I had a hard time understanding her and she wasn't willing to work with me when I needed to take a test early because of work conflict. I also needed help on the homework but the only thing she said was to "swing by her office" which was hard considering I work full time and go to school full time. Do not take this class! Avoid it like the plague! She is very difficult to understand and her teaching skills are horrible! I went to class every day and still only mananged a C-. She will give you a test review sheet to tell you what to study for the test. The tests are hard and have nothing to do with the review! STAY AWAY!
Nazneen is a very hard working but wonderful teacher! If you would like to get an easy A, avoid her. You need to study hard and keep in pace with her to do well in her classes.
Nazneen is great, she has a love for the subjects that she teaches that has made me love economics. She will make you work though, but a college degree should be work not a free lunch.
Her tests are the hardest I've ever taken. Do not miss a class! Do not skip the reading! She has a quirky sense of humor and genuinely has the students' best interests. Accent is a little hard to understand at first.
She has no interest in helping students learn, she's there for the pay check. She rushes through material, doesn't follow the book, and test on material not otherwise taught.

Nazneen teaches a VERY difficult class, but she has a genuine love for Economics. She comes to class happy and her class is interesing, but her tests are tough. If you're wanting an easy A, don't take it from her. She curves some tests a little bit to help the class though.
For intro ECON classes, there is no other. Sure, ECON's hard, but I hear the other professors are harder. She curves the tests and gives study guides too. Attendance is crucial to this class.
She is straight-up honest about the course being difficult. Take notes and do the reading. She's not a bad professor, but many seem to think so because the class requires more work than the average class.
She is an awesome professor! She loves Economics and is always willing to help her students understand, she does curve her tests and says what will be on the exams but you have to read and be prepared for those exams to get a good grade! Really enjoyed her class and her enthusiasm!

She's a great professor.very passionate about the subject and willing to help in any way possible.I would rather watch paint dry than study economics.this class along with accounting made me change my major and get out of business.that being said she made it much more intersting and had very easy/fair tests. just go to class and you will do fine.
Knows her stuff, also takes every problem through step by step. If you go, do the hw and practice tests the class is very do-able. Not easy but if it were then my degree path would be worthless
Terrible Professor in aspects. The average score on the first test was 67%. She claims her tests only consist of topics you discuss in class, which is a lie!! Do not take 2020 from her.
Nazneen will bend over backwards to help you with what ever you need. She even modified the class to fit the students in it better. She is tough, but so are all of the professors in the Econ program at WSU. If you are afraid of hard work you probably won't like any of them.
I loved this class. I was nervous at first because it sounded like it would be really difficult, and while calculus isn't the easiest to understand, the teacher made everything as clear as possible. She really cares about each student, knows your name, and tries to help as much as possible. I really enjoyed her as a teacher! Just do your homework!
Best teacher I could have had for this class. She really cares about each student and helps until you understand it. She curved alot of our tests because the subject was difficult, and she did everything in her power to help everyone pass. She is great, and a really funny professor! She knew everyone's names, she is great and really cares!
She can be hard to understand sometimes. when you ask a question she never answers it very clearly. her slides are straight from the book. However with that said most of her test is word for word from the practice test, So that is a plus. She doesn't give much work but she never updates anything online. she isn't a great teacher but she is easy.
Macroeconomics is a difficult subject no matter how good the instructor is. She did a good job!
Class is very hard, must study on a weekly basis, daily for some. I passed my standard calculus class but business calculus is a whole other monster. The tests are only six problems but all story problems. The teacher is very helpful but she needs more time in her class than a mere 50 minutes for a subject this difficult.
She is a great teacher. Bus. Calc. is a hard subject but very do-able. She cares a LOT about her students and is always willing to help you understand the material. The tests are very hard, but she does try very hard to make sure every student passes her class. I hope to get a C+.....
Her class is pretty hard. You must stay up to date on the homework (not turned in). Her tests are only 6 questions and mostly from the practice tests or homework but they are pretty hard. This class is do-able and the hardest thing about calculus is the Algebra.
Her econ class is easier than her QUAN 2400 class. I didn't even read the text and I got a B. You still have to work and study but it is a good class to take.
I think she did well teaching the class. Econ is a very difficult subject and I had no interest in the subject. She really does want her students to succeed and offered generous curves that helped my grade. I thought I was going to be lucky if I got a C- in the class but I ended up with a B-. Study the homework and practice exams.
