She is by far the worst professor I've had. Her lectures are disorganized and her grading in inconsistent. Everyone did horrible in the class and she didn't care. Don't do it, save your GPA.
She is the worst. Everyone is failing, and she doesn't care. She's very disorganized, and the class is only built upon about 5 grades, which are papers and the exams. Don't take this class.
Dr. A is very vague and unclear in everything she says. She is really nice and all, but her grading is inconsistent. Most of your grade will come from papers and exams. You don't have to go to class, just read the textbook really well. The class was not very organized. I recommend any other professor for this class.
very nice lady and interesting subject, she just doesn't know how to teach. 3 short papers and 3 exams for total grade, but papers aren't worth much compared to exams. only reason I learned or succeeded was because i read and took notes religiously on textbook... actual class was a waste of my time like 80% of the time
Nice lady but you have no room to mess up in this class, only 5 grades. Doesn't post lecture slides and her lectures are all over the place, sometimes she forgets to mention ideas and then comes back to them later. If you want to succeed you have to be willing to put the work in outside of class. If you are a strong writer the assignments are okay.
As a pre-health student, she is probably the worst teacher I have ever had (and that is saying something). She does not allow electronics (laptops) in class and she does not post her slides. Her rubrics for papers are incredibly vague and she takes points off for things she did not ask for. She is not good at her job and she is unsympathetic.
Tests are straightforward & come directly from the lecture. Easy papers, but graded inconsistently for some. Doesn't post anything on sakai. But overall, easy material & easy class. Dont let these extreme reviews stop you from taking PSYC 250. Dr. A is a great person, average proff. Literally just study the lectures and you will have no problem.
Absolutely the worst professor I have had at UNC. Refused to show us/post online the grading rubric for a paper worth 15% of our grade, instead just told us a vague summary of what was on it while she held it in her hands. She is a rambling lecturer and constantly leaves out important info, just to remember it later. Unorganized, unfair, unclear.
She emphasizes active listening, meaning she does not post her powerpoints online and prohibits laptops in class. So, attending class is MANDATORY even if she doesn't take attendance. Her tests are not only worth A LOT toward your grade but they are also hard - some of the questions require textbook reading. She does offer extra credit though.

I took Dr. A for an online PSYC 101 class during the summer. There were no lectures but there were online lesson notes and links for each chapter which were helpful. The exams were pretty much straight from the book application questions and all other assignments were easy. Every time I emailed her with a question, she responded within 30 minutes.

I've learned nothing through this class. But it should be an easy A if you never miss a single quiz. But this professor is too busy to reply emails and allows no excuses for anything, even if you experienced an urgent health problem.
Tons of quizzes, two midterms (90 multiple choices in 90mins), and countless forum posts which were useless at all. What we did in this summer session was just reading books and do assignments by ourselves. This is certainly the worst class I've ever taken.
Dr. A did the most minimal amount of work for teaching an online class. You won't ever interact with her. All you do is log in, do a discussion post and quiz each Sunday, and then there are 2 papers and 2 exams scattered throughout. Super boring class, honestly made me hate psychology, but very easy if you're looking for that A and are productive.
I didn't learn anything in this class. Since covid this professor has stopped teaching and all of her classes are self taught meaning you read the textbook, take sakai quizzes and post discussion forums. No lectures, you never get to see her or interact with her or other students. I dreaded doing work for this class, but it's an easy A.
Had this professor during Covid and it honestly made me hate psychology. There was no lectures or interactions with her and everything was textbook based. I did not learn anything and I always dreaded doing the work for this class. Also, there's no grading rubric for forum posts and they took up a big chunk of your grade.
Coming from someone who did pretty well in the class, I can only assume that better options exist for a PSYC101 teacher
Taking this class as a freshman felt pretty disrespectful with how little effort she put into teaching. Asynchronous, no lectures, and she gets her questions from random Quizlets. I felt like she saw this semester as an opportunity to "take a break" from doing her job and it shows. Only plus side was she took off the 2 lowest quiz grades.
I wanted to like this class, but I felt like I did not really learn anything in a meaningful way, and by the end, I was dreading this class. This class was asynchronous, and instead of having recorded lectures, all we had was a chapter to read in the textbook with some key points highlighted by the professor who was generally super uninvolved.
