I hate his class. It is bad because he constantly picks on the same kids about a mistake they made at the beginning of the year. I don't like his boring lectures on history when we should be learning about what will help us do better in critically reading and writing.
This class is hard when it comes to expectations but the lectures are always interesting. I think we are learning much more than many other 101 classes. He is very helpful and takes his time explaining things.
This is one of the best classes I have ever had. I think that he is teaching us far more than just about books and writing and my other instructors have noticed my writing getting much better. He is really funny in class but seems to take teaching seriously at the same time. I think next semester will be great.
Neeraj is HOT!!! Attracted to his views about life and the spirit he brings into the class. His class is tough and he's a brutal marker. Have no idea what to study for in his class and he needs to start using WEBCT!! I have no idea how we would study for his class without attending them.
I think he is a hard teacher. If you want to learn alot about English history, take his class. His quizzes and tests are very difficult. If you want to do well, avoid him unless you're very good at English.
He is a very nice guy who is always willing to help his students succeed. He is also funny too, and tells some of the strangest stories just to wake you up in the mornings. His class is A LOT HARDER then any other Eng 101 class, and he gives more notes in it then all my other bloody courses combined. He is also a BRUTAL marker with higher expectations.
Now what kind of CRAZY introductory English class have I gotten myself into! It's only a first year course but damn it sometimes feels like 4th year one. Just be prepared to work harder then most of the other Eng 101 classes if you hope to survive this course. On the up side, Prakash is really nice, considerate and helpful.
One of the most helpful teachers out there. Spends lots of time helping students outside of class. In class he is hilarious but everything seems to have a point. He marks hard but fair. My writing improved quite a bit, and now I acutally enjoy reading. Best teacher ever.
He is super smart but he is a horrid teacher
Neeraj is really nice, and really smart...but a very hard marker!
Hard maker but he wants you to do well. If your not a strong english writer like me, go and talk to him outside class or office hours and he will help you tremendously. Great guy overall
There's a reason I only missed one of his classes all semester. He's a hard marker and his notes are some of the most unorganized I've ever seen, but ultimately he wants you to succeed. He makes himself openly available for help outside class, and I enjoyed his teaching. He's very intelligent and talks very fast. Attend class and you'll do fine.
Neeraj is quite likable. I did not like to miss his classes because his lecture were very entertaining. He is hilarious at times and full of charisma. He's a tough marker, however, and if you fall behind you might be in big trouble. He's very helpful. Extra effort may be required and you MUST attend class; if not, you may not do well in tests.
Easily the best teacher I have ever had, he marks harder, but he does tell you how to get a A+, and if you do indeed follow the instructions, you are more or less guaranteed to do very well. His classes is never boring, which is a bonus!
such a wicked teacher.... made be a better writer....Has rewrites, which is amazing so there is always a chance to improve your mark...always tells the best stories and relates them back to what you are learning that day....Very helpful if your having trouble... Is always willing to edit essays for other classes... such a smart and nice guy...
i took the class with him in the summer, he is a hard marker, but one of the best and MOST FAIR english teacher's i've ever had. He is very entertaining and even made the 3 hrs classes pass by quickly.i would definately reccomend him, if he know's u're working hard he is willing to help, and is really nice.
Neeraj is an extremely interesting individual. Not only does he make English interesting, but he makes life in general that much cooler!
u won't feel u r in an english class at all!!
A truly amazing teacher. I will always remember his stories and teachings. :)
Excellent teacher - fun class to be in and he really goes the extra mile. The only problem is he's a terribly hard marker, but to his credit if you ask about your marks on your own time with him personally, he'll explain it 100%. I went once to have him show me what I did wrong and he absolutely put my essay to shame, but helped a ton.
Such an awesome teacher! He really made me love reading and writing boring things! Definitely get in his class.
Best teacher I have ever had! He started off every class with a very interesting story that would take up at least 20 minutes of time. Sometimes his stories seemed far fetched, but I would take his class again in a heartbeat. He is a little bit of a difficult marker, but was very approachable when you had questions. He made me love English even more
hes really nice and really funny. his lectures are full of interesting stories and life experiences, he really made my class so much more interesting!
