some effort to read the textbook as well as to do the assignments, but as long as you follow your own pace, the course shouldn't give you too much stresses. He curves your grade too. If you know how to manage your time well, you should do fine.
Easy class, hard to understand, take tests in groups, don't need book, tests online, lab is easy as well. This is an easy, but tedious class. The only part that really sucks is the SAM course. It's really picky, but sometimes they give you extra points for SAM's mistakes.

He was a very good professor, minus a few confusions with his accent, but I had a decent time understanding him. Gave us all the information to pass the class- it's really up to the student if they want to get an A or barely pass. I am not an overly computer savvy person, but I learned a lot in his lecture and passed with a very good grade.
He's a great guy who tries his best. Yes, he has an accent. No, you don't need to go to class unless you want to take the quizzes which are extra cred for the tests. The lab for CGS2100 has nothing to do with his lectures. You'll only need the book for the lab, if you want to follow along. Not hard but a waste of time.
Nice guy, his accent is a little hard to understand but I got used to it. I would recommend going to class because he offers extra credit at the end which really helps your grade. I loved that the tests are online and you can use your notes. The class was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
Definitely take this class online. I cannot even image having to attend this class. This professor is very rude but if you take it online you will never have to deal with him. Class was pretty straight forward and not too difficult. Lectures are mundane and useless with the exception of the assigned quizzes at the end of each class which go towards overall test scores. I took this class online. Its VERY difficult. If you know how to use computers and ALL of the microsoft programs you will do ok on the lab assignments. The tests were the hardest part. The TAs do everything. They will answer some questions but not in a timely fashion. You will have to teach and do everything yourself. VERY time consuming.
Only went to 3 lectures because he keeps you the full 3 and a half hours!! Labs were super easy, however tests were impossible unless you know stuff about particle physics and computer programming!! Don't take him if you have the chance!! Run!!

Took it online and the class absolutely blowed. You don't even get Abdallah, you get the TA who is no help and takes at least three days to get back to you if you have questions. So if you don't know what you're doing you're screwed. I'd recommend taking it on campus where there's more help. Still got a B+ though.
The tests are worded so specific that you would need to read and know everything by the book. They try to be as vague as possible sometimes and even some of the questions have grammar problems. Took the online course, and the assignments would take weeks to months to grade. I finished a week ago and have yet to get my final grade. No clarity at all

Attendance is only mandatory for the lab not the lecture and most labs tend to be open labs so you just sign in and leave. While lectures arent mandatory, you can get up to three points extra credit by taking open note quizzes which are extremely easy. Only three test all online and you can use notes. He also gives a study guide.

His lab instructor hardly ever returned my emails until the end when she was replaced. I only heard from the teacher himself one time. I hated this class. It's only 3 credits and has a lot of work associated with it. Lecture is beyond boring The 3 tests are easy because everything comes right out of the book. Lab is mandatory, has 5 major projects, and a research paper. This class seems outdated. I regret buying the SAM package for $70 and only using it 4 times for small quizzes.

The three hour long lectures are not worth it. It's very hard to understand what he's saying. The online tests are easy. It's an easy A if you remember to do all of your lab assignments, if you miss one or two, you're screwed. The assignments are time consuming and you have to follow the directions meticulously, but they're not hard.

You get a review for the test that is hit or miss when it comes to being actually helpful. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. This is the WORST CLASS EVER. The assignments are SO unspecific and for most of them, you're required to have access to a PC. 75% OF COLLEGE STUDENTS OWN MAC COMPUTERS. Such an annoying class. So unorganized, the lab instructors suck the most. Don't take this if you can help it. Just don't. Oh & don't buy the book. Waste of money.

Three online MC tests and no final. He gives an open note quiz after each lecture to give you bonus points. He is very hard to understand but everything comes from PPT notes. Do not buy book,never opened it. Choose keisey Fumero for lab. Easy A. Work must be done on PC and not Mac.
One of the worst classes I've ever taken. For the extra credit just get to class 30 minutes before it ends, open the powerpoint for that day on your phone or computer, and ctrl+F to search for the answers. Does not do grade pluses or minuses (so just A,B,C,D,F) for final grade. Had Max Roberts for lab instructor and he was pretty cool and helpful.