Very disappointed with this professor. She did the absolute minimum with this class. There were no lectures. She did "provide" key points and links to topics for each chapter but none of the links ever worked or led to websites that seemed very outdated. We had discussion forums each week with no rubric for them and grading seemed very random.
The other comments about Dr. A pretty sum up my experience with asynchronous psych. If you do not have reliable internet access, DO NOT sign up for this class. Dr. As late grading policy is ruthless, and she does not give leniency to technology issues. Im sure Dr. A is a nice person, but your time is better spent with another professor.
Dr. A is a caring professor, but she does focus on getting the material done more than the well-being of her students. For example, she went through two new PPT slides of material a day before our final exam. She tries her best, but her lectures can be a bit unstructured.
The WORST. She didn't put any effort on 101. I studied almost everything by my own. I think I could even teach better than her hhhhhh.
You're on your own with this class. Asynchronous class consisted of quiz and forum post each week, 2 web papers, midterm and final. Remember to do Research Participation. She's one of the easier graders I have had. Overall, would recommend if looking for an easy class to take.
Professor Adeyanju is an excellent choice. Due to covid, she decided to make class asynchronous so everything was self-paced, which worked for me. She was clear with what she wanted and is very kind if you get to know her. Super straightforward course if you pay attention to her posts. 30-40 page readings, 1 quiz, and 2 discussion post each week.
Unfortunately, this is probably the easiest class I will get to take in college. Asynchronous and I barely opened the textbook. Two short papers that I put minimum effort in and got a 95 for typos and a 100. Midterm and final exam answers are all online on quizlets. Probably completely different as an in person class, so take it online if you can.
Easy class. Just complete all the mandatory work and turn it in on time and you'll get an A. Readings are kinda necessary because there is no class period. Once again, emphasis on doing work on time. Turning in stuff late was why I didn't get an A.
Dr. A designed her online class in a very reasonable & clear way. Read a chapter a week, do two discussion posts, and take a short open-book quiz, all at your own pace. We wrote two short research papers and had an open-book midterm and final, along with the research study participation part of the class. She was very kind & warm & I learned a lot.
Her online class is asynchronous so you teach yourself all of the material and never come into contact with her. The course is extremely easy and is mainly based off of forum posts and weekly quizzes that are stupid easy to get A's on. A super easy class but not the best choice if you want to retain the information and make connections with prof.
She slayed out plans for textbook readings and quizzes. You do not listen to lectures, and the professor does not do too much, but it wouldn't make a difference in the class because it is pretty easy online.
Records 2 very short videos a week. Mostly of her reading things she highlighted from the text. Hands-off professor. Teach yourself. Didn't care at ALL about wellness days; same amount of work and even scheduled an exam on a M/T after Th/F Wellness Days. If you're serious about learning psych take another professor. If not, very easy A. Light work.
Best professor you can possibly have.
I love her she is amazing. Teaching is self paced. Learn the material it is very interesting.
best professor you can get for this course.
Her entire psych 101 class is taken from quizlet. Her forum post links dont work because she took them form other sources that have now become outdated. Easy A, but entirely not worth it. Imagine teaching at UNC where plagiarism is taken seriously yet plagiarizing your entire course. Joke class.
pretty easy class, a lot of reading and watching videos, but quizzes and test were not difficult and a few papers(2)
Extremely easy class online. Just skim the textbook, easy 15 question quiz every week and 2 forum posts. Two essays that are 3 pages long and graded leniently. Professor only records a 10 min video for some sections and has minimal involvement. Most of the class had a A.
Despite most of the review, my experience in p101 have been great, it is a self paced class so it is complete up to you how much psychology you want to learn and dont have to worry about the grade, if profs make the class hard, people complain, if the prof like this one make the class easy, people will also complain.
She seems really nice but shes the most unreasonable Professor Ive ever had & holds religiously to her syllabus/deadlines regardless of the situation. Her exams are difficult & her short answer grading is unreasonably strict & confusing. She is uneducated about accommodations (ARS, etc) & reasoning with her is more of a headache than its worth.
I was scared to take PSYC250 because of the bad reviews, but Dr. A is so nice and she really wants everyone to pass her class. You do have to attend class in person in order to actually understand the material, because the slides she posts are just bare bones. The discussion forums are a good way to boost your grade, so make sure you do them.