Great Teacher- All the info learned helped me write other essays! i enjoyed his personal stories and the way he breaks everything down so everyone can understand him! VERY GOOD PROF!!!
A hard marker, for sure, but a teacher who gives students every opportunity to succeed. Neeraj always has an anecdote to tell his students and has built a personal connection with all of us. He is a great teacher - Though the subject matter of the class is dry, he makes it a joy to attend.
Great prof in my opinion. He always offered help and would always do to the best of his abilities. Material was boring but he tried to make the class interesting by telling interesting stories about himself. I would gladly take another on of his course.
He was amazingly fun to listen to and he tells great, funny stories. If you do the readings and keep up you'll do great and have an enjoyable time. He is super helpful and will gladly go over anything you feel you need help with, and he allows re-writes for papers. He does give somewhat erratic notes because he jumps around a lot when explaining.
Amazing teacher. Really really helpful, tells great stories to keep you interested. Very passionate about the subject and very knowledgeable. Highly recomment this class!
A great professor with a world of experience to share, highly recommended to take one of his classes.
super helpful, great stories in class, always makes the students laugh. absolute beauty .
Amazing prof! Always more than willing to set aside time if you need to go see him for extra help, best prof I have ever had. He makes it easy to learn the material and always tells interesting life stories.
Good prof, but he grades way too harshly for a 100 level teacher.
He is the best teacher I've ever had.
Excellent, excellent, excellent professor!!! Super nice gentleman, very passionate and is always available for help! I would strongly suggest meeting with him if you need extra help as well. Trust me its worth it! Make sure if you take ENGL 102 or 103, take it with Neeraj! You will not be disappointed!
I took his class online, and i'm glad i stopped by his office. I've never had such an amazing prof who helped me in so many ways. He taught my a life lesson how the small things add up, which will stick with me forever. I honestly would retake the class with him, because he was so influential. Best professor i've ever had! 5 Star!
Best prof ever, no regrets :D
Very interesting prof. His class is entertaining. His notes can be hard to follow and quizzes are hard. He has high standards for his essays, but nothing you wouldn't expect from an english professor. Overall as far as an english class goes, I'd recommend him over any of the others I've had.
Really fun. His class is worth taking, he is a hard marker, but if you go to his office he'll basically write an essay for you.
BEST PROF EVER!
One of THE BEST profs EVER! He may seem intimidating, but trust me, he is super nice & easy to approach. You should do the readings - he does call on people in class. He's a little fast with notes & his tests are fair. With essays he is VERY helpful. Go to his office and he will practically write you an outline and you just fill in the blanks! :)
best teacher ever.
Best Prof! Took this course online and Neeraj answered emails quickly and if i was confused on something he always had links to websites for further practice/instruction!
Best prof yet. Can be a tough marker at times on essays, quizzes a breeze. Very entertaining and interesting. Classes are interactive and fun, get to know him and your class mates. One of the best university experiences, an absolute must have!
Favorite prof yet. Up until his class I hated english but he made it fun and interactive. Huge on story telling and makes class super interesting. Do all the assignments and show up to class and you're golden. Definitely would have him again.
This Semester English 102 was my favourite class by a long shot. I think a lot of it had to do with Neeraj. He really wants you to do well and always makes time for students even outside his office hours if need be. If you can schedule a class with him, do it! I hope he teaches 103.
Best prof ever, is a bit of a hard marker but allows you to do some test with a partner as well as redo some assignment to boost mark. responds to emails almost immediately and is always available to meet with students in his office. gives great help and really explains where marks are being taken off and how to fix them.
The ability to connect and communicate with your students is often hard to do with students, Neeraj has found that ground, and his teaching methods are great. He's very understanding, and flexible when he's able to. I definitely learned a lot from his class.