Good teacher. Econ is a little hard for me to understand but she wants you to pass her class. No surprises on her tests and she was pretty generous with her curves. A little hard to understand at times but she is very willing to answer and questions and spend more time on the things you do not understand.
Dr. Ahmad is a nice enough lady however she was by far the worst professor I have ever had. Her tests do not reflect what was learned in class, the Homework, or the reviews. Avoid her class at all costs
The test questions are from the book. She would mix and match functions from different problems, but there was never a test problem that couldn't be found somewhere in the book. HW is not mandatory unless you want to pass. Do more than the assigned HW to do well. The lectures were so-so, but the textbook is very good.
Dr. Ahmad is extremely smart, so much so that I feel it is difficult for her to understand why students struggle. Comes off as patronizing. Do all the hw and then some if you want to succeed. Exams are 6 word problems, but they're pretty difficult.
Dr. Ahmad gets a bad rap. She seems rude, but only because she is so smart and doesn't get why you don't get something. Get a 100 on the algebra skills test and she'll love you for the rest of class. Super helpful during office hours too. Study the word problems from the HW questions and you'll be golden.
Professor Ahmad is a great professor. She goes through everything in a lot of detail and you really understand during lectures. The hard part is that the homework is a little confusing, the answers are typically scattered a little on the page. The tests are pretty tough, you need to know the stuff pretty well to get a good grade.
Horrible learning experience. The lectures were a waste of time. She is respectful of students and she'll attempt to help you when you ask. But read the textbook study the online resources you'll be fine, beware of typos At least that's how it was for econ 2020. She didn't require much work until test prep time and the tests weren't too bad.
Really good teacher. I have a natural aptitude for Economics, so this class was very easy for me. I felt that she was an excellent teacher and always covered the material thoroughly and the tests were well written and fair (meaning she tests on what she lectures).
You have to come to lectures, read the book, do the review tests, do all the homework, and understand the material if you want to do well in her class. She's really helpful, but it ultimately comes down to the effort you put into the class. So do the work and understand the material and you can get an A.
Very difficult to understand. Her passion for the subject was lost on me by the difficulty to understand her accent. Not a good experience, but if you put in the effort and work a B can be managed.
This was a really difficult class for me. She is very passionate about the subject, and she really wants her children to succeed. Her tests are tough. Her in-class assignments are timed, which was stressful. If you do the homework you will do well on quizzes. It took me a while to get used to her accent but it wasn't an issue for me.
Professor Ahmad is an amazing teacher, but if you do not make an effort to actually study and learn the material outside of class, you will not pass. She gives you all the material you need to ace the tests and quizzes and her lectures are very informative.
She's awful. Does not care about student lives or effort at all. She doesn't seem to want to get to know her students on a personal lever unless they are male. She grades hard. One wrong step and you miss 99% of the points. Don't take her. She doesn't care how hard you try. Unless you already know the material, don't do it.
Not a fan of her teaching. She is very unreasonable with expectations of both time and grading. Her in class assignments are open book but be prepared to never finish because she sets ridiculously low time limits. Shes a nice person but definitely shouldn't be a teacher, I'm usually more confused after the lectures.
Honestly, she needs to find another source of income. Her teaching is sub-par at best. There is no reason that she should have such hard tests when she can barely explain the simple examples. Have a question? Don't even bother because she probably won't understand you and give you a round-about answer. Accent is hard. Demeaning. Silent classes.
She is a tough grader-- there's no remorse. One mistake in a homework, quiz, or test can cause you to miss 95% of the problem. Makes it harder to understand her passion with Economics. Her exams are tough. Failing her class is the first time I've ever failed a class in my whole life.
Dr. Ahmad is a nice person, but this class was very frustrating. She assigns homework from the book and doesn't post the due date online. Once homework is turned in, she doesn't even grade it. She just writes "recorded" on the top. Homework quizzes are a big part of grade, and they are always very difficult and very abstract. Would NOT take again.
Dr. Ahmad really does care about her students and she is a passionate instructor. That being said she has a very particular way of lecturing and teaching. If it turns out that your learning style doesn't really mesh with her in the first few weeks, I suggest dropping or changing the class. It's an upper division course so be prepared to work.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Nazneen is a very sweet and caring professor. However, her lectures are incoherent and very poorly structured. She's allowed to make mistakes left-and-right in her lectures and her homework (even the KEYS). However, if you make even a single mistake she wrecks your grade. Plan to drop the class or kiss your life goodbye.
