Forget all other teachers. This one is the best. He actually tells you what you do wrong, and lets you correct the problem. I learned a lot from him and wish he taught more classes.

He was a great techer! I highly recommend him (and I'm not lieing). He shows an interest in what he foes and shows an interest into what you do. Even though he has his good and bad jokes, they are still funny and makes the time go by so much faster.

Ned is a great guy.He's a true southern gentleman and extremely fair man.He had very interesting and helpful comments for my book in CRW.CRW has A LOT of writing but that is to be expected in a writing class.Most of CRW was discussing each student's work.Very open minded and accepting of others.

I have him for Comp. 1--very good teacher. One of the only classes that I never actually wanted to miss because of the fun we had. I definitly recommend him. He's sort of hard--but extremely fair!

Mr. Johnson is one of those teachers you will alwats remebmer. His teaching style doesn't even seem like teaching at all. It is all back door learning. If you turn your papers in when they are due you will always get a chance to rewrite it for up to 10 points more. He will allow make ups as long as you keep him in the fold and donmake it habit.

He is definitely a memorable teacher. I took his comp 2 class in 2001, and to this day I think about him telling me "I before E except after C" everytime I write the word "receive." He made learning fun, for what would otherwise have been a very boring class.

Mr. Johnson is one of my favorite teachers on campus now. He has a great sense of humor, and does an excellant Mark Twain impression. If you turn in his papers on time, he lets you retype any mistakes for extra points on the paper. For a comp 2 class, he is really easy going and loves his work. If you take his class, you'll get an A.

This is my favorite teacher for an Comp class. I wished I had him for Comp 1. He is very helpful and funny. He does an awesome impression of Mark Twain. His projects are fun to do. He also lets you redo your papers ONLY if you turn the paper in on time. I really reccomded Mr. Johnson for Comp 1 AND Comp 2. Awesome teacher.

He has been formost the greatest instructor I've had in the four years that I've been attending SPC. I wish there was another class that I could take with him. He is very helpful and gives you a second chance to improve your grade. Mr. J also has a sense of humor that makes the class a lot more fun than you would expect. Definitely a must take!!!!!

Okay seriously he is the best. idc what the other reviews say this is the honest truth. you have to TRY not to pass this class.. it is soo easy. there is a lot of papers to write but they are soo short and soo easy, he even lets you do them over if you dont like your grade! Mr. J is an awesome instructor - he understands that life happens, and is the most undertanding out of all the professors I have met. Awesome class, wish I could take him again! You need to work and pay attention in his class in order to get a good grade.

Mr. Johnson is a nice guy, but his sense of humor can be a little uncomfortable. He does care about his students, and is easy to get an "A" from. Don't expect to be too challenged, but he does love teaching and allows rewrites on everything. He hates tardiness, so be careful with that. Otherwise, you'll be fine.

Mr. Johnson is soo nice! Going to his class was actually fun and time went by fast. Only one research paper due and other little assignments, but nothing HUGE though. Easy A.

First off, I already love writing. It's what I plan to do with my life. But even if you hate it, Mr. Johnson is the man to take for you prerequisite comp classes. He's funny, insightful, thought-provoking...I looked forward to his class, and he assigns easy papers. Warning: If you take him for Comp2, be prepared to make a movie.

This guy is awesome. It's never a dull moment in his class. The Kentucky native is very proud of where he comes from. He also enjoys his bourbon. If you complete the assignments on time and show some class participation, there isn't any reason why you would get anything less than a B. Even if you suck at writing, he lets you rewrite everything!

amazing teacher. very smart and funny. he's able to teach both to the lit lovers and to people who never read. dont be late and if you make an effort he will help you out. seriously thinking about major in lit because of this teacher. he understands stuff happens and will work with you, but be warned, he sees through the bull.