AMAZING prof! hated English all my life and this year I'd actually enjoy coming to class. He takes the time out of his schedule to help you and is an amazing teacher overall. Tough marker but is always there to explain what you did wrong and even give you a chance to make it up. hes hilarious and made class so much fun. would take his class again!
Neeraj Cares about his students and helps to teach us, he doesn't try I learn something new in his class everytime!
TAKE. THIS. CLASS. I finished this classing feeling inspired, i wish neeraj taught every subject and i could take him for everything. He loves what he does and makes english so exciting. If he likes you and you respect him, thats even better. Hell ive you an easy time and make it better for you! Just show up cause theres lots of notes.
Amazing teacher! Loved his class. He is a tough marker but fair. Very helpful if you go to see him in his office ours. Allows re-do's for some assignments. The final was open book and quizzes could be done in partners. Explains everything clearly. Does not have or use blackboard. Fast talker so write notes fast. One of the best profs I've ever had
Neeraj tells some of the most powerful and inspirational stories I've ever heard, he relates most of them to the topic being covered and really changes the way you look at things. Probably the best prof I've ever had!
Neeraj made me love english. He is so funny and teaches in a way that makes you interested. He is a tough and fair marker, go to his office and he will pretty much write your essay for you.
He's a good teacher but is a very tough marker. Most often if you go into his office to see him, he will tell you one thing, then mark you wrong for it on your paper. He's slow at responding to emails, and sometimes forgets he has students coming to see him during office hours, so you're waiting while he doesn't show up.
Awesome professor! As someone who is not an english person I found his class to be very enjoyable, even at 8 a.m. I thought he was a very helpful teacher who wants students to do their best without handing out good marks.
Awesome professor!! highly recommenced.
Hilarious prof really cares about his students but really tough marker.
Amazing lectures, great professor who genuinely cares for his students and wants them to succeed. I am so happy that I got him!
By far the worst prof ever. Useless feedback, hard marker and way to many assignments.
Neeraj enthuses his class by telling fascinating stories and relates these stories to course material. His lectures are entertaining and help you easily remember the course content! He is always available to meet and discuss anything you may be unclear about in his office. He is a tough marker but only because he wants you to succeed and improve!
He was the best teacher I have ever had. Most inspirational, kind, funny, and genuine guy. I really felt like I mattered in that class and wasn't just another face in a crowd. I highly recommend taking a class from him. He will make you a better writer and person.
The classes were always interesting, but were very unpredictable. He is a very outgoing professor who encourages in class participation, and this also includes group work. The quizzes were always different but usually open book so not too difficult. This professor requested class presentations for the final paper.
Neeraj was an awesome prof. Class went by so fast because he was always telling stories. He is a super tough marker, but we were always given the chance to rewrite if needed. He gives good feedback which really helps as well. Our final project was an in-class presentation, but it definitely wasn't as cringe worthy as I had thought.
Tough Grader, don't recommend,
Probably one of the best English instructors I've ever had. He's not as tough a marker as many say he is. He is however highly perceptive and keen when marking papers, and could pick out the the smallest detail that one would have missed. Mandatory attendance, but I've enjoyed attending all his classes, listening to his stories. Highly recommended.
Neeraj made class go by so fast with his interesting stories and jokes. He rarely uses the board. He speaks fast but is more than okay with repeating himself if you didn't catch everything. Throughout the semester he will ask students how they find the class and considers everyone's opinion. Go to his office hours if needed, he is extremely helpful
I pretty much dreaded English classes up until Neeraj's class. He is a great prof, wants to get to know everybody and wants you to succeed. Lots of assignments, however his lectures are always so entertaining! Outstanding prof, among the best I've had at MacEwan and would love to take a class with him again.
Neeraj was very helpful inside and out of class. He wanted everyone to become excellent writers and carry the skills from his class into our other classes. Ask him for writing help he will in depthly guide you through! His lectures were engaging and informative. He is very nice and really funny! His exams were easy if you were well prepared.