Dr. Adeyanju is a great prof in my opinion! Never felt overwhelmed with the workload 2 tests + final, 2 critique papers (graded leniently), and weekly forum posts. Attendance is a must because uploaded slides are not content-heavy but she provided unit outlines of the most important info and told us exactly what to expect for tests!
I do not really understand most of the bad reviews. She's clear with her expectations for deadlines. She did not grade harshly. You have 2 papers, weekly discussion posts, which can be replies or an original post, and 3 (easy)exams. She gives you pretty much exactly what to study for exams. Her lectures are engaging and she encourages discussion.
I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about, I really liked Dr. A! The class consists of a discussion forum each week, 2 two-page critiques, and then 2 midterms and a final. It is very manageable and never overwhelming. Dr. A is so sweet and you can tell how much she cares about us and wants us to do well.
Professor Adeyanju is so funny! She makes class interesting with personal stories about her kids. Her tests are clear and easy and based on her lectures. She is wonderful and caring. As long as you do your work, you will get an A. Plus, she is fun!
I'm not really sure why there are so many poor reviews, I really enjoyed this class. Professor Adeyanju kept lectures interesting and engaging, always encouraging us to ask questions and taking her time to answer them to the best of her ability. All assignments were manageable with clear expectations. She was very kind and wanted us all to succeed.
I have no idea why Dr. Adeyanju doesn't have 5 stars from everyone. There is no cumulative final, no quizzes, no need to buy the textbook, and next to no homework. There is also a general study guide provided for each exam. Dr. Adeyanju is the kindest professor I have met at UNC and genuinely wants her students to enjoy learning. She's the best!
My experience taking Dr. A's class is generally positive. There are no cumulative tests, you are only ever tested on info that is presented in class, you are given a study guide before each test that gives you a clear idea of what to know, there is not a lot of tedious and time-consuming homework. I would say it's a very good intro level class.
she's quite annoying when in lecture, but when I'm not in lecture she isn't anymore. not super accessible and doesn't have a lot of useful information when asked about certain perimeters of her class. repeats herself A LOT. She's nice just not the teacher i would have taken for this class which itself is actually interesting.
Don't know why score is so low for my experience was great. Self-paced Async class with clear grading criteria. Professor is hands off but available via email or office hours if you need help. It is up to you how much to learn from this course.
I really enjoyed taking this class this semester. Prof Adeyanju was very accommodating and understanding. This class was async and the material was very clear. This was a great intro class and not very time consuming. I would definitely recommend taking this class with her.
DO NOT take her for just psych 101. made it so much more difficult than it needed to be. her classes were all over the place, her exams were so weirdly specific when the study guide she gave us was incredibly broad. she's nice but just not a good teacher. she doesn't even make her own exams lol
Dr. A was awesome and truly one of the sweetest professors there are. She encouraged questions, was accessible, and really wanted us to succeed - even managing to help make the large lecture feel like a small group meeting. My only complaint is that one exam was oddly specific and all of the questions were confusing scenarios, but take her class!
Professor A is a sweet and kind woman who wants everyone to succeed. There are 2 tests and a final that are relatively straight forward and involves complete memorization. You also have to write 2 research critiques that are extremely easy. My only complaint is her lectures are so boring and she repeats everything she says so many times.
PSYC101 async is an absolute piece of cake, highly recommended if you need the credit. If you actually want to learn the material though, I would suggest taking it in-person. But the async class has clear guidelines on what she expects and how to do well; stay on top of the work that takes about 45min a week and you'll ace the class.
The class consists of a new topic each week. Each week you were expected to read a chapter from the textbook participate in a class discussion forum and take a quiz. There are also two exams and two papers due before the end of the class. Everything was super easy and manageable though.
Dr. A was a great professor for PSYC101! Her tests were straight from the lecture and super easy and you don't have to go to class because she posts her class outlines and a study guide created right from the test. The tests are not cumulative. There are 2 papers that can be finished in 1-2 hours and weekly forum posts that take no time at all.
Dr A is an amazing prof! I would definitely recommend taking her over the summer. The classes are smaller so there is definitely more interaction and feedback when it is due. She highly encourages participation, and tests are based on study guides with outlines to help you! There class has 2 midterms, final, forums, + participation pool. 10/10!