Mr. Johnson's class is soo easy. He makes class interesting and assignments fun. He has a strange sense of humor and Mark Twain is his alter ego (you'd have to take his class to understand that one), but he's very understanding and helpful. He always allows rewrites. Okay I got a C in this class because I handed everything in late and missed classes etc, DON'T DO THAT. Take this teacher. His class is one of those classes you will actually look forward to going to. Assignments are interesting and most topics assigned for papers are broad so you are only limited by your creativity. Oh and don't take comp 2 online

So you decided you're taking him, right? Here are some guidelines 1. Don't be late. 2. IF you hand in your work on time you get a re-write (which means a re-grade)(use this to your advantage). 3. If you actually pay for your own books get a used one because you only use the book for the first couple weeks of class. 4. Just Take him!

good teacher. great teacher. willing to give you all the time in a day. hes a funny guy with a good attitude. i took him over the summer so he said we didnt get to experience the "full" him. but i would take him again if i had to with out a doubt. i wouldnt waste your money on the book because we used it like twice. borrow a friends.

Johnson was an awesome professor. Took him this semester for Creative Writing. He's funny, his mind is in the gutter, he keeps everything interesting and is not a hardass - unless you're late or text during class. He would always say he's not "teaching", he's "facilitating". Only downside was his hard emphasis on the letter 'k''.

I took Mr. Johnson for both AML 2020 and ENC 1102 at the same time and it was a lot of work! I enjoyed every minute of it! He is by far the most amazing teacher, I even changed my major because of him! If you can, take his class!!!

Easy teacher. Show up, do your work and skim the highlights of the ch's he rarely assigns and you'll ace the 5 ? quizes. However, he seems to have difficulty treating students with respect, telling them to "shut up" and cursing them out vigorously. He pretends to care and want you to challege him, but it's just an act! Be ready to defend yourself.

He's very funny, loves to to joke around. Very insteresting class to go too. He is not a hard teacher gives you rewrites on papers. Journals and quizes are easy. Very good teacher . i would take him again!

Mr. Johnson is by far the best teacher i have ever had. He is absolutely hilarious and his class is cake. He gives rewrites on all the essays, does fun activities, once in a while he'll do a pop quiz but it's 5 questions on exactly what he just talked about. Definetely taking him for Comp II!

He is one of my favorite professors. He makes the class fun. Jokes around alot. Gives you rewrites on your essays where you can earn up to 10 extra points, plus the topics of the essays are usually what's in your best intrest. His pop quizes were piece of cake if you listened to the lecture he was giving. The final was an in class essay.

Mr. Johnson is a great teacher to have. He explains the assignments, answers questions, replies back to emails right away, makes the class interesting, and if you like Jeff Foxworthy he kinda sounds like him too. Still, in my opinion I suggest taking this professor.

THE BEST! Very easy and learn a lot. Learn MLA before this class! He claims you'll use the text a lot, but just in the begining. Get a hard copy, not an online thing. Be prepared to write down daily "quote of the days" you'll need them eventually! He doesn't do attendance, but don't walk in late, just ask a friend what happened!

Johnson is awesome! Class is fairly easy- You will have to work but it's not hard and if you don't get an A or B you are just lazy. You even get rewrites on everything except Lit Crit #2. Take this class, you will have a lot of fun and learn a lot. The final is a drama project which actually turned out to be a lot of fun.

I wish Mr. Johnson taught every course at SPC!!! I took hime for comp 1 and 2, and even though I do not like writing, he made comp one of my favorite classes. He allows rewrites for ever single paper, allowing up to 10 points added if you fix all the mistakes he has marked. Put effort in and you will pass with flying colors, and love every minute!

Mr. Johnson is the best teacher I've had at SPC. He's funny and really talks to students. There aren't many tests but if he gives a PowerPoint lecture, expect a quiz the next class. He doesn't believe in textbooks because he knows you can find all the stories you need online. Don't get on his bad side though, you'll regret it.

I took him for Comp 1 and it was so easy! Almost a blowoff class. You get to redo all the papers for up to 10 points extra. He is so funny. Pretty much you sit and listen to him tell funny stories the whole time. I didnt learn too much though. Went over some basic grammer stuff. He didn't teach much. It was still a really fun class with fun essays

Such a fun teacher! He makes everything clear and easy to understand. Basically if you go to class and write your essays well, you'll pass. There's a few quizzes and only 2 tests and they're all easy if you study the material. There's about 5 essays but nothing big, 500 words max. Mr. Johnson is hilarious :)

The best teacher at SPC. Not only a great teacher, but a great person. He is extremely funny. There are some little quizzes here and there, and a ton of essays. If you hate writing, this isn't the class for you. As long as you show up and do your work; this class is an easy A.