Mr. Prakash is a great teacher, he is constantly telling personal stories to relate to his lectures. He is a tough grader but if you go and see him for extra help, he will gladly help you in anyway he can! He will always keep you interested in the lectures. I would highly recommend him if you like to learn in a fun and creative ways.
Really good prof who wanted to help people. He wanted to give good grades, and was willing to meet with you in his office to help.
I don't usually rate professors, but Neeraj was the best professor I ever had in my 3 years of university. He wants you to succeed in anyway possible; he always offers extra office hours, extensions, and re-writes if needed. Amongst that, he was so inspirational and hilarious! Definitely recommend him!!!
Had Neeraj for Comp Lit 102, was a very passionate teacher and clearly loves his students and what he does. Not very structured during lectures and no notes put on blackboard so attendance is fairly necessary. Heavy reading throughout the course as it is an English course, and quite a bit of group work. Good class if you like ancient mythology.
This guy is great. Tells a ton of personal stories that really tie into the topic, and makes sure everyone is engaged. Take his class you won't regret it! You might (will definitely) learn something.
Great prof! Not an overly structured class, so if you depend on structure, you won't find it here. Regardless, Neeraj is engaged and genuine and takes his students needs into account. I would recommend attending lectures and doing the readings, though. Otherwise, you might find midterms and exams difficult. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions!
Such a genuine guy. Went to his office hours many times. I've only had him for Comp-Lit 102 but highly recommend a class with him. I went to his office hours for essay help and he basically wrote my essay for me with the amount of help and advice he gave.
The best prof I've ever had!!
The best prof I've ever had. Extremely helpful in class as well as during his office hours. Take advantage of his office hours and you will do well! Participate because I think he enjoys it. His stories are great, he liked to challenge people, and all in all would definitely take another class with him if possible.
Did not like him. there is a 10% attendance mark and I showed up to EVERY class and he gave me low attendance mark. He is a tough marker and has such a random marking system... i got a 17.1 on a paper.... WHERE DOES THE 0.1 COME FROM? He doesnt do things according to calender so if you miss a day you might miss an in class assignment and lose 10%
He's a cool guy and tells interesting stories but the assignment guidelines are unclear. Received a failing mark on attendance when I missed 1 class. I've always done well on papers in other classes but just passed all of his. The class is light and spontaneous but I would have preferred it to be more structured considering his high expectations.
Neeraj is a nice enough person but if he doesn't like your writing its really hard to get better marks than what you start with. He contradicted himself on the feedback he gave me numerous times and because of that I didn't get the mark I wanted at all and felt like I just couldn't get it with him. I wouldn't take any course he teaches ever again.
Very engaging lectures riddled with hilarious and interesting stories that help you understand the topic better. He is very encouraging and and caring to all his students and gives tremendous amounts of help in his office hours too. Had no idea what to write for a paper but after his help, it couldn't have been easier. Easy to understand and fun.
Neeraj tells lots of stories, which make his class enjoyable to go to. However, he does not give a study guide for his midterm, likes to give surprise writing assignments, and makes students read out loud. He also appears to like group projects. If you dont like group work, find a different prof! He also marks quite hard. Not an easy A.
I thought Neeraj was fantastic. He gave really helpful feedback which made writing assingments less stressful. His intentions seem to be to help you as much as he can for your benefit. Also his stories/ examples are interesting, which makes his lectures fun.
Neeraj is a fun professor. He is a tough marker and lacks structure with his assignments but if you meet him in office hours he is quite helpful. He does not respond to emails quickly. His lectures are really fun and his stories were super funny. If he could give his students more templates on the papers that would make it 100x easier. Participate!
Neeraj doesn't didn't have rubrics. It's hard to know what is required for a good grade
I LOVE LOVE LOVE him for English 103. His stories are hilarious, and they relate well to the themes of the stories. He definitely makes you work for your grade, but that should encourage students to see him in his office hours. If you go see him, he's super helpful and the rewards will show. Super funny, tough concepts, but best English prof ever.