One of my favorite classes so far at UNC! The prof had outlines and followed the textbook closely so you dont have to read unless you miss class. It was def a lot better over summer with a smaller class and the exams were v much lecture based. The prof was also v approachable and clear about what she wanted in papers and on exams - amazing
Dr A is very caring and class is pretty straightforward in my opinion. Write notes during lectures and tests will come naturally.
The only reason people are complaining is bc like 1/3 of the class doesn't show up so they think the test is hard bc its entirely based on lecture and you will miss the details if you don't show up. 3 short forum posts/week (
Professor Adeyanju was seriously the best ever! She makes it very clear what youneed to know for exams and gives you study guides. Attendence isn't mandatory but you will need to get the notes to study. She is so sweet and the class is literally just forums like every two week, 2 papers (super easy), and exams.
Lectures are technically not mandatory, but all the questions on the test come from the lecture and the "outlines" she posts online for if you miss class don't include all the necessary materials. As long as you show up to lecture, everything else is easy. Lots of writing and an easy A.
Dr.Adeyanju is an amazing professor. Her lectures are great and often lets you out of class early. Attendance isn't mandatory but you need the notes to study for the exams. The only things you are graded on are forum posts, which are super easy, two papers, also very easy, and a few exams. She even gives you the short answer prompts beforehand.
This class is entirely lecture-based. Most of Dr. Adeyanju's lectures were interesting but others were a bit boring. The only assigned homework is contributing to class discussion forums. The exams are relatively easy if you attend the lectures and take notes. She also provides outlines for each lecture and study guides for all exams.
I loved this course. Dr. A was super accommodating and straightforward with lectures/assignments. I enjoyed the content as well. There were weekly discussion forums with two drops, 3 papers, 2 exams, and the final. Everything was graded fairly and rather leniently. Great course overall!
Dr. Adeyanju was the kindest professor. She will explain content well, others believe it is repetitive, but I think she is just trying to help people. There were 2 response papers that were graded leniently (just pay attention to format), 2 exams (lecture based), the final (NOT cumulative), and three easy discussion posts once a week.
Dr. A was a fantastic professor. Go to class, takes notes, and participate in the discussion posts. Three straightforward exams, 12 discussion posts, two 2-page thought papers, and an 8-10-page final paper. Dr. A is clear about what she expects and genuinely wants all her students to exceed. She is kind and understanding. Take a class with her!
Does not require a lot of out-of-class work. Exams are straight forward if you study. Papers and discussions graded fairly easily.
This class should have been easy but was made terrible by her trick question quizzes that make up 40% and assigned group project for 50%. Her lectures were simple and slow, yet the questions she used to test us were far more complicated. She made the group project very unclear and often had to give us answers because the whole class was confused.
Group project was very confusing. Deadlines too close to one another. Confusing in expectations. Appears to be sweet, but when receives criticism, she blames her students. Got a bad grade on a quiz? Sorry, your grade will be greatly affected. Do not take her if you care about GPA and your mental health.
She's so annoying-- absolutely cannot stand her personality. I currently have an A in the class but honestly idk how things will pan out once she inputs the group paper (worst assignment I've ever done in my life). Don't take PSYC270 with her unless you want to lose braincells during lectures. Not as easy of an A as I expected. TAs are helpful.
DO NOT TAKE HER: Dull lectures, irrelevant material, and a dismissive professor. Unresponsive TAs compound the issue. Delayed grading and tricky quizzes add to the ordeal. Learning quality suffers significantly. This class is historically easy but she has made it beyond confusing, difficult, and unfair for no reason at all. Not a good person either!
Most confusing class I have ever taken. The class seems easy until the quiz and a few papers that we have. Instructions are very unclear about the paper and are graded harshly by the TAs. I cannot stand this woman!
How can she say she cares about us and our mental health and make us suffer through her confusing class and unclear grades? Some TAs are helpful and give great feedback, some TAs give the vibe of not wanting to listen to what we have to say. She always emphasizes how easy the quizzes are but tricks us with the most confusing wording questions.
She's a very sweet person and clearly understands the material, but she's very unclear. She asked the class to raise our hands if we felt confident about our paper two days before it was due and nobody raised their hands which surprised her. The quizzes seem straightforward, but the questions are worded oddly. Don't take this class with her!
Do not take this class with this professor! She seems like she cares but rolled her eyes in class whenever someone asked questions about the confusing group project thats so unclear and so unorganized. My GPA is going to tank because I did bad on one quiz. Group project is 50% of our grade. Can't wait to give her a bad class evaluation!
