Ms. Turner is a nice, young teacher. She has a very liberal class and she likes interaction and class participation. She does extra credit and one of her assignments is a oral paper that is due in her class. Her test are not hard, I would recommend you read and study -she does a review, but her questions are sometimes tricky.

This teacher is very cool specially if you are on time in her class and dont miss class. Her test are really easy and she always give you a good reviews before the test.If you really want to learn you should take this teacher.he is very accesible and gives you extra credit for taking articles and read them in class.

Great teacher. Take down all her notes and you will A'ed the class. She review before the test or exams. If you have all the notes you have nothing to worry about.

Her exams are hard. Make sure when you take the exams you really read your text books and knows how to use google. Discussion are pretty easy and she gives full credit on every post. She response to emails. The last extra credit is only discussion.

PROFESSOR TURNER IS VERY INFORMATIVE WITHIN THE CLASSROOMS AS YOU COVER EACH SECTION OF THE LESSONS. PROFESSOR TURNER IS FAIR AND WILL RESPOND TO YOUR EMAILS RATHER QUICKLY FOR ANT ISSUES. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANY OTHER STUDENT.

READ YOUR CHAPTER AND TAKE GOOD NOTES,TEST ARE ONLY 75 MINUTES LONG AND THERE ARE NO RE DO'S BUT SHE DOES OFFER EXTRA CREDIT THRU OUT THE COURSE.

Just make sure you do every assignment on time and submit it by the given time, and you will be fine. Don't forget to purchase the book, okay?

I honestly dont know how I made an A. Professor Turner is very helpful and nice. If you have any questions she will answer them asap. I took the online class and it was okay. Tests were extremely hard though I failed 2/3. READ THE TEXTBOOK AND KNOW THE TEXTBOOK.9 discussions and 10 points for extra credit in the end. Super easy but tests = hard

Ms. Turner was a great professor. Your opinion is heard in her classroom and she is very interested of it. Her tests can become difficult but as long as you study lightly you'll pass. I really dislike Government and still managed to pass this class. I highly recommend it!

He was nice, but the class is tough. I made a C though because I did not put my best into it and because this is one of my worst subjects. He is a good teacher, you just have to read a lot and study hard to pass.

I took this class online twice for Govt 2305 & 2306 and both semesters were great. He responds quick to emails and answers any question. As long as you do all the discussions and the rest of the work you'll get an A. Assignments are not hard at all. Worth taking the class. :D

I took her online. She is an easy professor, no essays, forum participation required. Test are not that easy only if you don't study. I don't like Government but still passed with a B+

Took govt 2306 online and make a B. I could have made an easy A, but that was totally my fault. The online course was well organized and easy to follow.

Professor Turner's government class was a breeze, summer course consisted of discussions and two quizzes. I plan on taking Professor Turner's Federal government class for the Fall. Very organized online class!!

I took this class during the summer, it's pretty simple. Do the discussion assigned as posted and cite your sources. As well as study the PowerPoint notes and you will pass.

I took Turner's online class, so all quizzes were online. You will have to interact in several discussions, but they are short. As long as you show that you are putting in the effort to discuss with your peers, you'll be fine. Easy A

The class consisted of 12 discussion boards based on articles about political affairs and four tests of 55 questions each. The professor uploaded powerpoints and chapter summaries to go along with the textbook reading, but the tests are not difficult. Grades were posted for each unit within 3 days after each test date.

Took GOVT2306 in the summer and GOVT2305 this past fall. His discussions and exam's were very easy to get a good grade on. Follow his grading rubric and you will be fine. Last semester was difficult to complete because my father was in the hospital and then passed in Dec and he was so kind to reopen assignments and exams for me to complete.

I loooove Prof. Turner took him for both 2305 and 2306 and I'm glad that I did!!! Make sure that you do your discussions and research the articles used. Also, if taking online make sure you LOG IN DAILY!!!

I took her for Texas Government online in the summer semester. There was 6 discussions (must use APA or MLA format for citations) on current events that was related to our textbook chapters. Her test (2) were VERY HARD and not on overall concepts. The questions were detalled from our textbook and lecture slides. 55 MC questions. No final exam!

5 week online. 6 discussions with chance for extra credit. 2 exams 55 mc questions. no final. exams are a little tough. discussions are easy if you put in a little effort. had to read about 8 chapters for the class. buy the book on amazon then return it to get your money back.

Took her class for 8weeks fall online. Her syllabus and what she requires from us is pretty straight forward. We had 9 discussions and 3 tests. The discussions were kind easy but pretty interesting. Her tests were 55 questions. 75 minutes. You can pass with maybe like a 75 on the tests by just going over the PP, but i suggest reading the book too.