He's a hard marker but be sure to go and talk to him after class so that he can guide you to the style of writting he wants to see, then the course isnt too hard at all, NO final and the quizzes are very simple. Easy class to pass if you put in the time
He's a very approachable teacher which helps a lot if you need help or are confused about anything. Hilarious guy, first English class I haven't dreaded going to.
Attend class because he doesnt post notes and a lot of the syllabus can change so you need to be in class to know the updated information & changes to expectations for certain essays & their dates. Tough grader when it comes to the responses and some you have to present in class (which wasnt that bad as he gives options to ppl who are anxious)
A hilarious guy who has a passion for English and wants his students succeed. Very approachable and gives great advice for papers in office hours, he pretty much outlines the paper for you and if you follow his outline and structure, easy A. The lack of structure might take some time getting used to but overall, fantastic prof.
He is awesome. His notes are to be taken from what he says in class, he never posts them on writes them on the board for you so coming to class is a must. But his lectures are enjoyable and I loved the class
An extremely energetic prof that revels in personal life stories that somehow miraculously tie back to the course content brilliantly. Group work and class discussions are areas that he evaluates students in. Prakash's marking scheme is tough but doable and is readily available outside of class for assistance. Overall a solid choice for a prof!
This is hands down the best professor you could ask for, he doesn't make you feel stupid at all. He is always willing to help you and further explain concepts if you are struggling. He is purely amazing and never makes you feel uncomfortable. I love him! Would take again in a heartbeat! He uses real life stories he went through to teach English!
I used to dread going to English class, but not with Neeraj! Makes the end of my day a little better. His stories are to die for. GO TO CLASS, follow his essay rubric, and you'll probably get a pretty decent mark! Would totally take him again for 103 if I had the option.
Neeraj has amazing and fun lectures that will keep you captivated and motivated in English class. He is hilarious and tells the most amazing stories to help you understand the concept better. He has high standards so he is a tough marker, however, he does give you valuable feedback. Attendance matters and he does encourage participation
Neeraj was a great prof and taught with a lot of passion and enthusiasm. For a very dry course, he made his lectures fun and entertaining. Although he is a tough grader, he is very clear in what he wants/his criteria and gives you a chance to improve your mark. Very accesible outside of class and very helpful. Would definitely recommend him.
Dr. Prakash was able to make a prerequisite with otherwise boring content quite fun! He has wonderful lectures, and is certainly not your typical professor. He is a hard marker, and you need to show up for class, but I can't recommend him enough.
The literal love of my life. Always enthusiastic and passionate about what he's teaching, keeps you engaged with jokes and stories, is an excellent English professor who really knows his stuff He's so helpful and understanding if you're having problems in or outside of class. There aren't enough words to describe how amazing this guy is. Take him!!
Neeraj is a real gem. I always left class inspired and motivated. He can seem a bit intimidating. Though he doesn't mean to, you can tell he cares about everyone. His stories are lovely but his grading isn't. I took this in the condenced spring class under a lot of pressure so maybe that's why but i couldnt get higher than an 80 with him.
I was lucky to have Neeraj as my prof for my first year. I've hated English classes since high school and as beyond shocked to find myself enjoying this class and doing well on my assignments. Neeraj is a flamboyant prof that made a dry class so exciting. I looked forward to it everyday and hope to have him again in the future.
If you go to his office hours and make sure you understand the material - which is very simple, youll do very well in his class. He tells very fun stories as examples during his lectures too. Neeraj is a wonderful prof and I would happily recommend him to anyone taking ENGL 102!
Neeraj is an absolute beauty. I looked forward to English class everyday with him. He always had great stories to tell, and gave good instructions as to what he was expecting for papers. He was also always willing to help students during his office hours, and was a fair prof. If you get the opportunity, take him!
Great teacher and connects well with his students
Absolutely amazing! Neeraj is super hilarious and will keep you entertained the entire class. He marks extremely hard, and it is very hard to get good marks on essays. His tests are all open book, and the class is extremely fair. If you have a chance to take this class with Neeraj, do it.