She brought constant confusion due to changing instructions, inadequate support for group projects, and unclear guidance from instructors. Inconsistencies in grading, delayed responses, and contradictory information amplified stress and left students feeling lost and undervalued. Constantly rolled her eyes after questions were asked.
I think Prof. Adeyanju was simply made to teach another course. She is so caring, and she tries to meet students where they are. The quizzes were surprisingly difficult towards the end, but they were not so difficult that it made me think she was trying to trick us. There was just some odd wording on the questions -- beware. She is kind and smart!
I would not go as far as to say she is an awful person; after all, this semester was challenging for everyone, considering external factors. She was kind and allowed extra time for many things. You are graded by a few things; your grade mainly consists of four quizzes and the aspects of the group project. Dr. A is extremely sweet and does care!
I don't know what people in this class are on, but she was amazing! She is so sweet and tries her best to help everyone! She legit goes over what is on the quiz and tells you every question breakdown. I get the projects can be confusing but she tries her best to help you through it, and it's not graded that harshly! TAKE HER! Extra credit too!!!
She's great. It's super easy to make an A. You don't have to go to lecture if you read the textbook, and she rarely takes attendance. There are four quizzes which are very simple. The group project was the only hard thing about this class. It was very confusing and the TAs knew nothing about it, however, they grade easily on it.
This class is an easy A with four quizzes (20 multiple choice each) and a final paper. Professor Adeyanju reviews all quizzes beforehand, but the paper was a bit confusing. The TA's didn't seem to know anything about the paper, but grade easily so it's not too bad. I just wish the paper was formatted better and there was more support available.
Very conflicted ab her, seems like a good professor for other classes and is nice but didn't teach the material in this one well. Quizzes were easy, went over all of them before, but the paper was confusing and my group only did well because we asked A LOT of questions and were in 210 w Harrison. She seemed kinda annoyed with questions, sometimes.
I had some extenuating circumstances during the school year, and this professor was challenging to work with. Email exchanges I had with TAs and the professor were incredibly unprofessional and frustrating to communicate with. I ended up practically giving up on the class as it was clear she had no intention of working with me to solve any issue.
An amazing professor; please do not listen to the rates where they give her a 1. Her instructions are very straightforward, and TAs are easy graders. Understand that this may be your first time writing an APA paper. I would recommend taking Psych 210 before this class. Overall, it was an easy class, with no homework, an APA paper, and quizzes only.
Incredibly inadequate professor. She strove to make assignment instructions as confusing and contradictory as possible. She expected us do things she had not taught us. She was also rude and demeaning about students having trouble. Seems sweet out of class, but a terrible prof who refused to take any responsibility for the state of her class.
seems sweet as a person but as a prof has this underlying rude attitude when faced with students who are having trouble. it's weird bc a LOT of us had trouble-her assignments were so confusing/poorly written. i can't tell you how many times she went on about how 'easy' things were & then all of us would be muttering & rolling our eyes in disbelief
My favorite professor so far at UNC! Explains in detail and makes everything easy to understand. As long as you show up to class you should be fine! I got a B because I started getting lazy and stopped going to class so don't be like me and you should do fantastic.
The amount of issues I have had with this class is unacceptable. She was never clear with her instructions for the final paper and constantly changed things around. When she was asked a question she would roll her eyes and was rude towards her students. TA weren't that helpful because they were not told anything. Take Dr. Harrison of this class.
Known to be an easy A class w/ others. She was sweet and prepared us in advance by giving us many questions for the quizzes. Missed 1 quiz and was given a 0 and not allowed to make it up. The paper was an entirely different story with unclear instructions and bad communication amongst TA's. . Really recommend taking with a different prof!
Was very unclear about all instructions for the big research paper and during class she lectures very quickly while making mistakes then her explanations were not clear and would confuse her students a lot more. I was only able to succeed because I had taken psyc 210 and various stats classes.
Claimed her quizzes were easy but the whole class disagrees and was told she will be making them more difficult for her future sections. The wording of the quizzes would not be anything similar to what is said in class. Attendance checks would be very unclear until the end of the semester. Would highly recommend to take with another professor!
Although this class was a little discombobulated, I think she did a great job narrowing down the important concepts. Very caring overall. If you are having trouble, just talk to her. She basically gives answers on tests, but did say she will be making them harder in the future.