I took the online version of CGS 2100 and I couldn't tell you what Professor Abdallah looks like. The class requires a TON of work if you want to get an A. Assignments are lengthy but simple and very clearly explained. Tests are a bit harder but based solely on the notes and lecture material.
The assignments were ridiculously time consuming, but I completed everything except for one assignment (which we did together in lab) on my Mac, so don't think you can't use a Mac. He was sometimes difficult to understand, but that actually made me focus more on paying attention! He gives a quiz for extra credit every week if you attend lecture.
Impossible to understand, much less pay attention to during his never ending lectures. It's boring, and the tests can be tricky. The lab is easy, but very tedious to do. Between labs that I've had knowledge of since middle school, and his horrific lectures I'd say run away from his awful class.
Lecture instructor for this class. He has a very heavy accent. You must at least show up for the end of class for the Extra Credit/Attendance quizzes. Occassionaly he puts something in the slides to make the students laugh (it rarely works). On the website, the slides & more detailed notes are posted. As long as you read them, tests are a breeze.

Honestly if I could have put a negative number for "Helpfulness and Clarity" I would have. I emailed him 5 times throughout the semester with very specific questions and his answers did not pertain to my question even remotely. The class inst very challenging but expect to teach yourself EVERYTHING and I mean that.
It is very difficult to understand him. He is also very rude and calls out students, such as making them show him their laptop screen or announcing to the whole class that someone is on their phone. His content is very difficult to understand simply because of his poor English and the way he teaches. His long lectures are basically hell.

Lab is mandatory, make sure to do all the assignments. Very easy class just annoying. Dont need the textbook, just the online "sam code". All exams are online!
Professor Abdallah knows his stuff, sure he has a heavy accent but if you just pay attention to his lectures you can get it. He expects attention in lecture & will call you out if you're disruptive, I respect that, wish more instructors would do that. Gives extra credit. I like him a lot but unlike many I'm willing to put in the effort
Honestly this class isn't difficult, it just isn't fun. The lectures feel like they take forever because you can't understand him that well, but all you have to do is highlight what he says is going to be on the test when you're taking notes. Gives extra credit quizzes from notes you just took during class. Tests are taken online! Google+notes+ECA
Most boring class I have ever taken.16The lecture is long and has absolutly nothing to do with the labs. It basically feels like you are taking 2 seperate classes. Lab work is very easy but the tests from lecture materials are difficult. You can barely understand him and his lectures arent mandatory but quizzes at the end of class are extra credit.
I took the Online class, he was terrible. After emailing him several times about ONE thing, and getting absolutely no response that pertained to my questions, I called him and he was LESS than helpful, he was very rude and was just trying to get me off the phone the entire time, again, not answering my questions. Wouldn't take him again, for sure.
The Lab section is extremely easy and is basically learning how to use Microsoft Office, my lab instructor just had us check in every lab for attendance and we didn't have to stick around. The lecture is pointless and the only reason to show up is to take the short quiz at the end. Midterms are online and answers are in the power-points/textbook
Took the online version of the class. I highly recommend it. I heard his lectures are long and boring. The online class is an easy A and you do not have to read anything except the power points to do well on the tests. He never responded to my emails nor did my lab instructor and they don't tell you when things are due so check it yourself.
Very easy class, would definitely recommend taking it online. The tests & midterms are completely unrelated to the weekly assignments. The weekly assignments are a little time-consuming but it's all useful information. The professor makes his expectations clear. Good class, good professor. I would definitely recommend this professor for the online.
So sweet, loves his students. lectures are 2 hrs long, show up the last 20 min. w/ ur laptop and the chapter opened up so that when the extra credit quiz comes u can CTRL and F for the answers. Dont have to show up to class tho. 3 online tests, keep chapters open in ur tabs. Get Kelsey Fumero as Lab teacher, awesome. easy class and no final.
This class isn't too difficult because the tests are open-notes and he gives you plenty of extra points on your tests if you go to class and complete the quizzes at the end of his lecture. A little bit of a tough accent but overall easy to understand, his lecture notes and textbook are all provided by him on the course website.
He doesn't give you enough time to finish the test questions. 60 minutes for 100 questions is clearly not enough time. Especially if the questions are very specified.
If you are feeling the need for an absolutely useless class, this is it. Unfortunately it is mandatory for most college of business students. The professor can barely speak English and has a very thick accent making the lectures, that are not recorded, practically useless. SAM lab is worst creation ever. 100% worst class at UCF.
Took the class online and honestly was pretty easy just real time consuming and pointless. Easy A if you're into Microsoft and things like that. The lecture part is 3 tests.. read his powerpoints and you will do okay.
It's incredible how unclear this course is. The first several weeks of the semester I was trying to figure out how the class is structured. The professor refuses to use Webcourses which makes it difficult/annoying for students. Exams are stupid & idk what they're based on. Horrible class, really, considering I'm a good student & I like computers!

This class was very simple most of the time but got particularly confusing with the semester project-which is really just a boring essay on the history of computers. Just make sure to get a 100 on the projects and look up the answers in the lecture book section on the website.
He has an accent which makes it a bit difficult to understand. He teaches off powerpoint and tells you to highlight things because they'll be on the test but it's a lie. His test are nothing like the lectures and for a lot of the questions there could be two responses. After each class there's an extra credit quiz, easy. SAM is easy but annoying.