Neeraj was incredible, considering I am not great at English - I couldn't have asked for any better. He has great stories that interest you and connect you to the subject matter where possible. Quizzes and midterm done with a partner. The questions were given to you for the final. He gives great, clear feedback on assignments. Overall INCREDIBLE!!!
I can't stop gushing over how good Mr. Prakash is. During this pandemic, he's been super accommodating. He's down to earth and gives real advice and criticisms. He is super transparent and doesn't dance around things. I enjoy writing a lot more now because of him and I've improved a lot. I'm not sure how good he is irl but he's done good online!
I took his class almost three years ago to the day, and as I have continued in academia, I truly believe that he is the reason why. A good of a man as he is a prof, as he will sit down and listen to your simplest questions in the hopes that you improve.
Neeraj was an amazing prof! He is a tough grader but if you meet with him he is willing to help you out and gives great feedback. There is quite a bit of writing but all of it is helpful with the final. He is also pretty funny and doesn't take things too seriously. Highly recommend him!
Neeraj was absolutely an amazing professor. I originally had to take this class as a requirement but he made it worth it. He cares for his students so much, & even though he is a tough grader he gives great feedback and always offers to work one on one so you understand completely what he is asking from you. His lectures are great and fun to be in!
A nice prof but disorganized. Changes to syllabus or assignments not always announced. Instructions can be vague. Grades are based on your ability to follow instructions so if you don't understand something, absolutely ask questions. Had 5 papers and a final exam. Make sure you have proper citation formatting. Grades and answers emails quickly.
Awesome guy. Awesome dog, too.
Amazing prof! I was someone who struggled in English but he managed to make the class simple and engaging. He's also willing to arrange 1 on 1 meeting with you to discuss feedback which is great. He can be a tough grader but if you do exactly what he tells you to do then you'll be fine.
So many assignments due. We had minimum 2 assignments due each week but most of the time it was 3.
I really enjoyed Neeraj. His lectures are fun to listen to and he is truly passionate about this topic, he is also a very clear communicator and gives excellent feedback. He is readily available outside of class to help students and truly wants to see you succeed. I found he can be a bit of a tougher grader though.
Neeraj is such an awesome English professor! 100% would recommend as he has made this class enjoyable and his instructions are clear for every essay you write. He is accessible out of class and is always willing to help students out. He gives extra marks where he can and is overall an easy marker. Lots of homework but grade weight is small.
Neeraj was an amazing teacher! His lectures were very engaging in my opinion, he tells a lot of stories that connect to the topic we are learning about, and he's really funny! This was literally the only class I looked forward to. He is easily available out of class and he gives good feedback as well.
If you don't attend class, goodbye to a quarter of your grade. His lectures are entertaining, and he is very helpful. However, he is a hard marker and only gives feedback if asked for. Sometimes, what he asks for and wants is slightly different and frustrating.
Neeraj changed my life. His lectures are fun and extremely entertaining, and he fills them with real life stories to relate to his teachings. He will always dedicate time outside of class to help give students feedback.
I really enjoy his class! its really engaging and he's hilarious and actually makes the class entertaining. Ive heard people say he's a tough marker however I found his marking to be pretty fair. He's a really understanding guy and is willing to be accommodating to you.
Absolutely LOVED Neeraj for my first english course. Neeraj is a fair grader and will take the time to answer your questions. Attendance is mandatory but I found that his lectures were so fun and engaging that I actually looked forward to his classes. Be prepared to write a fair amount of essays and journal entries. HIGHLY recommend this prof.
Neeraj is probably one of the best professors at MacEwan, he is super engaging and uses lots of personal stories not only for engagement purposes but relates to the class content. He is old fashioned in the way that he lectures with minimal written material, he scribbles on the board but otherwise its all vocal notes, so be aware.
Amazing prof, very engaging/entertaining lectures. Fair marker and gives good feedback, LOTS of writing assignments so be prepared. Also be prepared if you're shy because he will call on people in class. I would say attendance is mandatory because no class content is posted online. Textbook is necessary. Highly recommend this prof for English 105.