Coursework was a replication study paper that was difficult due to lack of instruction. Course content and her slides were directly copied from textbook- not sure why everyone is acting like the quizzes were hard. Just read those 15 pages. I think Dr. A was just unprepared. Our class was supposed to be async but I think she subbed in last minute.
This class was very disorganized, and there was a lack of instruction from both Dr. A and the TAs for the final paper (majority of grade). Despite this, I would definitely disagree with the 1 ratings on here. The class was fairly easy and you can definitely do well. She did say quizzes will be made harder, and attendance was taken spontaneously.
Adeyanju has been my favorite lecturer so far as she has seamlessly incorporated lectures with class participation. She repeats what she says to make sure you get what she is saying written down. She also has slides that go along with what she is saying but also explains in detail when necessary.
I did not think this class was difficult, as Dr. A made the quizzes fairly straightforward (in my opinion). The paper was a little stressful, as it felt like there was not always clear direction/grading criteria, but I thought that IAs graded pretty easily. I did feel that the class was disorganized and did not enjoy it, but it wasn't difficult.
This class was tough, but Dr. A was a solid lecturer. I did not do what was necessary in order to be as successful as possible in this class, so I paid the price on my grade. Do the readings, attend class, and start your response papers in advance if you want to get an A in her class. Exams are hard if you do not study enough.
The class was very chaotic and unorganized. No one really knew what they were doing for the papers. Take the other psych 270 professor
Loved having Dr. A for this class! The research paper might be daunting, but you have the entire semester to do it (half of it is done in a group); 4 easy non-cumulative quizzes (she goes over exactly what will be on it). One thing I wish she did was post the lecture slides/detailed info on Sakai after each class, I learn a lot better that way.
The course content isn't difficult and the grading wasn't too tough, but Dr. Adeyanju is extremely unorganized and inflexible. She basically read off of her powerpoints and was then shocked when no one understood anything. She often let us leave class early though which is a plus.
Professor Adeyanju is a lovely professor, I would most definitely take this class again.
Her lecture maybe disorganized, but as long as you read the textbook you'll be fine (I sleet for merely all classes). Have a big paper but have a whole semester to work on it. If you want an easy A course and don't care about disorganized lectures, take her.
The most unempathetic, disorganized, and passive-aggressive instructor I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. Appears indifferent to students; lacks consideration for those PAYING to be there. The class is fine, but her nasty personality contrasts with the whole point in being a professor: to help, teach, and nurture students.
Passive aggressive and rude
She was an average professor. I will give it to her though, she lays out all of the info/material on the quizzes before you take them, so it's kind of an easy A. The group project was rough - no one knew what they were doing. My group sucked but if you follow the rubric clearly, you will get a good grade at the end (the final paper is on your own).
270 is a straightforward class and if you do what's required you should be fine, but she wasn't a great professor. Reads straight from slides, can be rude about grading or participation (not very flexible), overall pretty ignorant. Entire class grade /100 points, which gives little room for error if you want an A. Surprised us at end with EC tho.
She gives EC secretively which is not appreciated. this is not really the hardest psych class, it just is a bunch of busy work and she expects you to know how to do full statistical analysis like a pro. Ndidi is SUPER condescending. So yes, maybe I clowned her this whole class.
10 Forum grades, 2 response paper, 3 exams in the gradebook. Lectures are interesting, and she truly cares about her students. Exams based on lectures, lecture outlines posted to class website. Take her!
Sometimes Adeyanju's tone can be condescending, but I don't think she means to be. This class is a lecture hall, so I didn't get to know her well, but she seems nice enough. She gives a LOT of info on the quizzes beforehand and the only confusing part was the paper at points, but if you ask the TAs for help it'll be easier
Dr. Adeyanju seems like a great person, but she was just very unorganized and could sometimes come off as condescending when teaching. But the class isn't that hard as long as you read the textbook. The group project is annoying and confusing, but in my experience it wasn't graded too harshly.
Decent person but lazy and frustrating prof. I will never take her again. Lecture content was easy but mind-numbing. Everything was disorganized and your grade will 100% suffer from the awful group work. My group was never held accountable for their lack of effort. Off-putting and condescending TA graded very harshly. Take the other prof for 270.