She tries her best and cares about her students but she is the worst professor I have ever had. She doesn't know how to answer questions and is terrible at explaining things. I'm a 3.8 student and this class is going to bring that down quite a bit. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.
Nice person but not a good professor. Be ready to teach yourself. She's not good at explaining things and the class is disorganized. Takes forever to grade. Harsh grader yet lots of little mistakes on homework keys. Class average on tests were always 60s. If you care about your GPA take a different class. I have a 3.5 but this will hurt it a lot.
She is extremely caring and wants you to succeed. She posts online video lectures that go into good detail, with that being said, I struggled with how she organized the class and her lectures. Very caring and is willing to help if you send her a simple email asking for it. Her homework is graded on participation and not on if correct which I liked.
I do not believe that she deserves the bad ratings that she has. If you show up to class (actually pay attention), read the associated readings in the textbook, and study for exams properly, you can easily pass her class with an A. She is extremely willing to work with students and answer their questions. Great professor and truly cares.
I genuinely never taken a harder class before in my life. Never thought I would fail or withdraw from a class but here I am doing just that.
Would not suggest this professor if you are taking her course online, she is unsure of how to utilize the canvas format making it difficult for students that are trying to learn via technology.
Get ready for closed note proctored exams, turn lecture on 1.5 speed, and buckle up for a class that should not be this hard. The average score on the final exam for my class was 47/100. That alone should tell you something. She is very kind, I just wish I didn't come out of a lecture feeling confused. Get ready for homework that will make you ???
Dr. Ahmad does not deserve the bad reviews that she has gotten. As long as you give minimal effort and complete all of the assignments each week, there is nothing to worry about. She gives you all the resources you need to pass the class and is always willing to meet if you require more help. Very respectful and caring. Uses a newer textbook.
The class structure is very frustrating. Your grade is determined byExams, Quizzes and HW. The exams are very difficult and she doesn't curve the grade (even when the average is a D+), the quizzes are only available from Friday at 8am to Saturday at 12pm and HW is based off participation and doesn't help you learn. Wouldn't recommend
I've taken a lot of classes that I didn't enjoy but this one by far takes the cake. I've NEVER hated a class so much. Tests are very hard, lectures are long and incredibly boring (not to mention hard to understand). The only reason I took this class is because it's required for my major. As long as you read the material, do the quizzes, and study hard for the exam you will pass the class. I think a lot of the reviews are a little harsh, she is very caring and wants her students to succeed, you just need to put in effort. Study guides for exams are extremely helpful and make sure to take advantage of the extra credit she offers.
Poor course organization: outdated syllabus causing confusion on quiz, reading, and homework schedule. Workload varies, 7 hrs to 1 hr/week. Long tests, strong studying needed. Grading not accuracy-based, review work for proper study. Check quizzes & homework keys for success. Videos range from 15 min to 2 hrs.
*NOT A GOOD PROFESSOR FOR NEW STUDENTS OR BAD TEST TAKERS* I took this class for my business foundations. The course on canvas was very scattered and not everything we had to do was listed and I ended up missing a couple assingments since I could not find them. The tests were also hard and 3 tests make up 70% of your final grade.
What an overly difficult class! Homework is not graded based on correctness, but completeness (how is anyone supposed to learn that way?!) Tests are long, heavily graded, and offered through proctorio; she struggles with technology and will blame you if anything happens, so just be prepared ahead of time. Lectures are long, so find a buddy & study.
She's good teacher overall, I just found it impossible to keep up/retain all the information needed for the tests. She does her class the old-fashioned way so you have to memorize EVERYTHING including formulas and charts and tables as they aren't provided on tests which are all cumulative. She's helpful when needed, I just found the class very hard
Probably one of the most difficult business core courses and if you don't have a good study habit, its easy to zone out from this class and start faltering.

This is the worst class I have ever taken at Weber State. This comes in part due to the material being a difficult subject in general, then you have the teacher aspect of this. Very hard to understand (which I get it, not her fault) I have to struggle so hard to understand anything she says, and by then I am way behind.
Part 2 Homework is a waste of time, and you profit nothing. You get graded based on submitting something. Tests are super long and hard since you have to literally have all the material memorized. Even then, some questions are in left field. Avoid this class (or really just the professor) at all costs.