Great person and teacher, keeps lectures very entertaining and is overall very interesting to listen too. However he is quite the hard marker so unless you're really good at English, I would take a couple GPA boosters to balance it out. Great guy and overall amazing teacher.
Amazing professor, the content and things discussed in this class truly impacted the way I look at life, through all sorts of lens and perspectives! Highly recommend if you feel as if you are unsure what you want from university, life, or even if you want a professor who is very engaging! I took him for both engl 102 and 105, glad I did!
I had a love hate relationship with him. One the one hand he is SO fun and inspiring... BUT he had far too many writing assignments and was a hard marker. Attend class because he doesn't post notes and what you write you should use in your papers. I would take if you think you are good at English but beware... his grading may crush your spirit
cannot recommend him ENOUGH! super engaging and he made english fun as someone that hated writing. tells lots of fun stories to further explain class material. has a great sense of humour. if you're shy he might be intimidating at first but u get used to it! he will give u book recommendations if you ask :). overall super fun prof. u wont regret it
One of the best professors/teachers I have ever had! His lectures were very engaging, and he cared a lot about the success of his students. He marks quite hard, but his assessments are fair. Be prepared to attend his lectures as participation is 10% of your grade. I hate writing but he made it much easier to approach these types of assignments.
Actually loved this guy
Best professor I've had in all of my years.
ENGL-103 is a mandatory class for students, so do yourself a favour and take it with Neeraj. He makes all the content feel fascinating, he's incredibly kind and wise, gives amazing feedback, and just is an all around joy of a person to learn from. 10/10 experience. I'll genuinely miss him as a professor.
great energy, super passionate, but he is a little bit of a hard marker. I am usually a high 80s-90s in english and I was averaging 80 in this class, mostly due to the fact that the assignements are out of 5 pts and essays out of 20, so they weigh heavier. I would take him again! worth it.
If you need to take English 105, I highly recommend you do so with Neeraj! My one and only critique is he can be a tough grader, but he is really easy to talk to, and he makes lectures so interesting! You can always ask him for any help when needed as well! Neeraj is probably one of the best professors i've had within my time here at MacEwan!
Neeraj is a great prof. His lectures were always filled with cool stories that kept the class entertaining. 10/10, would take again.
love this dude
Professor Neeraj makes this class so engaging and entertaining - his personal stories really bring the content to life. While he's a tough grader, he's super helpful and the lectures are worth attending. For study prep, unstuck study was a game-changer alongside the textbook.
Neeraj is an amazing professor, if you have the chance to take him, do it. He marked the first assignment tough, which lit a fire under my ass and then after that, marks were very fair, he wants to see you improve your writing! The lectures are so fun!!! i looked forward for his class, even though it was at 8am Lol
Super engaging, will explain more thoroughly if asked, lots of personal stories, wants to get to know his students, very kind guy!
Neeraj had come into our class unexpectedly with three weeks left of the semester, due to our old prof having to leave. He has been so understanding of our position, very easy to talk to and responds very quick and clearly to emails. He is willing to adapt to certain things we need, such as learning hardships and unknowing of what is going on. MVP!
Truly one of the most memorable classes I have ever taken. Neeraj changed my perspective on writing. He's hilarious, personable, and provides lots of feedback. He's an amazing storyteller as if he's putting on a performance each class. I went from someone who didn't like writing to someone who did by the end of the term. Highly recommend him.
Was not looking forward to this class prior to the semester but Neeraj made it enjoyable, I woudl actually look forward to this class by the end of the semester. He Provides clear instructions for papers and his lectures were super intriguing, also giving great individual feedback on writing assignments.
He made English enjoyable in whatever way that is possible. If you have the option to take him, do it. He is a super tough grader, and it is hard to get high grades in this class. However it was definitely the best class I've taken so far.
This professor was very inspirational and understanding. He really changed the way I see writing. He is wise, philosophical, and hilarious, which made the class enjoyable. I would definitely take this professor again.