I have never had a less organized professor. Her expectations were never clear, her IAs and ULAs didn't know any better than us what was going on. The whole semester you work on a group research project. She will announce important information for this project in class but never put it in to writing or otherwise communicate. Save yourself.
For 270- it is basically structured as 4 quizzes (based on textbook/lectures), and 4 sections of one research paper. Basically intro/lit analysis, measures, conclusion, analysis. This class has a lot of downtime and you can have a bunch of absences. Take it in spring, she has a good 2 weeks where you don't have to go in unless you have questions!
Adeyanju seems like a nice person, and the class is relatively easy, but keep in mind that her grading criteria and expectations are pretty unclear. You will also need to have some background stats knowledge for the paper. You mostly work with group members on one big paper. 4 quizzes based on textbook and class lectures
couldn't get more straight-forward. what is said in lecture is what is on the exams. no tricks. stopped reading textbook halfway through semester, because lecture is mostly her reading the definitions of terms from textbook. she is engaging as a lecturer.
This is an easy class that she makes impossibly hard for no reason. She's passive aggressive and rude, and is no help when you don't understand her extremely confusing directions. Her lectures are mind-numbing and she basically just reads content from the textbook, the TA's also grade harshly and aren't helpful. 101 was good but no more Ndidi.
Calm course. Positive experience.
Lecture "outlines" and slides aren't super informative, so LISTEN during class. 3 short quizzes over the semester, final exam is 4th quiz. Study and you'll do fine. Semester-long group project/paper, keep up with due dates and don't be afraid to ask the TAs questions. Pretty boring class (everything seems like common sense) but easy to do well in!
Gives extra credit at end of semester and has weekly homework grades. Attendance optional, but all of the class information is given in class and not provided online. Her lectures are amazing and she is so sweet. Highly recommend taking this class.
Each test comes with a study guide that lets you know exactly which topics will be on it. The papers are graded harshly when it comes to following APA format so pay attention to that criteria. Lectures are not needed, but I strongly recommend going since that means you probably won't need to read the textbook for the class.
She is extremely disorganized, and there is a massive lack of communication between the TAs and her. In most lectures, she just reads out of PowerPoint. I found no value in taking this class. Also, anything you discuss with her, please do yourself a favor and follow up with an email so you have a paper trail. 0/10 would not recommend her.
Dr. A is great, really failed myself this semester, but TA grading papers can create some vary. She posts lecture outlines after class, so not full PPTs, but can be useful. Attendance is not mandatory, but recommend going. 2 Papers, 10 Total Discussion Pages, 3 exams, first exam only worth 15%, others are 20. Easy class if you do HW and papers.
The class itself wasn't too hard but there are definitely better teachers to teach 270. Most of the grade depends on a group paper.
I took Dr. A last semester. The course lectures were fine, but I learned more from the textbook.Tthe rubric criteria for the group projects weren't very clear. Most of your grade depends on the final group paper, so make sure EVERYONE'S segments look good (I didn't do this and my grade suffered). The material itself is pretty easy, though.
She was perfect for 101, the tests were very straight forward and she sets you up for success, especially if you go to class. The study guides ensure there are no surprises on the tests. The papers are super short and discussion posts for homework are easy. I could not recommend her for this class enough! Super caring professor.
She's amazing and kind and she's extremely helpful when we don't understand something I loved her as a teacher
She's a kind and extraordinary and she always looks out for and helps her students. She was the best teacher ever. If I had the chance I'd take it over and over again even though I didn't get credit for it. I really want to thank her for how she taught me.
Mrs. A was an amazing teacher, even though the class that I was taking was supposed to be hard she made it very very very very easy for me. She is a great professor and I would most definitely take this class again.
Grade consisted of 10 forum discussions (lowest 2 are dropped), 2 papers, and 3 non-cumulative exams. Attendance is not mandatory; however, exams are based mostly on lecture content. Pretty simple class overall and Dr Adeyanju was a great teacher. If you go to class, you do not need to read the textbook. Overall a very enjoyable class!
The class has a decent workload, but with help from Unstuckstudy and engaging with the material, it's manageable. Lectures can be dry, but attending helps break down concepts. Definitely keep on top of the group project deadlines.
Dr. A was one of the better teachers I had. She's absolutely amazing when it comes to lectures and makes everything understandable and clear. I would definitely recommend taking her class for PSYC101. While slightly on the boring side, it was definitely free and an easy A+.