Mr. Ned is a kindhearted, and witty professor. He tells too many stories, and I would have preferred more academic info. He is always available to help out though, and grades everyone based on their individual capacities. His quizzes are way too easy, and if you are present in class, it is an easy B; if you do the assignments, you can get an A.

Professor Johnson is great and such a fun teacher! Tells you before each assignment how he will be grading it. Not too tough of a grader, will let you turn in a rewrite within a week of him returning your paper. Easy quizzes, just read and go over what he tells you to.

Wonderful and hilarious professor. Makes CompII enjoyable and educational. You will have sporadic short homework assignments, an author project, and a 2,000 word literary criticism paper. Professor Johnson is a very respectable professor. He has a way with words that keeps the atmosphere light while also maintaining order of his class. His assignments aren't grueling, redundant, or tedious, and he generally will allow the papers you turn in to fall below the word benchmark as long as the content is good. (if only mine was...)

Mr Johnson was amazing. Always there for the students and very flexible with due dates and extra credit. His lectures don't even feel like lectures! My writing had definitely benefited from his class. He does care about attendance but if something comes up, he is understanding. Even going out of town; just let him know and he will work with you!

I took him for journalism and American Lit and loved them both! He made homework fun and it never really felt like work to me! If you have the chance TAKE HIM!

Easy class once you get the hang of it. Super easy grader which I needed to pass, thankful he worked with me to make sure I am passing his class.

Talks too much about his hometown in Kentucky, but overall a good instructor. All the assignments are easy and each one gets easier down the line. He has strict standards of when assignments should be handed in on time. If not he will not accept them. I wish this class could be taught at the Clearwater campus.

Mr. Johnson is a very relaxed teacher. There isn't a lot of work but each class is a lot of fun. He will work with you to make sure you pass as long as you try. He is very kind and understanding. Very easy class to pass. If you want an easy A, take him.

Not that bad of a class. At first it was at a different campus which I didn't adjust to until a month in as well with the class. However, Professor Johnson made sure I learned the material and wrote well for the class. The broadcasting assignments were better than the others. He let's you write whatever you want. This was a great class.

I took his ENC1101 and ENC1102 class and that is enough for me. Great teacher but hearing the same jokes everyday gets annoying.

Coming into this class, I had no idea what to expect. He is definitely different and not the average teacher, but in a good way. He makes a solid effort to help the students and genuinely cares about each of them. He is hilarious and loves to make jokes even when no one laughs at them. His jokes keep us interested and lighten the mood.

This class was by far my favorite english class I've ever taken. He was very funny yet stern in the classroom. I always looked forward to going to his class. He gives great feedback on your essays, so you can do better on the next one. I enjoy the freedom he allows on our essays. I'll miss going to his class for sure!

He is the most caring professor I've had at spc. I got sick exam week and missed the exam so he gave me extra time over break to complete it. Professor Johnson is a must take

I took prof. Johnson as an elective class. I never learned so much in all my years of going to SPC then I did while taking his class. He's so understandable and reasonable you just have to explain to him your situation and he'll work with you. He's not a tough grader but he makes it clear what he's looking for. ive taken professor johnson for enc 1101 and enc 1102, ive thoroughly both classes and would recommend to anyone. he was by far the easiest As i have ever received. he makes clear gradings, telling you what to work on, how to work on it, and gives a week for a rewrite to fix the errors for additional 10 points. so funny, and caring about his class

Very unclear grading criteria, pretty confusing. Tough grader, but offers advice after the grade has been submitted. Usually allows for rewriting. He has his own syllabus/handbook it gets pretty confusing. Great guy, fair teacher

Professor Johnson is good. Lots of papers and journal entries. He does not use a textbook, your grades are solely from your journal entries, quizzes, and papers. He is a tough grader but gives good feedback. I would take him again.