I took the 8-week online course. Grades were for discussions and replying to classmates. Was the easiest govt. class i've had thus far. I wish I wouldve had this prof for 2305! Was flexible with letting me edit my post when I received a low grade. Prof lets you know why you received a low grade and what you can do to change it! Cares about the you!

So this is professor is really Nice I was a little disappointed I didn't get an A I think I was like one point away.. her discussions are simple the class is lay back but her exams are a little hard. make sure u study the power points and read the book chapters

This is by far one of the best and easiest classes I have ever taken at HCC. I took this during the 5-week summer session online and our only assignments were six discussions over current events and 2 multiple choice exams. NO FINAL! We got reviews for tests and if you study that you will definitely pass with an A.

She is amazing! She uses an online book that is free. Her course consists of discussions (that require you to research articles & cite) and exams (she provides reviews). She sends weekly messages & Does her own research & participates in the discussions.

Never have I had a professor quite like Prof Turner. She is by far the most caring teacher I've ever had. Seriously a real gem! I wish all my classes were taught by her. Took online and she only had 9 super interesting discussion topics and 3 quizzes. Overall it's an easy A! She also provides you with an online textbook. Stop reading and take her!!

She gives 3 discussions, one exam and you have 2 weeks to finish them. She doesn't give a lot of essays and answer emails pretty fast. The only problem I had was the chapters she would post had nothing to do with the exams which were pretty confusing but honestly, she gives two attempts and 60 min so more than enough to get an A- at least.

I cannot say enough good things about Professor Turner. She is extremely understanding and is willing to work with you as long as you communicate with her. There are 9 discussions which can be lengthy, but extremely interesting. If I can find her for my other GOVT courses, I'm 100% retaking her again. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TAKE HER CLASS!

Do yourself and your GPA a favor and take her class. The class is mostly weighed by discussion posts, which as long as you write your opinion and cite your sources, you get a 100. The Exam come straight from the reviews she post. Easiest A I ever received. She's also a very compassionate person and cares about her students which is a plus!

This class includes a lot of research, but she helps with that. Most of the work is only discussions and three exams. Extra credit if you respond to a peer's discussion. She is very understanding and continuously checks up on how you're doing.

NGL I took an 8 week course, and there was a bunch of discussions, but none were un-manageable. You do not really need to read the information she provides, Just do the work in order to write in discussions. They are all realated to present day issues, therefore it makes you think critically!

I enjoyed this class, and it is one of my all-time favorites! You will have several discussions on current issues. If you are not a strong writer, this course is not for you, but if you can write, this is your class!

Someone complained over 300 word assignments? She's sweet and only gives 3 assignments every 2 weeks with an exam of 200 words. MLA format is easy when you use her own cited readings. It felt like an actual college course, I liked that. If you're serious about transferring, you'll thank her later. Don't let other easy classes set you up for failure

Professor Turner is the Best Professor I have had on my journey at Hcc. She has a great teaching technique. I took her for Goverment 2306 Texas and I do not like politics at all. I learned so much in her class. It was for a 5 week summer course and now I feel like I am an expert at politics. She checks on you and she cares about her students.

If you want to learn about the important aspects of the government, this is your teacher. You will leave this class more empowered and engaged in what is going on around you. The assignments are simple, and the criteria is very clear. The way she teaches is EYE OPENING and thought provoking.

I took the online anytime, 5-week summer course for Gov't 2306. I had a family death during this course and fell off from my work. I went from an F to an A because she understands that we're human and so is she. She gave me multiple chances and helped me push through. With weekly check ins and constant encouragement. This women is a God sent.

Professor Turner is the best!! You can tell that she really cares about her students success! In this class, you will learn about how the federal and texas government influences elections,justice systems, and voting. Very inspiring course and easy A if you do the work according to rubic.Also, a lot of extra credit available. 10 stars!!

Yoo this by far the best professor i have taken, i am glad I took her even though rating does matter but those poor rating has to be bots/caps because there is no wayyyy you can not pass her class without doing the work.

Such a great professor. Feedback was provided for all of my assignments and discussions. She constantly checks in on the students and is positively encouraging. Some assignments may seem daunting, but the instructions are very clear, and examples of the work that is expected are always provided. Extra credit opportunities were available.

Be prepared to read and/or view videos, discussion questions 8-12, 3-Exams, she requires for you to cite all of your assignments. But she provides a lot of link information that can be used.

I took Professor Turner's 3 week mini class in summer 2024 so it was short and demanding. However, she is very considerate and ready to work with you, all you need to do is put in the extra effort and meet her half way. It was a difficult 3 week but very enlightening. I will take her class again anytime.

This professor holds a special place in my heart because she is one of two professors in my time at hcc that I felt actually cared , and didn't add to making our lives harder. The course is a little work , but she is more than willing to help you however she can. This type of instructor is so rare I thought it definitely deserved a rating.