I looked at these reviews and took the class because of the many 5 star reviews. Don't make the same mistake as me... Dr. Ahmad is nice, but don't take her classes.Tests are long, hard, and fully memorization (nothing prepares you). Worst class ever taken here. Worst class in my whole college experience. The professor cannot teach clearly or in any way that makes any sense. She barely goes over material that is on the tests and expects you to know it on an expert level. Gives out very few assignments worth very few points so your grade can suffer if you mess up once. Super strict grader.

Nice lady, but her class is terrible. Test averages were in the 40-50 % range. She does curve but only a few points even though the averages are awful. Don't take from her if you don't have to, I wish I would have read these reviews closer. BAD class.
Very tough class, harder than it needed to be. Tests will consist of a large portion of your grade. My class averages were about 50 to 60% on every test. Lectures are hard to follow, and you are graded on completeness, not correctness. You will have to read the book with assigned homework to be able to follow along. Nice lady but a hard professor.
She doesn't come across as mean but she is the worst teacher I have had in my life. I'm glad that she understands the material but I don't think she knows that her job is to teach the students. Honestly this is more on Weber State than it is Nazneen, a teacher this bad with average test scores in 60's then she should have been fired long ago.
She is the absolute worst teacher in the history of education. This class is ridiculously hard on its own and she makes it 10,000 times harder. She couldn't explain clearly to me what 9 + 10 is yet she expects us to understand topics that not even Einstein himself would want to learn about. Class average on exams were 60 so enough said about her.
Nazneen gives me hope that I can be absolutely terrible in my future career and nobody will even care. Thank you Weber State Administrators for teaching us this valuable lesson.
How can she feel accomplished as a professor when the class average on her exams is below 55? That says a lot about her and how she teaches. DO NO TAKE HER. Weber State made the biggest mistake ever by hiring this failure of a teacher. Every review on here above a 1.0 was made by her burner accounts. Any normal human being wouldn't rate her higher.
The teacher is very kind and wants you to succeed, however the lectures are long and the textbook is even longer. Tests are very heavily weighed and even one bad score can bring your grade down. Quizzes give you two attempts, and homework is easy, but they do very little for your grade. She offers extra credit through discussions and practice exams
Lecture quality for the online classes are awful and boring
This was easily one of my least favorite classes ever. The homework wasn't graded on correctness only completeness. The tests were confusing and the lectures were boring. The average test scores for this class was around 63% for all the tests. If economics isn't one of your strong suites, I do not recommend this class.
I did not enjoy the class, Nazneen is the worst teacher I've had from elementary to now. Weber State should honestly take a closer look at her and consider removing her from the staff. She acts nice but is extremely disrespectful. I might have honestly learned more by studying completely on my own, don't waste your money or time with this teacher.
RUN. Taking a class from Nazneen is like willingly walking into a nazi concentration camp. Get ready to study your guts out just to get a 52 of all the exams which make up about 60-70% of your grade. How she hasn't been fired or permanently banned from educating students is the #1 thing scientists still can't explain. NEVER EVER TAKE HER CLASS
The class is tough overall, you need to read a lot of the textbook. However, she offers lots of practice quizzes and exams before you take them. She offers lots of extra credit through these and discussions. The final exam was very similar to the practice exam. Are the reviews harsh? Absolutely. Put in the study time and the grade will show.
I struggled with this professor due to her thick accent, which made lectures hard to understand. The homework is graded easily, but the tests are very difficult. Many students fail her class. I had to rely on the textbook to learn. I wouldn't recommend her unless you're ready for self-study.
This class was easy, weekly homework and quiz. All multiple choice tests. easy signature assignment. Lectures covered all topics on the tests. I never once opened my textbook other than for the weekly homework assignment. Gives practice tests that are almost mirror images of each exam. Comprehensive final exam.

Would not recommend it. The language barrier is more than enough to get confused. I switched majors from ECON after this class. She was good about helping you but I would find someone else if you can.
This course can be hard but Nazneen is very good at putting what is on the quizzes on the exams. There is a lot of homework but it is graded on how much you attempted so long as you do 80% of the homework you'll get full points. I just spent 2-3 days studying the quizzes and I got a B to A on all the exams. No as hard as people make it out to be.
I took the online Macroeconomics class. Many would agree that the appeal to online classes is the flexibility with your own schedule. This class does not allow for said flexibility. The course was not overly difficult and the homework load was decent; however, not being able to work ahead really defeated the purpose of an online class.