He refuses to use webcourses, opting instead for his own website that looks and functions terribly. Lab is completely unnecessary and doesn't pertain to tests at all. Exams are open book/notes but 60 minutes for 50 questions puts a lot of pressure on you. All the answers sound like they can be correct though. Easy A though. He provides the "textbook" but SAM code is mandatory and is $70
If you can take this class online, DO IT. I only went to the first few weeks of his class before I got tired of not being able to understand what he's saying. All of his notes are online, the only pro of going to his class in person is he tells you what to highlight for test purposes and extra credit. Lab part of class is easy though.
This professor is rude!!!! He tells you in the syllabus to email your teacher's assistant with questions and do not email him. Well guess what? They don't respond and then when you finally email him, he says "why didn't you email me?" His instructions are not clear and his dates on the so-called class website are NOT accurate; but he doesn't care.
Having an 8:30 lecture is bad to begin with, but when it's also two hours long and your professor barely speaks English it's unbearable to say the least. The lecture portion of this class did nothing to prepare me for business and his tests are ridiculous. Save his power points from the website because you're going to need them for the tests.
It was hard to get a hold of him outside of class. Compared to the rest of my professors from this semester he was by far the worst. I wouldn't take him again. His tests aren't based off the very expensive textbook you buy its based off a book he wrote and provides for free.
Heavy accent. I couldn't really understand much of what he's saying. His lectures are almost three hours long and sitting through them for the quizzes at the end sucks. Lab and essay were easy. Stopped going to the lectures near the end, I went through the list of things we needed to know for the final and got an A. Said list is very long though.
Only needed to purchase the sam access code for the lab portion of this class since he provides his textbook through word documents for free. He gives extra credit quizzes at the end of each lecture and the points that are earned are added to your test grades. The tests are entirely based of of his textbook and powerpoints.
This lecture class is easy to follow along with the lecture notes he post online, go to the end of the lectures to take quizzes that range from 3-5 questions that give you extra credit on the test (you can use the lecture notes to help with the quizzes). The lab section is also easy (need to go to labs!) TAKE THIS CLASS
This professor gives boring lectures and half the time you can not understand what is being said due to his accent. With this class make sure to get a good lab instructor mine was great, an all worked out well. All the main class are lectures with online material as well. The professor can have an attitude when replying to emails.
He didn't respond to my emails. A research paper was required and due to his convoluted schedule/syllabus, it wasn't evident until it snuck up on you. Not a fan.
Never went to class after the first exam, all the exam answers are online, they can be worded strangely. Awful at explaining anything, hard to understand him sometimes. He seems moody, kinda rude to students. Course material is useless but this class is required for business. Lab is hilariously easy, you will pass and hate the class. Waste of time
I took this class online and it was very easy. 10 Lab assignments, a five page paper on the history of computers, and three exams that are easy. You can do the lab assignments at your own pace and are guaranteed 100s if you try on them. The paper is assigned day one and is due mid semester so there is plenty of time to complete it.
To be honest this class was extremely easy. But he's just a "meh" professor at best. Has a thick accent, and is truly a poor lecturer. Has bit of an attitude. Only reason to show up to class is for the quizzes at the end of class, which boost up the test grades.
EZ class but horrible professor. Lectures are 2 hours long and no one can understand anything he says because he has a terrible accent and he screams at you. The lab projects were good and my lab instructor was cool. 3 multichoice exams, questions make no sense in English and sometimes all answers sound right, other times no answers sound right.
Most useless class I've ever had. I took him for CGS 2100C, which is Computer Fundamentals for Business. You learn a few lessons on Excel, PowerPoint and Word but the main focus is such meaningless things as binary code, Morse code, the history of the internet and other useless crap. He doesn't use Webcourses for anything which is annoying.
I'm not a person to usually skip class, but I did for this lecture class. You get extra credit by taking a quiz at the end of the lecture. That's it. There's no other reason to come to the lecture unless you want to hear the man sound like he's in pain trying to speak english. All notes are online. Super easy class, just not enjoyable in any way.
You won't understand anything he says until the very end of class when he says you have 5 minutes to complete the quiz at the end of the lecture.
I had this class online so I never had to deal with his accent. This class definitely required some effort when it came to his exams but he always curved. Lab assignments were also online for me and those were a piece of cake. This class was pretty upfront and easy. Overall got an A.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! Not only is the professor rude, but the tests aren't in proper English and neither are his lectures. I only got the score I did because he weighted the labs more than the tests to hide his terrible work. Labs are easy but they tests are impossible. Avoid him at all costs.
I had this class online and it definitely put me at a disadvantage because he completely forgot about his online class. He doesn't tailor it for in person and online and there's a lot of tabs that don't apply on webcourses that I was confused on. The class isn't the worst, if you don't know Office then you're going to struggle.

I had a friend who is a computer science major look over the notes and told me that pretty much everything he read was false. Try to avoid if possible.
Dr. Abdullah has a very thick accent so it is kind of hard to understand him. Half of this class was lab based. He has 3 exams and no finals and the exams are super easy if you use your notes. He is the ONLY professor who teaches this subject. Attendance isn't mandatory but at the end of every class he does a pop quiz that'll give you extra credit.
Hard to understand, honestly better off not listening, writing whatever's on the powerpoints, and getting your extra credit points at the end of each lecture. Assignments have nothing to do with the lecture material since they focus completely on Microsoft Office, while the exams have nothing to do with the labs since they focus on the lectures.
easy A as long as you go to lecture (he has extra credit quizzes at the end of every class) and do the lab assignments which are also really easy. Tests are hard if you don't have his powerpoints in front of you but if you do the answers are usually word-for-word. Labs are easy, with the hw assignments just projects or quizzes in MS excel, word, etc, and the research paper is also easy as long as you follow instructions. The professor offers extra credit quizzes at the end of every lecture, so these are the main reason to go to class. The powerpoints are needed for the tests, which are somewhat difficult.
The homework for the class is relatively easy, however, the tests have nothing to do with the homwork and you have to teach yourself everything because he is so incredibly difficult to understand. He speaks very poor enlgish. I'm usually able to understand people with accents but he was extremely difficult. I understood about every third word.
thick accent, doesn't answer questions, tries to scare you and say 1/3 of you will pass (biggest joke of my life). grade is based off 10 SAM assignments (easy and can get help from TA), 1 paper (easy and graded by TA so easy graded), and 3 tests (online so just have the notes up and Command+F everything). If you have a MAC i promise you'll be fine.
He is very hard to understand. You don't need to see him at all, lecture attendance is not required. Tests are open book (his book is free). Lab part of class was very simple. Should be an easy a, but don't expect anything special or inspirational.
Bc I took this class online, it was flexible w my schedule and easy for me! I studied all the chapters for the lectures the day of the exam and received an average of a low A! Tests were open book, so I personally found them easy. Although I did not find the lectures useful for me, the lab portion taught me a lot.

This class was terrible. Seriously terrible. The lectures are pointless unless you want a VERY small amount of extra credit. Everything is done online. I really wish I took this class online. He's impossible to understand because of a thick accent (not his fault) but it doesn't help that he's just mean. If you need this course, do it online.
Easily the worst professor I've had at UCF. The concepts he teachers are absolutely irrelevant to the course. Many of the information on his powerpoint are incorrect. His english is subpar at best, which wouldn't be an issue except he constantly makes spelling errors on tests that change the entire question. Lab is fine, the lecture is horrible.
I took this class online and it was amazing. The assignments were the easy part as long as you read over the previews. The exams were the harder part with it being specific questions that you have to remember. He does give a half useful study guide but it is still hard unless you read and memorize. He doesn't grade A+,B,C-. He grades A, B,or C.
This dude literally bumped the grade on my term paper from a 0% to a 90% after I mistakenly did it late, just because I came in and visited him 3-4 times. Great guy although his accent is pretty thick.
definitely take this class online! the assignments were super easy; i know some people that finished them the first week. the exams were difficult but just have the powerpoints up and command F the information and you should be able to get at least a B. definitely do not buy the book - i made that mistake.
Attendance not mandatory, but he ALWAYS offer you an extra credit at the end of the lecture. Come to class to get the extra credit because the exam is hard. All powerpoint and notes is in the webcourse, but it is always handy to take an extra note. I would suggest to come to class, unless you can get 85 something in his exams.
This is by far the worst professor I have had at UCF. The lectures are dragged out and he will ramble. The tests have NOTHING to do with the class and the grammar is so poor it is difficult to understand the questions to begin with. You will be lectured on topics that have no practical use to your major. If you don't have to skip this class.
He has a very heavy accent and I can barely understand what he is saying when I went to his office hours for an online Computer Science class. The class uses Microsoft Access. Unfortunately for me, that program doesn't work on Apple devices. I had to literally go in the campus library to do the assignments.
Easy class to pass. I suggest you take a whole day to do the training and attempt the project till you get your desired grade. It was the most effective in my opinion. You can have the chapters read to you by the book and take minimal notes and do good on the concept assignments. No test or quizzes, just do the assignments and you will do good.
